Falafel in Nottingham

Good food,good value and you can eat a starter main and desert at the same place ,if you know food you don't need to move after serving ,but to walk it all off

It was ok but not great. Falafel should be crispy and a bit dry, however they were a bit soggy.

We ordered falafel to be delivered to our house , food came in special thermal control paper bags . Bread is baked and freshly made . 2 sandwiches with hummus base, pickled ,tomatoes & pickled turnip 3 sandwiches with tummy’s base , tahini & tomatoes Falafel , chili potatoes ( batata harra) All sandwiches tastes great , filled generously The batata / potatoes are very chilly & spicy , I fully understand its name means chili but this was too spicy we had to throw it in the bin !

This place used to be good but after tonight's experience i will not be going back. Had a chicken wrap. Had the driest chicken ive ever had. Couldn't even chew it had to spit out three bites as it wasn't edible before throwing the whole wrap away. My dog would have needed a drink after just watching me try and swallow that sandy weetbix of a wrap. Used to have toilets but not anymore.

Great service, really attentive to my egg allergy. I had a vegan dish and it was all cooked totally separately. Superb and tasty food. Lonely friendly staff too.

Absolutely phenomenal, fresh food made by hand right in front of your eyes , fresh ingredients, handmade sauces leave your mouth watering and the chicken is out of this world highly recommended

Lovely spot to sit down and relax close to Nottingham City centre, lots of variety on what to have between hot food and sweet treats, the girl behind the counter was extremely friendly as well as the gentleman that prepared the shisha for us! Would definitely visit again.

A really good restaurant for a quick halal lunch. We ordered the Palestinian falafel platter, the Syrian shawarma, a zaatar bread, and a Kunafa. The Palestinian falafel was really good and the kunafa was good also nice. But the shawarma could be better. Nice simple ambience to dine.

Authentic and great tasting food.

Best falafels ever. I swear to god I don’t ever eat falafels from any other place because I love this place so much, I did only eat a falafel wrap from anougher place one time (but it was when this place weren’t open for a while) and I do regret it. My Allah bless everyone that works here.

The food here is amazing, always tasty. Have tried the Iraqi, Palestinian and now Turkish falafel sandwiches and I'd find it hard to decide which my favourite is. The fries are also really good, portions are a really good size and definitely value for money.

Highly recommend this place as a vegetarian! Had the Turkish falafel sandwich and it was AMAZING!!! Was a little messy with the sauce but a couple napkins and your good as gold. It tasted amazing and wasn’t overpriced! Would absolutely go again although I’d likely get the same thing again rather then try anything else cause I loved it so much

I’ve eaten in and ordered from this restaurant many times, it’s a real gem. The falafel sandwiches are amazing. I even received extra portions in my last order! Delicious food at a very fair price. Nice and friendly staff.

Este lugar abrió tarde en la víspera de año nuevo y fuimos allí por algo de comida. La comida en sí estaba bien, las patatas fritas estaban mal, la envoltura estaba bien, pero el precio por lo que es. Cuando pedí un poco de agua del grifo dijeron que no lo hacen y tuvieron que pagar £ 1. 90 por una botella de agua... y cuando necesitaba el baño decían que los baños estaban cerrados así que no no. Compré una taza de karak chai también, que inicialmente dijeron que se habían agotado, pero luego momentos después dijeron que lo tenían, lo bebieron y luego unas horas más tarde vomitaron.

La comida es simplemente increíble. Tiene una buena selección vegana y a un precio muy razonable. Es principalmente un establecimiento de comida para llevar / entrega, así que no hay muchas sillas, así que nos sentamos fuera. Está en la plaza tan bueno para la gente mirando durante un almuerzo.

Best food for the cheapest price point anywhere in nottingham. The falafel is the best Iv ever tasted, all ingredients taste really fresh and flavorful. Great option if your veggie or vegan and I think all the falafels are vegan. Chips are great so is the halloumi fries and salads, my usual order and fav is the Palestinian falafel with extra pickles. Falafel in pitta is 7 quid which is very reasonable for the quality of the food.

The food is delicious. There's quite the wait at times although I do believe it's worth it!

Visited Falafel Cafe with my wife and had an amazing experience! We ordered shisha and mint tea, which were both excellent. Nick, one of the staff, was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing evening

Sıshas are very nice in evert time ; the best sısha is Notts. Stuffs are very friendly, especially Nick. We had appreciated to everythıng.

Rubbish! Overpriced. Chewy small dry Shawarma labelled as large for £12! Not worth £5 that. Staff unfriendly. Gregg's pizza is better.

This place has gone down hill hard! Dunno whether the lass that used to work here lost her job in the refurb but she used to run a tight ship and now it’s just a bit grotty. Dirty behind the counter, feels like it’s staffed by teenagers or something who can’t tidy up. I used to be proud to bring visitors here but will probably give a miss now. Shame, get back on track Falafel!

I didn’t know her name but she provided us with excellence service and had a great smile the whole way through. Made me feel extremely welcome. Great customer service and the portion were big !

I didn’t know something vegetarian could taste this divine… succulent peppers, amazing crunchy fried falafel all neatly nested in a toasty pitta smothered in hummus. I haven’t tried falafel this good anywhere else .

Visitamos Nottingham en nuestro bote estrecho y mientras paseábamos por la ciudad nos encontramos con este café. Decidimos pasar por un lugar para almorzar después de ver los menús en la mesa exterior. Pides en el mostrador y la comida se prepara frente a ti mientras esperas. Elegimos la comida mezzo para dos que consiste en falafel, warek enab, sambousak, mini fatoush, foul, hummus, baba ghanouj, aceitunas, pimientos, encurtidos y pan. La comida era deliciosa y ambos acordamos que el falafel era el mejor que hemos durado en nuestra vida. Mientras comía se puso muy ocupado con la gente haciendo cola para comer y pudimos ver lo popular que es este establecimiento y podemos ver por qué! Sin duda recomendaríamos visitar para comer algo y la próxima vez que estemos en Nottingham sin duda le haremos una visita a Falafel.

Falafel was always good, but since they re-opened after renovations they've really stepped up their game and the food is just sublime! The bread they bake for the falafel sandwiches is so super fluffy and tasty.

We had falafel sandwich which was just fine. Something in the salad had either gone bad or it was a vegetable i do not know about. Hummus was just fine, i had better ones where you actually taste the authentic taste in it. The bread they serve it which was good. Cheese fries were alright, i think they should introduce cheesey sauce that would be amazing. Fries were very nice on their own.

My worst shawarma experience in Nottingham he toasted the bread for too long, making it hard and difficult to eat and it's overpriced than normal shawarma shop

Vino a por una rebanada de pizza después de ver un concierto. Tenía el pollo especial y mi amigo tenía queso y tomate. Ambos estaban secos, rancios e insípidos. Parecían y sabían como si los hubieran dejado en el mostrador todo el día, de donde los habían sacado antes de calentarlos en el microondas. No volveré aquí.

Tried this place while visiting Nottingham this weekend. Had the Syrian Kebab and it was outstanding. The staff were very lovely as well. Also, they have a soda called "Palestine Cola," and if you like Coca Cola, PC way better in my opinion. 10/10

Gran ubicación en la plaza en Nottingham, absolutamente genial si el tiempo es seco. Had a nice chat with the owners brother. Also the staff was friendly. But that's the only reason for two stars. Unfortunately something wasn't good with me after eating the falafel plate. I'm really hygienic and when it comes to food I'm a resilient person, it doesn't happen often, that I have issues with digestion. But just 30 min after eating this I felt horrible. I don't want to share any details but trust me this is not ok.

Love love love falafel but ordered today for delivery and the vegetables and sauce were all random mixed and not the stuff we asked for. Still tastes great but just ended up not getting the choices we are offered to choose online which is a shame.

Nice little joint with great falafel, as expected. I recommend the Iraqi sandwich in particular. Friendly staff too. For the courageous, try the ‘Tel Aviv sandwich’ off the secret menu. God bless.

Me and my auntie went to this restaurant. Later in the day we both got a really bad food poisoning. We tried to call the restaurant but they wouldn’t pick up. Wouldn’t recommend.

Poor pricing vs other places been, slightly better than shop quality but still not great and as a Jewish person couldn't of been made to feel less safe.

This place is incredible! It was a little oasis of calm and delicious food on a busy Saturday night in town. I don't even like falafel but these were delicious - got the Iraqi falafel sandwich, it was a taste sensation! They do meat kebab too and the lady was great at helping me (and others) coming in with no idea what to order.

AMAZING falafel. As a huge fan of middle eastern food, this is truly the tastiest falafel I have had. The salad was fresh and the bread was made while I waited. I had to wait around 10 mins but they were pretty busy and understandably why. Well worth the wait. I found it to be clean and the staff were really friendly. Very chilled and just what this city needs. The amount of food you get is more than enough, I couldn't finish the sandwich. The deserts look delicious so ill try them next visit! In conclusion, it was worth the visit and the food is LUSH!

*UPDATE - they've had a refurb and it looks amazing! LOVE IT! Never had proper falafels in England, just the dry shop ones - if you've never had a fresh one you need to go try it. Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside 🤤. I've had them by themselves and in a sandwich, both were so good. Staff have seemed really nice and friendly ☺️

I honestly wanted to like this place. I love Falafel and was really eager to try as I heard it was authentic. The veggies were great but unfortunately the Falafels were really bad 😞 I gave 3 stars because I would be willing to go back and try a different falafel.

Great location next to Old Market Square, plenty of outdoor seating. Absolutely brilliant amount of choice, freshly made food. Really enjoyed it and will be returning.

Falafel is one of my favourite places to go in Nottingham for a quick, fair priced and high quality dinner. Jess is amazing, she always welcomes me with a lot of love and great vibes. She’s bubbly and friendly which I’m sure contributes to the love put into the food. I always leave happy.

Amazing place, saw it from a distance and had no idea that it would be this good. Had the meal for two and four about £20 we were stuffed with the best Mediterranean food that I've had for a long time.

Amazing food and I wanted to try everything, friendly staff, very very busy, bustling atmosphere lots of takeaways etc. Clearly lots of regular customers who knew staff too. Seems like a well loved place. Happy to eat there again, felt like I was able to get a wholesome, vegetable/wholefood based meal in the middle of a city and that's rare when you feel surrounded by junky fast food

If you’re going for kunafa!! Don't go lol its just not kunafa they just give you a vermicelli baklawa and then if you just say its not what you wanted the staff gets mad at you 🧐 as a Middle Eastern i know what is kunafa and what not so getting mad on asking what it is instead is not really good😒

Really delicious falafel, made really well. Pretty quick and well worth it. There’s some space to sit, but it’s not a massively sit-in space.

Hands down the best falafel place in Nottingham! The food is always fresh and flavours are authentic. It's a small little shop with limited indoor area, the outdoors seating can be nice option on dry days.

Very good and long-established Fallafel house (the first in Nottingham) with a variety of fresh Fallafel specialties. A must try if you are in Nottingham
