Rosanto Leicester in Leicester

Terrible food. Cake was stale, I couldn't eat it. Staff did not speak Portuguese. I was very disappointed with the experience.

I have been there with my family, the food take more than 30min to be served and when arrived the meet was black, very hard to eat, and the fried egg was dry! Pay a lot for nothing, the food end up in the bin. The lady at the till was very nice.

Top quality food and lovely wine coupled with fantastic service and an authentic feel. Thank joal and the team. Look forward to seeing you again soon.

It’s a little place tucked away but it’s such an amazing little find. Our good friend took us there and we were not disappointed. The food; magnificent. The atmosphere; lively. The people; kind, welcoming and really willing to go above and beyond. We’re not from Leicester but I’d happy go back just for this restaurant.

My wife and I visited Rosanto this evening and had the most wonderful dining experience, the service was first class, nothing was too much trouble. My wife had piri piri chicken that was cooked to perfection and I had steak that I could not fault. The overall dining experience was very good and value for money I would recommend this restaurant

What a place, food amazing , Staff are very friendly. Menu is small but well selected. if you haven't been before then you must get yourself down there. Food is very tasty and well priced. Cant wait for them to open again

Unfamiliar with Leicester, we searched for Portuguese food on google and this restaurant. Initially, we thought we were lost due to the hidden location. However, the food and the service impressed us! I had a lovely “Francesinha” (a sandwich filled with meat covered in sauce with a side of chips) and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were welcoming and lovely to talk to throughout and overall we had a lovely experience, and the restaurant itself is stunning!

Da consigliare a tutti, si mangia sempre bene e il servizio è ottimo, condizione familiare gestita da portoghesi da una vita in attività..cibi consigliati tutti.. per chiunque voglia mangiare bene in Inghilterra.. e non è facile trovare alternative ai fast-food..

What a fantastic place, warm welcoming family run friendly restaurant, having never eaten Portuguese before we were recommended they chose a selection to share, from the olives, the cheese the ham,the bread the starters(tuna, whitefish, meat). Fabulous prawns. And main course of the fish pie, the pork,clams potatoes and rice, the half chicken and the belly pork with fries. No room for pudding . Very reasonable price too. Will definitely revisit ASAP

Went for the hubby's birthday and wasn't sure what to expect. We were made to feel welcome. Advice and recommendations were given for the food, which was delicious. The prawns were delucious!!! Would deffo reccomend.

Best Portuguese restaurant in England. Bifana with the home made chilli sauce is incredible. Amazing prawns (gambas) and the peri chicken is tasty. The owners and staff are super friendly, service is 5 star. We will be back! Thank you.

Visited after reading several reviews on here and Google. I ordered the whole peri peri chicken and chips. Shared between myself and my 7 year old son. Really tasty and succulent. Not spicy hot so my son was able to eat it. However, they supply a homemade hot sauce which was divine! Took a doggy bag for some leftovers. Very impressed. Very friendly and authentic place. Will be back. A few photos of the menu as they don't have a proper online presence other than Facebook.

Been here a few times in the last few months. Place is absolutely top drawer. Authentic Portuguese food not the boiled precooked nonsense you get at Nando’s. Give it a try you won’t go Wrong. Whole chicken and fries for £12.50! The best salad you can eat for a couple of quid.

Have been here a few times with my husband and 3 year old, nothing is too much trouble and ordering the chefs specials is encouraged.Always lovely food and the white wine is my favourite.They always cook exactly what my 3 year old wants, usually chicken and rice and he loves the relaxed atmosphere.If you’re lucky on a Saturday night there will be a dj and the music takes you away to an exotic holiday somewhere hot!! Love this place.

Today we had the chicken set meal was very good came with chips rice and salad the salad was so fresh and tasty you did not want it to finish then we had coffee which was excellent plus we had a beer and wine very good value for a lunch time all the waiters are so friendly and informative about the dishes

I visited here on a Wednesday evening staying in Leicester for a busines trip. Came here as I like seafood and saw a couple of good reviews on trip advisor. Had to get a taxi as quite hard to find.

The food is authentic, the staff are attentive and efficient. After living in Portugal many moons ago this is just like being back in Portugal and has easily become one of my favourite places to eat and certainly the best Portuguese cuisine by far. 100% would recommend this place to everybody.

What a lovely family run restaurant. the family that run this place are so nice and take pride in their food. They look after their customers so well i would even go there just to see them. The food is brilliant and plentyful. Prawns to die for. very reasonably priced too. it was our first time there last Saturday and definatly will be back.

Booked fairly last minute for a meal on a Saturday evening. Chaps on the phone were incredibly friendly and extremely accommodating. They accommodated our children so well and recommended dishes for them.

Visited this place last night with seven friends after recommendation by a local man .Food was brilliant staff made us feel very welcome dispite just turning up .Will definitely go back again next time .

We travel long way to try some Portuguese specialities and it was well worth the hussle! Tasty autentic food with generous portions, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We will be definately visiting again very soon, probably on a day with life music.. Cookie cake is amazing and i also loved proper portuguese coffe

Went here last night 30/11/18. 3 friends and ordered whole chicken, garlic bread, salad and the prawns. They take their time cooking but the food is absolutely 10/10. Service so with a smile and I got speaking to Daniel. Very friendly place and the food is absolutely amazing. It’s a family run restaurant and will be supporting them.

Been to this place several times and keep going back. The food is great and so is the staff. The only point is food can sometimes take its time to get to the table and other times ordering it is also the same, but always worth the wait. I will definitelty keep going there.

I would recommend avoiding Rosanto. I and a small group of friends visited on a quiet Thursday lunchtime. Our food didn't arrive until over an hour after we were seated, despite us asking staff about it several times - I could understand this on a busy night, but not on a quiet lunchtime with only a couple of other tables occupied. When the food did arrive this was not as we'd hoped. Two of my friend's dishes were inedible, with "chewy" cod and "hard" prawns. We complained, and as we had no time to wait for any replacement food we said we'd pay for the meals we'd eaten, but expected to take the two uneaten meals off the bill. We paid and left. On our way out the waiter told us "not to come back", then followed us outside and started being abusive as we walked away. This was very unpleasant, and hence my review. I can understand restaurants may have off-days, but I certainly don't expect abuse.

Five of us visited Rosanto for lunch in between escape rooms at thd nearby Escape Reality. We'd allocated 75 minutes which we thought would be plenty. We were wrong.

This place has a fantastic Portuguese menu but I have to say that the "Prego no pão" (steak sandwich with ham and cheese) is probably the best sandwich in the world ever!!!! (in my humble opinion )..soft roll with thin steak topped with a slice of ham and melted cheese, with a side sauce of their home made piri piri sauce and a glass of draught shares.....beat that in Leicester! Prego is only £4!

This is a great place for lunch, dinner or just a few drinks. The owners are very nice and very helpful food is very tasty.

Very good portuguese food, being portuguese myself is nice to have a place to go eat once in a while, since the city where i'm living doesnt have a portuguese restaurant, the food was superb and the staff super friendly. recommend.

Really really great food, proper Portuguese beer, lethal Portuguese coffee (I love it, but you have to add sugar) and friendly if relaxed service - sometimes just a touch too relaxed, but it wouldn't put me off visiting again. The pasta and olives are stellar.

Es la mejor cocina portuguesa en Leicester hasta ahora, pero las 3 veces que vine, no tienen tantos que nwated para probar en el menú. Pero de todos modos disfrutamos obviamente debe cambiar. También finalmente me borrachos espumoso portugués cerveza wow. Tuvimos música así fue muy bueno en general

Yo parado aquí para beber mientras en tiendas del centro de la ciudad de Leicester. ¡Qué lugar tan encantador. Personal amable, la comida muy buena, que nos quedamos allí durante horas. Si cierra los ojos en un día de verano sentarse, pensarías que estaba en un pequeño café en algún lugar del Algarve. Ahora es uno de mis favoritos de parada puntos en cualquier momento del día o de la noche.

Como un nativo portuguesa, este restaurante me lleva a casa. La comida es auténtica, el personal es atento y eficiente. Esto ha fácilmente convertido en uno de mis sitios favoritos para comer en Inglaterra y sin duda la mejor cocina portuguesa de lejos. 100% Recomendaría este lugar a todo el mundo. Lurdes del p. es absolutamente fantástico!

Restaurante cinco estrelas, óptimo atendimento e óptima comida. Bom ambiente familiar,recomenda se a famílias ou mesmo a pessoa só, não se irão arrepender.
