first time we tried this, we didnt expect much. How wrong were we? we have been back 3 times and plan on making at a regular haunt. food is fantastic, service is second to none.

Excellent experience in this Italian restaurant. The welcome was warm and the staff were very attentive. I enjoyed gorgonzola and honey bruschetta, pasta carbonara and, for dessert, a Bounty ice cream sundae. The dishes were delicious and generous. However, the atmosphere was a bit noisy for my liking. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The atmosphere and food at Luca’s Restaurant were outstanding. We ordered classic Italian Carbonara and Risotto Fungi. We did not eat better even in Italy.

Excellent food and very friendly service

This is the second time I have visited Luca's kitchen when up from England and we were not disappointed. Big selection and excellent food. Six of us had different meals and all commented on how they enjoyed. I had a prawn Linguine which was different to the last time. Plenty of king prawns and a beautiful meal. My wife had Lasange and said it was hot all the way through and again beautiful. What a place. We will visit again but beware you need to book it's always full, and no wonder.

So my wife and I have been here several times now, including graduation and birthday bookings. We always enjoy the delicious food, atmosphere and friendly service. The staff are always very accommodating and always willing to come and go with you a little. The half and half option is good for pizza and pasta lovers for those who can't decide which one to get. Only available though if both of you want the same pizza and pasta. They have a lovely selection of ice creams also, which to me adds to the whole dining experience. Will continue to come back here as long as it's open. Shame it's a 30 minute drive for us as we'd be there every week! So far, we've never been disappointed with anything, so keep up the great work! Again food was delicious, I tried the fish this time if I was to criticise anything, the fish was very greasy on the bottom perhaps put on a bit kitchen roll to soak grease away the batter is amazing and the fish beautiful white , onion rings are just yummy , partner had pizza which never dissapoints , also bucheta to start again delicious but be nice if tomato was warm not freezing we will defo be bk again to try something else all staff are just lovely with very good customer service x

This was our first time here, and it won't be the last. The food was delicious. The drinks (cocktails and wine) were fabulous. Our portions were huge, we had to take some of it home with us. The service was great too. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend!

Visiting with friends & their teenage grandchildren we chose Luca’s because of it’s wide & varied selection of dishes on the menu. We had made reservations, which is advised as it became very busy, very quickly. We ordered drinks whilst looking at the menu. Drinks came promptly and once we decided on which food we were all having the food came very quickly which impressed us. The selection of mains were delicious and the ice cream was amazing. Service was very friendly and it was great to see how efficiently the front of house team worked together to provide a smooth and pleasant experience. We shall return.

Recently visited Luca’s Kitchen for a spontaneous weekday lunch after a friend recommended this place. Arriving just after 1:00pm we found the car park and restaurant to be very busy and wished we had made a reservation. Thankfully as a table of two we were able to get a seat but would recommend booking to save disappointment, especially at the weekend. Our waiter was very polite and prompt to take our order. We decided to opt for the lunch menu (two course for £14.95) ordering a Penna Arabiata and Pollo Milanese followed by a Sticky Toffee Pudding and Biscoff Cheesecake. Food was served quickly and main dishes were very tasty and a sufficient size. Dessert was even better…especially the cheesecake, delicious! The only negative was the restaurant was very loud which made it difficult to have a conversation with my grandad who is 87 and hard of hearing! In future I would book and request a booth/window table for more privacy. Overall a very positive experience and will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Believe Luca’s also offer a takeaway service too. 9.5/10👍🏼

Had lunch with family. The food was excellent and the service was first class. All-in-all a great place to eat great Italian food.

Been to this restaurant before, but these new owners have done some magic on both the decor and menu. My first mouthful of the veal porcini was like when I was a child and put popping candy on my tongue. My tastebuds were doing a Highland Jig in my mouth. All our meals were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. Then the desserts menu…. Take your time, it’s a big decision. Soo much amazing choice. The homemade ice creams are mouth watering and just perfect. The staff are all happy, helpful and efficient. Overall a very pleasant experience.

First visit and the food and service was fabulously. Staff were awesome! Big thumbs up for the cocktails, the Aviator is definitely one I will get again. The desserts were fab, peanut butter stack 👌🏾

This was our third visit here as wanted to share with friends on visit to Dunfermline. Advised on entry that our table would be required back by 7.45pm (although it said on booking 8pm) which was said rather abruptly, when a warm welcome first, would have been more appreciated. We were seated promptly and service of drinks and orders were very quick. We all had starters of Bruschetta, 2 goat's cheese and tomato which were lovely. My husband chose his favourite Tagliatelle Pollo Funghi and once again thought delicious. I chose gf Penne Lucas and enjoyed it very much. My friend's husband had the Rigatoni sugo carne, but unfortunately was not quite to his taste. He thought it to be a bit on the salty side and quite rich for him, but I thought perhaps that was just a wrong choice for him. My friend had the trout (her husband stole some of this) she was greatly impressed and thought it was outstanding in taste and presentation. We finished off with an Afrogato, Tiramisu. and I had a Raspberry ripple. All in all it was an enjoyable time for us all and our friends said they would come back to Luca's.

Always busy, plenty of staff on hand so service is really good. Food is great too

Went for a bite to eat with a friend yesterday. Never been here before despite it being close to my workplace. Our starters were fine, I had the breaded mushrooms with garlic dip and she had bruschetta. When our pizzas arrived, I picked up a slice and the contents slid completely off, the base was too thin and soggy, my friends was the same. We would’ve had to have eaten it with a knife and fork which would’ve been a first for eating pizza for me! We said to a waitress and she returned them to the kitchen and informed us that they were being remade with thicker bases. When they arrived, my friend had nipped to the toilet and not sure if it was the manager that brought them over but found him to be quite patronizing. He said if we had wanted to have a thicker base then to ask for a neopolitan base as this was thicker, I said to him wouldn’t have known to do that. I looked at the online menu when I got home and I couldn’t see anywhere that said there was a choice of bases and how thin/thick you could have them!!! I’ve never had to do that before in any Italian restaurant so seemed a bit odd. After that, we felt we were being watched by them and felt uneasy, couldn’t wait to finish, pay and leave. Sorry to say I won’t be in any hurry to return.

This is a very friendly place with lovely, perfectly cooked food. The menu gives plenty of choice. Would recommend.

Had a gift voucher to use so thought myself and my wife would check it out. First piece of advice is book ahead. The staff managed to fit us in thankfully but this is a very busy place. I'll start with the good - The staff were lovely, accommodating, and generally couldn't ask much more of them. No troubles using our gift voucher and just all round good in general. The food - Our starter was awesome. I highly recommend the pate with crisp toast breads. Very tasty. Dessert was also great and couldn't fault it. The main courses however were lacking. My wife had the Chicken Millenese and I had the Veal. Both were very dry and although edible, I would say were not great at all. Most likely cooked from frozen given the taste and dryness. Pasta that was on the side of both was just packet pasta I would say again from the taste although the sauce was amazing. The Menu is massive and maybe we just happened to order things that aren't cooked often enough to make fresh. So I think another visit might be required to maybe try something that may be more fresh cooked. For the price however I could have made these dishes much better at home. Overall considering how busy it was, I can assume there are better tasting mains but I would stay away from the mains we had and maybe ask the staff what is fresh and recommended.

Very family friendly restaurant, the service was pretty fast considering how busy it was. The kids meals being brought out first was appreciated. The staff are friendly and professional. The restaurant is decorated nicely with nice furniture. The food is of a high standard with lots of interesting options as well as traditional ones. The ice cream is delicious as you would expect. The only negative was that the music was a bit loud for a Sunday lunch time, but that wasn't a huge deal. Edit: Sunday lunch music has been turned down so that's good. The staff continue to be friendly and happy to help at all times. I strongly recommend the goats cheese burger, and the chips are cracking. The ice cream in the Sundays has changed to a Mr Whippy style and Is definitely not as good, definitely stick to the ice cream counter.

Been meaning to go here for ages and finally did. Food was amazing, great price, small cocktail list but all very tasty. Staff are so lovely and the decor is top notch. (Mitchell the chef is a 10)

Another fantastic late lunch at Lucas. Easily our favourite restaurant in Dunfermline. Fresh Locally Sourced Fish, Great Pastas ,Awesome Pizzas , Luxurious Risottos and Locally renowned Ice Cream. Clean tidy busy restaurant Book ahead as it’s always busy. This itself speaks volumes. 10/10

Pizza was great. Service was good. Unfortunately seated near the bar & the noise from handling the cleaned cutlery & dishes was so loud it was impossible to have a conversation. I don’t know how they managed to make so much noise. I appreciate the efficiency but the ambience and atmosphere suffer from all that noise.

2 of the party had steaks mine was a bit tough other steak was pink inside middle of steak although asked for medium-well cooked manager asked everything ok when told about steaks replied don't know why though use same suppliers other person told should have said earlier. We should have said before end of meal but expected a least an apology very bad customer service

Most amazing meal we have ever had, came from Edinburgh for a night away at a close by hotel, saw this on the way and thought it looked amazing and WOW were we right!!

Our kids love Luca's Kitchen as there is a wide range of food and deserts they like. The staff were even friendlier this time with plenty of interaction with the kids. We had a main course and a desert each which was more than enough. The main course portions are very deceiving and you end up full quickly. Amazing food and great service, well worth a visit 😀

First visit and won’t be the last , just visiting Dunfermline for the day and googled restaurants with good gf menus and this popped up, was going to wing it but my wife decided to book a table which when we arrived was wise as even although a Wednesday lunchtime it was very busy . Anyway the service was spot on and friendly and the food absolutely lovely, and for my wife to get such a choice of gluten-free was brilliant- it made her feel normal . So hats off to Luca’s and we can’t wait to come back especially to sample the ice cream as we were too full to try this time !! I should also mention it was super value too really not a big bill for the quality of food 👌

Great pasta dishes and adjusted the dish to remove a specific ingredient, suggested alternative added to the seafood dish with just that little bite of Chilli as requested. Very friendly staff.

We ordered 4 mains and 4 desserts and had all clean plates. The best review was from our 11 year old Italian friend who stated allowed ‘that was the best risotto I’ve ever had’

Lunch with friends. Haven't been for a long time but the food was really good and the prices were decent. Service was really quick but not hurrying you.

Really good experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The facilities are very comfortable and cosy. I must confess, I'm not Italian food's biggest fan, but Luca's kitchen was very widely recommended and it didn't disappoint. It was my friend's birthday and her dessert was brought with candles and they sang happy birthday to her. That was awesome! Thank you so much. She was super happy.

The restaurant was very busy, despite it being 2 nights before Hogmanay. The food we all had was very good and served piping hot! The service was good, too.

Fantastic all round experience.

What an amazing dining experience which nobody should miss out on. This is a very well organised and pristine restaurant which even when it is jam packed with guests can provide a highly professional and friendly service. Do not be put off by the extensive choice of dishes as the quality of dishes is outstanding. This is by far the best Italian food served in Fife if not in Scotland. You have to make a point in visiting.

Booked here for early dinner on a Saturday night after the cinema. Promptly shown to our table and drinks order taken. Starters of mozzarella and garlic bread served promptly and mozzarella sticks were great even if there are only 3 in a portion. Husband had cheese and bacon burger and I had the chicken Milanese. Both meals really nice and decent sized portions. Banana split and 2 scoops of ice cream for dessert. Staff friendly enough for getting more drinks but Could have done with checking meals were ok and replenishing napkins on table between courses. Felt was value for money and would definitely return. Wanted to round the bill up but card machine only seemed to allow % for tips.

Had a booking here because of time of year. Arrived on time and were shown to our table right away. drinks arrived promptly. we ordered our food. we shared a foccacia mozerella with extra cheese.my friend ordered a spicy chicken disk just a bit hot for his taste. I ordered a spaghetti carbonara extra cream extra bacon. it arrived just as expected with a generous portion. to finish I had my signature dish luca's honeycomb ice-cream. rounded of with two cappuccinos. would recommend to anyone. will keep coming back.

Excellent Staff friendly and happy. The food was excellent good portions size, full on flavour pasta perfect, meatballs lovely, soft herby tasty, big prawns, the Mussel dish with chilli was very good, the sauce (made my mouth tingle with taste) was spot on. The Zebra was a surprise Black pudding crispy hot the mozarella soft cool balsamic creme finished of nicely, try it. I had the mixed meat with penne pasta, when looking at thought not a big portion, however the plates are deep, just finished it, the steak parts lovely soft (loads several strips) bacon bits and mince and a lovely tomato sauce through it. Lovely looking Sundaes but we were full by then but bought some ice cream on the way out and had it at next day, very good flavour and creamy. Have told our friends and family next time they visit we coming here. Recommend.

Went there for lunch with my boyfriend and the food was great. Only unfortunate thing that happened was my boyfriend due to a medical problem started chocking on his food and could not get a breath, due to panick I made the staff well aware that he was chocking as of asking for help but the staff wasn't all that much help. Luckily I manage to help him to bring it up and breathe again, only to be then approached afterwards with a glass of water...don't get me wrong, I like going there but I think staff could have been more help considern it could have been alot more serious if i couldn't clear his airways.

This is the second time I've been here. I have to say that I noticed a huge improvement in the pizza dough from the first time I came here. As an Italian I'm quite picky about pizza and this time it was amazing!! It would be great if they could offer even more toppings on that great base (4 cheeses or more veg options) I would recommend this place to all the Italians and all the people who appreciate a genuine Italian pizza!

Huge menu. Good sized portions. Pizzas and Vegetable Arancini were the standouts. Mozzarella sticks well overpriced. Cajun pasta and Meatball & Steak rigatoni were also excellent albeit meatballs a little salty even for me! Impressed overall and will return after being away for 4 years.

Dined here for my birthday, and tried the tomato bruschetta for my starter, and pepperoni and jalapeño pizza for my main. My partner had the vegan pizza. I enjoyed the food, much more tastier than the Tony Macaroni chain restaurant up in the leasure park, so I'll be back to Luca's again. I've only knocked it down a star as I like a thin and crispy pizza base, but I found my toppings slipped off the end of the slice. 🍕

Extremely impressed. First visit here but certainly not our last. Always thought this was more of a cafe, but was surprised to find it is actually a first class Italian Restaurant. The service was so quick and very attentive especially from Lauryn who was one of the servers. My husband had the Broccoli soup with blue cheese, and followed on with Pollo Funghi, which he said were both delicious. I had garlic mushrooms in cream sauce, followed by Gluten Free Mac & Cheese. I can honestly say all dishes were very well presented with outstanding flavour. I am so appreciative of the varied menu for gluten free as not many restaurants offer such a great choice, if only they offered a gf pizza, is my only gripe. Unfortunately, had no room for dessert this time around but will certainly try next time. First class service, and first class food. Thank you.

We love to go to Lucas kitchen when the kids are in school and honestly cannot fault a single thing. We also held my kids first communions there in 2022 and again everything was great.

My sister and I today enjoyed a thoroughly delicious meal at Luca’s Kitchen. I ordered sea bass and my sister had trout. Both dishes were served on a bed of asparagus and new potatoes and also a lemon sauce. We each had gelato for desert. The bill for the two was less than £40 and well worth it.

Came here for food last Tuesday was amazing best food i have had in a while. Had an amazing server young girl with blonde hair was very polite and had very fast service and could help with anything.Returned on the Saturday for ice cream was so good with another young girl serving was very polite and helped a lot with any questions Amazing service

Took my friend and her son and myself here one day just for a quick dinner and we were so hungry. The food was absolutely out of this world. Good kids menu as well. Amazing selection of food. AND THE ICE CREAM. Holy moly. That was the best part of the meal..and the deserts were amazing. Staff couldn't be any more nicer than what they were either. And they are just brilliant.

Too salty Service was a little anxious, 1 hour to closing. They had at least 8 tables to look after.

Last minute dinner for my son and I booked on the phone. We knew in advance we would be sat in the ice cream parlour area which I have to say we really liked as was away from the hustle of the main restaurant and it felt more relaxed. The waiter and waitress in that area were very friendly, approachable and helpful, so we were happy to tip at the end. I had a chicken burger and my son had a beef burger - both were absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. We couldn't resist the ice creams at the parlour though found it hard to decide which flavours to go for. We will need to go back, which we absolutely will as it was a really lovely experience from start to finish

Staff are rather vague. We even had to ask for a menu. Rather pricey for the portion size.

I go to Lucas most weeks and today I was so disappointed… some idiot on the next table was vaping, this was so disgusting as I was eating… this left me to very annoyed and I may no ever go back, none of the staff said a word that made it even worse…. Very very poor
