I have been to this place 3 times before. To be honest, I am not sure why this place has a Michelin star. All 3 of my visits were mediocre. Not exceptional. Food was very average, taste has disappointed me and my partner. The second time I have tried this place, the food has disappointed my friend too. Service is great and lovely staff around, however food has been of a poor to average quality.

As a Michelin food guide recognized restaurant I must say that the atmosphere was fantastic. Staff was amazing alongside the food. Great portion control across the board for all the plates I was served, Food was seasoned and made to perfection! I have zero complaints to make about this restaurant and will have it as a must return sometime this year. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

The place is very nice, full of people constantly coming and going. The tapas were very delicious, perhaps too guement for my taste, I would have liked to try more traditional tapas like the ones you can try in Barcelona in any little bar on any corner. The typical barcelona beer, very smooth and easy to drink.

Excelent resturant, the food is outstanding. Deffo a must visit for anyone looking to eat out in Nottingham

Amazing food, definitely bring back the chickpea and yoghurt dish as it was amazing but now I see it’s been removed from the menu. The table alarm system is great, and allows you to go have a drink at one of the bars in the lace market before returning to an available table. However I will note that the stool tables could be a little more spaced out as you’re quite close and intruding onto other people. Also the pricing is perfect, five dishes were more than enough for me and my friend and it came to an affordable price; keep this up as this allows more people to dine out regularly. Hopefully next time I can try the sangria.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary. The vibes are always so nice, the food was delicious (it was my partner's first time eating there and he really liked everything too). Our server, James, was fantastic. I'm pretty sure he's served me before too, but he's great, so helpful and friendly. He also took a lovely picture of us for the evening. Thank you so much James for making our evening even more lovely 🥰

I love this place, the buzz, the food and great wine. My only gripe is you can’t book, but to be fair I’ve never had to wait too long for a table. You won’t be disappointed.

Good atmosphere, nice lighting and top food. Recommend ordering a sharp or tart drink to cut the richness of the food. Which, by the way, is completely delicious. Very well thought out and not too many things on the menu, but still enough variety. Quite quick service and didn't wait long for a table, despite it being a weekend lunchtime

This is an ideal place to go to if you're after a quick bite to eat in town. There's no need to book a table (mainly because you can't anyway) so there may be a small wait but it's worth it. It's tapas food so you can pick from a good selection of dishes depending on how hungry you are. The food is excellent and good value. Well worth a visit.

Only came here as we couldn't get seats at one of the sister restaurants. Not a problem, as we all had a really good experience here. Friendly staff and great service. Food was great also, and there are vegetarian and vegan options.

Nice tapas and lovely bar. Had some really nice dishes including the lamb skewers, turnip carpaccio and fish. However slightly let down by the padron peppers which I found some were burnt and some were undercooked, as well the crispy chicken and crispy cauliflower both came fried in same sauce and think cauliflower dish could of been tastier not in batter.

Enjoyed eating here in the past, but came as a couple and we were told we could only sit at the bar as they were saving tables for 4 people. There were 6 small tables with only 40mins left...seems bad for business and disappointing for us! Obviously eating at a bar when there are tables available is not ok and very unwelcoming.

Very busy but lovely atmosphere. Food absolutely delicious. We ordered 3 plates each. Was far too much and didn't eat it all. Staff are friendly and very helpful. If you like tapes this is the place to go.

Great variety of tapas options and lovely food. Slightly expensive but definitely worth the money especially if you are going in a small group.

Came in last Saturday, very busy as the Xmas season is starting to kick off, but was a super experience nevertheless. More of a tapsy small plate style My personal favourite was the crispy cauliflower and the pork belly. A special shout out to Elliot who was absolutely lovely and helped me out with the menu and made some tasty recommendations.

Service was great, atmosphere was fine but noisy. For me the food wasn't great. It is tapas so there's a chance I didn't choose well but the potatoes were too salty for me and the lamb skewers were pure fat. The cheese churros were incredibly strange, I didn't expect them to be sweet with cheese on but they were. Not to my taste unfortunately.

Great Thursday dinner with a group of three. All the food was fantastic — best menu yet! Cant wait to come back. Manchego churros, spicy chorizo, and crispy cauliflower were our favorites!

Visited for the first time this weekend our party loved every minute. The food was incredible and VERY reasonably priced. The staff were welcoming and attentive. I cannot wait for our next visit!

Would be nice to have pictures of the tapas so you know what you were ordering and an indication of whether the dish is served hot or cold.

Overall very nice but each experience will be different due to different menues and staff. I’ve had the same dishes on different days which were noticeably different. Downside is it’s always busy and may have very long wait times.

Had a really enjoyable meal! We went for the rapido set and ordered some extra tapas to try and the charcuterie board. The food was great, the staff were lovely and friendly and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. Loved the steak tartare, charcuterie, pinchos, chorizo, croquetas, cauliflower, and loved the cinnamon egg tarts! The one we weren't so keen on was the fish as it tasted a bit perfume-y, but it was definitely interesting to try, and everything else was extremely enjoyable! Went for a birthday meal, so we did go all out! Would definitely return!

Absolutely brilliant 👏 We went on a very busy Friday night with no booking. We had to wait 5 minutes for a table, then we stayed for around an hour. The food was lovely and the staff did a fantastic job, considering it was so busy we could have been in there alone. Definitely visit if you are in Nottingham and love Spanish tapas ❤️

Came for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was a lovely experience and the food was lush!😩

I had this place on my list for the last two years and I was waiting to visit Nottingham to pay them a visit, unfortunately I was underwhelmed! We are Spanish family and definitely not very authentic Spanish flavours, neither usual tapas! Disappointed with the cauliflower and the chicken dish as they both are coated in the same style of batter deep fried and tossed with sauces, far away from Spain flavours and textures! We also had prawns and pork belly from the Josper oven, unfortunately both were dry and overcooked. On the opposite, beetroot and cheese was very nice, staff was attentive but busy therefore all over the place.

Great place for casual eating - good, fast and efficient service, good selection of tapas and drinks. Very busy and well organised place, waiter found us a table (otherwise wait was on hour). Food served relatively quickly - overall very good experience.

Amazing, the food and atmosphere is brilliant, the staff are super friendly and the best bit is, it’s great value. I go at times on my own and feel right at home. They also own Iberico which is the best tapas restaurant in Nottingham. They are both a must visit

Food was lovely super flavourful! Highly recommend the chorizo and the steak 😋 The portion of the steak is tiny but the quality and flavours do make up for it ( deffo order 2 dishes😂 each) Only dish I wouldn’t recommend is the sourdough flat bread duck- unfortunately the duck was extremely dry but it may have been because it was the end of the night and we got a bad batch? Idk! Service was great, staff are warm welcoming and friendly take their time to explain things! The only thing I would suggest to maybe change the music make it more authentic Spanish or Latin music would be a great touch and really set the atmosphere!

One of the best restaurants in notts. Went for lunch and ordered from the Menu Rapido which means you get 2 dishes and a ‘to pick at’ for £17 which is an amazing deal in my opinion. Came with 2 friends so we all had plenty of food! The crispy cauliflower and crispy chicken are amazing and I particularly enjoyed the cured market fish. I have a shellfish allergy and my server was very clear on what I could/ couldn’t eat. Service is great only downside is that you can’t book and it does get busy!

Good food and vibe, there’s a lot to like about Bar Iberico. No reservations so get in early to minimise wait time. If there’s a bit of a queue they’ll give you a pager so you can go to a local bar and get notified once your table is free - neat! Nice range of tapas, particularly liked the blue cheese and beetroot. Octopus croquettes looked good too. For dessert my son had the pastel del nata (custard tart) - perfect. I’m going to be a bit mean and say the ice cream was just alright - but then I hold a high bar. CALLING TEAM IBERICO! Why not some authentic Spanish cheesecake?

Would be 4.5 stars if I could. Overall it is a lovely place with a great atmosphere, very busy, and the servers were very friendly and helpful. However the food we ordered was just nothing special. We got a cheese board, chorizo, fish which were all ok. The crispy chicken was nice but the same kind you’d find in every restaurant. The patats bravas were great though. I think other food options might of impressed me more so it’s still a high rating

The atmosphere was great, and the service was also excellent. The front desk staff helped me store the boxes. My English is not good, but the service staff are very patient in listening to me and patiently explaining things to me. The food is delicious, I recommend cod and chocolate ice cream. The drinks are also very good.

No reservations, great food especially the crispy cauliflower! Really good service too, quick, polite, polished. Excellent choice for a romantic dinner! Some good vegan and vegetarian options too, plus non alcoholic beer on draft.

I cannot fault this place. Great staff, great vibe, awesome dishes. I cannot wait to go back.

We have been before, but felt a need to review this time. The service was quick, attentive and helpful. The food was hot and full of flavour, and arrived quickly and everything looked attractive to eat as well. We really enjoyed this lunch time dining experience whilst people watching and enjoying the Hockley vibe. We washed our lovely lunch down with a pint of Spanish beer... Totally recommended, will definitely frequent again. Happy customers

I randomly found this place while walking and it blew my expectation. The location is very good, not crowded and not empty, they got plenty of seats outside, inside and downstairs. I came during graduation weeks and it was slightly busy but, that didn't stop the staff from serving at appropriate time and nothing came late.

As soon as we walked in we were able to choose where we want to sit and were offered a jug of water to have as we chose our meals. They have a wide range of tapas choices as well as offering a menu rapido of £16.95 where we got Mixed olives, Market fish pinchos and Crispy chicken and spicy jerez sauce, which was a good size for the price. We also chose a crispy lamb and goats cheese flatbread that was perfect. The quality of the food was amazing and it was all very delicious, furthermore, the staff were very kind and attentive. Thank you!

First time visiting, with partner being from Spain he knows his Tapas !! Wow wow wow food was on point ! Drinks were amazing and the pudding was to. Shout out to Saul what a lovely polite guy . We will be back . Dale and Emma

Great place for sharing plates. Don't think of it as one meal each, but as a variety of things everyone will share. Essential to have the mixtures of flavours, and some spicy some creamy, for maximum effect.

Me and a friend had dinner here before going to a concert at the arena. It is ideal with parking close by and the arena just down the road. The staff were welcoming and very helpful and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were brilliant. I can definitely recommend the Spanish tortilla, the crispy chicken (which had a good kick of heat from the sauce) and the crispy cauliflower was really nice. We finished with the churro’s and chocolate sauce, which finished the meal perfectly. It really made the night more enjoyable and we would definitely eat there again.

Service was a little slow but they knocked a meal off the price without us asking. Food was absolutely delicious, will definitely be returning!

I don’t know how this restaurant has such a good score. Food was at most edible. Service was good though.

The opening time says midnight but we went at 10pm and apparently they don’t accept anyone after 10pm on a Saturday

Absolutely lovely, food brilliant, enjoyed everything. Would highly recommend.

When we first went to the restaurant, it was incredibly full and there were no empty tables, so we were given a device and told that we would be called with this device when the table was empty, and while we were waiting, we walked around the area, which we liked very much. Talking about the food, it was simply amazing. Every meal we ate was delicious and we ate to the point of losing ourselves. The same was true for cocktails, special cocktails really tasted great. Even though the atmosphere inside was a little noisy due to the crowd, it wasn't too bad. A mistake was made in the service and the wrong plate was brought. Even though one of us was a vegetarian, the plate was served with pork, but we noticed the mistake before eating it. And the table was not cleaned regularly. Apart from these, it can be said that the employees are mostly friendly. For those who will go to this place, we definitely recommend grilled broccoli with avocado sauce, pistachio bread and smoked almonds.

I was supposed to come here on a first date once…not sure we would have made it past that night if we had eaten here…Okay that’s harsh, but this is a classic tale of expectations not meeting reality. I opted for the “Menu Rapido”, with the Patatas Bravas and Sticky Pork Ribs as my tapas options. Whist the patatas bravas was good (you can’t go wrong with potatoes, and if you do we have a big problem), the ribs has a strange flavour. Neither were they weren’t easy to eat; I can imagine the sheer horror on my date’s face had I had the chance to order them that night… Additionally, the ribs had an extra £2 charge, something I did not realize and quite frankly, do not believe is worth it. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, whilst the experience was nice, this restaurant won’t be getting a second date with me.

Reasonably priced buy the food exceeded our expectations, small wait to get a table but well worth it.

Came to this restaurant with friends last year, great service and food. Told my wife how good it was, took her this last Wed tea time, although there was 2\3 tables spare and a couple sat at a table made up for 4, we were told that I couldn't sit at any of the spare tables unless I was a 4 !!... and so was turned away whilst they had empty tables, unbelievable arrogance and attitude to customers ! Wife very unimpressed !!..

We have been to Iberico many times so we like the food but this review is for the staff. Helpful, clear, accommodating and cheerful. It makes all the difference. Thank you.

Great food but the service was a bit of a mess. The 10% 'optional' service charge really put a downer on the experience.

1st time here after travelling from Birmingham to see friends! Food was amazing and just what you would expect from a Tapas place. Atmosphere was nice, but as we were there at around 5pm on a Wednesday the restaurant was very full with several big and noisy groups which just took the edge off it slightly. Will definitely be coming back when I am in Nottingham again

I was wrong when I thought "it'll be just another tapas place" - the food here has a lot of care lavished on it. Each dish is really distinctive and delicious.

This restaurant has an all vegan menu as well as non-dietary restricted so is a great place for a variety of people. I had the bread, crispy cauliflower and vegan blue cheese. Recommend all 3 (although the menu has since been updated). Portions were generous, I couldn't finish everything. Lovely staff!

Lovely tapas, we really enjoyed it and I’m not one for sharing food. Had about 5 dishes (cauliflower, breads, beef and pil pil prawns) and were stuffed (although always room for a cheeky shared pudding - cheesecake was divine)) this was recommended by a work colleague and they were so right.

Fabulous in every way. Despite a reputation for being really busy our early evening vist was just right in terms of buzz without pandemonium. The food, we took advatage of the 'Menu Rapido', was fabulous all dishes exactly as described and served perfectly. The King Prawn Pil Pil are not on the list below but are outstanding. Staff were fabulous even discreetly noting my disability and adjusting subtly.

This would be a solid 4 stars if it were better value for money. The portions sizes are small which is correct and great for sharing, and mostly the food is ok. In fact I'd say everything from the josper grill is very good. It's just that each dish in my opinion is £2 to £3 more than it should be for the size and quality. Worst offenders were the ribs and the crispy cauliflower (which I actually found unpleasant - over cooked cauliflower battered and fried, drowning in an indifferent syrup). The anchovy flatbread would have been reasonable value if it weren't so mean with the toppings - the butter, lemon and buerre blanc were not apparent on what we were served. Drinks are OK. Service is friendly. Food came too quickly (almost all at once) for my preference. But at least that meant we could leave sooner...

For a Michelin star restaurant I expected more. The food was okay but not the best I’ve had. The food was okay, did not excite me. What did shock me was that the food gave me food poisoning!! Extremely disappointing after the amount I paid & tipped. So I would not recommend this restaurant.

Food was great, particularly the ribs, the lamb and beef pinchos. However, the market fish was not nice at all and ended up being the only dish left over by the end of the meal. Table server was excellent in suggesting what/how much to order and made sure we were taken care of. However, the lady who came to clear the table was passive aggressive (perhaps she was in a rush to finish as it was around 9:30ish on a Tuesday night) but she really annoyed us with that. This was supposed to be a lovely birthday meal for my dad but she ruined the vibe by the end of it.
