Food was delicious but the wait times were long. To be fair though the fringe was on and the restaurant was near full.

I had the TNT ramen which was good, but my friends had miso which was bland. The food all came at different times about 5 minutes apart. There weren't enough members of staff and the menu was too big for them to be able to deliver on everything. Tables were left uncleared as they struggled to keep up in the kitchen.

Food was okay, the most disappointing thing on my visit was that they do not communicate changes to their recipes I ordered a vegan jigae specifically because on all their menus it said it has mushrooms and potatoes. When I got the food half an hour later, neither mushrooms or potatoes were in the dish. When I asked them about it, they just said they don’t put it in the recipe anymore. So my biggest feedback to them is to update their menu if they are going to change things. Don’t leave your customers thoroughly disappointed —especially when we have to pay first before we get our meal.

I absolutely love the food here. Really fresh, and tasty. Informal place, the food comes when it's ready, in whatever order it's ready. Thank you for our delicious lunch today. Kids loved the gyozos, I had a kimchi tofu bowl that comes on a hot plate still bubbling. My favourite, the rice sushi type things (forgot what they're called) are great too, I had the monk one. Tried chrysanthemum tea for the first time, was pleasant. I hope to return again +++++++

Tuna bibimbap was absolutely banging!! Dad had a teriyaki ramen which he really enjoyed. Deffo can recommend.

Ramen is salty water with noodles. Very poor, expensive and not good. And the dumplings were served cold. Money wasted.

Best casual dining / cafe with a good mix of dishes to suit throughout the day - really handy for study groups and large refinery tables for collaboration…free wifi too!

If you want to eat the worst ramen in Edinburgh, you can go here, noodles with water and maybe some Chinese soup seasoning, it's a tragedy, I don't recommend it, it's a failure, the food is disgusting and expensive 😡🥵🤮

Gyoza was fine, but the ramen was flavourless and had tough meat

Love the food and the vibe! The Korean bibimbap is excellent! Get a free cake when you get a coffee, that’s a great bonus!

I love this place and have been back many times. I like the calm, laid back atmosphere and there's a nice range of teas. Friendly staff and tasty food.

Hong Kong Staff!! Yay!! Good interior design but me and my friend really did not appreciate the Hard Bass EDM music - it completely ruins the cafe vibes 😭

I was there three years ago and I will return

Was here for dinner solo on a weekday evening. It not a small place, cosy, was almost empty (Google indicated it's usually busier). Tried the vegan version of their ramen. The individual tofu pieces was well made and really stood out, but the rest of the dish was in complete contrast - it was just packet noodles with chopped vegetables in a miso-like base that one could make at home. Also tried their take on the egg tart which had a shortbread crust. Together with the core, it just wasn't something to my taste but it probably has its own audience, particularly people who've never had one before. Might come back eventually to try something else on the menu.

Absolutely love this place. Perfect for a short stop off for coffee with a free cake!!! Lots of food options which are delicious. The staff are so friendly and accommodating.

Convinient location being quite close to the University of Edinburgh. The food personally isn't my favourite and it's on the more expensive side, but the portion was good anyway. I think the meal I had was called Hong Kong style braised pork with noodles. I'll come back for coffee and cake another time. I like how they do the free cake if you order a hot drink.

Absolutely Unbeatable. The place is super clean, always playing nice music at the right volume. Food is incredible with a great selection, a little expensive but it's so good that you just want to keep coming back. My favourite place in Edinburgh.

Lovely food - I had a great bibimbap and gyozas on the side. It was cooked fresh so took a little while to arrive but it was well worth the wait. Really tasty, good portion size and the staff were all friendly. Felt slightly pricey for a single bowl of food, but I would likely still return.

What a joke go across to tesco and bye your self some egg nodels and by some ready cooked pork with a sauce. I paid 11 pound for 6 thin sliced pork and the sauce what sauce the whole thing was microwaved warmed, noodels where dry. ill never go back to this place and ill tell people this is over priced waste of time money

I got the worst beef ramen I've ever eaten The broth was plain water flavourless Beef was dry and stiff Egg was missing completely Was served with a side of Edamame beans that were hard to chew

A nice looking restaurant with room during the Fringe, sadly let down by a ramen with no flavour. Noodles and broth tasted of nothing, the beef was fine texture wise but also lacked seasoning, making for an overall underwhelming and bland meal. The vegetables were the only real flavour, but the lack of spice or onion meant the whole dish lacked in flavour depth. My partner liked their dishes more, but also wasn't blown away by the food. With so many great restaurants around the area selling ramen and noodle dishes, I'd recommend going elsewhere. Other dishes may be good, but the ramen was one of the worst I've ever had.

I've been coming here constantly for years. The atmosphere is relaxed the staff are lovely and the chicken curry noodle is one of the best things I've ever eaten, I love this place and every friend/family/date I've ever brought loves it too

Loved the food, i had a rice cheese dish with seafood, partner had it with duck….sizzling hot and totally tasty. Free water for the table, clean if basic decor. Perfect for lunch or quick dinner.

Decor was brilliant but very odd to have to order at the bar and then take a seat. Wasn't a huge selection to choose from but what was ordered definately worked for me. The noodles were cooked to perfection although I would say the the broth worked well with it too. Only think I found odd was a side of raw string beans which kept catching on my throat. I did add to the broth for wasn't hot enough to cook so wasn't any different. Amazing place for a lunch but for an evening meal not so sure. Will try again

The restaurant seemed to have been taken over by different management. The door was propped open. The bathroom was secured with a padlock. The staff handed us clipboards and told us to disregard the menus on the walls. We gamely ordered food which took forever and was terrible. The staff apologized profusely to us and to the other patron, who had picked out seemingly every chunk of questionable -looking beef from her bibimbap and placed them in a little row on her tray. I felt duped by this place and am kicking myself for not asking for our money back.

The food is not good. The buns were not soft, the meat was dry and tasteless, the ramen was tasteless. Such a shame because the place is nice and cool. We were really expeea good meal and it was highly disappointing.

Good for quick tea. You might also get a free pastry with the hot drink. I wouldn't go again because 1) they have tea from teabags, not loose leaf 2) very limited vegetarian options and everything has Tofu!

Nice place, nice decor. Tasty coffee and the food was equally as nice :) Slice of cake came on a paper plate which docks one star but honestly I'm just being picky haha x

Food was lazy. Noodles were completely plain, no ginger or garlic or anything. Not worth the price. The star is for the good service.

The opening time is not correct, we arrive around 1030am on Monday. Not open. I tried to call a day before and it said the phone is not registered.

Amazing food at pretty decent prices! My partner and I ate here for the first time and it was excellent, good service and the miso soup was beautiful!

Food was so flavourful and perfectly cooked for a great price!! The atmosphere as a whole was very chilled, they were even giving out a free slice of cake with each coffee.

Visiting since 2017 the prices are a bit high but still a good place.

Friendly staff and great tasting food.

The tables were dirty and sticky. The teriyaki pork looked like instant noodles with a few pieces of meat and very very little sauce. No vegetables, no toppings.

Don't get the pork teriyaki. It's just watery parboiled rice with some pieces of bad tasting pork and some sweet sauce poured on top

DO NOT GET THE SPCIY BEAN TOFU - quite frankly this meal deserved 1 star and I would have gave it that if it wasn't for the nice staff and previous positive experiences. Spicy Bean tofu was truly unpleasant, with a goopy peppery sauce, with some veg and tiny pieces of tofu, poured over mounds of generic noodles - while the portion was large so was the price tag at £9 and I instantly regretted my purchase. I tried to improve it with the sauces provided for free but to no avail, I even took the vast majority of it away in a doggy bag in the hope that I might like it later but the thought of eating any more was so unpleasant I threw it all in the bin, which I normally hate to do with food.

The food was awful noodles just tasted wet and the tofu was disgusting. The service is lovely tho staff are very friendly shame about the food

Little bit pricey but delicious

We stumbled upon this place as we were heading to the airport to go home, not fancying anything too filling having eaten well for lunch we thought why not. The lady serving us was very patient as we were umming and arring over what to have, we then took a seat and it arrived quickly and was just what we needed, nothing too filling but very tasty at a decent price. No hesitation in recommending eating here

A small cafe with good quality food. The sushirrito (think sushi, but burrito sized) is particularly tasty. They also do rice and noodle dishes, as well as just tea/coffee (with a free spins of cake)

Really tasty authentic Korean food, and very friendly staff. I had the beef bibimbap, which was delicious. The layout and decor is nice, and it's a pretty relaxed place to eat or go for a coffee. The free slice of cake is a nice touch!

This is such a cozy place. They are very nice and the coffee is not expensive taking into account that they give you a piece of cake. It's a must 🥰

Took very long before someone actually appeared. The waiter was confused with the menu and did not know the names of dishes. The sweet sauce ribs were so sweet and hard they were unedible. The only time in my life I haven't finished my dish in a restaurant.

Grt food! Quite pricey but the friendliest staff and always have free cakes with coffee! Brill if u wanna try something new

My girlfriend and I have been here so many times. The lady who runs the place is so nice and welcoming, we love to work here while sipping on a cappuccino or jasmine tea. Super fast wifi!

Had a fabulous lunch on Saturday.. Really tasty and met all our family foibles. Good distancing between tables and excellent hygiene measures. However, no contact tracing details taken so sadly, wouldn't make a return visit. Would definitely beenn 4 or 5 stars otherwise.

Had my first bibimbap here and it was really great (actually i have nothing to compare with, but still great!). We were very welcome, the atmosphere is quiet and soothing, the staff is nice. What a good experience

We’d called in for a quick lunch. The place only had 2 others in it, which is a shame. Given the current virus pandemic a lot of Asian outlets are suffering, but deserve our support. We shared a couple of plates of pork & chicken gyoza’s. Ginger cake was complimentary with the lovely Jasmine tea. The menu is varied, in that alongside the Gyoza’s they have freshly made sushi, hot noodle and rice dishes. The meal came in at a reasonable £13 for two. I will be back during the Fringe.

Amazing food. Really big ramen portions which is brilliant! A bit expensive for me, but I guess the portion size makes it that price. So, I won't be going often but I would if I could.

Had beef ramen and pork dumplings. The beef was old and chewy while the broth tasted like water. I eat most things but didn’t eat this.

Gyoza were great but really disappointing Bao, nothing Asian tasting about them. Had better from street food vendors at the festival.

Went here for lunch and had a sriracha beef noodle bowl. Everything was fresh and served quickly. The staff were also helpful explaining anything we didn't understand. The place was fairly quiet looking out onto the busy street. Would love to go again and try some more of their menu.

The main meals we had here were actually all very good. I'd probably skip the gyoza though.

Great Asian-Street inspired restaurant! Always a great place to pop in for a cup of tea, cake, and people watching.

Great place in general to come. Usually I just get a coffee (and complimentary cake, free of charge) but occasionally get dinner. Which unfortunately leaves something to be desired for vegetarians. In general though I can look past this due to their great choice of radio station, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Perfect place to come to work/study.

Just had the chilli prawn rice bowl which comes with miso soup and edamane beans and it was thoroughly delicious, good portion size and the staff are lovely.
