Anatolia Mediterranian in Leicester

The service was excellent and the food was incredibly tasty, stumbled upon this place when driving down Alandale Road and will 1000% be back!

We sat on the rear balcony and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We ordered starters and mains which were delicious and highly recommended. We were talking about how nice our evening had been and how we would definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family, and also saying how the balcony could be made so pretty with soft lighting, candles and more foliage for examples potted olive trees. To improve even further I would recommend enhancing the menu choices and including sharing platters :)

Not from this area stopping just up the road. Decided to have a meal here with my friend. Very welcoming from the start and left us to have a chat. Had garlic prawns and halumi for starters. Chicken shish and lamb chops for main. Starters were plenty and exactly as described. Mains were faultless. 3 descent size chops. Griddle chicken with the authentic taste. No pressure to leave and would definitely recommend and call back if I'm in the area.

The good thing first, veg platter was superb. Hassan, was too good. I ordered garlic mushrooms which were supposed to be in butter but were made in oil. Garlic bread was too hard to chew. All main courses were in my opinion overly priced. So, for me not again

Visited with work colleagues and the restaurant was excellent. Hassan was very nice.

Bad - The pizza, despite being described as authentic Italian, was not good. - expensive for quality of food Good - Starters - Service Note that despite being in Leicester, in a predominantly Asian area, and being a Turkish restaurant, none of the meat is halal.

Booked this restaurant to celebrate my birthday on 16.2.24 for a party of 16. Hassan was very pleasant and accomodating,. On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our table, in the annexe, which was private and pleasant although cold. We asked for the heating to to turned up but this did not happen. On placing our orders, one of our starters did not arrive and when we brought this to their attention, we were told that it was been prepared but by this time everyone else around the table had finished theirs so we asked that they cancel as we no longer wanted it and would be ordering the mains but they insisted on bringing it out and said they would not include in the bill. On tasting this starter, it appeared to be frozen on the inside so was not eaten. We ordered our mains, and checked it through with the person taking the order who went off to place our orders however when the meals were brought to our table almost all of them were wrong (rice instead of fries). We let them know that the orders were not right and was told that they were not as they all came with rice again some orders were not complete. When we went to settle the bill, they had charged for items we had not recieved/ eaten and on querying this the "waitress" said "oh they just don't want to pay". This ruined what started off as a very pleasant evening and I now have an unpleasant reminder of my birthday celebratory meal. Never again!!!

First and undoubtedly the last visit as the evening rapidly sped downhill. It began okay. The food itself is average. It looks lovely and quaint inside, plus, the space was clean. However, being seated in the back room, made it difficult to settle as it was cold. The shameful part of the experience was the service. Food was really slow to come out, missing or mistaking dishes along the way, despite the order being clarified SEVERAL times as we were a party. We immediately made it clear that missing dishes were no longer wanted as they were too late, only for some to be randomly brought out and forced onto the table later on. When the missing and late items were contested, we were met with hostility, ignorance and blame. Any conversation attempted to be had was audaciously shut down, argued or dismissed by staff walking off. It became an even bigger battle when the bill came. Apparently, it's customary to pay for missing, late and unwanted items. Absolutely abysmal! Acknowledgement of staff error and reflecting inconsistencies in the bill would have gone a long way to resolving the meal. Professionalism needs to stand even when situations don't go your way. No excuse for such awful behaviour.

Lovely atmosphere, great venue, food was delicious and service was amazing! Hassan especially is a top man, he knows his stuff, very engaging and welcoming, we had a great time chatting to him at the bar and he went above and beyond in every area. 10/10 would recommend, lovely spot and we’ll definitely be back very soon.

Friendly and attentive service. Wonderful flavours. Welcoming premises. We both had a hummus to share: it was home-made and aromatic; the bread was freshly baked and lovely. We followed it with a plate each of the grilled chicken shish with rice, all of which was tremendous. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely family meal here last Saturday for my husband’s birthday. Very tasty food, excellent friendly service and the back room was perfect for a large family. First visit but we will go back.

Fantastic Turkish restaurant with great tasty mediterranean fresh food prepared with love . Such a little gem in Stoneygate, with a beautiful terrace and little garden to enjoy alfresco dining with sunshine. A very friendly family run restaurant, with always a warm welcome from all. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, we love it.

What a find! This is currently the best Turkish restaurant in Leicester. The relaxed atmosphere adds to the benefit of the tasty food. I went for the Chicken Shish with rice. Be sure to order the Hummus with the bread, very tasty. The Chicken was nicely marinated and cooked perfectly over a charcoal grill. I will definitely be coming back here.

We would have gone here on a Saturday evening, but as there was 9 of us we wanted to book a table beforehand. This required website registration and other things, so we went to Seoul Bowl instead. Couldn’t see a single customer in there as we passed by.

Food is amazing and the portions are quite big. As a Turkish person I definitely recommend chef's specials or anatolia specials. They are amazing. Try it definitely! Thanks for the good food and amazing service.

Coming from Turkey, I’m please to say this is an amazing place to eat turkish kebab and meze’s. Traditional Turkish alcohol, tea and deserts, all is really good. I’d happily recommend anyone wants to eat delicious kebab!

I came here for a birthday party and was impressed by the customer service and the tasty food, i am definitely coming back here for more

Went for a late lunch and it was just 3 of us and a toddler. The member of staff that waited on us was lovely and helpful. There was a good selection of food in the menu and what we picked was lovely. I got fish fingers from the kids menu and it was a very generous portion. Overall an excellent experience.

This is the first time we have visited this restaurant and it most certainly will not be our last. Great atmosphere with a friendly, polite and very helpful waiter. Thankfully I only had a small greek salad for starter so was able to really enjoy my main meal. The rest of our party had big starters so had to have take way for part of their main meal. Very big portions and absolutely delicious. Two had the meat mousakka and they both said the best they hd every had. I had the chicken Kavurma and the other member had lamb kavurma and definitely the best I have ever had. A highly recommend this restaurant

Excellent service and delicious meals.

I haven’t been here so much since moving 4 years ago. Popped in tonight and was greeted with a restaurant twice the size. Very tastefully decorated in the new part. It’ll be fantastic in the summer with the new garden terrace. I was hoping to see the owner but I was well looked after by the very pleasant and efficient staff. Peroni may be an odd beer for a Turkish restaurant when most serve efes, but it’s fantastic and goes well with the food. I enjoyed a very tasty chicken and lamb shish combination. The complimentary bread, chilli and yoghurt starter were nicer than the usual. Certainly richer and more flavourful. The bread was warm. A fantastic meal. Much nicer atmosphere than the current crop of Turkish grills. Can’t wait to be back.

This restaurant is lovely.food excellent up there with the best staff very friendly and lovely surroundings. This is our 2nd time and will go again soon. Only thing it's not busy and needs more atmosphere we went on a Saturday.,there was only one other couple in,having said that it's is under new management and they are establishing themselves which we know will happen.

We went as a group of 3 families and everyone ate really well and enjoyed the meal. Service was friendly and reasonably fast; the only error was an over order of a starter which was given complimentary which was nice. The mains were really good. Lamb chops especially, but all the grilled food was superb. Definitely returning and ordering take out too in 2022.

Just had a really excellent takeaway from Anatolia. We had a mixed kebab (chicken wings / chicken / lamb / lamb kofte) on a bed of fluffy rice. Delicious flatbread and lovely little dressed salad, plus a portion of hummus. Simple and delicious !

Lunch, only ones in. All very nice. Will return to try some more dishes.

I can only agree with others who have posted their excellent reviews of Anatolia. The service, and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming and then there was the food!! This is the best Turkish eating experience myself, my wife and my daughter have had so far. We shall be returning very soon with as many friends as we can. Highly recommended.

I visited Anatolia this week with 5 colleagues.The restaurant has recently had a make-over and they have done an excellent job. More space to sit, another dining area and soon, I understand, a beer/outside patio.The owner was extremely helpful, attentive and described the menu choices perfectly.There is now a wide selection of beautifully cooked and presented Turkish fare.I had lamb shish and chicken kofte - cooked to perfection.My friends were equally impressed with their food.The desserts were just out of this world.Very reasonably priced.Food cooked to order to fresh and hotThoroughly recommended.

Great local takeaway AND restaurant with Mediterranean feel

Haven't been moved to post on trip advisor before, but ate here last night and the food was amazing.

We came here with a few friends and it was absolutely amazing. Incredible service, the owner was the nicest man I ever met and the food was really really fresh, delicious homemade authentic Turkish food. Falafel was a favourite. And how fresh!!

Good food though the Pizza’s felt like frozen ones. The team were very welcoming. The waiting time was too long especially with two very hungry young people.

My first trip to Anatolia and I highly recommend! Lovely outdoor eating area, great food and attentive service. The mezze was very tasty and the mains just as good. This place is a gem which more people should explore.

Decided to order the entire starter menu to share among our party of 4. Everything was delightful and flavoursome, we re-ordered a few of the dishes. Great service too

I visited yesterday and was greeted nicely to my table in the garden area. We ordered our food which arrived in a timely manner, however the food was rather disappointing. We ordered the chicken shish and a vegetarian pizza. The pizza was edible but we found the chicken shish dry and tasteless. We would also recommend avoiding sitting outside in the garden on the benches as there are a lot of flys and the garden isn’t well kept. Tables are also not sanitized in the garden area. Good customer service, overpriced & unfortunately very mediocre food. Do not expect this to be like the other Turkish restaurants around Leicestershire.

At last we can sit inside in a restaurant. Midweek birthday treat at Anatolia. It was good to see Selma, Hasan and Hevin and having them cook and serve us again.

What a perfect, hidden gem in Leicester. First time going on Monday after waiting months and months to be able to go out for some food and drink. Incredibly accommodating and nothing was too much hassle for the staff. Excellent Covid measures in place. Amazing food and fantastic prices. Would highly recommend it. Large garden area out the back which is hidden away!

Amazing service from the owner and I believe daughter - we visited today at 7:30pm and honestly couldn’t fault the food and service. There were a group of 6 next to us who were terribly loud and unapologetic but we would definitely visit again for the food and service! Thank you so much

Great takeaway of hummus with flat bread, spicy prawns, halloumi salad and a large meat feast pizza. A bottle of Turkish efes beer went down nicely with it.

To start off we ordered a takeaway for a treat. The chicken & lamb kebab was fairly tough and we paid almost £12.00 for it. It was quite disappointing as we have Turkish food on a regular basis. This is the first time we have placed an order for a takeout. We also ordered the sea bass fillet which was cooked well but it felt like it was frozen. Mezes couldn’t go wrong it was acceptable. To sum up, the takeaway was priced highly and not up to their standards.

Vibrant atmosphere this evening in Anatolia. Delicious mezze for starters followed by vegetable kebab for me, meatballs and chicken kebab meals for my family. Fresh and tasty as always, great hosting by Hassan.

Great tasting, homemade food and a friendly service

Visited last night with family. We had a lovely dinner. Warm evening so sat outside on the terrace. Starters were amazing, calamari, Turkish sausage, houmous and fried aubergine with yogurt. They were served with delicious warm flat bread. We had the sea bass and lamb shish for our main, both were excellent. Tried the homemade baklava, best I’ve had. All in all thoroughly recommend this restaurant, Food was delicious, staff were very welcoming and friendly and the evening atmosphere was great. Happy customers!

Came in on the dine in help out scheme.The prawn starters were amazing. Mains were good, but the portions for the Lamb Shish was slightly smaller than expected. The pizza was nice.With the 50% scheme it is great value, but it's I think a bit expensive otherwise.Also has gluten free options

Tried on the back of other reviews,Warm welcome on arrival.Food was ok but just average and pricy for portion sizes. have had better tasting at lower priced Turkish food in Leicester.Asked for wine and told red/white no prices, could have been anything .You need a proper drinks menus with prices not just adding £20 bottle onto bill.Sadly won’t be returning, shame as my local Turkish.

Delicious and beautiful food, we have never been disappointed coming here and will certainly be returning sometime soon!

Six of us are together here after meeting up for some good beers in The Classroom, which is only 20 yards of so away. We had reserved beforehand and the table was ready for us when we arrived. Some of our group hadn't eaten here before but the staff took time to explain the different dishes on the menu and the range of a wines and other drinks available. The restaurant has a friendly, casual feel and the staff did all they could to help us enjoy our time there. We each had mains and desserts and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. You could dine for less than the £30+ per head that we paid but others may not drink quite as much red wine as we do. In any event, it was very good value for money.

This is a small cosy restaurant that is clearly a family run business. The food is tasty but the portions for the main are quite small which was disappointing as there was more rice and salad on the plate! Great taste but £13 for a plate of rice salad and 4/5 pieces of meat is a bit steep. Otherwise a pleasant evening!

Well worth a visit, great food and atmosphere in this friendly authentic restaurant. We will be back

Cannot fault this establishment! Hassan and his wife Selma serve the most delicious food.... tasty, well price and so delicious! Their balaclava is to die for, the best I have ever tasted. He also serves the best NZ wine! I honestly couldn’t fault this place and I wish there was an option for an extra star! On a side note we’ve also popped in here to ask for a takeout and Hassan has always been happy for us to do this. Thanks for being a great place to go to in Leicester!!
