Amazing x brilliant x wonderful x this is one of my favourite Italians x cosy, warm, intimate, sweet. Food lovely, generous portions, fantastic prices overall very very good

This utterly charming little restaurant is a cosy haven of authentic Tuscan cooking amid the bleak concrete wastelands of Acton and Ealing. The service Is deft and informed, the welcome expansive and the helpings are generous enough to make it one of the best value restaurants in North London.

We loved this place! Daniela the waitress was lovely and the whole team was delightful, and the food was delicious!!

Last minute booking that they were able to accommodate especially given the eat out to help out. Lovely food. Polite staff, smiling and friendly whom I got talking to at the end of the night. The managers and I had a chat and we shared a shot of grappa. Discovered that the waitress - Daniel a - was from a town not far from where my mother in law came from in Portugal. Small world! Thanks for the grappa!!!!we will be back!!!!

Acogedor y agradable, buen ambiente y super comida (especialmente el "Aranchini") que ha ido a la cabeza de mi lista de restaurantes desmorona! ! Definitivamente regresaremos, agradeciendo especialmente al chef Rosario y Gee, a todo el personal. ¿Espero que no hayamos sido demasiado ruidosos?

The food was terrible, dried out, precooked pizza crust with no taste and tasteless and bland tomato sauce. Asked us how it was and when we told him, they said it can't be bad because they "won" an award three years in a row for pizza. The tagliatelle was precooked and leathery and the chicken was absolutely tasteless and boiled. The creme brulee was completely liquid like sweet milk with gravel sized pieces of sugar lurking inside, ready to break your tooth. They then proceeded to overcharge us on the government voucher scheme, insisting that non alcoholic drinks are charged at full price, refusing to change it. The gov.uk site confirms that they are supposed to be discounted also. Also, they refused to remove the 12.5% "optional" service charge as is required by law if asked. We had our kids with us and didn't want to ruin the evening to regrettably, decided to pay. Whatever you do, don't be taken in by the decor which was promising. It all went downhill the moment the food arrived. Go to McDonald's instead, you will enjoy it more, even if you don't think you will.

My first restaurant to have a meal since lockdown, and they didn't disappoint. Service was absolutely brilliant, place clean and precautions taken when you enter restaurant, that is, hand sanitisers provided. The meal was very tasty. So will be heading back soon with more friends.

I've been to this restaurant a LOT of times. Always go for the calzone. Absolutely love it. I remember my dad brought me here for my 13th birthday. It's a very good memory for me. Service is good and everyone is nice. Food is great. I recommend it.

The place is under new management and they seem to be doing everything right. They've brought in the chef from Bella Roma in Lewisham. Our waitress Daniela was very friendly and professional. We'll be back!

Lovely meal at Villa Toscana, with great service from our waitress Daniela. The homemade bread with the starters (bruschetta and polpette) was fresh and tasty, and the desserts were a dream. Would definitely recommend - we’ll be back soon.

We visited on a Sunday evening and were the only customers there. 2 adults and a child the bill came to £87 with service included. We had a starter 3 mains, garlic bread and wine. Cheapest wines in the £20 region. They could do with introducing a carafe or more reasonably priced bottles of house wine like the Gantry and Parlez do. Overall the food was good but a bit on the pricey side.

Visited last week and was amazed with the quality of the food and the overall service. Very authentic Italian food and great friendly staff. Thoroughly reccomend.

Had the Tuna Nicoise and tiramisu, both of which were full of flavour and very well made. The homemade tiramisu was the best I've ever had - the thick creamy topping being a highlight. Very friendly service too from the watresses. Highly recommended.

This is kind of my local Italian restaurant. Really like the food here. Quality is very good I often have the veal and the parma ham is really good. Desert is great.

After a long day of work I came back home without really feeling like cooking, so I went in without expecting much, and I was SURPRISED AND SO SATISFIED by the incredible service and DELICIOUS food. I’ve worked in restaurants before and I know the area well enough to say that this place is simply the best. Daniela was smiling right from the beginning, making me feel at home straight away!Chef Fotri cooked some delicious Canelloni for me, he then came to have a chat and even offered me some limoncello. I mean, was there a better way to finish the evening? Apparently the place had just reopened, so I can only recommend you to go and give it a go! It’s really worth it. I’d give more than just five stars to the place if I could!If you’re a local like me and you’re feeling like you need a calm place to chill or bring in some friends and have some PHENOMENAL Italian food, then THIS is THE place to go! Went in after seeing great recent reviews. £7 for a rocket salad that was half a pack of rocket, four cherry tomatoes and a bit of cheese. Bread came with the pizza, not at the start. Pizza was sloppy,couldn't pick it up. Service was OK, the waitress asked how everything was but when were almost done. Don't normally bother leaving sub par reviews but the great ones on here need balancing.

Went on 07.02.20 after the local press blitz since the new management. We had pollo milanese and spaghetti alle vongole. Pollo was tough and the sauce far to salty. The potatoes it cane with were dry and overcooked. The Vongole sauce was oily and too runny and the clams chewy and tasteless. Pretty dire experience, left sharpish and wont be back. Food as badly cooked as this will not get better. Basic 1st year catering college mistakes.

We opted for a home delivery, but never again. At £60 for two three course meals we were very disappointed. Food was stone cold, delivered just in plastic bags so not surprising. The portions were what could be expected from a ready meal, with powdered mash, no veg, and gravy that was too thin for purpose. The puddings were tiny with melted ice cream. The soup was nice, but then vegetable soup is hard to wreck anyway. A real let down at an expensive price.

The best pizza in London. We will be going back for a pizza&beer soon. Well done new management, we look forward to the next visit.

I Recently Visited This restaurant as I was having a party with my Work Staff I truly Can’t ask For a better Place To Dine The Food Was Amazing we were seated Rather quickly and was Served by the lovely Friendly Staff we also Didn’t have to wait To long for are food to come unlike other restaurant the service is Amazing and so was the food i highly recommended this Restaurant And Definitely Will be visiting Again Soon 👍🏻

This place had a bad reputation for so long I never went in there. Well once but that was 8 years ago. I'm glad to say that bad reputation can be put to bed. Since taking over a couple of weeks ago by the Hoda family, who also own the very successful Italian restaurant Bella Roma in Lewisham. Expect great things. Work has already started on the huge garden at the back of the restaurant, to grow fresh organic vegetables and herbs, to be used in the kitchen. It's my first of many visits today and the food ias always from this brilliant family s amazing. With an extensive menu of freshly cooked authentic Italian food. Trust me on this one, you won't be disappointed. If Google Maps did ten stars this would get it.

Este magnífico restaurante cumple todos mis requisitos. . . . está bajo nueva administración y después de mi visita de hoy, quedé tan impresionado que tuve que escribir mi primera reseña. Desde entrar al restaurante hasta salir de la gerencia y el personal es muy amable, encantador y servicial. Fue muy agradable escuchar al gerente hablar sobre su pasión por servir platos de tan alta calidad y garantizar la satisfacción de sus clientes. Pedí un plato de pasta y estaba absolutamente delicioso! Cocinado a la perfección, la porción era enorme, era evidente que los ingredientes eran de muy alta calidad y eran tan frescos y sabrosos, ¡quedé muy impresionado y definitivamente lo recomiendo!

Food was bland and generic. Meat was found in a vegatarian dish... EDIT - just to add on this. It was a sausage end under the food. Brings to question the cleanliness of the establishment or if they cook vegetarian dishes with meat to try and flavour. Who knows.

One of few restaurants i would go back to, woman serving was very kind and we got given free starter which everyone gets, the food sizes were big and food is so reasonable priced, best carbonara i’ve had!!

My dilemma here is that TripAdvisor doesn’t have a ‘Good’ rating. I personally think there is quite a gap between ‘Average’ and ‘Very good’. So, I have been forced to rate this place ‘Average’ with the proviso that we thought it was ‘Good’. Anyway, enough of that.

Used to visit this restaurant when it was La Lanterna visited twice since change over last 3/4 years not impressed. Found out online that it was under new mangement again so went there this evening very nice food friendly manager so will be returning. This restuarant is back to La Lanterna standard. Nice to have our restaurant back again. Well done to Manager and Chef.

For the money they charge, the quality isn't there. The veg and potatoes were a big let down, as l feel that they definitely were "boil in the bag" and completely tasteless. I don't expect this in an Italian restaurant! Also, l felt that the waiter played a bit of a trick on us, when asked if we wanted to try a glass of wine, from the bottle, he was holding. He made it sound that it was a goodwill gesture. But when the bill came, we were charged £12.00 each for the wine. We were furious and felt duped! The waiter said he would "make it up to us" the next time we went back but l knew we weren't going to go back. Overall not a great experience. Unfortunately, not recommended

It was our 21st wedding anniversary and my wife and I wanted somewhere a bit special for a meal out, but in our locality since we were taking our 15 year old daughter and it was a school night. We had visited this restaurant nearly twenty five years ago, when it was called La Lanterna, and were very impressed with it, even though we thought it very expensive at the time. Perhaps that's why we hadn't been back since ?

Delicious authentic Italian food, super friendly service and very reasonable prices. They have a good selection of veggie dishes; We shared a large starter plate and I went for the special, which was freshly made tagliatelle with asparagus in a creamy gorgonzola sauce - I'm glad I did, it was amazing. Thought we'd give the new management a try at Villa Toscana and we weren't disappointed. Have been back twice since. While the decor may still need a bit of a revamp, the food certainly doesn't disappoint. Authentic pasta dishes made with fresh pasta and delicious range of starters including the calamari and mozzarella and tomato salad. Very reasonable prices that you don't often see in Brockley in comparison to the other gastro-type eateries. Andrea the manager is a fantastic host who kindly agreed to some of menu items as well as treating us to a free garlic bread starter. A true traditional italian, more people need to visit!

Interior is slightly dated but I'm sure will change as new management makes their mark on the place. Great, authentic Italian food at non-london prices. What else is there to say.

Went to Villa Toscana Friday night and had a wonderful time. Andrea the new manager made us instantly welcome and the food was amazing! Had a brilliant Pana Cotta to finish off a great meal. Is not the first time that I try an Italian resturant in England, unfortunately a lot of times the management is not Italian as the name. My girlfriend and I were welcomed to Andrea, the new manager, that showed us the menù and few minutes later we were served. The flavours were fresh and well balanced as proof that the chef really knows how to work, we really enjoyed the dinner. Finally we found exactly what we were looking for: a warm place with friendly staff, and of course, true Italian flavours... We felt at home. I saw some old bad reviews, but I'm sure that Andrea and his staff are going to give you some great moments in this restaurant

Very recent change of management and refurbishment, the restaurant has a lovely feel and ambiance. The arrabiata was delicious, fresh, and presented well. The service was top notch. Actually about to order take away from them right now. Glad I found my new Italian go-to.

Had a large family lunch here... now we booked 2 weeks in advance, there was 25 of us but when we arrive there is only 2 staff working the dining area, nothing is set up as it was our nephews christening... despite it being 30 degrees plus out side not even jugs on water on the tables.. our food orders had already been taken 4 nights before but yet it took 45mins for the starters to arrive, and even longer to clear away the plates... mains was another 40mins.. food had to be sent back because they were cold.. etc etc.. needless to say they are not use to handling large bookings.

We got some food delivered through deliveroo, I guarantee it’s not about being peacky Italians -all the food was absolutely disgusting. As someone says above it’s like frozen, low quality food from the packet. The coliflower we ordered even had those black dots, mold type of thing. I can’t believe this people can still do business selling rubbish instead of food.

Such a strange experience. Uncomfortable atmosphere and the food tasted like low budget frozen packet food. Almost inedible. There seemed to be a real lack of care and quality. If you made good quality fresh food I am sure you would have so many customers?! Make an effort!
