First time diners (2). My starter of pappardelle and prawns was very tasty so a good start. The white house wine (Trebbiano D'Abruzzo) was very acceptable. We ordered the Monkfish and Sea bass for our main courses There was about 3 forkfuls of actual monkfish on the plate and the remainder was bone and cartilage so a total rip off for the price. My partners sea bass fillet was nicely cooked but overpriced at around £25.50 (£32.50 for 2 courses which included pear frangipane at £6.80). The pear frangipane was dry because it wasn't accompanied by any ice cream or cream - there was an additional charge of £3 for 1 scoop of ice cream. A few slices of bread and olive oil was also overpriced at £4.50. All things considered, the restaurant was poor value and we would not return.

Best Italian restaurant in South London! The vibe is a small family style restaurant, with a modern inside. Staff are all really friendly. Wine is great and the all of the food tastes really fresh! They have an array of different specials on the board and a good amount of classics on the menu. They They run a deli during the day so it’s mainly all their own produce. Cannot recommend this place enough. You must visit!

For us Le Querce plays an important role in local life. It’s a slice of Sardinia on our doorstep. Le Querce daily with its deli/cafe is always full of very pleasant surprises so we’ve been a bit sad that it’s only open 3 days now. Last Sunday we went to the restaurant part, sat outside in the sun and had a really special 3 course meal and well worth the £39.50 a head.… It was a great menu …the food was beautifully cooked and presented. All in all a lovely food experience.

I was really looking forward to going back to Le Querce after a long gap. Sadly it was a disappointing experience. The evening menu now requires you to have at least two courses, costing £29.80, plus an extra £4.80 for side dishes. Two of us were almost 30 minutes late joining our group due to traffic problems but has to wait another 30 minutes before the orders were taken, with no offer of drinks or nibbles while we waited. The food was still good but our main was 6 not very big pieces of pasta stuffed with potato and cheese in a tomato sauce, which I felt was stingy for the price. One of our group only wanted a main course but we were charged £6.50 for the bread, cheese and olives she shared with another person on top of the set £29.80 for her 6 pieces of pasta. Another chose ice cream for her dessert, which is priced at £3 a scoop meaning her medium sized bowl of pasta with ragu was £26.80. I understand that costs have gone up since Covid but the combination of poor service, high cost and lack of generosity in portion size means that’s the last meal I’m likely to have at Le Querce. It may be because it’s winter but the range of ice cream flavours was far less interesting now as well. I wish I’d not gone back and only had the good memories!

Overpriced, awful atmosphere, average food, not allowed to choose one course only. You are obligated to have 2 or 3 courses. Opted for 2 courses @ £28.50 ,chose bowl of pasta and tart tartin. Puddings individually priced at £6.50 meaning the pasta cost £22.50!!! Pasta was tasty. Tart tartin came by itself semi heated (hot and cold ) and without cream or ice cream . You had to pay an extra £2.50 to have ice cream , which would mean Paying £9 for a small slice of semi heated tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Main course of chicken, dry and tasteless, tiny amount of sauce on a bed of peas with a smear of puréed squash. To have a side of potatoes/ chips cost an extra £4.50 meaning that this tasteless dish cost £27 !! Chips tasted like they’d been cooked in stale oil! The restaurant smelled of off fish!! Will NEVER eat there again.

Very expensive. At the moment you have to buy at least 2 courses (£28.50), even if you only want one course, and, as the price is the same whatever you choose, it makes this another rip off place for vegetarians. Aubergine starter and pasta main, £28.50? My friend had a meat starter and steak main for same price! Beer at £5 a bottle? Also, most of the vegetarian dishes contain Parmesan, so not vegetarian. Disappointed.

We live locally and have fallen in love with Le Querce throughout these lockdowns. Perfect for fresh pasta, fresh fish and other lunch and deli treats. They’re also now delivering meals to home and last night we had an absolutely superb four-course birthday dinner arranged by my husband that catered to my allergy needs (soya, egg and dairy free) and it was all totally delicious - scallops, samphire, sardines, beef ragu, duck breast and lentils with crushed potatoes, and chocolate torte and orange sorbet. All executed beautifully! Such a wonderful wonderful treat and the staff and chef are always so accommodating. Cannot recommend highly enough. Made my lockdown birthday just as special as a real one. My husband and I live locally, and after a few years of intending to pop by, we finally made our first visit last summer (2019). We had a wonderful meal, with plenty of choice; both a standard menu and additional Weekend Specials, since the chef visited the fish markets on a Friday. The food was delicious, it was exceptionally good value, we were made to feel very welcome, and all round a wonderful night was had by all!! Unfortunately Post Covid things have changed a great deal. I don't mind that the menu is now much smaller (that's not an issue) but the quality of food is now average, but worse than that the prices are extortionate. I do get that things have to change because of all the Covid hardships, but I'm afraid locals will no longer be able to support this restaurant at the prices they are now charging for distinctly average food. Pizza/Italian restaurants are very abundant in the Honor Oak area, so Le Querce need to take heed and improve their offering to survive! Not what it once was!! Pretty disappointing.

Visited for dinner with my wife on Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy which was reassuring. This place is not cheap (especially for zone 3 south London!) so my expectations are high. We went for a 2 course set menu (£26.50) and shared a bottle of Prosecco (£25). For starters we both had the homemade tagilitelle with beef ragu... Soooo dry and bland, neither of us finished. There was also no offer of cheese or black pepper (maybe Covid but can’t see why?). Mains came out pretty soon after but were sadly both also pretty unexceptional, duck breast (cold) with some veg and chips (had to pay extra £4 for these) and wife had a fish dish she didn’t enjoy and again had to pay an extra £4 for a side dish to make it an actual meal. After a pretty disappointing dinner we ordered the bill And coffee, which took 25 minutes and three requests to arrive (!!). What frustrated me the most was the automated iPad style payment tablet, which suggest a number of service charge options which start at 15% going up to 25%.... Of course you can adjust this but to suggest that your local customers should consider no less than a 15% tip is quite insulting in my opinion (especially for me who had to wait almost half an hour for the privilege of paying). Two course meal for 2 with wine and service (a generously edited 12%) was £103. Worth it? Definitely not.

The owners are great too, happy to recommend or serve you the same meal every time. Highlights have included savour chocolate gnocchi with sweet potato purée, tuna meatballs and perfect scallops. The pasta is home made and gorgeous (sheep’s cheese ravioli is divine). Then there are the ice creams and sorbets Again the range from the standard flavours done very well to the more challenging garlic or onion. Sorbets are also way beyond the average: pear and Pernod is my favourite, though strawberry and cassis is close second. Try the aubergine ice cream: it’s out of this world.

I am usually very skeptical about restaurants in the area. Le Querce did not disappoint. The manager is Italian and was very welcoming. The wine is probably one of best wines I ever had in London. The raviolis and the apple tart were really good as well and seemed to be homemade. For the apple tart I would have added a bit more pastry, as it can feel that you are having just cooked apples, but that is just my own preference really. There is a wide range of ice creams Rhubarb, garlic... which I would like to try next time. Prices are affordable. There a seats and games for children. Went on the basis of recommendations, but we left utterly perplexed as to why this place is so highly rated. Pasta was merely okay, the pizza too salty, and the sea bass was, well, not sea bass (Tesco frozen haddock fillets I'm guessing). In short, tasteless and questionable food, zero atmosphere, surly staff and bad wine. I'm a little loathe to knock a local restaurant, but the response to our disappointment was a shrug of the shoulders. Perhaps this was just a bad night... but it was extremely poor.

This is a little gem of a restaurant tucked away in a corner of south east London near Hither Green station. The food is reasonably priced - and delicious - and the service impeccable. The ambience is just right. We were served by both a young man, who was polite and attentive, and Mimmo, who seemed to be both friendly maitre d' and chef,. Mimmo proudly told us about the high quality ingredients the restaurant uses, and the way the kitchen employs a traditional Neapolitan, slow fermentation process for their pizza dough. This means they can use less yeast (potentially making the pizza easier to digest). In any case, the pizzas and pasta and salads all went down a treat. He also joked with us about how his daughter, a pâtissière, insists he make all the choux pastry for the desserts from scratch, even though it means it coming in two hours early. (Our table duly wolfed down the chocolate desserts, which were pronounced wonderful.) He also offered tips on pasta and on the best flours for making pizza to a keen cook among us and was generally helpful and informative without being pushy. We all left saying we want to go back soon.

Busy, popular restaurant with great range of choices and particularly amazing breads. Had three courses, including meat and cheese platters for starters, which were lovely. Specials board a little difficult to read (light in way/behind me) - would be nice to have a printed version. Excellent mains, but disappointing tiramisu as sponge fingers were quite dry, which made them chewy - could have done with a Tia Maria poured over them. Overall a great, tasty meal with lovely staff giving a very warm welcome. Bit of a draughty as the front door is opened frequently for customers, and especially delivery bikes picking up collections, but no way round this really. Will be very happy to return again.

Whilst staying at the Premier Inn Hanger Lane for a gig at Wembley we were looking for a quick and easy early dinner . Palm Pizzeria was the ideal choice , handy to collect , very quick service , reasonably priced but most of all very tasty

First time I've ever been to this charming little park...on a beautiful sunny morning I spotted this cafe & thought fabulous I'll have a coffee. As I entered I was putting my mask on and one of the strings broke the mask was still covering my face as I was holding it. To my SHOCK I look up & this man behind the counter (the owner I think) which was at least 2 metres away wearing a mask himself starts to SHOUT AT ME!! The way in which this man spoke to me was actually shocking I've been reading some of the other reviews an this seems to be a reoccurring theme. In this time when so many businesses are struggling we as consumers have a choice were we spend our money and many of us choose to try and support local businesses...this one WONT get my support..this man is a RUDE & is going the right way about ruining his own business
