The best restaurants serving Italian food in Central Scotland

Popped In here after my dance class on Tuesday night We ordered a meal for one .. curry & pakora Took wee bit to receive but it was cooked fresh And nice and hot Served by friendly staff too .. he had a lovely charm about him As I was waiting, I was looking everywhere (as you do ) and the place was spotless never seen a take away so clean … Cabinets neat and tidy with no spillage Food all covered Floor so clean Arrived home and the food was not only delicious but pipping hot The only problem i now have is how to avoid every week after class lol Def recommend this place Can’t wait for Tuesday !!!!!

Had a fantastic dinner last night 03/04/25. Great location Loch side, charming decor, lovely attentive staff. We had just a main course each, and both ordered the Tequila Mussels, these mains were very generous portions, and were delicious and the best mussel dish we've both had, the accompaniments were all lovely too. They do takeaway as well. Can't wait to go back again and try out the rest of the menu, we'd highly recommended this Bistro.

Fantastic - lovely location, friendly staff and excellent food at very reasonable prices. We were staying in one of the adjacent lodges for a long weekend break, and never expected there to be a restaurant. Had the steak pie which was immense - an enormous portion of melt in your mouth steak which very nearly beat me!

Super warm welcome and truly DELICIOUS food!! We will definitely be back. It truly is a hidden gem not to be missed in Stirling.

We celebrated my wife's birthday here, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious - the steak was the best I've had in ages. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the cocktails were excellent. We’d happily return and might even consider staying at the hotel next time!

The restaurant is small (around 20 seats) and the decor is dated but it’s impeccable in its cleanliness and the menu has a nice choice and pretty standard restaurant prices. We went as a family and had a lovely meal, the service was great and the food was exactly what I expect of an Italian. Good quality ingredients cooked well. We would absolutely go again and happily recommend it to others.

Ordered, not for the first time, but definitely the last, as over 30 minutes late, AND, their own website phone number is disconnected? So, order on an app, and no recourse if things go awry? As I said, not the first time this has happened, but absolutely the last! Benefit of the doubt, lost, small claims court here we go, much to my chagrin...

Acabo de pagar más de £ 24 por un café una lata de fanta y 2 ciabatta con pollo. ¡Fueron 4 libras extra para sentarse! No había ningún extra para el costo adicional de sentarse. La comida caliente para llevar siempre está sujeta al IVA, servido dentro o fuera. ¿Por qué las 4 libras extra? Sin embargo, cobrando £ 9. 50 por la ciabatta que comí fue indignante. El servicio fue un poco desinteresado y francamente desearía haber ido a otro lugar. Me siento estafado pero estoy seguro de que pueden justificar sus precios. Trabajo en la industria y tengo mi propio lugar. Entiendo los retos del aumento de costes pero hay un límite y lo has superado hoy.

Visited Bar Aldo for the first time in years, due to us moving further away from the area. Honestly can’t rate this fantastic restaurant highly enough. We were there as a family of 7, celebrating our Granddaughter’s birthday, and all of us agreed that the food and service were outstanding. There was a great vibe about the place, with a lovely clientele. The staff though, were the icing on the cake, for us all. Friendly, attentive and excellent service all round. Can’t wait to visit again, now we know we can get a train, nearly to the door. Thanks to you all. 👌😋💕

Average tbh because there is no competition. £29 of wine which as only ok . My pizza was ok and my wife had the £17 Ragu pasta which was only slightly under cooked . The garlic bread for £8 was bland tbh . The staff were great in fairness but as there is no competition I do feel that they don’t need to be great . We are not from Auchterarder and are lucky to eat in Manchester and Liverpool but I just wanted more from the place . I may be wrong as others would say it was great . Cake and coffee would be great here I think.

Informal Italian restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. Good choice of the more unusual pastas and risottos. What we chose was excellent.

3 pizzas tonight, each one was great , even managed my "half the usual cheese" request which most places ignore. Super Tasty thanks very much lads.

Brilliant atmosphere. excellent service. I am honestly shocked how this place is not spread all over the world. everything was amazing!
