Lezzet Turkish Kitchen in Cardiff

My mum and I attended on a Friday evening. The waiters were so attentive throughout. For mains, we had the seafood lezzet way and the moussaka which were both delicious and we didn't have to wait long at all.

The best place in Cardiff! Fantastic food and service. We visited Cardiff only for two nights and we ate there twice. Definitely I am coming back!

I had a greay time here, the food were great and delicious- to die for! Our waiter, Rez was a delightful lad. Very cheerful, helpful, and we had a very pleasant time here. Must visit for Turkish cuisine if you're in Cardiff!!

Food was great we had meze plate. Turkish mezra are the best. We had mixed shish and lamb iskender köfte. Meat was quite tasty. Stuff was friendly they gave us free baklava(dessert) prices were affordable. Shout out to chef @REZ great cooking

We went for a team meeting in cardiff and booked to eat here after reading the reviews on trip advisor, well all I can say is the reviews were right it's absolutely stunning, I had the sarma beyti my friends had the mixed grill all of it was stunning and the waiters are so friendly and tentative

Absolutely fantastic experience! The pirzola was incredibly delicious—perfectly seasoned and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. One of senior staff was so biased in his treatment of Customers. Our kunaffa was burnt and found pricy for the portions. Otherwise junior staff was very friendly.

Food was good, but cannot say the same for service. The place was almost completely empty when we arrived. I asked for a table on the first floor. The answer was no because it was not open etc. Shortly after a family arrived and given a table on the first floor. We were not allowed to use the toilettes on the first floor. There was also hair in the pizza so we returned it.

It was awesome! We ate the Lahmacun. I enjoyed the starters. I hadn't had Lahmacun in years so this was an excellent experience for me. I am glad I went here. The Turkish tea was one of my favourites! It was delicious!

Wonderful lunch here. We always have a good meal here. We were really well looked after by the staff. A lovely welcoming place and a really buzzy atmosphere. Highly recommended can't wait to come back.

Very bad service .Took 2hrs to get the food.

I definitely do not recommend it. It was a terrible experience. It came with a green coloured lahmacun which was definitely not the same as Turkish style lahmacun and it cost £6.50 which is unbelievable

I’m Cardiff on a work trip and this was a lovely restaurant to visit. Lovely staff, delicious food. It was very popular for birthday celebrations the evening I was in. The food is extremely good value too. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

The food is good but it doesn’t make up for the racist waiters. I would have loved to be served what I had ordered and I would have loved had the waiter not referred to every dish that was being served to me as “chicken tikka masala”. It would be a better place if that waiter is fired.

Lovely food and service. I didn't have a reservation but was seated for lunch. They also have a special lunch menu which was very reasonably priced. The hummus and falafel were delicious

We came here as a group a couple of weeks ago and had a really wonderful time. We were quite late in the evening so there were a couple of desserts they'd run out of but we were informed very quickly and there were so many delicious options we really easily found alternatives. Everything arrived very quickly and was really tasty. They even made it really easy for us to pay separately which was really helpful. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone, the menu has such a wide range of options that you're sure to find something to tempt you. I will 100% be back!

A gem of an independent restaurant amongst all the chains. Lovely food, staff and atmosphere. I had the Lamb adana, absolutely delicious.

We were served by Rezan who was very friendly and polite. A bread bowl with hummus and olives was included on house, and a piece of baklava at the end. The food was amazing and really good portion size too!

That was the first time we have visit the restaurant and we can definitely recommend. We've been welcome with freshly baked starters, food was delicious, portions size just right, and everything was served almost immediately, in the most kind and professional manner I've seen for a long time. We stumbled upon this place on a Saturday shopping expedition. The meat was marinated to perfection and beautifully cooked. A really lovely Saturday lunch with great service. Deff going back.

We went here because the online menu has clearly labelled vegan options, which were replicated on the printed menu we were given, once seated. However, when I started to discuss which dishes were vegan with our server, he said they offer vegetarian, but not vegan food. I pointed out their key at the front of the menu that indicated veggie/vegan/gluten free options. He said he'd worked there for 3 years and nobody had ever asked for vegan food. After going to check with a chef, he returned to inform us the chef could make vegetarian dishes but couldn't guarantee that any would be vegan, despite what the menu said. We thanked him for his honesty and left without ordering. I fully support any restaurant's right to not provide dishes to suit specialist requirements but it bothers me that the menu offers apparently false reassurances of dietary options that aren't reflected by the serving staff nor the chefs.

What an amazing place in the heart of Cardiff! Excellent food, welcoming staff. My son felt like meeting old friends 😃Good variety of food but if you have fussy little eaters with you, there are fish finger and chicken nugget options for them. But for all others - try traditional Turkish food and you will not regret it. If we ever return to Cardiff, we will return to Lezzet Turkish Kitchen.

We didn't have a reservation but we were promptly seated. Had the mixed platter and kleftico. All the meats were very tasty. The mashed potatoes that accompanied the lamb wasn't the best but the lamb made it forgivable. The raspberry cooler was refreshingly sweet and the bartender was kind enough to make a strawberry version for my son. Overall, a nice experience. Would definitely visit again.

I visited Lezzet in Autumn 2024 for dinner. I had the mixed grill plate (pictured). The food was exceptional - all fresh and well cooked. Service was great and accommodating. I would recommend and visit again!

Me and my family went there in July and we were looking for a place to pray Asr and they welcomed us and gave us space to pray and to do Wudhuu. Even after we finished, they gave us free tea and refused to let us pay. Everything there was delicious and the service was beyond excellent. Thank you to everyone there 💓

Not being locals and in need of good diner, the gamble on Turkish usually pays off at value and taste. Location is excellent and the styling was very welcoming. The restaurant was very busy for midweek evening, again a good sign. The service from start to finish was very good and friendly. Food was very tasty (lentil soup and anything out of the grill was perfect). Starters were too small portions (mixed meze on huge plate is just table space wasted) but mains were good size and delicious. It's on the pricey side but the experience was good.

I wouldn't say it is the best Turkish restaurant I've ever been, but it still deserves 5* Staff are very welcoming, explaining the menu, and offering some bread, humus, and the best olives while I am waiting for my food. I've ordered a mixed shish, the portion is reasonable, but I was very hungry and had to order a lahmacum to topped up. Location is in the heart of town, just a few steps from the castle and the shopping centre. The restaurant is very clean and bright. I would definitely go back next time I'm in Cardiff.

Delicious food. Generous portions. I had a chicken shisk and other half had Chicken Princess. Sauvignon Blanc was good and again a generous glass. We had a slight wait but a large party was in just before us.

We have eaten at Lezzet several times in the last few months and the food and service have been brilliant every time. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere in the restaurant is always warm and relaxed no matter how busy it is. The menu is really varied offering a wide range of traditional Turkish cuisine - everything we have tried so far has been absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Sarma Beyti - it’s a flavour sensation! Give it a go. You will not be disappointed.

Really delicious, and such a lively, friendly atmosphere. The staff were incredible. They did forget to bring up our Moroccan mint tea, but they noticed this mistake after no more than 10 minutes (even we hadn't realised!) and they gave us another one on the house, which we certainly didn't expect, but really appreciated. I'll definitely be coming back!

Food was lovely but the staff hovered around us most of the time. When it came to paying I noticed they'd input an additional £10 (£75 instead of £65), I don't think it was an accident?!

Service was weird and slow, food was even worse. 3 calarmaris for £7 and the starter bread was just a few scraggly trimmings of leftover bread, I should've taken a photo. Can tell they just try to cut corners and do not care.

Not the best Turkish restaurant I've been to. My experience broken down below: Food/Presentation (3/5) - As you can see from the pictures, I ordered the chicken beyti. The pieces were just thrown on the plate with the sauce just slapped about. This didn't concern me too much initially, as it's the taste that matters. But even that was underwhelming. They also didn't bother to give me any salad Service (2/5) - Not very warm or attentive. The bloke serving seemed like he was being inconvenienced when I asked about the items. He just wanted to go back to his seat on his phone. Not at all surprised they then couldn't be bothered with providing salad or any effort into the presentation. Tables/location (5/5) - the restaurant itself was very spacious, clean and had a comfortable atmosphere. Overall, a 2/5 for me. Nowhere near as good as other Turkish restaurants I've been to. For the price I paid, I was expecting better.

Great quality authentic Turkish dishes, cooked fresh and delicious to taste. Very personable service from Antonio who looked after us and made our visit very special. Welcoming and friendly and everything was timed really well. Would definitely book again. Such a wide choice of dishes and reasonable prices.

We should have been taking our daughter out for her birthday meal, but she couldn't make it at the last minute. Big mistake !. So we still went and will be back as soon as we can. Wonderful meal, excellent service, lovely amibiance. We started with Hellim, then had the Meat Musakka - absolutely gorgeous. We also arrived 1/2 hour early - no problem for them, we were seated in minutes. Thankyou to all the staff there for the expeience.

The service is very late. The kebab I wanted came in 40 minutes. Everything is very expensive.

I went for the 'seafood Lezzet way' meal and I was thoroughly satisfied with the taste and portion of the food. Full of flavour which I will come back to whenever I'm back in Cardiff. Turkish food is top tier!! S/O to Antonio!

With my wife we were on a few days visit in Cardiff. Lezzet was our choice for dinner. I thought I have tried all the food from the region but there was something different in the dish of appetizers. Along with the babaganoush, hummus, tabouli, cacik and pink flavored yogurt, there was Kisir. The taste was very powerful and at the same time intriguing friendly. All that with the in house made owen pita bread was a great complement to the raki and the beer EFES. The baked lamb shank was cooked to perfection and was melting in my mouth 🤌 The staff was super friendly and at the same time professional. If you are a foodie, do yourself a favor and visit Lezzet.

Amazing food and great service.

Who comes to Cardiff and eats Turkish food? Well I do from now on. We order the shared plate for 2 and it was delicious and the servings were very generous! The Turkish chili n the side added just the right amount of heat. Finished with baklava and Turkish tea. Highly recommend!

Unbelievable, popped in on a whim and so glad we did. Served hot bread and dips as an appetiser before mains of chicken wings and sarma beyti both meals came beautifully presented and the taste was amazing. Shout out too Antonio and the staff who made the experience a 10/10

Food is good. Staff were not very welcoming, they looked rather annoyed. They asked to pay by cash not card which was weird. He wasn't very happy when we said we don't have cash. He brought the card machine which worked fine.

The food was tasty but the services were awful. We told the staff we had 9 people but they only provided 8 sets of cutlery and water glasses. As half of our gang were kids/ youngsters and we didn’t have a big stomach, we ordered a platter (for 4 persons) and a pizza with kid meals to share. The staff then just gave us 5 plates to use for sharing, thinking that some of us were not going to eat anything. 10% service charge was automatically added to the bill, and the staff insisted that we should pay by cash even none of us had so much cash in hand. The good quality of food was simply ruined by the poor customer services.

This gentleman who welcomed us was clearly not interested- wearing white shirt while other waiters were dark colour. Then at the end he had the cheek to ask for cash only, despite standing next to a card payment machine. Food is average Absolutely awful experience. Never returning

Those who work are not respectful and do not respect people’s desire to choose, and sometimes they increase the bill.

They were very disrespectful and the staff were very racist we were so uncomfortable we couldn't even eat our meal this is the last time for me and the food was not good👎🏻

Customer service was fantastic...very polite and friendly from greeting you to you leaving. The team spirit was more than work to them...it felt more like a family vibe... Nothing was a bother at all....my first proper night out meal other than Indians since being diagnosed as coeliac. They made the visit very pleasant by their patients and understanding. There was plenty of options and they'd substitute where necessary for the set menu parts. Great menu for drinks as well as food and overall a fantastic evening.

Lovely spot in central Cardiff - clean, bright modern restaurant with a fab menu. Lots of choice from hot and cold mezze to tasty kebabs, a nice wine list and great staff. Service was excellent.
