The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in East Midlands

Have been several times always warm welcome and great food. Went today, Sunday for lunch, lovely as always but disappointed that the roast on offer was only chicken or the gammon. The gammon was an option but was on the menu with egg and chips. Having had several ham salads this week in the warm weather, I was looking forward to beef, lamb or pork as my roast. Chicken is the cheap option and therefore made it not quite as special. We eat lots of chicken through the week. For two it’s sometimes not worth cooking a roast. For £16 for the main course I would have expected a better choice, certainly based on my previous visits. The chicken was tasty and good quantity, however just not the same as a nice roasted joint. If returning, would certainly ask ahead what was on the menu if going again for Sunday lunch.

I didn’t know something vegetarian could taste this divine… succulent peppers, amazing crunchy fried falafel all neatly nested in a toasty pitta smothered in hummus. I haven’t tried falafel this good anywhere else .

Placed online order, eta 20.53, arrived at 21.25 after phoning take away who said they would ring me straight back still waiting, food was cold, terrible service

Nice for what it is if your starving but is advise people if you want nice food don’t go here I had a chilli chicken rice box and the rice was cooked to long so it was some wat hard and chicken looked like it had been sat there all day. Basically ended up just eating rice in a box coz rest of it was ****

Terrible food. Cake was stale, I couldn't eat it. Staff did not speak Portuguese. I was very disappointed with the experience.

Great food, good atmposphere , really nice staff that are acomodating but service is very slow especialy just waiting for drinks, tables need to be cleared quicker..I think the drink service needs to be looked at instead of loosing business...would definately visit again

The name is NOT ottoman kitchen, no bar tender, dishes came without the correct accompaniments, £17 for about 3 handfuls of salad with 5 lumps of feta and no dressing posing as "greek salad". However the staff were nice, the Sigara borega (feta cheese in filo pastry) was delicious.

What a brilliant place! Food, drinks and atmosphere make you want to come back.
