Simply amazing. I was looking for a restaurant near the Motorpoint arena for a pre- concert meal for the wife and I. I was concerned when I booked here as it's not the usual type of restaurant we would choose but OMG how I now wish Leicester had a ViDa restaurant. Come on ViDa management, open a place in Leicester, enough said

I meet 'the girls' every other month and we stumbled across this gem in late summer last year. We are all foodies and cannot praise this gem high enough - food is fantastic, even on a quiet lunchtime the atmosphere is great - background music not tub thumping pop, and the owner is great, even though we've only been 4 times we are always greeted with a hug like long lost friends and if we ask to go 'off piste' he won't let us compromise his food and standards but accomodates our foibles - a true restratuer! His staff are also great, recommending things they think we will like and will work with our other choices! Whole place is clean and spacious whilst retaining a cozy feel - and the loos (most important!) Clean, tidy and have plenty of loo roll 🤣 Cannot recommend this gem highly enough- well worth seeking out - only a 5 min walk from market Square- if u get lost just ask for directions to Galleries of justice, St Mary's Church or the ice arena, you won't be disappointed - so ditch mcds bk and all the chain pubs/restaurants and support local - you really won't be disappointed! Paella is not as good as we expected. But the staffs are very nice. Overall the price is reasonable.

This is my 6th visit and it never disappoints. The staff are efficient and friendly. The food is authentic. You feel as though you are enjoying a tapas meal in Valencia, as long as you don't look outside at the weather! Prices are completely justified for the delicious food on offer. By far, the BEST tapas restaurant in Nottingham.

Stopping by here as Spanish person, looking to feel at home when travelling for work… and very happy I did it. Tasty tapas, authentic variety and affordable prices. Staff really nice, really Spanish approach (loved it), plus the music… finally a place where to listen authentic Spanish rock from 90s. I wish I could have tried all the menu, unfortunately I was by my own so I just could eat 3 tapas, with a glass of Ribera De Duero. Finally I got offered a shot of crema de orujo. Thank you, felt like home.

The tapas at the restaurant is fantastic: I have eaten here three times and have never been disappointed. I particularly recommend the Berenjena Frita- aubergine fries with yoghurt and feta sauce, with honey and pomegranate - which is out of this world. We also had the Patatas Bravas (a generous portion), the Huevos roots with black pudding, the Calamares, which was beautifully prepared, and the Pollo con Chorizo which was so tasty. This place has such a lovely atmosphere and is a hidden gem. Service is impeccable.

Fabulous food, good wine and great service. All the tapas dishes were excellent, I especially liked the cod bites. The paella was tasty but a bit too salty.

A hidden gem off the beaten track, down stone stairs to a basement restaurant. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, the restaurant had a rustic feel but the toilets were exceptionally clean which in a city centre location is very commendable The wine selection is limited but our choice was very good. The food was flavourful and well presented and for me dare I even pinch myself to say it, the vegetarian aubergine dish was a star! I enjoyed the food and cocktails and the crème brûlée had a great flavour A great find and we would be happy to repeat

Highly recommend this restaurant. Amazing authentic Spanish cuisine, great vibe and love the decor. The guy that mostly served us (maybe owner or head front of house, not sure) introduced the menu and specials with such passion, so animated and proud of the dishes, he brought the food alive! That said, food was amazing, I wanted it to last forever. Very much a hidden gem!

Absolutely fantastic food and great value. We had four tapas between us (which was plenty for lunch) and a drink each, came to £35 better us. Plenty of vegetarian choices, and the place is a funky basement with lovely staff. Go!

What a fantastic little restaurant! Absolutely loved the food & the waitress staff were friendly & helpful. Not sure about the bald man with the tattoos though! I think he must be the manager. He made it feel ‘clicky’ with his hugging & kissing to his obvious regulars. Will definitely visit again just for the food

Wonderful, authentic dishes and generous portions - the prawns and the steak special dish of the day were standout dishes. The cocktails on offer were also delicious! All of the staff we interacted with were helpful and insightful when called upon, especially Lena who gave a personal touch to our group and enhanced our experience. Will definitely be back.

We lived our meal here on a Friday night. There were so many delicious sounding options on the menu and we chose 7 different dishes which were all great. The service was super friendly and we had good fun talking with all the servers who were very helpful.

My Spanish friend married on 23/1/2024. What a special restaurant this is. Not only is the food unbelievable (paella to die for. Nothing to beat this!) but the Valencia’s manager was genuine and his staff so friendly. Please visit this place. You will be forever grateful!

Usually go the Bar Iberico or Iberico World Tapas it thought we would give this a try one lunch time. OMG why have I not been here before?!!! Utterly insanely good fresh simple but amazing food cooked perfectly. Every dish was sensational. We will be back

Stumbled across this Tapas whilst in Nottingham for the day. The owner who was from Valencia, really nice and knowledgeable guy. We ordered two patasas bravas and he said you'll only need one. Love honesty like that. Food was of a high standard and the portions were generous. Not too expensive either. They also do the decent Estrella (Galicia) not the cheaper version (Damm). Shame it's not in Manchester as I'd be a regular customer. Would 100% recommend.

A hidden gem in Nottingham! This is such a lovely spot for tapas. The food was all delicious and the staff were so friendly. Will definitely be going back. I thought it was really reasonably priced as well for the amount of food we had. Plus, lots of vegetarian and vegan options!

We go to Nottingham approximately 2 times a year to visit friends up there. We always book this restaurant. The food is amazing but the staff are wonderful. Top marks all round.

Food was amazing and wine choice fab too. Would have stayed all day if we didn’t have plans. Only the 2nd time we’ve been, but definitely not our last. Friendliest staff ever, very welcoming and attentive. (forgot to take photos when everything arrived so this one doesn’t do the place justice)

Lovely food especially squid ink paella

Been here many times and the food is always wonderful. But for the third time in the row I have had the worst customer service experience. Items are always forgotten even if they were on the order when it’s read back to you, ran out of clean glasses so we had to wait half on hour just for drinks, and the servers overall are extremely rude and argumentative when you inform them dishes are missing. Despite giving the restaurant then benefit of the doubt on previous occasions I have decided to take my business elsewhere, it’s not like Nottingham has a shortage of tapas restaurants anyway. I would give it a miss and try other tapas bars first.

There was 10 of us for meals & drinks at 8pm Saturday night.2 meals didn’t come. 1 muscle 5 prawns in a paella for 2 £18 disgusting,then because we wasn’t happy with our meals they said we was rude to there staff,witch we was definitely not the case. we will definitely not be recommending this place.

The best tapas I have had. Visiting the Motorpoint Arena which was a couple of minutes walk away. We had a table booked based on the great reviews. The restaurant is ideally situated between the train station and the arena. The food was superb quality with great flavours. The service was very friendly and attentive. I would totally recommend this restaurant for great quality tapas. I would not hesitate in visiting again when next in Nottingham

We had dinner here on Saturday, the food it amazing! Tapas is one of our favourite foods, we usually go to another Tapas restaurant which is a regular of ours. We will definitely be back as Vida will probably be our new favourite from now on 😍

Amazing food and amazing service. A hidden gem in the Lace Market.

Walking around town on a Saturday evening, we took a chance to see if we could get a table. They found us a table even though they were fully booked. Service was promall staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered an array of items from the menu, and every single one was delicious. Highly recommend. 😊

Brilliant place lovely food and atmosphere

We’ve been here many times and have always enjoyed exceptional food and service. Lorente is always so welcoming and informative about what is available on the menu (the specials have been different each time we have visited).

Very nice. Food and wine all great! I always think patatas bravas is a bit dull but these were fluffy and crispy. Squid ink paella was good too. All a tiny bit saltier than I expected. The space is a bit noisy, maybe a lack of soft furnishings. I'll go again though good food, attentive service.

We had a lovely late lunch here. Very friendly staff and an excellent selection of taps a d paella on the menu. We had mushrooms, meatballs, empanadas and pork skewers. Delightful and will definitely venture back again.

Nothing short of 5 stars. The owner/waiter was friendly on our arrival, honest and helpful with our choices. The food was typical authentic Spanish tapas, the best outside of Spain. The tapas plates were all good portions but the paella was quite a small portion for 2 people. Cheese platter needs a variety of cheese not just manchego! Would be nice to have churros on the dessert menu. Maybe not traditionally a dessert in Spain but so good we would have ordered them!

Wow, what an amazing Spanish hideaway away from the hustle and bustle too. Called in without a reservation as we seem to do everywhere. Made the effort to give us a table as they were really busy. The staff were fab, smiling, attentive and actually look happy doing their work. Didn't wait long foe the food and wasn't disappointed either. We chose five from the tapas menu and some breads. Can't remember the name of all we orders but I do recommend the prawns in garlic, check out the pic and tell me it doesn't make you salivate. All round 5 Stars. I would give 10 Stars to this restaurant, if I could. The set up is modern and relaxing. The food is amazing and good portion sizes. But this food is tasty and the aubergine fries is out of this world. Great services from the waitress and the owner. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary and we could of not chosen a better venue to go to. I've been to ViDa by Lorentes multiple times now, and their food never disappoints. It tastes just like food I've had in Valencia, and the owner and staff are lovely. Prices are above average, but worth it if you want authentic Spanish food. Highly recommend!
