Maki & Ramen Saint James in Edinburgh, City of

This is a hidden gem! Some of the best sushi and ramen I have ever had. The steak ramen was Amazing and I would come back here in a heart beat! The cocktails were also very tasty.

Great place if you're looking for something casual but with really good ramen and sushi options. Don't be put off by the queue cause they seat people pretty quickly. We came as a group of 6 and didn't have to wait too long. Hell ramen is my go to and the nigiri is delicious, the grilled salmon is a fave. Would love to come back just with my partner and sample more of the the nigiris. Please open one in Aberdeen!

Really enjoyed my dinner here, the food was delicious, had the pork black garlic tonkotsu and some sushi, service was really friendly and efficient will be back really enjoyed it

I went with a friend from overseas for lunch. We were third in the queue, in the front there was a group of 4 and the second in line was a party of 3. We were 2 persons. We could see that inside the restaurant there three 2xperson tables empty.. so i asked the staff whether we could be seated first in the empty tables. I was told to wait for my turn. 25 mins later (after seating the 4 and 3 persons groups) they led us to one of the empty 2xperson tables!!! How ridiculous was that ??? My friend from Asia who is used to efficient service commented that the management needs to be re-trained to respect its customers and use more common sense instead of being so inflexible. As a result i have since boycotted Maki & Ramen (I have in the past spent a lot of money in this place) and have found alternative Japanese/ramen restaurants in Edinburgh.

Came for a pre birthday lunch with family. Staff were very friendly, food came quickly but we weren't rushed out as soon as we had finished. Food was very tasty. Couldn't fault anything.

Sublime Japanese food, the takoyaki and the tonkotsu were exceptionally tasty, staff were pleasant and helpful and chatty, will be back for sure!!
