We came all the way from Germany to visit this beautiful city – and most importantly, this amazing restaurant with its absolutely delicious seafood. Everything we had was fresh, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour – dishes that truly took us on a journey and brought back lovely memories. The main reason we came was to see our good friend Christos. Without him, we’d never have discovered this fantastic place. It’s a spot where flavour, quality, and genuine hospitality come together in the best way.

After attending a Royal Academy of Culinary Arts Meeting/Lunch at The Balmoral Hotel, visited "Salerno Pizza" on Monday night with a couple of Italian Friends from Basilicata, (who had suggested this place). The Pizzas arrived in super-quick time and the quality was much better than I ever expected and excellent value. Also, the young Lady that looked after us, she was charming and efficient. PS. Was surprised at your extremely restricted Wine List!

Very good food. Food was super tasty. Staff was super nice. Top restaurant.

De bediening was zeer vriendelijk.We hadden vooraf de caprese met heerlijke mozzarella en de bruscetta pomodoro. De spagetti met zeevruchten,de pizza vesuvio en de pinot griggio was top! Heel mooi en stijvol ingericht

Lovely little place just off The High Street. Staff were lovely and helpful, food was delicious and the decor and atmosphere was pretty cool. Decent prices for this part of Edinburgh too. Would definitely return

We had lunch this afternoon with a quiche, salad, and dessert. The menu is in French. Quickly served, well presented, good.

This restaurant has a lovely cosy, authentic, Italian feel with reasonably priced classics on the menu. The pizza that I ordered was delicious and fantastic value. The service was efficient and friendly too without being overbearing and I will definitely be returning next time. I am in Edinburgh!

We had a nice time at Taste of Italy. The pasta with meatballs and tomato sauce were good, the portion are generous, it feels like home. The pizza was delicious. The waiters are nice and welcoming. We would recommend and would go again if it wasn't our last day in the city!

Si alguna vez te has preguntado cómo es cenar en una discoteca que olvidó que ya no estamos en 2007, este lugar te tiene cubierto. El ambiente es oscuro, apretado y más adecuado para cócteles caros y pesar que la comida real. Aparentemente hay una terraza, probablemente encantadora en verano, pero a menos que tengas la suerte de sentarte allí, prepárate para comer tus tiras de pollo en un armario de escoba glorificado con una bola de discoteca. Hablemos de bebidas. Pedí una cerveza local, que llegó en su lata original, como si eso fuera parte de la experiencia. Sabía a pish — y no del tipo de jerga escocesa. El gin tonic de mi esposa fue rociado teatralmente con “el aroma a limón” en la mesa en lugar de, ya sabes, usar solo un limón real. ¿El resultado? Una bebida que sabía a pato de baño, servida con toda la sutileza de un comercial de productos de limpieza. ¿La comida? Bocadillos de bar fingiendo ser una buena comida. Mi “barriga de cerdo” estaba más cerca de un ombligo de cerdo, un bulto pequeño y triste coronado con un rascado de cerdo pretencioso que hacía poco por distraerse de la porción abrumadora. Los muslos de pollo de mi esposa eran realmente solo tiras de pollo disfrazadas de ilusión. Nos hubiéramos ido en el momento en que nos sentamos, pero lamentablemente ya habíamos pagado un depósito en la mesa, el equivalente en el restaurante de ser rehén de su propio optimismo. En resumen: estilo sobre sustancia, e incluso el estilo es cuestionable. Evite a menos que le guste la iluminación tenue, los alimentos decepcionantes y las bebidas que huelen a artículos de limpieza.

The food was good but a little expensive. However, the atmosphere was very upscale and the staff were very attentive.
