The best restaurants in City Centre Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

This is the only patisserie in Edinburgh that I really like ! All the cakes are fabulous, both the owners of the place are friendly and professional, the shop is spotless and I can't really find anything negative! I really recommend this place if you want delicious cakes!!!

Fantastic authentic tasting food. Best onion bhaji we have ever had and the lamb in the Karahi curry was so tender! All round great meal & service! BYOB, another bonus & amazing value for money! Will be returning for sure and highly recommend!

If there is a finer sandwich out there I have yet to meet it. Really fresh ingredients and authentic Vietnamese tastes.

I am not usually a dessert person but honestly.. I tried eclair with nutella and it was absolutely 10/10!! The owners were so sweet and even gave me awesome tips about the city! Definitely will go back whenever I crave something sweet xx

This was not our first visit to Amalfino but once again we were treated to an outstanding meal. From tomato tartare for the amuse bouche, throughout all the menu choices our party of 6 made the food was prepared with great skill, care and attention to detail and was delicious. The attentive, friendly service and ambient location added to the enjoyment of our evening. We will definitely be back soon.

This spot was amazing. Very friendly staff and heaps of tasty food. Its one of the best money can buy. The breakfast was simply outstanding and the cakes were something to day for. 10/10

Greek lovers, we visited as a party of 6. Lovely welcome, beautiful decor, nice touches when the chef (Kostas) came over to say hello, wish me happy birthday and explain his philosophy for Kuzina. Nice touch, toasted bread with Cretan salt and olive oil. A big selection of wines, from reasonable up. Small menu, but that’s a good thing as it usually means everything is fresh - it is. Starters were good, grilled, charred artichokes with grated cheese and almond paste especially good. The spanakopita tartlet was on the small side, even for a starter. Excellent service, main giouvetsi was de-constructed, lovely large tasty lamb and gravy, but ordinary rice rather than orzo. Cod was beautifully cooked on a bed of spinach, but the very tasty meatballs could’ve done with rice or pasta, even garlic bread as the portion was small and pricey. A birthday candle in my dessert, nice touch. Lots to enjoy, just a few tweaks to the menu and portions would make this even better. Gia mmas and Exaristo poli!

Always stop here when in Morningside, coffee is beautiful with a smiley face on the lid! Really nice staff too . Well worth stopping at!

Precioso y acogedor café con la comida fresca, nutritiva y sabrosa más increíble. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita. Nunca había probado la comida de África Oriental antes, el personal era muy paciente en ayudarme a elegir y la comida salió muy rápido, caliente y delicioso.

I enjoyed an excellent cup of coffee and some original saffron cake at the Razz Cafe. The service was very friendly and there is a great selection of cakes and pastries

I almost want to gatekeep this place but it wouldn’t be fair! It is so delicious, reasonably priced and the staff are lovely. Highly recommended.

Easily the coziest and comfiest cafe in Auld Reekie. The vibes are lovely, the staff are friendly, and the coffee is superb - highly recommend the Guatemalan cold brew. I’ve spent a couple of study sessions here and I wouldn’t go anywhere else now in Edinburgh. 10/10.

The food is great there. Next time I go to Edinburgh definitely I will go there. I wounded if they have instagram account.
