First time at Lucas with the family today (9 of us) and can only wish we had been here before now Ryan (our server) was brilliant with perfect service, the food was 1st class and had a brilliant menu that was fantastic value A couple of excellent ice creams on the way out and a quick chat with the owner 5 stars!! Best Italian in Dunfermline! Ice cream to die for.

Generous portions and good service. Starters were very good - garlic mushrooms and the meatballs. Veal with porcini mushrooms also good but the broccoli with the sea bass was partially burnt and the hand cut chips needed about an extra minute in the fryer as they were a bit underdone. The Ice cream sundae with caramel pieces very good so almost 5 stars but not quite.

Our dining experience was above expectations. The staff were very efficient. The food was exceptional. The orders were taken with good timing. The food delivered to the table super quick. It’s a huge restaurant, yet almost full to capacity. I will be back.

Booked for a 80th birthday. Really disappointed with our seating arrangements. Service was terrible. Waited 1/2 hour to get a glass of tap water. Attitude of manager was disgusting. If I had not paid the £200 deposit for the 20 of us we would of left due to attitude from manager. Could not split our bill between our different families as we had paid a £200 deposit. Could not get a copy of our bill until it was paid. So we all had to sit and count our bill up from the menus. And the staff and manager were not happy that we kept the menus through out our meal to calculate the cost for the individual families. As our party started to leave at different times we were asked were the others were and if they had paid our response was not they have not paid as I am paying for it all as they are not allowed to pay individually as the manager very bluntly told us. Only good thing was a massive thank you to the kitchen team as food was great. And a big thank you to the male member of staff that brought the cake out and sang happy birthday. Really disappointed in the service as this was for a special day and will not be back

Great place for a family catch-up. Lovely staff and relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent and we were complete stuffed afterwards. Look forward to coming back again to try some of the sweet treats!

As always food, and service very good. It's just a shame, a restaurant that used to surpass all in Dunfermline has continued to spiral downhill with the availability of liqueurs, in particular Malt whiskey to finish off a wonder meal. This is my fourth visit where the whisky on offer is for soaking dentures, nothing else. Come on Lucca management, get your act togethet

Love going to Lucas, we visit weekly (sometimes more than once). Staff are great, food is always fresh and delicious. Great for couples also for get togethers with family.

Not been to Lucas for a while, came on a Sunday lunch time, no set menu, ordered off the main menu, pizza was tasty, then a sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I would recommend if in Dunfermline.

Arrived for lunch at 12.15 Staff very welcoming and helpful Our meal was excellent for our party of 5 . Our vegetarian in the group was delighted with the choices. We had 2 courses plus drinks that came to less than £100. for 5 of us which was a nice surprise . This was a Friday and was very busy . Noise levels were high but all the tables were full ,always a good sign We will be back .

This was our second visit. The food is fresh and tastes great. As someone that loves fish, the sea bass is terrific and part of the reason we went back. According to our waiter, the fish is fresh daily. Staff are friendly and very helpful. New additionsl parking has been added and the restaurant is clean, tidy and has lots of light. The only minor criticism is lack of vegan options, although there is a reasonable selection of gluten free and vegetarian meals. Set price lunch is great value and the portion sizes are enough that you won't have to visit McDonalds, as my wife and I once did after going to a particular restaurant in Edinburgh.

Only let down by difficult parking spaces, disabled furthest away on steepest slope. Whereas regular car park spaces right outside restaurant entrance. Only got on path as a car left. The other half of carpark was getting upgraded. Thankfully the food, service and the indoor seating made up for frustration of actually getting parked and into restaurant.

Very poor lasagne it was just Mush!! A small dish mainly full of just sauce and melted cheese and thin pasta layers but barely any minced beef!! I'm usually stuffed after having lovely lasagne everywhere else full of minced beef but I left here hungry! Chips were average too. And the tall young boy waiter was the worst I can think of having so miserable looking and terrible customer manner!

Been twice in two weeks. Both experience was unpleasant and disrespectful. First time. Staff were overpowering and couldn't wait for us to finish our meal. Second visit was with elderly parent for her birthday. One particular staff member was very rude and disrespectful and unprofessional. Will not returning for a third visit. Food great. Need to train there staff on customer service.

Stand out lunch time menu at great price. Loved the mushrooms with cheese sauce and garlic bread, the chicken with pepper sauce was good too and the tiramasu and ice cream was just a great finish. Highly recommend this place as despite there being 10 of us the staff were great.

Food, service and atmosphere are everything and tonight in particular, our server Lauren was phenomenal. Walked in had an almost perfect experience today.The lady that served us was amazing 100% on her A game.My family got burgers and steak which to be honest was good however not the best .i order the meat feast pizza,which to date has got to be the worst possible pizza I’ve ever had.My family and I tried to get with it but it was rather too burnt and too salty not to mention the toppings falling apart.I waited till we wanted the bill and spoke to the waitress in the best possible way and she said she would let the chef know I didn’t enjoy this pizza just for her to come back and say the pizza is not burnt (according to chef who I saw passing the pizza to someone to serve obviously ashamed to serve it himself)and it was salty because all their meat is cured and yet my Grans steak was not even slightly salty. I asked her if she would have had that pizza to which she replied she would because it’s an “Italian” pizza as if to say Italian pizza is meant to be burnt!Told her I have had one before I know how it should be and certainly not burnt and I didn’t need a refund or replacement the least they could do was an apology but gave the worst service and attitude to the end as they ended up even swapping servers after my complaint!Never have I ever had worse experience than this!Clearly wasn’t happy the least a person can do is apologise for an evident fault.Never visiting this place again!

We were visiting the area from Kent, mainly to explore Edinburgh, but Luca’s was the local Italian restaurant, so we thought we would give it a try. We all loved it! Loads of choice on the menus and the food was delicious. Friendly staff. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll be back!

As a real Italian in visit for work I have just to say, excellent! I got the Aperol spritz that was good (I would just add a little bit more of Aperol but that is just my taste, it was good). I got a Pizza Margherita that was in Napoli style and was really really good even for the Italian level. One of the best I tried out of Italy. To finish I got the cheese cake that was absolutely good too and an espresso that as already say many times it was good. Nothing bad to day. Good food, Modern location with a lot of space, Gentle and good looking waitresses. TOP.

As a last min booking for 29 people, Lucas was more than accommodating. Restaurant was busy when we arrived but it did not delay our service at all. Staff were amazing and great with the kids. Food was served fast and all guest were eating at the same time for starters and mains, the food itself was delicious, not 1 complaint from anyone at our table. Staff came back regularly to check on us and see if we needed anything. When it came to us paying and everyone wanted to pay separately it was no issue (even though it was stressful for them.) big thanks to you all for helping make my daughters 18th birthday special and allowing us to have all the family together. You all helped reduce my stress when I came in lol. Will defo be back but maybe without the stressful cake.

Was at Luca's for dinner with some friends as it's always a hit with everyone. Never had a bad meal here, pastas are always delicious! The place is always busy as well which says a lot and we've always received great customer service. Looking forward to coming back

We were party of 6. One of our party was a wheelchair user. The staff made sure we were all well sat and served. I had the tagliata which didn't come with a side and my Father in-law found the pepper sauce a bit thin. Those were our only small complaints. The steaks were really good, pizza was great and the hand cut chips to die for. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Very disappointed. We had never been to this restaurant before but eat out quite a lot. I asked the waitress if I could substitute chips for salad. She told me she didn't think so but she would ask. She didn't get back to me and then my meal arrived. Chips no salad. I had to leave it untouched. Never had this problem before in any restaurant. Others have always been courteous and obliging. Poor customer service here. We don't have to eat at your restaurant and we won't be back.

Great pasta dishes and adjusted the dish to remove a specific ingredient, suggested alternative added to the seafood dish with just that little bite of Chilli as requested. Very friendly staff.

We visited here on Friday for lunch. It was very busy but we were served promptly. Our starters were pate and bruschetta which were very good. My husband then found a hair in his pasta , he informed the waitress and said she would tell the chef, then we waited and 10 minutes later and the waitress took the plate away, we then heard nothing, which was quite embarrassing. We paid our bill and they didn’t take my husbands pasta off but we just wanted to leave. I don’t think this was handed professionally in such a lovely place.

Our second time coming here we were delighted to see the menu had been updated with new pizzas, to which are likely the best in Dunfermline. Very authentic and tasty.

The whole dining experience was superb fish of the day was top class. Coffee was flavoursome

Chantall was very polite and had nice service - she was very helpful. Food was out very quick and was good timing between the starter and main.

The food and service were amazing, the staff were super friendly and helpful, they even allowed us to add an extra person at the last minute, I had the linguine Saffron, and it was superb, a creamy sauce with a delicate flavour of saffron, perfect prawns, and the pasta was al dente, to top it off was a tiramisu for dessert that was the best I've ever had, the interior of the restaurant was beautifully designed giving a classic feel with maintaining a modern sharpness, all in all and amazing night.

The food was lovely and very quickly served. However as we arrived, I have to say, we weren't exactly greeted with a smile. A warm and friendly welcome would have helped us enjoy our experience. Smile!!! 😁

This was my first time in here. Food was very tasty indeed but the stand out thing was the super generous portions!! I'm a big eater and was struggling to finish everything! If you like Italian it's a safe bet you'll like something in here. Highly recommended and prices for what you get are very reasonable. Being Italian it's family friendly as well. Will definitely be back 👌

Had a very pleasant lunch last week,always superb, however was extremely disappointed with the Tortellini, the sauce and pasta were delicious, the filling was very poor, I believe it was beef but all i got was lots of grissle/sinue,this was a big let down for me ,hopefully better next time.

It doesn't promise too much and an Italian restaurant where things taste like what it promises is not often found in Scotland

Excellent experience in this Italian restaurant. The welcome was warm and the staff were very attentive. I enjoyed gorgonzola and honey bruschetta, pasta carbonara and, for dessert, a Bounty ice cream sundae. The dishes were delicious and generous. However, the atmosphere was a bit noisy for my liking. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The atmosphere and food at Luca’s Restaurant were outstanding. We ordered classic Italian Carbonara and Risotto Fungi. We did not eat better even in Italy.

This is the second time I have visited Luca's kitchen when up from England and we were not disappointed. Big selection and excellent food. Six of us had different meals and all commented on how they enjoyed. I had a prawn Linguine which was different to the last time. Plenty of king prawns and a beautiful meal. My wife had Lasange and said it was hot all the way through and again beautiful. What a place. We will visit again but beware you need to book it's always full, and no wonder.

So my wife and I have been here several times now, including graduation and birthday bookings. We always enjoy the delicious food, atmosphere and friendly service. The staff are always very accommodating and always willing to come and go with you a little. The half and half option is good for pizza and pasta lovers for those who can't decide which one to get. Only available though if both of you want the same pizza and pasta. They have a lovely selection of ice creams also, which to me adds to the whole dining experience. Will continue to come back here as long as it's open. Shame it's a 30 minute drive for us as we'd be there every week! So far, we've never been disappointed with anything, so keep up the great work! Great place for a casual dinner,food great!

This was our first time here, and it won't be the last. The food was delicious. The drinks (cocktails and wine) were fabulous. Our portions were huge, we had to take some of it home with us. The service was great too. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend!

Again food was delicious, I tried the fish this time if I was to criticise anything, the fish was very greasy on the bottom perhaps put on a bit kitchen roll to soak grease away the batter is amazing and the fish beautiful white , onion rings are just yummy , partner had pizza which never dissapoints , also bucheta to start again delicious but be nice if tomato was warm not freezing we will defo be bk again to try something else all staff are just lovely with very good customer service x

Visiting with friends & their teenage grandchildren we chose Luca’s because of it’s wide & varied selection of dishes on the menu. We had made reservations, which is advised as it became very busy, very quickly. We ordered drinks whilst looking at the menu. Drinks came promptly and once we decided on which food we were all having the food came very quickly which impressed us. The selection of mains were delicious and the ice cream was amazing. Service was very friendly and it was great to see how efficiently the front of house team worked together to provide a smooth and pleasant experience. We shall return.

Recently visited Luca’s Kitchen for a spontaneous weekday lunch after a friend recommended this place. Arriving just after 1:00pm we found the car park and restaurant to be very busy and wished we had made a reservation. Thankfully as a table of two we were able to get a seat but would recommend booking to save disappointment, especially at the weekend. Our waiter was very polite and prompt to take our order. We decided to opt for the lunch menu (two course for £14.95) ordering a Penna Arabiata and Pollo Milanese followed by a Sticky Toffee Pudding and Biscoff Cheesecake. Food was served quickly and main dishes were very tasty and a sufficient size. Dessert was even better…especially the cheesecake, delicious! The only negative was the restaurant was very loud which made it difficult to have a conversation with my grandad who is 87 and hard of hearing! In future I would book and request a booth/window table for more privacy. Overall a very positive experience and will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Believe Luca’s also offer a takeaway service too. 9.5/10👍🏼

Been to this restaurant before, but these new owners have done some magic on both the decor and menu. My first mouthful of the veal porcini was like when I was a child and put popping candy on my tongue. My tastebuds were doing a Highland Jig in my mouth. All our meals were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. Then the desserts menu…. Take your time, it’s a big decision. Soo much amazing choice. The homemade ice creams are mouth watering and just perfect. The staff are all happy, helpful and efficient. Overall a very pleasant experience.

This was our third visit here as wanted to share with friends on visit to Dunfermline. Advised on entry that our table would be required back by 7.45pm (although it said on booking 8pm) which was said rather abruptly, when a warm welcome first, would have been more appreciated. We were seated promptly and service of drinks and orders were very quick. We all had starters of Bruschetta, 2 goat's cheese and tomato which were lovely. My husband chose his favourite Tagliatelle Pollo Funghi and once again thought delicious. I chose gf Penne Lucas and enjoyed it very much. My friend's husband had the Rigatoni sugo carne, but unfortunately was not quite to his taste. He thought it to be a bit on the salty side and quite rich for him, but I thought perhaps that was just a wrong choice for him. My friend had the trout (her husband stole some of this) she was greatly impressed and thought it was outstanding in taste and presentation. We finished off with an Afrogato, Tiramisu. and I had a Raspberry ripple. All in all it was an enjoyable time for us all and our friends said they would come back to Luca's.

First visit and the food and service was fabulously. Staff were awesome! Big thumbs up for the cocktails, the Aviator is definitely one I will get again. The desserts were fab, peanut butter stack 👌🏾

Went for a bite to eat with a friend yesterday. Never been here before despite it being close to my workplace. Our starters were fine, I had the breaded mushrooms with garlic dip and she had bruschetta. When our pizzas arrived, I picked up a slice and the contents slid completely off, the base was too thin and soggy, my friends was the same. We would’ve had to have eaten it with a knife and fork which would’ve been a first for eating pizza for me! We said to a waitress and she returned them to the kitchen and informed us that they were being remade with thicker bases. When they arrived, my friend had nipped to the toilet and not sure if it was the manager that brought them over but found him to be quite patronizing. He said if we had wanted to have a thicker base then to ask for a neopolitan base as this was thicker, I said to him wouldn’t have known to do that. I looked at the online menu when I got home and I couldn’t see anywhere that said there was a choice of bases and how thin/thick you could have them!!! I’ve never had to do that before in any Italian restaurant so seemed a bit odd. After that, we felt we were being watched by them and felt uneasy, couldn’t wait to finish, pay and leave. Sorry to say I won’t be in any hurry to return.
