The best restaurants serving Japanese food in City Centre Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

Was pleasantly surprised with my takeaway order of a salmon roll for my train ride. One of the best I’ve had in Edinburgh and it will now be my favourite takeaway option for my train journeys. Highly recommend!

Didn't think it was an authentic Japanese restaurant but my wife was dying for some Japanese food. It offered several Asian type dishes all with the mixed flavor none traditional or authentic. The food tasted ok, not bad it you weren't expecting much after all it is a large chain. My wife had the yaki udon and I the pad thai both ok. If you are not picky about being authentic.

Had a takeaway Chicken Teriyaki with Sushi rice and tempura prawn. Excellent food that was cooked quickly and tasted delicious. Would recommend

This unassuming restaurant is absolutely incredible - the best Japanese food we have ever tasted at an incredible price. Can’t recommend highly enough.

My partner and I went in without booking for a late dinner while visiting Edinburgh. The staff were happy to let us dine in. The food was wonderful - we went for Sashimi, sushi and a rice dish. It was so tasty and we were blown away. I would go all the way back just to go again!! I cannot fault the restaurant - 10/10!

No more supply of pickled ginger at the table. Didn’t think the range was as good as pre-Covid. Service OK. Atmosphere good, location superb.

This is a hidden gem! Some of the best sushi and ramen I have ever had. The steak ramen was Amazing and I would come back here in a heart beat! The cocktails were also very tasty.
