Falafel Land in Leicester

Look - I am a falafel wrap fiend. Every time I see a falafel stand I have to try it, but Falafel Land in Leicester is hands down the best one I've ever been to. Doesn't compare to any falafel I've tried in London, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, or Bradford. Every time I'm in Leicester I make a point to visit and grab a wrap. Ridiculously good value for money as well. Falafel Land, I hope you never ever go out of business. You are the greatest

It is the worst place you can go and taste sweets there. It has the name Baba Kunafa and does not serve kunafa. I bought harissa. The price was very low and the taste was like anything except harissa. I took the two types available and the right one did not resemble harissa. It was very old and as if it had been prepared weeks ago and it had hardened and was no longer the same. He should I do not advise anyone to try it compared to shops selling Arabic sweets. The price was five pounds more than the rest of the shops and the taste was not up to 5% of other places.

Place came highly recommended. So dropped in for a Falafel wrap and extra hot chai latte. Did not disappoint. Both were excellent. Wraps made fresh in front of you. Some others were having Manakeesh. Looked really good. Must try next time. Kunafa looked good. Unfortunately only have one stomach so will have to wait.

Great food. Plenty options. Good service. Very reasonable - treated 6 for under fifty quid. Definitely going again soon

I love shawarma and this was my first trial here in Leicester with shawarma and it turned out to be a good experience. I tried both chicken and lamb shawarma. Both are delicious in their own way. I would certainly go back sometime soon.

Falafel was delicious and kunafa too

Some of the best Levantine food I’ve found in the UK. Have eaten here twice and quality of food and service amazing both times. Extremely good value, too.

The food is great, atmosphere is good. However, customer service needs improving from one particular staff member who I think needs more training.

Visited the area and we were looking for something to eat. As we usually try to avoid big chains this was one of the few options available but we love lebanese, Persian and Moroccan food so we didn't mind. Deco is simple but nice. Food was amazing 4 starters and 3 mains shared between us were excellent (not the samosa like dish. The filling was very bland) The chicken was one of the best and most tender chicken we ever ate. The Only downside was the service. Very slow and not attentive. Bare in mind there was only 2 tables in, yet we had to catch the staff attention several times. It could have been a 5 star 🌟.

Really rubbish service from the restaurant, staff very negligent. Had to do everything ourselves, no one came to bring us a menu or to collect our orders. When we collected our own menus we were told someone would come to take our orders but no one came even after 10/15 minutes. Saw staff collecting orders from other tables though so we were ignored for some reason. We asked for some water and were told it would be brought to the table, no water came. Eventually realised water was self serve at the counter however if this is the case why not just tell us it is self serve rather than agreeing to bring us water knowing you won’t? Food took a very long time and was not all brought out together. Guest I was with had almost finished eating before my meal came out 20 minutes later. Restaurants should serve table their meals together, shouldn’t be the case that one of you is watching the other eat for nearly half an hour before your food comes. No staff came to check on us during the meal despite checking on the tables around us. Very bad experience would not return. Food was not worth being made to feel so unwelcome.

The food was so delicious and the people were kind and quick service

My favourite place to enjoy a good meal in Leicester City Centre. The bread is served hot seems freshly made. Recommendations: - Moutabbal - Manakesh cheese or lahm b'3ajin - Farrouj meshwe - Chicken Shawarma Staff very careful and very clean place. In conclusion, If you want to try Lebanese food you definitely have to go.

I love a good falafel and I've been wanted to try from here as reviews were really good. I really enjoyed my falafel wrap, it was delicious. It's a very small place and only a couple of tables so you may have to eat standing or something. It was fresh with sauces so wasn't dry like most, fresh pickles and nicely cooked wrap. I do recommend and will return if im in town and need a snack.

The Man who serves you is Rude beyond a doubt!! I would have ignored it but after charging me £7! For £4.50 falafel! Its an Absolute Scam. I would check 1st before tapping your card. He doesn't answer you properly and acts like he's doing us a favour when we are the paying CUSTOMER!

I've never been a big fan of chicken shawarma or wraps, my go to has always been lamb döner on chips...Until I tried this place on my first visit to the town centre, it's so tasty, perfect combination of sauces on your wrap, now that's our first stop whenever we're in town. Highly recommended.

Absolutely the best food in Leicester. Owner is so lovely and friendly (and often sings when he's cooking!). The food is unbelievably good. If you've never tasted fresh falafel then you must go here. You'll never have that awful supermarket stuff again. The falafel and hummas wraps are all made fresh to order (and pressed in a paninis maker at the end for that lovely wrap texture). One of Leicester's best kept secrets!

Simply put : the tastiest chicken shawarma in Leicester. Fillings were generous and it was juicy and fresh. Dine in is just at the entrance so it’s good for a quick bite but not for a relaxed dining experience. However a must try.

Tried the chicken shawarma wrap first time here today and it was amazing. Highly recommend try this place out. 👌. The guy even sings a song when preparing the food.

Although this place is just a small "hole in the wall", the food is so authentic, tasty and filling. We had chicken shawarma wraps, made by a friendly Lebanese guy, and at £3.50 per wrap I defy you to get anything better in Leicester city centre for the money. Will definitely be returning.

This is the worst customer service in leicester, the guy with the white hair and beard and his bandana is really disrespectful, he refused to take my order and asks me not to insist, shame on him, syrians are people welcoming smiling and respectful I doubt that he is part of it

One of the staff must be polite, when he speaks to me i have no idea if he is rude or angry or jocking, i dont come to this restaurant anymore because of his behavior.

Great food, both falafel and chicken, everything is freshly done. Really kind and happy people working there making the visit a real pleasure! Prices are unbelievably low.

Me and my gf have been here many times and we absolutely love it. It hits the spot every time and the price is unbeatable. The only downside is there’s not much seating, but thats understandable given how low they can keep their prices. If you want delicious authentic homemade falafel this us the place.

My favourite place for lunch in Leicester, never disappoints. You get excellent food cooked fresh, for a very reasonable price. I'd particularly recommend the falafel and hummus wrap!

Very tasty Lebanese shawarmas here! The thoum (garlic paste) put inside the shawarma wrap is so delicious.

Food is lovely here. The 2 Arabic brothers are great at what they do. I always come here if I'm near by and have some change in my pocket. Just wished they took card payments!!

A truly delightful place from which to get food. There is some outdoor seating at this centrally located eatery, but if it's taken the are plenty of other public places in close proximity where one can sit and enjoy some gorgeous flavours. The staff are very cheerful, the food is delicious and the prices are more than reasonable. A scrumptious falafel and halloumi wrap with fries and a drink is a bargain at £5 and will be freshly prepared in approximately 5-6 minutes from the moment the order is taken. There is on occasion a queue, which can mean slight delays in service, but that's only to be anticipated at a place that offers such great value! Highly recommended.

Worst customer service Ever! It is clear that if you are a women anf disabled the owner regards you as a second class citizen since he refused to even try and serve my friend and I until the rest of the queue was gone. I guess we were an inconvenience. I will never buy food from there and would urge others to do the same. Disgusting in this day and age.

Excellent value for freshly made, delicious falafel. Wraps are pillowy, like naan, with a good selection of salad bits and sauces. Kebabs also available although I've never tried them. A little gem of a lunch venue.

AWESOME. I always get the falafel wrap here. It costs £3, and it's freshly cooked for you and incredibly tasty. It's the kind of food that you immediately want to go and buy another of because it's that good. Not because you're hungry! Can not recommended highly enough.

Don't let looks deceive you. This place is on a busy corner in Leicester City centre. Step up to the counter and your are transported to the middle east. I had a falafel and halloumi wrap with plenty of fresh salad and a tasty chilli sauce in a large flatbread. This was folded up and heated panini style - Wow! £3.50

Flafel land in Leicester is the best Flafel I have ever tasted since I arrived to the UK. It is freshly prepared, the portion is generous and very well priced. I definitely recommend the place if you want to try the authentic taste of the Mediterranean Flafel or if you are a middle eastern or an Arab that craves for a taste of home! Last but not least, owner and staff are beyond hospitable and polite Enjoy!

Offers popular middle eastern street food, whether it's falafel or shawarma that you fancy. It's no frills and you are not spoilt for choice but what it is, is a great spot for a grab and go lunch. Wraps are full of flavour.

I've walked by this place a number of times, usually when I've just eaten. This time I was pretty hungry so I grabbed a falafel and hummus wrap. It came jammed full of salad and chili sauce and cost £3.50. I had a bottle of ayran to accompany (£1) which was nice to cool the tastebuds down! An explosion of taste with this authentic Lebanese Street food. Highly recommended.

Honestly could call this place shawarma land, because the shawarma is absolutely amazing and really amazing prices. Was holding off on a review until I got around to trying the falafel, been there quite a few times but find it hard not to order the shawarma. Finally tried the falafel, and have to say it's the best I've had in the UK. For the price the wraps are quite filling, definitely worth trying whether you're looking for a place to get your shawarma/falafel fix, or you're looking to try a bit of Middle Eastern street food for the first time. You'll certainly not regret it.

We wanted a snack on the go. What could we get....a burger, a sandwich, a roll...no nothing seemed very appealing. Then we spotted Falafel Land. Cooked to order the falafel wrap was hands down the best we have ever eaten, seriously good. Sometimes the simplest ingredients makes the best meals. Can’t wait to go back.

Lovely simple eatery. The falafel wrap is £3. And it’s lovely. I’ve got it regularly because it’s filling too. You don’t really need the chips. Bit they’re nice too. It’s also a great way of avoiding Buffet Mania next door. Which you should. Poundland on the other side is a good place to get pudding.
