Fantastic restaurant. Really top quality food, great atmosphere and super friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. All of this was true despite it being a Saturday and super busy - thank you!

Absolutely amazing restaurant! They catered for us on short notice (family of 7) . The staff were so nice and we were made to feel so welcome. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys delicious food and 5 star service 😊 thank you so much, you made my sons birthday a memorable one.

Very pleasant staff and delicious pizzas, real Neapolitan. The pizzas are made with a wide choice of ingredients on a marguereta base.

I enjoyed my pasta with vegetables. But my wife got sick from the mussels in hers. I would recommend this restaurant if you stay away from seafood, but I find it unforgivable that they would serve food that should have been thrown away instead (or washed better?). The whole dish had the taste of the bad mussels (those with the shell) so she couldn't eat the pasta either. We told the waiter and we didn't have to pay for the dish, but that doesn't change the fact that my wife and her stomach were both very upset the whole evening after that. Thanks for ruining that evening for us

Six months after our last visit, we returned (the same three customers) to this family run restaurant. Once again the staff were efficient without being fussy, the atmosphere for a Thursday evening was buzzing and the food was superb. I had the Burrata starter, then tagliatelle with steak/tomato/chilli sauce and Biscoff cheesecake. There’s not a huge choice of places in Alloa that aren’t pubs, so this is a wee jewel that I’d be more than happy to return to on a regular basis.

Amazing first-time experience with my girlfriend! Each of the staff was very chatty and lovely to talk to, their service was fantastic. The food was brilliant, truly authentic Italian food that made us feel like we were on holiday! Bar Aldo's was subject to a random power cut that night before we arrived, but it didn't stop them - the place being lit by candlelight made it feel so lovely! Respect goes to them for handling it so well, we will certainly be back :)

We arrived in town late without reservations on Valentine's Day yet they fit us in. The food was so tasty, the atmosphere was peaceful and the waiters were so friendly and helpful

Quite quiet when we went in but soon filled up. Food was delicious but a little short on veg - one and half baby potatoes, 2 heads of broccoli and 4 slices of carrots. A little more would have been appreciated

Come here tonight for a meal their was 8 of us! Not 1 of us had a bad thing to say every one enjoyed their meal and said they would return. The food was lovely. Great atmosphere and the staff were excellent.

Lunch time date with five girlfriends. Staff were attentive and friendly. We shared three starters - focaccia, garlic bread, and cheese & garlic bread, which were all delicious and plenty for everyone. We each had different main courses, including vegetarian options with compliments from everyone on flavour and portion. Aldos is a reasonably priced gem.

Lovely little restaurant down one of Alloa's side streets. I was taken there for my birthday. The menu had plenty of choice, but I went for the fillet Stroganoff. Best I've ever tasted. Nice atmosphere. Waiters were attentive but not over bearing. I'll definitely be back. Only problem is I'll have to convince myself not to order the stroganoff again.

Been twice and I love it. The food is very good and the service from the staff is great. The staff are very friendly and joke around with you. The location is good because there is a car park around it so it’s easy to get parked.

Super lovely dinner, drinks and dessert! Especially the tiramisu which was amazing!!!Service was perfect and everything was priced very fairly. A must if you are in the area for dinner!!!

Great authentic Italian food, served by attentive staff 😋

We've been coming here for years. Can't fault them. Family, romantic night out, girls night, they've done them all and will be doing them for our kids if they've anything to say about it.

Went with my son and ordered of the Christmas menu. I had minestrone soup then Tacchino ( Turkey,pigs in blankets, potatoes, Brussel sprouts in a cheese sauce with bacon, roasted carrots and parsnips). Son had pâté then Tacchino. Absolutely gorgeous meal and reasonable prices. Washed down with a lovely Chardonnay. Great service from the waiter's. Good atmosphere.

There is no way to explain just how great this place is. The Staff is beyond amazing and friendly and kept the whole night (or nights as we came here multiple times in just our one trip!) fun. They had the best recommendations and the food was some of the best any of the 8 of us have ever had. If we could get one of everything on the menu without needing to be rolled home we would. If you’re in the area, or even if your not, go out of your way and get to Bar Aldo’s!

We had our table booked for 7.45p.m and got a bottle of wine and our starter quite quickly. We had ordered our main course at the same time as our starter. We sat and sat waiting and my husband asked about 9p.m. what was happening? We eventually got our main course about 9.15p.m. We didn't have time for a sweet as we had a taxi booked for 10p.m. Only a coffee. I know it was busy with bigger tables than two of us but it was like the old couple at the window were ignored. It's difficult to see four people at the next table who were ordering their drinks when we arrived to being brought the sweet menu when you hadn't had anything but your starter.

The food was okay, very much suited to the British palette. However it's understandable that it's difficult to get an authentic Italian in a small town. The aranchini was really good, unfortunately the pasta was not homemade but at least the pizza is cooked in a wood fired oven! The Tiramisu was delicious though and was devoured immediately. I would go here again if I am with picky eaters and am desperate for another Italian very close to where I live.

I would highly recommend this place I've never had a bad experience and the food is always amazing. I took my wife and kids there and the food was impeccable , even the takeaway options were amazing.

What a wonderful fine. The staff is amazing and the food is wonderful. A very pleasant surprise. Make sure to make reservations you won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget the Lemoncello Flight. Plenty of parking across the street.

We booked a table for early evening, and already the restaurant was busy - a good sign.. The menu was extensive, with a lovely selection of authentic pasta dishes, especially fish. The food was lovely. The starters were massive, and the mains were all enjoyed by everyone. Lovely family meal.

All I can say is "molto bene". We attended on a Tuesday around 6.30pm and the restaurant was busy but not too noisy. The staff were chatty but not intrusive and the food/drink was delivered quickly. Every dish the three of received was well presented and we offered extras like Parmesan and pepper. The restaurant was clean and tidy plus I can vouch for the cleanliness of the gents toilet too. This was the first time my wife and I had been (our friend was a returnee) and both of us will be happy to book again. Thank you for a lovely meal folks.

Only ordered takeaway in the past and its been excellent. However when I called to check whether they were open today the person who answered immediately hung up. If you were busy or not open to takeaway you at least explain that, hanging up immediately is just extremely rude and a turn off for customers

Phoned for delivery. Usually never have any issues. Ordered 2 starters and 2 burgers, one with cheese. Man on the phone asked when we wanted it. I said as soon as possible and he said they had to cook it first. Obviously…. I then asked to pay by card (which 9/10 isn’t like me) & he asked why I couldn’t pay in cash and told me I had nearly an hour to go get cash… if I wanted to pay cash I would have said I’d pay cash. Bit rude. Told delivery would be around 40 mins. That was fine. After an hour waiting I called to ask to be told they were just waiting on the driver. Took 1hr 45 mins to come. Honestly usually never have any issues with this place at all. But last order and this time have really put us off ordering again. Had a mouldy burger bun last time but the girl was so great at fixing the issue I looked past it and thought to order tonight. Burger bun was burnt, chips undercooked. Every other time the foods always great, hot on arrival, the delivery is always quick, on time etc but it seems like standards are slipping.

Great food as always …… but a disappointing 90 min wait for our main course. It was a busy Friday night and we weren’t the only table to have this problem so some communication from the kitchen would have been welcome.

I've been using this restaurant for 5 years or more, sometimes 3 or 4 times a month but after the way I've just been spoken to after waiting an hour and a half for am order that they forgot and then tried to blame me I will NEVER be back

Absolute mouth watering meal again tonight We’ve stopped taking starters as the portions are way more than we are able to eat . Staff are excellent and always cater for our every need 10/10 again bar Aldo’s 👍👍👍☘️

Stumbled upon this little gem. Best pasta I have ever eaten! Highly recommend! Atmosphere was lovely and relaxing Staff are some of the friendliest people I’ve met 10/10 all round

Only complaint is we waited 2 hours for the mains to come out. It was busy though. Starter mushrooms were fantastic. Chips were also particularly nice. Oh and best espresso martinis! Blonde female server was great.

Quite possibly the WORST dinning out I'v ever experienced! May I fisrt say this USED to be the "go to" place in Alloa. Our haven from the kids. Or sanctuary with friends. As of tonight, this is all gone. Tonight. The food was inedible. Cheap cuts, and very poor quality. And as for the service? Never before have I met such indiffernce from the old waiter to the boss Aldo. TERRIBLE! Arrived at a booked table to used cutlery and dirty table cloth and signage for a previous retirement party? When I asked for a cocktail menu (others were having) I was told "this is a restaurant, not a bar. We don't have a drinks menu"???? 50 min wait for starters (which were good to be fair) Another 45 mins for mains. £28 for fillet Stroganoff with near raw rice. Sent back with much to the discust of the owner. 30mins later once my fiance had finished her tiny piece of Sea Bass (the special) with burnt "Gateax of patato" (no veg - paid extra for it after served) Returned with now cooked watery rice but with same, now cold, stroganoff on the top. Just UTTER GARBAGE! When leaving, Julio (going there that long we know their names) complained about why I didnt eat it as it was new rice! Didn't wait for dessert/ coffee as usual and went to pay and was told, even before asking, by Aldo, the owner "We're no takin' nothin' off yer fuc**n bill" Paid £120 for quite possibly the WORST meal I've ever experienced. Never again. JUST AWFUL. Having come there with my family of all generations for years since they have opened, this is one customer that will never return.

Very disappointing meal last night. The sauce on my Vesl dish was congealed, the potatoes were burnt to a crisp and the broccoli was overcooked!! Nothing on the menu for Vegans my friend had to make do with a vegetable pizza and she couldn’t have coffee as only had cows milk!! Also it should be pointed out that it’s Xmas and maybe a cracker or candle on the table might have cheered a very dreary evening up a bit. I used to frequent Aldo’s regularly but don’t think I would hurry back.
