The service was extremely fast, I got my pizza in a very good time! It was delicious too, and the cheese was super stringy!! I didn’t quite like the garlic bread, (it had cheese on it) but it might’ve just been me. The only negative thing I’d say is that the tables are quite close together, but that wasn’t too bad, and overall, the experience was extremely positive!

Great food. Very professional service. Frendly and smile staff and really really good atmosphere. Im not surprised that they are always busy 👍 Highly recommended 👌

Very rude waiter, unpleasant tone, (tattoos). The pizza has very minimal amount of sauce( eating very very thin layer of the dough itself)& toppings as well, so we had to order more toppings so we can eat at least what’s called a pizza. The 10% tip is mandatory for this horrible service!!!

The menu is very simple, the prices are very reasonable for a city center. The servers are very friendly and efficient. My pizza was served to me in less than 5 minutes! 3-4 minutes I think. I have never had a fresh pizza so quickly. If you want a quick pizza, this is the place to come.

Do you want to eat an excellent Italian pizza in Edinburgh? this is the right place! and the price is really great! Exceptional Italian staff and especially Davide. My next trip already has a pre-established destination, Salerno Pizza!

Pizza was soggy to much tomatoes cheese was thick and greasy to much olive oil crust left a lot to be desired won’t take a chance in there again I like to decide if a service charge is appropriate or not but you don’t get to decide they automatically add it just hope that it goes to the staff and not the greedy owners

Their staff are very impolite and they throw out bill on the table and i can not found their manager to say him

The food was good enough for a fast food place and the gluten free base was nice although I do begrudge paying an extra £3 for it because of dietary restrictions beyond my control. My main issue was with the service charge when we visited. When we had the bill, I said we didn't want to pay the service charge which we are well within our rights to do because it is discretionary. The staff member's attitude changed completely. He snatched the bill out of my hand, stormed off, got it removed, came back and dumped it on the table (he almost threw it that's how forceful it was) then left to nicely and politely serve customers who he obviously believed would pay the service charge. When he came back to us, he barely spoke. This is the sort of conduct I would expect from a child, not a fully grown adult whose entire behaviour just solidified the fact that we were right to decline to pay the service charge. We won't be going back because I refuse to be treated in such a manner by anyone, especially when I haven't actually done anything wrong.

Pizza was amazing and the staff were great with our little one. Definitely recommend.

We had a great family evening at Salerno Pizza. Our pizzas were tasty and juicy with the right amount of tomato sauce and toppings. I definitely recommend it for the friendly atmosphere and the quality of the ingredients. Thanks to the staff !!!

Wish I could rat higher but it wasn't overly busy and we had to ask for things several times over to be given a dirty glass and also not enough cutlery or napkins for the whole table!

I visited this pizzeria based on a friend's recommendation, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The true star of the evening was the pizza chef Mauro, who, with his skill and passion, prepared one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. Every bite was an explosion of flavors: the dough was perfectly leavened, soft yet crispy, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh and high quality. Mauro managed to create a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, bringing to the table a pizza that tells a story of love for cooking. I can't wait to return and enjoy his creations again. I highly recommend everyone to give this place a try

As Italians, my wife and I had a good time. Davide a boy from Naples was very kind to us. The oil that accompanies the focaccia is young but good, it is Spanish but this does not change the opinion. In the appetizers we liked the focaccia which we accompanied with a trio of cured meats.

I came solo, and tables were available, but the host kept giving the tables to groups of 2 saying that no tables were available for me. When I asked further, host said I had to order, eat, and leave within 20 minutes. Understandable during busy hours, but not right to lie saying no tables were available.

Had dinner with my family, food was delicious, service was excellent. Friendly atmosphere, will definitely go back.

Had a great experience tonight in Salerno, been here a few times and as always i was very impressed by the service and quality of the food, can’t wait to come back.

The pizza dough is fine. But they come with just a few ingredients. (I asked for extra mushrooms and there were 2 pieces on the entire pizza) +2.60. Hallucinatory. Excessively loud music to make you eat in a hurry. Impossible to have a conversation. I won't come back.

Delicious pizza, delicious ice cream. But we came as a family of five and the large table was only on the aisle. You don't feel very comfortable. I would like to sit near the window or on the sofas, but there wasn’t such a large table there.

Salerno Pizza offers an average dining experience. The pizza is okay—nothing particularly memorable, but it does the job if you’re craving a quick bite. The crust was a bit underwhelming, and the toppings were decent, though not exceptional. As for the service, it was also just okay. The staff were polite but not particularly attentive or friendly. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re in the area and need a quick meal, but don’t expect anything extraordinary.

Me and my daughters visited Edinburgh for the first time. We came across this hidden gem while strolling along shopping centre and decided to give it a go, and what can I say - WOW, staff friendly, pizza's tasting amazing and I couldn't believe how not expensive it was! What I also loved about it that it's run by a family, which is rare nowadays. We would definitely be coming back once in Edinburgh again. Thank you xx.

For a restaurant that looks like a chain restaurant, this exceeded our expectations: all the staff are Italian, the owners the Italian, and the Pizza is very obviously Italian made. Service was fantastic - very welcoming, quick service, no complaints at all. We had the Spianata spicy pizza & the carbonara pizza - both were insanely delicious, we actually think we preferred the carbonara pizza over the other. Would absolutely recommend and return again next year for another pre-marathon carb loading meal. Thank you!

Fantastic food and authentic pizza in the heart of Edinburgh. The decor and ambience of the place is also very warm and welcoming. We were a large group of 20 people and we booked online. They set everything up very nicely. The staff were super especially Annaliese who managed everything to perfection for us. I would highly recommend this place.

Pizza was brilliant. Staff were very accommodating for an unexpected big group of us.

We ended up here yesterday for a spot of lunch and it was really good. The menu is basic and is purely Pizza, this is a great thing because it means the Pizzas are brilliant. The Pizzas cane freshly made and were a good size, we also got a side of Foccacia and this was hot and had a nice oil dip at the side. We were £38 in total for two Pizzas, foccacia and two drinks which is good value for the portion size and location.

We visited Salerno just in lunch time. Best pizza and best service for us. Pizza was ready in 5 minutes. Expect return your table in one hour time when it’s busy.

Very fine pizzas. Service almost too fast. Little time to eat a starter and the pizza is here. Buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes, served in a somewhat unusual way.

Came to this place after the Gordon Burger crew ignored my family, awesome food and super fast/friendly staff. Carbonara pizza was so good and the sides - strongly recommend the garlic bread and the focaccia - good price and wine as well, great for families :)

Focaccia was obviously frozen, pizza looked good until I picked it up and it turned into the Niagara Falls when all the toppings slipped off. Bland and felt unwelcome by the manager. Much much better places in Edinburgh like Matto.

The best Neapolitan pizza in Edinburgh. The order came very quickly, the waiter Daniele introduced us to the ingredients. I also ordered a cocktail, on his recommendation, Limoncelo Spritz which is extraordinary. I will definitely come back. Thank you Salerno and Daniele.

True Italian pizzeria. It would be amongst the good ones even in Italy. Great if you're vegan too!

First time going to this restaurant and we absolutely loved it. The service was lovely and fast and the pizzas were incredible, the portion sizes were great for the price. The whole place looked clean and well decorated and the bathrooms were spotless.

This is the only pizza I tried in Rome so I can’t compare it to anything locally. The pizza was very doughy and thick, the sauce was fine and so was the cheese, but overall it was too heavy, it was a little airy which raises it from a 2 star to 3 star, also bonus point for having halal pepperoni. The service was okay but the toilets smelled horrible, finally the vibe of the dining area was vibrate.

Staggered in here as a random option with two starving kids and very glad we did. Pizzas were delicious, reasonably priced, came really quickly, staff were very attentive and on the ball. Great end to an exhausting rainy day.

Our pizza were served give or take in 5 minutes after they had our order even though they were crowded. I ordered number 7 ( I can’t remember the name of pizza). It was tasty.

Really nice restaurant with relatively cheap pizza for its taste and size. Aroune £12 but it’s pretty big, and if you pick a good one you’ll really enjoy it. If you don’t like ur first one I wouldn’t say to dismiss it but just try another one! Also the vinegar dip was so good 🥰. Staff is really friendly and also you can easily get a takeaway box :).

I went to this restaurant 6 months ago and the food was we ordered the same two pizza's orders last time and the pizza's were ready in less than 5 mins and at our table only to see they had a soggy base in and around the middle, the other pizza the vegetables were no cooked on top at all, and instead of being scattered all over piled in a couple of places. When mentioned to the staff advised to choose a different pizza as the pizza with buffalo chess i was told will always be soggy. So this time something has definitely changed. Not a good experience don't think we will be going back.

I went with my family for lunch, I was very happy. We have a small child, the dining room staff was very friendly, nice and helpful. The service was impeccable. The pizza is excellent but above all super light and digestible, I would recommend it to anyone because as well as being excellent they have a choice for every need, both gluten-free and vegan with prices accessible to everyone 😍

We have visited few times in the past and pizzas are simply different and delicious however on the last visit one of us found 3 pieces of hair on the plate not on the pizza, so disappointed, did the staff not check the plate before putting pizza? We recommend this place to our friends for first time too.

Quiet when we went but our server Siang was excellent and the pizza was great! Prices were okay and I was happy to tip. Very good for closing out a day of shopping!
