The best restaurants serving Italian food in Cardiff South Wales

Small authentic Italian restaurant. Good service and atmosphere, you could be in Italy. Starters were excellent, although the portion size was too big. Sea food Linguini was nice, Wild Boar Ravioli looked wonderful, but unfortunately, the sauce was gloppy. The T bone steak was well cooked (medium) with good charring. But a strange selection of vegetables on the side, carrots and cauliflower, chip and roast potatoes. Mediterranean vegetables, peppers, onion, and only chips would have been better. Again, the sauce was gloppy. Tiramisu and Cannoli Siciliani were excellent.

Phoned late in the week and they were so kind fitting us in,it was for a 60th birthday,food was amazing as always,staff make you feel so welcome,only complaint is you can only give 5 stars I would give 100

It is lovely here. Yes, it's on Cathays Terrace which is far from scenic but the service and the food are magnifico👌

This pizza is fantastic - had the pepperoni and it was really good. The dough was really nice and both light and crisp. Great for a lunch pizza and worth every penny. Seating not the best but other than that 🙏👏🏼🤟🏼🤌🏼👌🏼✌🏼🫶🏼

¡Qué hallazgo! Maravilloso silician deli y café. Deliciosa pizza, increíbles pudines y un servicio realmente encantador. Vinimos antes de un partido de rugby, y nos encantó.

The wines were ok but the service was not good. Serving wine in plastic Glasses in the Wine bar doesn't make sense.

Cannot recommend this place more!! The food was delicious but the service was what made the experience so memorable. Every waiter was so lovely, helpful and attentive which makes such a difference! We had the burrata and Bolognese arancini which were both fab. The calzone was massive, had the perfect amount of filling and the dough was great too. The homemade pasta was the star. Definitely worth visiting asap!

Got a Margarita and Ravioli, both tasted amazing and very authentic Italian flavors. The waiters were very kind and approachable.

I came for brunch with a friend. It wasn't as busy as other local cafes, however, the food and drinks were lovely. The prices felt competitive when checking out the other menus nearby too, considering it had a more upmarket feel and hot food compared to some of the other options. The staff were both friendly, my friend's latte was missed off the bill, when I pointed this out the manager was kind enough to say it was on them. Excellent customer service. Would recommend food and service. They have a small courtyard upstairs which I can imagine would be enjoyable on a sunny day.

Wow, what a miserable lot working in this establishment. Arrived at the restaurant and was not greeted with any welcome or smile. Food was preordered earlier in the week, so they already knew what we wanted. Waitresses were quite ignorant and miserable and ignored several requests by our party for some drinks. Members of the family have been regular customers of this restaurant for many years, and this was the first time this treatment had been given. We felt that we were just in their way, and they couldn't wait for us to leave. Upon paying the bill, everyone paid what they owed separately, but we had one couple accused of not paying and demanded they show the receipt, which they did but no apology was given by the waitresses for their mistake. This particular couple were known to the restaurant as they had been there several times already on their own. Food quality was excellent, but customer service should be exceptional, and here it was not. Just to point out, our party of 12 spent over £400 here. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Absolutely exceptional food. Having previously eaten at the Bath based location, they recommended I visit their Cardiff location. And yes, it definitely did not disappoint. Garlic Butter Doughballs and a Margherita Pizza.... Absolutely delicious. My only sadness, is that there's no Exeter Location haha. Best Pizza going 😎👌🍕
