First visit to the restaurant and was pleased with our experience. Good food and service by friendly waitress Kaz was much appreciated

Great to be back at Vittoria on The Walk and experience the refurbished and reorganised restaurant. Food is as good as it always was, great prompt service, and an excellent warm welcome and service from Elide. We will be back. 😀

Excellent meal and great service and atmosphere

The food and service were excellent. I was expecting a traditional trattoria but the place had been refurbished so it was very bright, fresh and clean, which was also nice. It felt authentically Italian.

Excellent! This was the best pasta penne I’ve ever had - generous portions and piping hot throughout - Leo was incredibly helpful as I asked about certain ingredients - we booked to go again two days later. I would highly recommend Vittoria - we were at the 3 Brunswick Place - thank you Elide for fitting us in on a busy Friday evening !

The food was very nice! I got the Lasagna, and it’s never wrong!

Little bit of Italy in Edinburgh. Food is absolutely authentic and staff only amplify the family friendly Italian atmosphere. Right beside Mcdonald street tram stop this is the best Italiam restauI have visited in Edinburgh so far.

Stylish interior and really great Italian food. The pizza was the best we’ve had so far. Thin and tasty crust, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Definitely recommend!

Food was very nice and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Staff member Kaz was lovely and very engaging. Only a short walk from Playhouse and Princes Street and prices were reasonable. Recommended for pre theatre

Ate here today, nicely decorated inside. We had minestrone, fried courgettes, lasagne and pizza. The fried courgettes were really good, the pizza was okay. Service was very good

First time at Vittoria, the atmosphere was great and our server (I unfortunately did not catch his name) was lovely and made sure we were enjoying every course. King Prawns were delicious and the sauce they use for the spaghetti&meatball dish was amazing. Would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an affordable italian meal in Edinburgh.

We just had dinner here tonight. Very authentic and delicious Italian food. Every dish we ordered was yummy. We had the chicken Cesar, Bolognese, Ravioli Leandro and calamari. Prepare to perfection. Their fresh bread is so good. The service and atmosphere is wonderful.

FOOD POISONING FROM THIS RESTAURANT. (Leaving 1 star as can’t leave none) Visited this restaurant on 07/10/24 ordered the following; GARLIC BREAD & MOZZARELLA £6.45 Grilled garlic bread topped with mozzarella. PENNE DELLO CHEF £14.95 Penne pasta with chicken & smoked salmon, in a creamy tomato sauce with a touch of chilli & rocket leaves Had a severe case of food poisoning. Was sick a total of 13 times and had to take two days off work. Have reported this issue to the restaurant and food standards agency. Please be careful if eating here.

Food and service first class!!!!!

The staff were wonderful, nice décor, it had a informal vibe. The menu wasn't great, less Italy and more Italy chiller section at the supermarket. Mushroom risotto, creamy chicken, creamy pesto, classic Italian with burgers and fish and chips not much seafood. We didn't fancy much. I got the lasagna that tasted really nice so they must have a good chef. The ice cream was fab!

Loved this place! People and food were both great. I was dining alone which can feel awkward in the evening, but not here - everyone is obviously looked after well in this family business, whatever their group size. Highly recommended :-)

Walked in on a fully booked night, concierge was very friendly and accommodating. Made a plan for us, and we had amazing meals. Recommend the Pistachio and chocolate ice cream with Nutella.

Amazing restaurant! Booked this restaurant because of other reviews and would happily drive 350 miles back! Our main waiter was James and he was fantastic with making sure everything was OK for us and telling me about the restaurant. Food was fantastic and the best I have had out in a long time. Especially for the price. Thank you.

Relatively small place but cosy and welcoming, with very nice staff and excellent, affordable food. Loved my vegan bolognese as there was a generous amount and the spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente.

We had an absolutely wonderful time dining at Vittoria on the Walk this evening. The service was warm and welcoming, the drinks wonderful, and the food utterly delicious. I could eat here every evening!

Expensive and waiters ask you constantly if you want something else

I have been going to Vittoria for 2 years now. Even though the interiors have been updated, I am disappointed that the quality of service declined. I came in after gym and waited a long time to receive my order. The couple who came a while after me had their food served promptly even way before mine arrived. After another 10 mins, I finally received my orders in a takeaway bag even though I clearly specified I will be having one of the pastas I ordered there. If that did not make you feel welcome, having your cheque shoved at you right after they took away your empty plate with a false smile and a cheeky "no need to rush" certainly will. In the 1st place, I did not even ask for the bill as I was still digesting my meal and having my drink. The waitress did not even ask me if I will be happy to include the discretionary service charge, she just keyed it in the card reader. Btw, the couple beside my table who did ask for their bill midway into their meal, only got it after I paid mine. The waitress was being antsy all over. I finally got the message I was not welcome and went out. I will definitely not be dining there in the future. Such disappointing treatment in my own neighbourhood restaurant. Will be looking for another italian place.

All Arabs avoid this restaurant. Its halal food is limited and its taste is completely unacceptable 🤢🤢🤢🤢 and inconvenience is inconvenience.

Excellent. Went for dinner at short notice having made a booking via phone. Service was good, the food was excellent, quantities were large, service was efficient.

Great food. We booked a table for six but arrived with seven. Initially, we weren't sure they would seat us but they squeezed us in.

Great restaurant with amazing staff. Staff made us feel welcome from the beginning and we were seated quickly. Food is fantastic. We had the macaroni and cheese croquettes and some bruschetta to start and both were absolutely amazing. The pizza and pasta dishes we had were also great. We will definitely be coming back as this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Edinburgh

Very good experience at Victoria on the walk. Edinburgh bramble was very good. We liked the aubergine and arroncini appetizers. Chicken Milanese entree was high and tasty. Burrata pizza also very good. Beef ravioli were actually tortellini and good but not great. Cute bright atmosphere and attentive service.

Good Italian food in the heart of Edinburgh. It was incredibly busy when we arrived for our booking, and we were ushered to one side to wait with at least twenty others. Service was brisk but efficient - it’s a little too busy to be overly attentive. Worth a visit, but nothing overly impressive in terms of food or service.

Our party had a lovely experience at Vittoria on the Walk. We must have been lucky getting seating for 6 without a reservation (but this may have been because we were dining later than the normal rush). Our server was so friendly and interactive. He made great wine recommendations and treated us very well. This restaurant has a certain hustle and bustle of a busy Italian restaurant, but still captures the intimate feeling of closeness with their seating area. We decided to start with Focaccia and it wasn't disappointing! It had a crisp exterior with a nice, fluffy interior. The Focaccia had just the right amount of oil and salt to make it the perfect starter. Despite having a delicious line-up of pasta, I just had to go with the pizza. Once again, I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The pizza had some of the most delicious sauce I've had in a while. The cheese was perfectly melted and the crust featured a similar structure to the Focaccia. What really set the pizza apart was the chili oil our waiter drizzled on top. I'm so glad I took him up on his offer because it added a pleasant spicy kick to the pizza. I was also able to sample my wife's vegan pizza. She also decided to go with the chili oil and her pizza was some of the best vegan pizza we've experienced together. It was packed with delicious vegetables and the mozzarella vegan cheese wasn't too heavily applied, nor did it give the extra gooey mouth feel that vegan cheese often has. Combined with the chili oil, it was a wonderful experience. I'm so glad we made it out to Vittoria.

Ordered the Vittoria pasta but found it quite bland. The lasagna was better. Tiramisu was great.

First time in the revamped restaurant and it was superb. The new setting is more modern and bright compared to the previous one. Food and service was great. Highly recommended.

I have been coming here for over 35 years. It’s recently been refurbished and it’s even better for authentic Italian food. The gelato is out of this world!

Drinks only. Outdoor seating was rammed, but got sat in the small bar/lounge area. Super busy, but we were served quickly, efficiently and not ignored. Watched the bar staff work like a 5 star restaurant team.

Good variety of food; many options to choose. The prices are from reasonable to £2-£3 mire than it should be. Visited with family in New Year Eve for lunch without reservation and probably that is why we had to wait 45 minutes for the food. The staff was very accommodating; brought paper to the children to draw and on the way out they gave them a balloon.

Visited over the Christmas period. We were a large table of 6 adults, a 3yr old and 6month old baby. The staff were great, really friendly and very patient especially given there was a lot of getting up and down from the table with the 3 yr old! Very attentive and helped provide a lovely evening. Food was quick to come out and everyone was happy with their dishes. I would definitely come back and also recommend to others.

Very disappointed in this restaurant. Highly recommended and reviews very good. Booked for 6 people - friends up from England meeting us in Edinburgh. Early booking at 5pm due to trains. Turn up and each given a set menu and a la carte menu. Nothing said. Order drinks pick our meals and waitress (nice girl) comes to take order. 2 fine with the set. 4 for the a la carte. Oops I need to check with the manager. Comes back to tell us you all have to go with one menu it’s set or ALC. FGS. Hospitality industry wants supported. Bad start and tbh food was not as good as the reviews. Made for an awkward dinner. If you want rules like this either communicate on the web site or before people sit down at the table. Will not be back.

We went here as a party of 7. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, however I think I was the only one who did, the rest of the party rated theirs are poor, most not finishing….. the non-empty plated seemed to upset the waiter, overall he wasn’t very pleasant and ozzzed of arrogance, for that reason I probably wouldn’t go again as a family. I got the spaghetti which I give 5 stars Others got the risotto which was very salty and lacked any other flavour The fish was also very poor quality The pizza was meeehhhhh

We were warmly welcomed into Vittoria .The service was prompt and efficient. I was able to choose any pasta or pizza gluten-free, which was a very good thing. My pasta was excellent. The pasta was cooked just right, and the sauce was excellent. My husband had lasagne and was very happy with it. We would recommend to our friends and will return.

Really great family friendly restaurant. Been twice now and food and service is of the highest standard. Great atmosphere, we usually get there early but believe me the place fills up quickly!!minestrone a highlight, youngest loves the margherita and eldest loves the spaghetti primavera.Good chips too!!wide range of desserts and coffee to die for.Highly recommended 😋
