The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Central Sheffield Yorkshire and The Humber

A brilliant evening - the food was wonderful and the chef/owner was excellent.

Came here as I’m already a fan of there sushi from their takeaway. It’s a little tricky to find as they share the building with another restaurant, and occupy the lower floor, so you have to walk down the stairs if you’ve entered the top entrance, otherwise they have a back entrance direct into their venue. We were very impressed with the service, presentation and range of delicious Japanese food. The Tapas menu was a winner with my wife who got to try a few different things, while for myself, the char siu ramen very tasty and extremely moorish. All in all, can’t wait to return!

Roku es sin duda el mejor restaurante japonés en Sheffield. Mi amigo ama este lugar y conoce bien al personal. El chef Tomo y su personal son amables; siempre tratan de acomodar cualquier solicitud. El ambiente es fantástico, relajado y sereno.

Shambles! Don’t order takeaway from here… waited 2 hours for my order and it never turned up. Phone line disconnected so can’t contact them. They apparently use their own drivers so tracking is unavailable. So now after 2 hours having to make other food arrangements! Seriously don’t bother worst experience ever

Good hot food, convenient for takeaway or a quick meal. Reliable and good value. Don’t get their tuna sashimi though that was bad.

Unfortunately something from the restaurant upset my stomach. So I was up all night. I am sure it was bad luck. Some food of the description are wrong. The picture and what I got look different and I know it should look like in the picture since my family have travelled to Japan for 2 months before. If it was not for possible food poisoning I will give 3 stars. Then as well too dark cannot see what you are eating and music too loud.

We had a last minute dinner for my son’s 12th birthday. Great food with excellent presentation (especially the moving escalator for food!), kind staff and lovely environment. Thank you 🙏

Una cosa de última hora en el lunes festivo, tratamos de entrar en Guyushi en, a continuación, el colectivo callejero Cavendish que estaban ocupados y les apetecía algo de comida asiática, así que le dio una oportunidad. Había solo unos pocos asientos disponibles alrededor de la barra giratoria de sushi, así que nos sentamos allí, que estaba bien. El servicio fue rápido y amable, un montón de opciones en el menú, la comida era deliciosa y dan porciones extremadamente generosas, definitivamente nos pasamos cuando pedimos, 3 entrantes y un plato principal cada uno junto con unos cuantos tazones de sushi, el entrante de Teriaki de ternera era increíble, sin embargo, con un tazón de arroz sin duda sería suficiente como plato principal. Sin duda volveremos.

Picture says it all . While waiting outside , staff unpacked a fridge and left all the boxing and trash literally at the door of the restaurant. I’m afraid if the kitchen has the same standards I’m not going .

Great atmosphere brilliant DJ. Food was amazing highly recommended the lamb chops. Service was excellent. Really impressed..

Normally love teppanyaki but last night had the saddest, least flavoursome example of this type of food. The moment we arrived we were rushed to the table despite the fact that we were not late. The food did not look or taste fresh, garlic was not cooked through , eating raw garlic is unpleasant. Everything fish or crustaceans related was covered in an unflavoured yellow mayonnaise. Dessert was the usual for Sheffield pancake with vanilla ice cream but this time limited fruit on the plate, no flamed alcohol just dollops of cheap bottled chocolate sauce or cheap bottled syrup. There was no attempt at a show and our cook didn’t have the courtesy to finish his own service. Shame on you ! All of this for £178.00, surely there must be better out there.
