Love the food at this place, always hard to narrow down your selections into the few plates you want to try but have never been disappointed. Always very busy when I have been so the service can be a little slow sometimes (understandably) but dont let that put you off from trying the great food.

Went there about 19.45. Ordered at the till as no table service. Only 1 other table occupied. So place was dead, no atmosphere or music. 4 waitresses behind the counter talking. Ordered milkshakes n ready made cakes. Waited 45 mins till milkshakes arrived. And another 10 for the cakes. They have guest WiFi, but nobody knew the password. Another table arrived, Ordered, then waited 30 mins, then left after receiving nothing. If this is the service when it's dead, God help you if there's more people.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Pizza Express. We arrived at 7:59 PM for our 8:00 PM booking and were barely acknowledged—just pointed to a table by the window with no guidance or assistance. From there, the service only got worse. We were completely ignored until 8:30 PM before anyone even took our order. At this point, we decided to order both drinks and food together, unsure if the bald waiter would even bother returning for a second round. To make matters worse, a couple who arrived at the same time as us (and were stood directly in front of us waiting to be seated) had already been served, eaten, and were browsing the dessert menu while we were still waiting for basic service. When our drinks finally arrived, they were plonked down on the table without a word, and the waiter immediately walked away. The food experience was no better—service was just as impersonal and dismissive, though we were at least asked if we wanted black pepper on our pizza. The only moment of polite service we received was when we asked for the dessert menu and were given a single word in response: “Certainly.” Overall, the service was slow, inattentive, and completely lacking in basic hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend this location unless you’re happy to be ignored while other diners receive timely and courteous service.

Great place to sit in the window with good food and watch the world go by

We were hungry and had run out of options. To be fair and balanced my husband enjoyed his Beef Stefado. My Sicilian Salmon pasta was awful. It was meant to be a fillet. It was the tail end of the fish and it was tiny! It was meant to be pan fried, more like crucified! It was crunchy (not in a good way). It looked like a tail shaped fishfinger. The pasta was so soft, reminded me of microwave meal pasta. The sauce was bland, it was meant to have capers (I only found 2). I added lots of fresh lemon and black pepper to make it edible. I ate it as I was hungry, but at £18.95 I was disgusted! The garlic flatbread was tough to eat (left most of that). The service was also haphazard. It felt like the waitress was in training but we hadn’t been told. She was friendly and polite but was very confused. We were sitting next to the pass and could see our 2 mains and 2 sides. She delivered our sides but ignored the mains. Then she went to look at them and just walked off. Then came back took them and headed to the front of the restaurant. Then she did a u-turn, spoke to a manager who pointed to us. There was no apology for it being late and during the meal there was no welfare check. At the end of the meal we weren’t asked how it was. Shocking meal and £55 lighter! Loos weren’t pleasant either. No lock on door and broken taps.

Went out with the other half for a birthday meal out. The food was amazing, we both had chicken Milanese with spaghetti and garlic butter- the chicken was cooked to perfection, garlic butter wasn't too garlicky or too much butter, the spaghetti was delicious. Finished the meal off with 2 scoops of Vanilla gelato and 2 scoops of mint chocolate chip gelato. Overall, excellent service, great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Have just had lunch with husband and daughter in law and granddaughter, it was lovely, not too busy. The food was very good, in fact my granddaughter chips where so hot that she had to wait until she had finished her pizza before she could eat them. The person serving us was very helpful and pleasant and chatted to my granddaughter, grace who is 2 nearly 3. Overall a lovely experience and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Really enjoyed our evening in Zizzi tonight, really nice food & excellent service. We were served by Ruby who was brilliant - very welcoming & attentive. She made sure the children had their meals quickly and made us feel at ease while dining out with two young children. We will definitely be back soon!
