Dino's in Nottingham

This place has quickly become one of my favourite restaurants in the city. The interior is absolutely lovely, they had balloons up for valentine’s day which made it extra cute. The food was amazing and the portions are very good for what you’re paying. We ordered today’s special dessert which was profiteroles at the end and it ended up being delicious as well. I particularly liked the love mints they gave at the end, it was a cute touch. Will definitely come here again for date nights!

Delicious food and lovely date night atmosphere. Ordered the lasagna with twice cooked chips. Generous portion and the chips were some of the best I’ve had!

I had heard so many great things so we were keen to try; the atmosphere is lovely and great service. I ordered chicken fajitas which in retrospect I wish I hadn’t; I think they may have used a packet mix, it came out as a plate of chicken and peppers in a wet sauce which was really salty (I’d asked for ‘hot’ so suspect they added more of the powder), 3 tortillas and a saucer with a teaspoon each of sour cream, salsa and ‘guacamole’ that was just a runny sauce rather than chunky guacamole plus a small bit of grated cheese. It wasn’t really pleasant to be honest. I wish I’d chosen a pasta dish.

Hemos visitado Dino en algunas ocasiones ahora y siempre nos pareció que era una buena relación calidad-precio y deliciosa comida. Los tamaños de las porciones también son grandes. Los cócteles son un buen precio. No tan elegante como los lugares de sone. Es una pena que sea un lugar pequeño, ya que a veces otras personas están situadas demasiado cerca y el ruido viaja. Sin embargo, esto no me disuadiría de regresar ☺️

I love the decorations and ambience of Dino's. The menu is very comprehensive, with good sized portions at reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful staff. I recommended booking as this popular place can get very busy.

Real little hidden gem. Delicious food in big portions. Lovely atmosphere - the restaurant goes surprisingly far back off the street and has really cool decorations and ambience. Staff were friendly and it’s great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Me encantó aquí, el ambiente era tan encantador, el servicio era increíble y tan rápido, los precios de la red eran un poco más caros, pero la comida era muy buena y las porciones eran excelentes, así que no nos importó pagar unas libras más! Sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que cuando pides un plato con carne te dan mucho y no te cortan en cambiarte en ese frente. Solo (muy pequeña) contra era que no había tiramisú en el menú de postres, que es una pena para un restaurante italiano, pero todavía disfrutamos mucho de nuestra cena aquí, sin embargo. Definitivamente volveré.

Nunca suelo escribir reseñas, pero me siento tan indignado por nuestra experiencia reciente que siento que tengo que hacerlo. Visitamos Dino’s el 19 de diciembre a las 5 de la tarde, un grupo de cinco damas en nuestra reunión de los sesenta y setenta para nuestra comida de Navidad. Habíamos estado en Dino’s numerosas veces en el pasado y siempre tuvimos una comida encantadora y una gran experiencia, así que es por eso que lo elegimos para Navidad. No estaba muy ocupado cuando llegamos, solo un grupo más en otra mesa, así que todo se veía bien. También había un menú especial de Navidad, como los habituales especiales a la carta más especiales en la pizarra. Nos informaron que todos teníamos que elegir entre el menú de Navidad o el otro menú, no podíamos tener diferentes pedidos, lo que era extraño. Así que elegimos de la Navidad. El servicio fue muy lento y después de una hora solo habíamos tenido nuestros entrantes, la red llegó eventualmente y para ser justos la comida estaba deliciosa. Tres de nuestro grupo querían un postre, así que pedimos pedirlos después de estar allí 2 horas solo para que nos dijeran que no podíamos tenerlos incluidos en el precio establecido, ya que no los habíamos pedido al principio... .. eso no se dijo cuando pedimos por primera vez, y cómo sabes si quieres un postre hasta que hayas comido dos platos de todos modos, ¡puede que estés demasiado lleno! La camarera volvió después de unos minutos y nos dijo que “la dirección haría una excepción esta vez y cumpliría con el precio establecido”, pero el tiempo pasaba y para ser honestos nos habíamos ido de la idea para entonces. Así que pedimos cafés en su lugar. Ahora estos tardaron tanto en llegar que dos señoras tuvieron que irse para coger sus autobuses por lo que también tuvimos que cancelarlos al final y pedir la factura. Tuvimos una pequeña consulta sobre la factura y esto fue rectificado y todos pagamos nuestra quinta parte de la factura, dos pagando con tarjeta y tres con efectivo. Nos estábamos poniendo los abrigos cuando el gerente volvió a nuestra mesa y lanzó dos billetes de diez libras en ella y dijo “no podemos tomar estos billetes, son demasiado viejos y expiraron en 2018 , todavía nos debes veinte libras” ¡Ahora estábamos estupefactos! El efectivo había salido de cajeros automáticos ese día... ¿cómo podríamos tener billetes viejos vencidos? Tratamos de explicar esto, pero el gerente insistió en que vinieron de nuestra mesa y porque iban a perder su autobús, mi amigo dio otras veinte libras y le dieron los billetes viejos para llevar a casa. ¡Decir que estábamos enojados por esto es una eufemismo! Sabemos que estas no eran nuestras notas, pero ¿cómo podríamos probarlo? Mi amiga que hizo la reserva sonó y habló con el gerente después de Navidad para hablar a través de la experiencia, ella se disculpó por la lentitud del servicio, pero insistió en que dimos notas viejas y que algunos de nuestra fiesta fueron groseros. Está claro que no conseguiremos ningún cierre satisfactorio en esto pero no volveremos a visitar este restaurante , sacaremos nuestra moneda de curso perfectamente legal de los cajeros automáticos de otros lugares. Para colmo, ¡aún no hemos encontrado un banco para aceptar e intercambiar los billetes antiguos! Hemos probado tres hasta ahora... ¡seguiremos intentándolo!

Visité aquí para nuestra comida de Navidad de trabajo. No estaba seguro de qué esperar, pero las opciones de comida que elegí eran agradables. cocinado bien y el tamaño de la porción estaba bien. Lo único que me decepcionó fue la limitada selección de bebidas alcohólicas, pero eso se debe a la preferencia personal. No podía culpar al personal, todo amable. Hubo una espera entre cursos que se debió al hecho de que estaban muy ocupados sin nuestro grupo. Dudo que hubiera visitado aquí si no hubiera sido por una función, y dudo que volviera a visitar.

The ambiance was inviting, the staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable and the food was simply delicious. The menu offered a wide variety of options, ensuring that even the pickiest eaters were satisfied. The portions were generous, and the dishes were served hot and flavourful. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that delivers on all fronts. We're eager to return and explore more of your menu.

Reservé este lugar para mis amigos 50. Éramos 7 y sabía que todos y cada uno de ellos no estarían decepcionados. Tenía razón al 100%. Pudimos tomar algunas bebidas antes de la comida para comenzar en la zona del bar muy sexy. Luego nos mostraron a nuestra mesa en la sección principal del restaurante. Nuestra noche fue de primera. Comida, bebidas, vino y servicio fue excepcional. Bien hecho a Mark, Cal, Hannah, Cheyenne, Will, Poppy y todo el equipo de cocina. La noche perfecta para una comida en Notts 👊🏽

This place is a hidden gem that not many people seem to know about. Cosy and relaxed candlelit bar, excellent service and great food for a fair price. Heartily recommended.

Me encanta Dinos, he estado un montón de veces. Hoy mi entrante fue decepcionante. No hay suficiente pescado ahumado. Piezas muy pequeñas en trozos pequeños de pan y un montón de ensalada. Qué pena. Pero la lasaña era tan hermosa como siempre y pegajoso pudín de toffee para morirse. Volveré x

Un lugar de vino discreto por una calle tranquila en Nottingham, vino para el concierto de Bob Dylan y lo vio en mi camino cuando el lugar original al que iba estaba lleno, pero tan feliz de que sucedió de esta manera. Servicio increíble, se sintió muy bienvenido y cómodo como alguien que iba solo. Ambiente encantador (estaba sentado en la zona de la barra delantera) los espejos hicieron que el lugar se sintiera muy espacioso y me encantaron las plantas de alrededor. El agua se llevó directamente a la mesa (que siento que siempre es una buena señal de buenos bares / restaurante) y disfruté mucho de mi tiempo aquí. Lugar fresco, personal increíble, comida y bebida de calidad.

Where to begin with this one. The pros: Nice environment, cute decor, warm atmosphere. Now on to the negatives: We had a table for 2, on a Saturday evening. Shown to the table fairly quickly. Given menu's, then asked if we wanted drinks. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Then, 3 different waitresses came up and asked us for more drinks orders, and food orders, before we'd even got our drinks. Finally I asked one of them to chase up the wine. The original waitress came back and apologised that they didn't have any Chenin blanc; which i replied was fine - because that's not what we ordered. Finally the drinks came and we ordered food. Antipasti sharer and 1 pasta and 1 chicken dish. When the antipasti arrived, imagine my surprise that it included well known italian cheeses such as Red Leicester, Cheddar and Wendsleydale. I am sure it's a coincidence that the meat and cheese on the plate were the same as the selection packs you can buy in Aldi (and I'm sure the restaurant went to great lengths to make the crackers match Aldi's too). Not the end of the world. But then the main course. Now i will preface this by stating i checked with the waitress well before ordering whether the dish i ordered could be done without mushrooms. I even said that i imagine it can't be, but she reassured me that the chef could do so. Excellent! I thought. When the dish arrived, it was absolutely covered in mushrooms. I raised this with the waitress who looked confused but took it back. My partner had also received his food, so i told him to eat. By the time my dish arrived back, my partner had finished, and what i was presented with, i can only describe as pasta-shaped rubber, that had been microwaved until an inch of its life. Safe to say, the kitchen had obviously emptied the meal, picked out all the mushrooms (lost the sauce in the process), realised it was stone cold and microwaved it under an atomic bomb. It was completely inedible. Unfortunately as my partner had finished eating, i didn't want to have the awkward wait for it to be recooked, so we paid and left. Suffice to say I left hungry.

We had such a lovely evening, booked our table for dinner in advance. We shared an antipasti starter between 5 of us which was great... bread, meats, cheese and dips. The choice of mains was really good, hard to decide which to have as they all sounded so nice. I really enjoyed the prawn and haddock pasta in white wine sauce, absolutely delicious! The service was fab, very attentive, priced well and lovely atmosphere 😀 will definitely be going back... this was my 4th visit. Highly recommend.

What a great little place. We had an early booking so not too many people in. It has a real boutique vibe, small and intimate, great for a date night. Food is amazing. We will definitely be coming back here again!

Dino's is a wonderful restruant and now one of favourite spots for lunch in Nottingham. There fresh pasta dishes are fantastic, and the lunch menu is excilently thought out and priced. Portion sizes are large and filling and the food tastes amazing. Edit; after eating a 3 course meal this place is amazing

Visitó dinos para el almuerzo del sábado. Fue mi primera vez en este restaurante y todo lo que puedo decir es que una experiencia increíble de principio a fin. El personal donde genial muy profesional y educado. La comida era de primera clase y de gran valor para Nottingham y la zona en la que estábamos. Recomendaría encarecidamente este lugar increíble y sin duda no será el último. Gracias y espero mi próxima visita a Dino's

We went Dinos for our anniversary meal. The waiting staff were lovely, very warm inviting and interested in you as a person but not where it’s too personal. The food was delicious and generously portioned. We were too full for a pudding unfortunately but we will go back again for sure.

Me gusta mucho este lugar. Muy relajado. Un menú pequeño pero la comida era deliciosa. Mi amigo tomó el ragu y dijo que era bueno. Mi lasaña era magnífica. Me enorgullezco de ser uno de mis platos característicos, pero el suyo elimina los míos. Las fichas eran excelentes. El servicio del personal predominantemente joven estaba bien. Mi único truco es que el pan de ajo que pedimos para venir con el principal llegó temprano. El servidor le preguntó si estaba bien, y mi tímido compañero asintió con la cabeza. Les habría pedido que lo mantuvieran caliente y lo trajeran de vuelta. Pero no importa. Un lugar impresionante. Por favor, úsalo ya que no queremos perder otro lugar de nuestra escena de Nottingham.

Regarding the previous review re. cocktails, I so disagree. The cocktails are excellent and great value for a city centre venue . My partner used to make cocktails for private functions and knows a good cocktail and she says the Espresso Martini is one of the best. Great food, great drink and brilliant friendly service plus value for money. We love it as does all my family.

A lovely little Italian restaurant. Pleasant surroundings. I enjoyed the mushroom rissotto. A friend had the breaded chicken which looked amazing.

Dino's is a quite small restaurant but perfectly formed. I was there for lunch with friends. The staff were lovely and not in the least pushy. We only had mains and coffee but we sat talking for ages before we got the bill and settled up. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. We will definitely be back.

Myself and my girlfriend went to Dino's for your one year anniversary. It was the perfect place. The food was incredible, and I mean probably the best in Nottingham, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was brilliant. Make sure you book and make sure you try this gem at at the heart of Nottingham!

It's a very cosy, chill place, but the only downside was the food portions. The steak came with six twice-cooked chips and a tiny bit of salad on the side. For £20, it was very disappointing and not filling.

Great service, lovely food and in the window in terms of what you would expect to pay for an Italian eating experience. We weren't rushed, which was great, considering the portions served. We couldn't have gone for a dessert!

The meal was beautiful and the place was very clean. The staff were attentive but not obtrusive. The only reason not to give five stars was the inane music. Pleasant background music is fine, but this was obscure and to loud.

Nice setting and ambience but sadly the cocktails were left wanting - never had a magherita topped up with soda water! Go elsewhere for good quality cocktails

Friendly place made to feel very welcome when called in on the off chance. Great choice of freshly made dishes. Everyone around seemed to be having a lovely time as well as us. The food is worth coming for but the service was also top notch. Will definitely return

Our first time at this lovely little restaurant..and it definitely won’t be the last! Really cosy & welcoming on a horrible cold wet night..staff were friendly, smiley & attentive & the food was gorgeous! Would particularly recommend the pollo Toscana..the white wine & cream sauce combined so well with the sundried tomatoes & spinach.. Affogato (him) &cocktail(me!) finished the meal off beautifully.. We thought the prices were very reasonable too.. All in all a fantastic dining experience!😋😋

Never been before but always wanted too, staff were very nice and friendly, had bruschetta and prawns for starters which were lovely but mains not so great- bang average double cooked chips were soggy and hard potato in middle, lasagne and ragu pasta both ok- but pasta over cooked in both and definitely need to add in more seasoning, atmosphere is nice and nice venue but food is average!

Used to be our go place after work.. Great service and cocktails but the staff are now terrible.. So rude and looked as though they would rather be somewhere else.. So don't bother

Such a nice place, friends took us there for lunch. Looks small but is bigger than you think from outside. Food was really good, had lasagne very tasty and with the best and biggest chips I have seen. I would book if you want to give it a try especially at the wkend, we went Saturday 2pm and was very busy.

Lovely little restaurant nestled at the top of the Lace Market, had lunch with daughter. We had the Lasagne with twice cooked fries & side salad, the food was piping hot & delicious. Definitely would recommend the lovely little restaurant.

Great lunch. Food was tasty and plentiful. Staff very friendly and attentive. Only criticism was that the restaurant was a bit cold, but we didn’t say anything and if we had of done I’m sure they would have sorted it for us. Anyway the food warmed us up.

We visited Dinos on 31st January as a party of 16, and the service was excellent. The whole party was served very quickly and efficiently. The food was to a high standard with quality produce. The price was more reasonable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were also extremely professional. The place has a wonderful atmosphere, especially for a rainy cold January evening. We will certainly visit again next time we are in Nottingham.

Went in on the off chance of getting a table for four. Even though it was really busy the staff sorted a table for us very quickly. Service was fast and the food was great. All of us really enjoyed it. We'll all definitely be returning in the future

A gorgeous little restaurant where we had a lovely meal. Would recommend booking as they leave some tables open for walk-ins (which we were very lucky to get) but it gets very busy. Had a really nice mushroom risotto but would definitely recommend the beef ragu if that's something you'd fancy as I tried a bit of my mum's and I ended up a bit jealous 😂. Soft drinks very reasonably priced as well! Beautifully decorated interior and lovely atmosphere, would happily return (but with a booking this time!)

Have eaten and enjoy it here before, but booked on a Friday evening for 5:30, arrived with one other couple eating and we were put on the ‘after thought’ table, it’s been put there to squeeze in an extra cover, a fake plant is almost in one person face! Ordered the fajitas and had zero chance of it fitting on the table, restaurant was still 70% empty so I asked why we’d been put on this table when plenty of others were available, she advised it was due to other bookings, but we’d just seen one couple walk in, no booking and seated on a table for 4! No offer to move us but the waitress offered to take some items off the table we said yes and then she left without doing it! Shame as food was actually nice

The front of house staff at Dinos deserve a special mention, their customer service in our experience is second to none. Being frequent visitors, we always receive a friendly service and welcome. It's good to see the Chips are back to their best and are untouchable 👌 We have now introduced a dozen or more family and friends to dine at Dinos and none have been disappointed with the food or service. Keep up the excellent levels of service and the Kitchen Team the high standards in producing quality food including the specials. Look forward to visiting many times in 2024 👍

This was our first time at dinos we have walked by it a few times and I've always wanted to go and see what it was like. As we were coming into Nottingham on Saturday to meet a couple of friends I booked a table. It didn't disappoint. From the service to the food was 1st class. Carnt wait to come again.

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service from all especially Izzy. She was excellent and very knowledgeable. She was friendly and answered all questions with a smile. We were there for hours for a birthday celebration and enjoyed ourselves immensely.

A very regular visitor to Dinos, and the magnet being the fantastic Fat Chips, however, on Saturday 7th October the Chips have taken a turn for the worst. Instead of the standard Golden Brown soft long fat chips, they've become what appears to be cheaper fried chips and nothing resembling the original chips. Hopefully, the above will get back to normal ASAP to avoid further disappointment.

6 of us visited for lunch and all had something different, everything was delicious and a struggle to fault. Staff were attentive and helpful Lovely atmosphere, decorated nicely. Will 100 percent be returning

Loved my experience at dino's tonight, can't fault the service. I shall be returning again at some point in the future.

We had a wonderful meal at Dino, the restaurant is small but bustling, quirky but cosy decor. The staff were attentive and served us quickly. The food was fabulous, the specials board made the menu more extensive and both of the meals we ordered were delicious. I had a chicken, bacon and mushroom baked pasta dish - it was stuffed with meat and the creamy sauce was divine. I couldn’t manage it all - and I’m good at eating. Just over £50 for two mains and a really nice bottle of wine - fantastic value. We will definitely be back.

Impromptu visit this afternoon for food and wine. Fabulous food, great service, very reasonable prices.

Without doubt the worst restaurant food I've experienced in Nottingham for years!! I was genuinely astounded at the embarrassing lack of culternary knowledge, skills, and awareness present on the plate; sloppy lasagne, a watery chicken and bacon pasta dish, both accompanied by a bland, undressed side salad. The prawn starter had the same along with toasted baguette slices! (Does the kitchen know what 'fresh' bread is?) Its very clear that the chef doesn't understand the Italian dishes we ordered and how to cook them. AND they tried to charge us for dishes we didn't eat! That is poor service! The place is cute and this must be the attraction because If you know about food, and/or can cook there's no way you'd eat here!

Our first visit in years. It was early on a Thursday night and it wasn't busy. My wife had the smoke salmon starter which she loved. For the mains we both had a different pasta dish from the specials board, with a portion of the twice cooked chips. All very tasty and too much for me. I couldn't finish it. No complaints great service and food.

Excellent food and importantly piping hot , we all had different lasagne seafood linguine , sizzling fajitas , chicken&bacon pasta with most lovely white wine cream sauce , chips delicious . I brought friends who had not been before and they loved it . We will be back …. soon

A regular customer but just want to say what fabulous food we had today. No Fish on the menu but Hussef the chef said he could do salmon. It was beautiful and in a fabulous sauce. Dined at Dino tonight for the first time and was really impressed! The decor was gorgeous and the service was so warm, welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious (I had the mushroom and leek risotto and double cooked chips that were actually from heaven!). Will definitely return!

Such a gorgeous restaurant with delicious fresh and authentic italian food, cosy and classy decor and really friendly staff (Ellie was a top waitress). Reasonable prices and great drinks too. Could become a new fave.
