Dear Restaurant manger , owner As I haven't got any response from you on my email I would like to share my experience with the others I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the experience my party and I had at your restaurant on 30.03.2024.We had come to celebrate a special occasion, a birthday, and unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, there were several issues that marred the celebration. Once seated, the problems persisted. The service was slow and inattentive, with long gaps between courses and difficulty getting the attention of our server. Perhaps most egregiously, there was a complete lack of acknowledgment of the birthday we were there to celebrate. Despite mentioning the occasion when making the reservation and again upon arrival, there was no recognition from the staff, let alone any special gesture to mark the occasion.Staff brought the spoons to the table and asked how is having a dessert - when we clearly said upon the arrival this is a surprise . When I have spoken to the lady and explained her we doesn't want a dessert anymore as that's supposed to be a surprise - she said dessert are ready . I said we want to leave them as this is not surprise anymore , she brought the receipt with very bad attitude without saying apologies . She just left the receipt on te table . When we were leaving I have asked for her name and it was Caren I said we are unhappy from her attitude and she ruined my friend birthday - she said ok ok . Didn't apologise at all . As a frequent patron of your establishment, I have always held your restaurant in high regard. However, the experience we had tonight has left a sour taste in my mouth. Not only was our celebration ruined, but our overall impression of your establishment has been tarnished. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and take steps to address the issues we encountered. While I understand that mistakes happen, it is essential that corrective action is taken to ensure that other patrons do not have to endure a similar experience in the future.

as commented below, unfortunately, attempts to contact the restaurant on site about the situation and via e-mail were completely ignored. Unfortunately, I have to give a negative review. a birthday that was supposed to be a surprise turned out to be a complete disaster because someone probably didn't understand my request, which I made over the phone after making the reservation, talking to a very nice gentleman. While talking on the phone and after arriving, I explained that the dessert with a candle was supposed to be a surprise, and then I was told to discreetly indicate the people who were celebrating a birthday and the dessert would be served for them. After quite a long wait for the meals, it was time for dessert and once again it was ordered discreetly from the lady at the entrance. I had the impression that the lady accepted my request for the second time as a surprise. then a waiter approached the table, asking who was waiting for dessert, bringing spoons, not desserts. Apart from the fact that I also work in gastronomy and I know that mistakes can happen, I was very shocked when (we gave up on dessert because unfortunately the person celebrating the birthday guessed what was going on and said that he didn't want this dessert) , we didn't even receive a word of sorry. We heard that the service was nice. I am very sorry but my efforts on my partner and son birthday were wasted only because of as I can understand, the lack of communication between the staff. At the end we get our bill that was brought by the lady and we obviously could feel that the lady is not very happy about the situation but still didnt even try to say a word of sorry.

Popped in for dinner with my stepson. The staff are so friendly and they love kids - it is nice for the kids to feel included in the experience and they looked after him well. Our pizzas were excellent and it was great to watch the pizzas cooking as we had a table beside the pizza station. Looking forward to coming back and trying the pasta and other meals!

1st time here and will definitely be back. Mother's Day meal, delicious 3 courses. Pasta was so fresh and the meatballs melted in your mouth. Free glass of prosecco was a nice touch.

We ordered a large glass of rose wine and it was more red than rose and asked for it to be changed to a Zinfandel. This appeared to have been a hassle for the youngish Italian waiter with black beard and glasses. The food was average and the pizza had basil on it, which was a bit strange. The same waiter was very stingy with the Parmesan cheese and black pepper as though it was coming out of his wages. Tried getting his attention to get the bill on two occasions to no avail, resulting in having to request this ourselves as we exited the restaurant. The place wasn’t even busy! Won’t be back!

Great atmosphere in here the staff were friendly and food was simply delicious. We arrived without a booking as the kitchen was about to close and they accommodated us. Not in the area otherwise we would definitely return.

Lovely atmosphere. Pizza was delicious, as was the Ragu, Calzone Fritto & Arrabbiata. The Cannolo for dessert was delicious! Live music and a little limoncello for Mum’s birthday was a great touch. Thank you to all the staff.

First time to the restaurant, went as a group of 11 for a retirement and birthday celebration. The services and food was excellent, they took time to care for our party. Everyone enjoyed their meal and drinks. Thank you again to the team.

Beautiful food, clean restaurant and super friendly staff

Arrived at 6pm. Starter bread, basic focaccia, and some rubbery prawns finally arrived 40 minutes later. Main course about 18.55 which we finished by 7.15 but since our table was due back at 7.40 we decided against pudding. When I headed towards accessible toilet a member of staff pointed to the toilets in opposite direction leaving me embarrassed when I had to say I needed to use the accessible one. Absolute tip of a room obviously used for storage. The emergency cord was would round tightly half way up the wall so if anyone tin ill and landed on the floor they couldn't have alerted anyone. This is supposed to be left hanging straight to the ground. I mentioned it to the same member of staff but when I used the toilet again about an hour later it was still tightly knotted in same position. I had a booking already made for the end of December which I cancelled before I even paid the bill. Never again.

I went to this restaurant as it was in good walking distance from my hotel and was near to the Alhambra Theatre. A solo traveller I was greeted by name and offered a lovely table where I could choose whether to look into the restaurant and kitchens or look out of the window. I didn’t feel hurried over my order as the restaurant was busy that evening. I ordered a glass of red and a Margherita pizza, both of which arrived in good time. Pizza was delicious and wine was good, so good I had another. The restaurant felt that it had a good vibe and seemed very popular. I would recommend this place and would also revisit.

Tonight marked our first experience at this establishment. The service pleasantly impressed us, as the waiting staff exhibited a high level of attentiveness and made efforts to meet our specific requests. However, the culinary aspect left something to be desired. We had ordered king prawn's, but what arrived on our plates appeared to be small, 6mm-long prawn pieces, not the king prawns as we ordered. The dish lacked flavour and necessitated additional seasoning, we even had to request salt and Parmesan cheese, items typically provided at Italian restaurants of this caliber, despite their high-end pricing. Furthermore, the portion size seemed inadequate for an average adult, and we are not particularly hearty eaters. Despite our disappointment, we still left a generous tip in acknowledgment of the commendable service. We are frequent diners and chose to provide our feedback to the staff that evening.

An absolute delight of a restaurant. Had a beautiful meal here with some friends tonight, first visit and certainly not our last. From the very friendly service, to the outstanding food and the wonderful live music, our evening was filled with joy and we left with a huge smile on our face. I work in the hospitality industry myself and know how challenging it can be but honestly, I could not fault anything about our experience tonight. Will most definitely return!

This is hands down the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. Family run restaurant with lovely friendly staff who go above and beyond. Cater to all needs. Brilliant menu and food is fresh and delicious. The pizzas and pastas are a must.

A sort of last minute booking, recommended by family and fruends. Checked out the menu on-line and looked reasonably extensive, so new there was something I would like. However the menu presented on the night was completely different, in that the bulk of the ala...

The service was really good, the food was average. For this price range for Italian cousin I was hoping for something much better. The calzone was very oily it gave the impression that it was deep fried (which I am sure it wasn't) also if the card machine doesn't work, you might should tell this when you are seating people, not when they are trying to pay and make them walk to the ATM to get money.

The dough of the pizza is incredible, huge portions. My partner and I got a pizza each and tried the rosemary and garlic fries, and the Parmasean fries. Trust me when I say this, go for the rosemary and garlic!! I wish I had a...

I had a truly excellent pizza. Only once have I had a better one ... and that was in a highly recommended restaurant in Rome. The local Italians eat there. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They also sold the best Italian wine I've ever had. Often, Italian reds can be a bit thin, but not these.

Behold one of the best pizzas in Scotland! These guys know what they’re doing. Lovely place with a nice feel to it, and that pizza was delicious. I had the Diavola. I’ll be back for sure when I next come to Dunfermline.

Can only give 1 star, as we never actually got our main meal. 1 hour and 25 minutes we waited, gave up. No apology, in fact staff were very abrupt, bordering on rude. Would certainly never go back.

Nice venue with ample parking to rear. Probably been a year since we had been here, Reasonably pleased in the past. Tasty simple food, priced accordingly. However, I know prices have risen… but £9:50 for patè starter. Aubergine parmigiana main course, size of a starter...

What a beautiful restaurant! Soft lighting, fresh coloured decor, and lots of walls with head to foot plants (fake) gorgeous!!! Now the food. I've been to Italy many, many times and I've been to tons of Italian restaurants outside Italy. But this is by far the best I've ever tasted outside Italy!!! My favourite is spaghetti Bolognese, basic I know. But I know a good authentic one from an ok one. But this was absolutely delicious. Others for pizza, and the crust (my favourite part) was crispy but also light as a feather. I can't wait to go back!! Staff were friendly, efficient and didn't get in your face every 2 mins to ask if all was ok. Oh and the cannoli wow!

Visited after several recommendations... Great food. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by a very rude person on the door. Now hands up, we were early but we checked if they wanted us to wait and were told no. Within seconds of being seated we were asked for our drinks order, so we chose the first beer we could see. Then after only having just opened the food menu we were asked for our order or if we needed more time. We asked for more time as we had just sat down, then 2 minutes later were asked again... This was far too rushed so I kindly asked if we could have 5 minutes to read the menu. Rude door person was not happy with this trying to say it was to help the kitchen (even though I hadn't even gotten past the antipasti!) and walked away huffing. We had tried asking if we could just order a starter to see if that would appease them but we're snapped at for asking such a ridiculous question - the kitchen would never cope! Once we had closed our menus - to show we were ready - a new staff member served us. All other staff were lovely - providing great service. However, that one rude door person ruined our experience. Won't be back in a hurry but I would recommend going for the food, I would never deny how lovely that was.

Excellent food and service, may want to consider staying open a bit later on a Friday and Saturday last 2 times felt a bit rushed when advised they were closing we would of spent more money for another hour as we wanted coffees, sure it would make good business sense

For a true authentic Italian restaurant this is the place. I have sampled cuisine all over Italy, North and South and this is right up there with the best. It's family owned and this comes out on the plate with the love and attention given to the food. Much of the produce like the Italian fennel sausage, wine and processo is all sourced from back home. The service is excellent, friendly and welcoming. Topping this all off is it very reasonably priced. Outstanding! 🇮🇹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The best authentic Italian restaurant in Fife. Pizza is so good ingredients are high quality and all fresh and handmade. We go occasionally with family and partner is just heaven . We tried pizza risotto and pasta and dessert all amazing . Gelato is totally delicious. They’re superlative . Love the staff is friendly and professional , environment is clean and comfortable, nice Italian music and nice atmosphere . Food is delicious .

Despite being very busy on Saturday night, we got a lovely warm welcome and the service was quick as usual. The food was superb and my husband said the pizza was the best he had ever, very tasty base and the toppings were so flavoursome....

Came in for our first time recently and had a really lovely time. We were visiting and so weren't sure where we were headed for our dinner that night and although Casa Mia looked very busy bookings wise they were able to seat us. Staff were friendly and super helpful our entire visit. Both the pizza and pasta were incredible. I also personally love being able to see the pizza oven.

I didn't eat here but the aroma from cooked meals was wonderful. Coffee strong but ever so good 5 star for coffee. Toilets spotless. Looking forward to going vack for a meal.

Just returned home for my 1st experience at Casa Mia tonight and i can now honestly say that this is the best Italian restaurant in the City of Dunfermline. Happy , bright atmosphere with smiling staff to match. Four in our party with a mix of starters from fresh seafood to pate and bread. Thankfully, i got to try them all and I couldn’t fault any and would gladly have eaten them all. Main courses,again were all a mixed bag from pizza to pasta and seafood. Never having had Ragu Di Agnello before,I personally went for that. Amazing dish that i would order again without hesitation. I tried my sons meatball pizza which lucky for me, he couldn’t finish on his own. Pizza was as id except, authentic with a great crust. My wife,the fish connoisseur between us assures me that the Misto Di Mare was hands down the best mixed fish dish she has experienced in any restaurant, nevermind Italian or even in Dunfermline. The desserts finished off a fabulous meal with ice cream of various flavours, pistachio being the stand out, to cheesecake. Normally cheesecakes have a hint of the flavour it claims to be but you could tell it was a mango one with every bite. The only disappointment we had on leaving Casa Mia was that we had waited so long to try it. Great job guys, we wish you all the best and my wife assures me we shall return soon.
