Had the Turkish Falafel Sandwich. The best falafel I've ever had and the best food I've had in Nottingham . Highly recommend

the Palestinian Falafel Sandwich was fantastic… like insane. Highly recommend, good prices and freshly made bread. I also got the moussaka which was also a 10/10. thought I’d be able to save some for later but I demolished it all.

I honestly wanted to like this place. I love Falafel and was really eager to try as I heard it was authentic. The veggies were great but unfortunately the Falafels were really bad 😞 I gave 3 stars because I would be willing to go back and try a different falafel.

Great location next to Old Market Square, plenty of outdoor seating. Absolutely brilliant amount of choice, freshly made food. Really enjoyed it and will be returning.

LOVE IT! Never had proper falafels in England, just the dry shop ones - if you've never had a fresh one you need to go try it. Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside 🤤. I've had them by themselves and in a sandwich, both were so good. Staff have seemed really nice and friendly ☺️

Amazing place, saw it from a distance and had no idea that it would be this good. Had the meal for two and four about £20 we were stuffed with the best Mediterranean food that I've had for a long time.

Falafel is one of my favourite places to go in Nottingham for a quick, fair priced and high quality dinner. Jess is amazing, she always welcomes me with a lot of love and great vibes. She’s bubbly and friendly which I’m sure contributes to the love put into the food. I always leave happy.

Amazing food and I wanted to try everything, friendly staff, very very busy, bustling atmosphere lots of takeaways etc. Clearly lots of regular customers who knew staff too. Seems like a well loved place. Happy to eat there again, felt like I was able to get a wholesome, vegetable/wholefood based meal in the middle of a city and that's rare when you feel surrounded by junky fast food

If you’re going for kunafa!! Don't go lol its just not kunafa they just give you a vermicelli baklawa and then if you just say its not what you wanted the staff gets mad at you 🧐 as a Middle Eastern i know what is kunafa and what not so getting mad on asking what it is instead is not really good😒

Really delicious falafel, made really well. Pretty quick and well worth it. There’s some space to sit, but it’s not a massively sit-in space.

Hands down the best falafel place in Nottingham! The food is always fresh and flavours are authentic. It's a small little shop with limited indoor area, the outdoors seating can be nice option on dry days.

Very good and long-established Fallafel house (the first in Nottingham) with a variety of fresh Fallafel specialties. A must try if you are in Nottingham

This place is class. The best place to eat in Nottingham if you’re looking for something nice at lunch or, even better, after a night out. The lady who owns the place (Bibi) is great as well, always so friendly and has great banter too! There needs to be more eateries like this place. One of my favourite places to eat……every time I’m in the city I insist on eating here!

Amazing fresh food, and very friendly staff. this is a vegetarian place the best so far in Nottingham, and located in the city center. shame the shop is too small for eating inside....I mainly go for a takeaway now.

I really liked the taste of falafel. Palestinian falalfel pitta with Tahini sauce was incredible. KARAK tea was amazing. I would come again and again

We really enjoyed the delicious food. We shared a ‘meal for 2’ which had a verity of everything and left us feeling sufficiently full. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere of the center, they do have heaters over a couple of outdoor tables but no cover for rain. I would come back.

The falafel sandwich here is too good, especially when out in the city. The Falafel was so crisp and the blend of flavours was just so good. Jess was also class, great humour and she gave us the best picks on the menu

They advertise “New York style pizza” outside the door, and it is absolutely that - perfect pizza. Big portion for the price, been looking for a place like this for years

Food was delicious, we had the meal for two, so...much...tasty...food! The falafels and hummus especially. Upstairs seating as well. Definitely a nice affordable place to have some Mediterranean goodness ^^ also staff was lovely, customer service is top notch!

Tuesday lunch. I've wanted to come for a long time, but the pandemic turned me into a homeworker and I'm rarely in Nottingham at the right time of day. I'm a little bit blown away by just how good this place is. Based on my selection I'd liken it to a top notch vegetarian kebab shop - who needs meat when the food is this good!? We had two of the mini platters, one Turkish, one Iraqi. WARNING - the 'mini' platters are huge. Most people I saw were opting for a 'sandwich', probably a more realistic aim. My fellow diner could only eat about half, but luckily the supplied bread is ideal to wrap up the rest for later. So many flavours and textures - the food took about 20 minutes to arrive, but that's understandable when everything seems freshly cooked to order. I asked for a pot of chilli sauce, which was not overpowering, but contained flavours I've never tasted before. I wish I'd asked what the magic ingredient was.

Wow, it's hard to come by this type of amazing food in the middle of England. It was way healthier than the usual meaty options and a lot tastier. Service has been poor in my last two visits, hope it can be addressed.

Stopped in today, 3rd October 2023 for a bite to eat, ordering the Turkish Falafel mini platter with falafel, baba ganoush, chilli sauce, garlic sauce, turnip, pickles, red cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber which was exceptional in quality, taste, and appearance. Added bonus is Falafel offers customers V & GF items on their menu! 👍🏽👍🏽 The open dining area on the pavement outside of the restaurant was lovely in the Autumn sunshine today, however my four star rating on Atmosphere actually has nothing to do with the space provided by Falafel's, but because of the number of people (4) who approached my table to beg for money which reflects on the City Council and not Falafel. Despite that, if you enjoy good quality Middle Eastern cuisine and friendly service give it a try.

I loved the food! They have a vast selection of delicious hummus and falafel, I had the Palestinian and Turkish falafel sandwiches, and the baba ganoush, all of which was gorgeous. I kept going back!!!

Eat from here last night. Service was flawless and falafels made to order. Cleanest place I’ve been to since visiting Nottingham and would return it back in the city. Thanks again for my falafel sandwich, everything including the bread was great!

We absolutely love Falafel. The food is great, really fantastic flavors and always well made by the friendly staff. We go every time we are in Nottingham, and it has been one of our favourites for a long time! There are a ton of vegetarian options (which is rare) and the food is always fresh and super tasty.

Great value lunch, lovely middle eastern style cuisine. I had a falafal salad box and drink, £8 all in, very tasty and just the right amount of food for a lunch.

Customer service was good but they served the worst Kunafa I’ve ever had in my entire life. It was burnt and extremely soggy and it lacked sweetness. The Kunafa was literally soaked and drowning in excess oil. Very disappointed; not worth the money. Perhaps other options are worth the money.

When in Nottingham will always use this for a large night cegi kebab, the falafel are excellent and the service great too.

I like this place. It is located at a corner which sees the whole Old Market Square and the fountain. You will enjoy a lovely and peaceful time on sitting there. They do very delicious falafel wraps and plates. Also, you can find tasty pizzas and other stuff. It can be very cold in winter but make sure to select a place under the ceiling heaters. It is a very accessible place as there is a tram station a few meters away. Also, close to this place, there is a bus stop. Less than 50 meters away, there is an NCP car park which is affordable. Make sure to bring extra chips to feed the birds around you. They will join your meal. Then, you can get some ice cream from the nearby ice cream trucks. You will also enjoy some peacefull sitting on the steps surrounding the open area where you see young people skating and cycling. This is one of my most favoured spots in Nottingham.

Falafel was burnt black. I saw the lady serving our food in someone else used dishes after wiping it with dry tissue. I felt so discussed and didn't enjoy my food. Update: today 18/05/23 Turkish falafel was amazing so fresh and tasty. Service was fantastic. Arabic music was on which put me back to home country.

I usually go here after a night out and the staff are usually really friendly and nice. We went last night and the staff were very abrupt and rude. I approached the cashier desk to pay and the lady with the bandana shut the gate thinking I was going to go behind the counter…just rude tbh after I’ve been there so much and always rave to people about how good the food is. Loyalty isn’t championed at this place clearly.

The Palestinian platter was delicious. I loved the pickles in particular. Kunafa was also great, but it was served cold. They should haver warmed it up. The service was a bit too slow, however I can't fault the lady as it seemed to have been a one person show at the till on Friday. I will return to this restaurant in future for takeaway.

5 stars purely for the food! The Iraqi falafel pitta is a substantial vegan lunch at £6.95. Very filling and good value food for what you get. Decor inside isn’t the best, highly recommend for takeout.

Love it! Absolutely delicious and authentic Palestinian falafel. Was so lovely to have a taste from home here in the UK. Highly recommend visiting and so affordable. Will definitely go back tomorrow again before I leave back to London 😂.

Poor service, bad hygiene, cold food and high prices

Not a place I go to anymore. Used to be well priced. One could get a decent sized falafel in pita for a fiver. Also, as of my last visit (September 2022), getting something vegan was a bit hit-and-miss, as the garlic sauce (I was told is not vegan) is added to seemingly every type of wrap. One has to specifically ask the person constructing the wrap not to include garlic sauce, despite it not being on the menu for most of the wraps. Fillings are nice. Plenty of vegetables. Service is pretty slow but they seem to be set-up equipment wise for low customer volume.

Just received an order through Deliveroo. I’m shocked, I just got yelled at,ed, hanged up on me for missi my order. As soon as I submitted the order I called the restaurant and asked for a specific instructions which I always do. The lady took every detail starting from the order number to every single request and assured me that it’s ok as what I asked for is not having pickles in my two sandwiches and only the Aubergine. I received the total opposite, both sandwiches has pickles and no aubergine. When I called she got so offended and start accusing me with something after another. She said I didn’t give her the order number when I proved I did she then said I got what’s in the original order, when I confirmed that I had no other options as in Deliveroo there’s no choose your own option she then hanged up on me. Unbelievable, in top of the lack of experience with costumers there was also lack of respect and manners.

Cold, soft and soggy Falafels in a wrap with few pickled veggies. At such a establishment you would expect Falafels to be freshly fried, to have that a lovely crunch - something very important that makes falafel a falafel and not a cold squishy plop. I think you can get better falafel in a supermarket than there. It had no texture, no crunch, no flavours. I'm not sure who designed the wrap and thought it will be good idea to add some unidentified yellow sauce which I suspect to be some sort of diluted mustard mixed with tahini and water? We went there in a lunch time which wasn't busy at all, just one more customer apart us so can't justify poorly made falafel wraps. Pizza and chips were lovely, pizza slightly burnt at the bottom. I rate their falafel wrap 1 star only because there is no option to make it a ZERO It is not worth the money and unless they assure you to fry fresh falafel don't bother getting those. EDIT: Im not sure how to reply to the owner post so will do it here and hopefully you can see it. We were served today Saturday 3rd December by 2 very lovely ladies, I can't fault their service quality. It's just the falalel had questionable texture. I love falalels and often make our own from scratch at home. The main characteristic of a falafel is that lovely crunchy coating which unfortunately was missing in our dishes today. It was definitely not freshly fried and I say this based on my own cooking experience. Unfortunately we were travelling and stopped at Nottingham on the way home so won't have opportunity to come back and try it again to compare if it was a one off situation. Just popped in with my friend and just walking in the smell was delicious- it made waiting for food hard. We had a sharing plate with bits of a lot of their menu and everything was delicious, I’ve never understood the appeal of falafel but I’ve only ever had dry store bought ones these were entirely different crispy and delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and hope to eat here again.

A great litttle shop situated in the marketplace slap bang in Nottingham City centre, the food was lovely the menu is vegetarian so thats a bonus as i know it hard to find, the atmosphere was nice service was quick and the staff were very polite and helpful definitely worth a try

Friendly staff, Aqueel is a real gentleman, and a cozy place. FALAFEL 😍 a homemade Arabic recipe. FOUL is delicious with fresh extra virgin olive oil. Can not wait till the next time I visit Nottingham, to have such a delicious breakfast.

I have been to restaurants like this all over Europe, and little did I know the top contender is in my home town! The staff were so friendly, I had the Iraqi falafel & fries with a cardamom tea. Every flavour, texture and smell was 10/10. 100% will be sending everyone this way from now on.

A great place to get yum, spicy, flavoursome middle-eastern food!!! also, if you're a person who's into shishas, they have a ton lotta flavours, so do check them out! we got Vanilla and Blueberry Lemon and I was quite pleased with the latter, though the first one was kinda disappointing. Nice place But very pricey for a falafel restaurant. The staff are polite but very slow or maybe because of the location, they need more people to help. The place is clean, and the falafel served hot and a good recipe, but again it is very very pricey.
