Highly recommend. Visited with friends yesterday and every tapas dish we ordered was delicious. The restaurant was busy but with a great atmosphere and the service was great. If you are gluten free this is a great place to visit as the menu is really clearly marked and the staff are really understanding and well trained. Our waiter was absolutely excellent, checking the ingredients on the specials for me and making sure I knew which dishes contained gluten as they were delivered to the table for our group. Great wine list, and the espresso martini was perfect! Overall a great place to visit - I will be back again soon!

You look at this review and you might think to yourself, this is an exaggeration. No place can be that good. It is. I've only ever been here a handful of times in my life and all those times I had the best experience of my life in terms of food quality, service and memories I've made (mind you I'd always before it'd get busy- 2-6PM). Firstly, the owner was always there, sometimes telling us about the history of ViDa, sometimes about the history behind the dishes, sometimes just correcting our Spanish pronunciation. All of which were just such an incredible and unforgettable experience. Secondly, the food. I am no food critic, but even if I was I think I'd be rendered speechless. Arroz Negro; just ask anyone about the history of it or just order it. I'm a vegan but I'll make an exception for the Chorizo a la Miel. It is magical. Even the simple (but yet not so trivial) Patatas Bravas are incredible. Anything you go for will be worth the price and your time spent there, I guarantee it. To the owner: Thank you. You're doing an amazing job. Don't you ever forget that people appreciate it a lot.

Today I went to this Spanish restaurant for the first time. I usually go to Spain on holiday and I don't like eating in other Spanish countries because it's different but instead this restaurant wowed me. The location is very welcoming. The waitress Sophia was very nice, prepared, polite and was able to advise us. The food was excellent. I will definitely return. Vincent

What a fabulous place!! We are a group of people learning Spanish and this was our first visit here. Staff were very friendly and helpful and were happy for us to practice our Spanish with them! Food was delicious and plenty of choice for all all of our group. Our only small criticism was that we weren’t told at the time of booking that we only had the table for two hours. We were a group of ten and we had all travelled quite a long way plus three couples chose paella which took longer to arrive. However, this hasn’t put us off coming back and we all enjoyed the evening

Visited for the second time over the weekend for a birthday meal and it did not disappoint! We started with bread and olives whilst deciding which dishes that we would like, both or which were delightful. We opted for the set menu and from that selection the standouts for me were; the Chorizo a la Miel & Pollo con Chorizo a la crema but all of the dishes were faultless. A special shoutout for our main server, Lena, who was very attentive and insightful and generally added to our experience. I will certainly be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My wife and i booked a table here for our wedding anniversary. From walking in the door to walking out of it ,everything was perfect. Excellent genuine service, friendly lovely team, and the food !!! wow just wow !! every aspect of out visit was perfection, i,m now looking for an excuse to go back again .

Absolutely wonderful tapas restaurant! The food was so good that we were a little sad that we were full. The short waiting time for the food made it easy to order "just one more". So many flavors I've never known together! Very nice staff! The sound level in the small venue was unfortunately very high, hence minus stars in Atmosfär.

We went here for a date night it was lovely from start to finish.The food was excellent we had 5 tapas and we enjoyed them all.The table service was excellent being served by lovely staff.We will be back to try some different tapas.Thank You.

Love this place ! Greeted by Vilente - the Boss , made to feel very welcome by everyone- Leena, Paula and Alex . They were all so friendly , attentive, helpful and all round beautiful people ! The food is amazing, delicious, tasty and very authentic. Good bottle of red wine too . Looking forward to another visit very soon !

First time eating at Vida by Lorentes but unlikley to my last. Tables nicely spread out and spacious, fantastic choice of food. We had 7 tapas dishes to share & all were delicious. And lastly the service from Leena & the other staff was exemplary. Very polite & genuine. You can tell they enjoy what they do. Recommended!

Fantastic restaurant, great food, atmosphere, reasonably priced and wonderful staff. We dined here for a post-graduation celebration and ordered tapas for 6 people. The range of food was great. We also had 2 members of our party with allergies, and the staff helped us a lot with that, and made sure no nuts/sesame came to the table, so we felt very safe. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options, very clearly labelled on the menu. Great cocktails, and we were gifted a round of shots at the end by the restaurant, which was lovely! We will definitely be returning!

Wifey treated me to my birthday here and i absolutely loved it. Food was delicious.

I took my family here to celebrate my daughter’s graduation and it was the best decision I’ve made on this trip. Very nice food ,very friendly staff. Would recommend you visit this place when you are in Nottingham .

Really nice Spanish food! You can almost feel at home when trying the food!

I visited Nottingham with my young daughter to see a concert, and we stopped by this restaurant for a quick bite before the show. I was a bit concerned about the timing, but the waitress Veronika assured us that we would be fine. We returned with my son about 40 minutes later and were greeted warmly. The experience was fantastic. With little time to study the wine list, I asked for a recommendation, and both waitresses suggested an excellent choice. We quickly ordered a few tapas dishes, and each one was delicious. The sauces were outstanding, and even the oil served with the bread was exceptional. The quality of the food and the attention to detail from the staff were well worth the price. Our waitress Veronika was lovely and very knowledgeable about the dishes and provided delightful and friendly service without being too intrusive. I hadn't expected a quick meal to turn into such an enjoyable experience for my little family, but we were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back soon.

I'd been meaning to try this place for a long time due to the good reviews, unfortunately the food was mostly very disappointing. Have had far better tapas in Nottingham. The aubergine fries were the standout, great flavour and texture. But the prawns and mushrooms were swimming in water, tasteless and overcooked. The four small prawns would barely be worth the price even if they were good. Other dishes were okay, but rarely worth the price. The sangria was weak and tasted mostly of bad wine.

We turned up without booking & luckily for us they squeezed us in. Very friendly and welcoming staff, sorted out better chairs for us as we were sat at the barrel. The food was amazing, having eaten at all the nearby City Spanish tapas restaurants, I’d say this is equal or probably better. The Berenjena Frita was delicious, we over ordered on Padron peppers. Zarzuela de Marisco was delicious as was the Chorizo a la Miel. Good value as well as the bottle of wine. Highly recommend.

We have dined here b4 and loved it. But wanted a pre show meal on an early Saturday evening. Just as good with great service by Leena. We have a place in Spain and can't find a better tapas restaurant.

Highly recommend this place to couples especially, it’s conveniently located on the outskirts of town as an almost “secret” tapas bar. The food was incredible, the service was amazing from when we got there to when we left. A waitress called Veronica especially was very friendly and helpful highlighting foods she thought we would like and was very knowledgeable about the food / restaurant itself. They market the business as authentic tapas and we can confidently say everything from the building, service, atmosphere was definitely that. We will definitely return and highly recommend!

I have to say as a Spaniard the flavors are super successful and the prices are very good considering what you find in England. The staff always helps you with everything and we had a very good experience thanks to the staff. I will repeat whenever I return to Nottingham.

Instantly one of favourite places to eat! Food was incredible, amazing service and ambiance and the cocktails are genuinely some of the best in Nottingham. I’ll be going back again and again!

I learned online that the best Spanish food in Nottingham is here! After spending Mothers Day here with family (6 of us) I can totally agree. The food is authentic and very delicious! The restaurant environment may seem a bit average but the food OUTSHINES all! (I’ve eaten Spanish food in London, Barcelona and other places so I’ve tried a range!) The food here is fab!!!

Came for dinner mid week. The staff were really friendly and our waitress was very helpful and chatted away to us. Food came out quickly and was really tasty - every dish was lovely. We eat tapas regularly but thought this was really good quality and better than many places we’ve been to. We’ll be back!

Simply amazing. I was looking for a restaurant near the Motorpoint arena for a pre- concert meal for the wife and I. I was concerned when I booked here as it's not the usual type of restaurant we would choose but OMG how I now wish Leicester had a ViDa restaurant. Come on ViDa management, open a place in Leicester, enough said

Called in for a meal on Sunday. Host (David?) was really friendly and the food was fresh, tasty and good quality - probably the best tortilla I've had. Great value and would definitely return.

I meet 'the girls' every other month and we stumbled across this gem in late summer last year. We are all foodies and cannot praise this gem high enough - food is fantastic, even on a quiet lunchtime the atmosphere is great - background music not tub thumping pop, and the owner is great, even though we've only been 4 times we are always greeted with a hug like long lost friends and if we ask to go 'off piste' he won't let us compromise his food and standards but accomodates our foibles - a true restratuer! His staff are also great, recommending things they think we will like and will work with our other choices! Whole place is clean and spacious whilst retaining a cozy feel - and the loos (most important!) Clean, tidy and have plenty of loo roll 🤣 Cannot recommend this gem highly enough- well worth seeking out - only a 5 min walk from market Square- if u get lost just ask for directions to Galleries of justice, St Mary's Church or the ice arena, you won't be disappointed - so ditch mcds bk and all the chain pubs/restaurants and support local - you really won't be disappointed!

Paella is not as good as we expected. But the staffs are very nice. Overall the price is reasonable.

This is my 6th visit and it never disappoints. The staff are efficient and friendly. The food is authentic. You feel as though you are enjoying a tapas meal in Valencia, as long as you don't look outside at the weather! Prices are completely justified for the delicious food on offer. By far, the BEST tapas restaurant in Nottingham.

Stopping by here as Spanish person, looking to feel at home when travelling for work… and very happy I did it. Tasty tapas, authentic variety and affordable prices. Staff really nice, really Spanish approach (loved it), plus the music… finally a place where to listen authentic Spanish rock from 90s. I wish I could have tried all the menu, unfortunately I was by my own so I just could eat 3 tapas, with a glass of Ribera De Duero. Finally I got offered a shot of crema de orujo. Thank you, felt like home.

The tapas at the restaurant is fantastic: I have eaten here three times and have never been disappointed. I particularly recommend the Berenjena Frita- aubergine fries with yoghurt and feta sauce, with honey and pomegranate - which is out of this world. We also had the Patatas Bravas (a generous portion), the Huevos roots with black pudding, the Calamares, which was beautifully prepared, and the Pollo con Chorizo which was so tasty. This place has such a lovely atmosphere and is a hidden gem. Service is impeccable.

Fabulous food, good wine and great service. All the tapas dishes were excellent, I especially liked the cod bites. The paella was tasty but a bit too salty.

A hidden gem off the beaten track, down stone stairs to a basement restaurant. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, the restaurant had a rustic feel but the toilets were exceptionally clean which in a city centre location is very commendable The wine selection is limited but our choice was very good. The food was flavourful and well presented and for me dare I even pinch myself to say it, the vegetarian aubergine dish was a star! I enjoyed the food and cocktails and the crème brûlée had a great flavour A great find and we would be happy to repeat

Absolutely fantastic food and great value. We had four tapas between us (which was plenty for lunch) and a drink each, came to £35 better us. Plenty of vegetarian choices, and the place is a funky basement with lovely staff. Go!

Highly recommend this restaurant. Amazing authentic Spanish cuisine, great vibe and love the decor. The guy that mostly served us (maybe owner or head front of house, not sure) introduced the menu and specials with such passion, so animated and proud of the dishes, he brought the food alive! That said, food was amazing, I wanted it to last forever. Very much a hidden gem!

What a fantastic little restaurant! Absolutely loved the food & the waitress staff were friendly & helpful. Not sure about the bald man with the tattoos though! I think he must be the manager. He made it feel ‘clicky’ with his hugging & kissing to his obvious regulars. Will definitely visit again just for the food

We lived our meal here on a Friday night. There were so many delicious sounding options on the menu and we chose 7 different dishes which were all great. The service was super friendly and we had good fun talking with all the servers who were very helpful.

Wonderful, authentic dishes and generous portions - the prawns and the steak special dish of the day were standout dishes. The cocktails on offer were also delicious! All of the staff we interacted with were helpful and insightful when called upon, especially Lena who gave a personal touch to our group and enhanced our experience. Will definitely be back.

My Spanish friend married on 23/1/2024. What a special restaurant this is. Not only is the food unbelievable (paella to die for. Nothing to beat this!) but the Valencia’s manager was genuine and his staff so friendly. Please visit this place. You will be forever grateful!

Usually go the Bar Iberico or Iberico World Tapas it thought we would give this a try one lunch time. OMG why have I not been here before?!!! Utterly insanely good fresh simple but amazing food cooked perfectly. Every dish was sensational. We will be back

Stumbled across this Tapas whilst in Nottingham for the day. The owner who was from Valencia, really nice and knowledgeable guy. We ordered two patasas bravas and he said you'll only need one. Love honesty like that. Food was of a high standard and the portions were generous. Not too expensive either. They also do the decent Estrella (Galicia) not the cheaper version (Damm). Shame it's not in Manchester as I'd be a regular customer. Would 100% recommend.

A hidden gem in Nottingham! This is such a lovely spot for tapas. The food was all delicious and the staff were so friendly. Will definitely be going back. I thought it was really reasonably priced as well for the amount of food we had. Plus, lots of vegetarian and vegan options!

We go to Nottingham approximately 2 times a year to visit friends up there. We always book this restaurant. The food is amazing but the staff are wonderful. Top marks all round.

Food was amazing and wine choice fab too. Would have stayed all day if we didn’t have plans. Only the 2nd time we’ve been, but definitely not our last. Friendliest staff ever, very welcoming and attentive. (forgot to take photos when everything arrived so this one doesn’t do the place justice)

Been here many times and the food is always wonderful. But for the third time in the row I have had the worst customer service experience. Items are always forgotten even if they were on the order when it’s read back to you, ran out of clean glasses so we had to wait half on hour just for drinks, and the servers overall are extremely rude and argumentative when you inform them dishes are missing. Despite giving the restaurant then benefit of the doubt on previous occasions I have decided to take my business elsewhere, it’s not like Nottingham has a shortage of tapas restaurants anyway. I would give it a miss and try other tapas bars first.

Lovely food especially squid ink paella

There was 10 of us for meals & drinks at 8pm Saturday night.2 meals didn’t come. 1 muscle 5 prawns in a paella for 2 £18 disgusting,then because we wasn’t happy with our meals they said we was rude to there staff,witch we was definitely not the case. we will definitely not be recommending this place.

The best tapas I have had. Visiting the Motorpoint Arena which was a couple of minutes walk away. We had a table booked based on the great reviews. The restaurant is ideally situated between the train station and the arena. The food was superb quality with great flavours. The service was very friendly and attentive. I would totally recommend this restaurant for great quality tapas. I would not hesitate in visiting again when next in Nottingham

We had dinner here on Saturday, the food it amazing! Tapas is one of our favourite foods, we usually go to another Tapas restaurant which is a regular of ours. We will definitely be back as Vida will probably be our new favourite from now on 😍

Walking around town on a Saturday evening, we took a chance to see if we could get a table. They found us a table even though they were fully booked. Service was promall staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered an array of items from the menu, and every single one was delicious. Highly recommend. 😊

Very nice. Food and wine all great! I always think patatas bravas is a bit dull but these were fluffy and crispy. Squid ink paella was good too. All a tiny bit saltier than I expected. The space is a bit noisy, maybe a lack of soft furnishings. I'll go again though good food, attentive service.

We had a lovely late lunch here. Very friendly staff and an excellent selection of taps a d paella on the menu. We had mushrooms, meatballs, empanadas and pork skewers. Delightful and will definitely venture back again.

We absolutely love this restaurant when we go as a couple, but the night we took friends it was not so good. It was a busy night & we were seated in a back alcove on our own Will not visit again.
