The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

We came here on a Friday night (we had booked) with friends and it was lovely to see the restaurant busy! Food was delicious, fresh, hot and authentically Italian. This was my second time in here since the new owners and it certainly won’t be my last! Thank you for a lovely meal.

Return visit and again not disappointed, every time I’ve been here I’ve been well looked after, food again cooked to perfection. Staff never seem to rush you but want you to enjoy the experience. Great value as well. I’ll be back

Es triste saber que Baracca ha cerrado. Remo, Yvonne y Alain siempre fueron tan acogedores y nada fue nunca demasiado problema. Era el restaurante favorito de 'The Old Birds', y la temporada navideña comenzó con un almuerzo en Baracca. Deseando a la "Familia Baracca" todo lo mejor en su retiro y agradeciéndoles por ser parte y ayudar a crear tantos recuerdos felices y especiales. Todos serán extrañados xx

This is without a doubt, my FAVOURITE restaurant EVER! If you're a fan of Italian food or wanting to try the best roast dinner you'll ever have - this is the place for you. I have been coming here for years, and one of the things that always stands out is the consistency - not just in the food, but in the staff as well. The same friendly faces have been serving me for years, which really adds to the warmth and familiarity of the experience. The food never disappoints, but my absolute favourite dish is the Crab Linguine. It's simply divine - the crab is always fresh, and the pasta is perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce. It's the kind of dish that makes you savour every bite and wish the plate would never end. Their roast dinner comes in at a *very* close second, everything is cooked to perfection & is so, so delicious. It's worth noting that it's a two-hour round trip for me to get here, but it's always so worth it. In fact, this restaurant holds a very special place in my heart - it was where my husband and I had our very first date. The atmosphere is welcoming and cosy, making it the perfect spot for a special meal or a casual night out. Every visit feels like coming home, and I can't recommend it enough to anyone craving top-notch food. The staff truly makes you feel like part of the family! Great food, good value and should be busier for the quality. I was the only person dining on a Thursday evening. House wines were a bit average.

I really enjoyed the sea bream fillet with mussels & white wine cream sauce. Plus, a variety of freshly cooked vegetables. The taste of it was divine. Service was excellent. Coffee, a good flavour. Thank you.

Nunca he encontrado expectativas de dar propina en el mostrador en el Reino Unido. 3 . El café era horrible. Sabía a agua de vajilla y apenas estaba caliente. Mi esposo le dio la espalda y recibió un reembolso (de nuevo no creo que hayamos tenido que hacer esto antes). No desperdicie dinero en explotación, servicio terrible y producto terrible cuando hay un montón de lugares brillantes con un gran personal cerca.

Reservado como cena previa al concierto en Hammersmith Odeon. Personal encantador, servicio eficiente, comida espectacularmente buena. Una delicia absoluta. Dos platos cada uno, un montón de bebidas, £ 114 incl servicio. No puedo recomendar lo suficiente.

I have been coming for years now but the recent visit proved to me again that this place is very special. Great atmosphere, great food.

First time here. A warm welcome is lacking due to a general air of laissez faire where service is concerned. Order taken, food served and then staff noticable by their absence. No checking on you, no follow up if you wanted more drinks. Menu limited and for some reason unbeknown to me the contents of each dish are in such faint print I'd need a microscope to see them. Very bizarre. Food itself good quality if not exceptional. Pizzas lacking flavour.

I found this just by searching good restaurants with good reviews, the classic. But genuinely this lives up to it. Great menu not too busy and every part is done very well with very affordable prices Highly recommend

Me and my friends visited La Porto Norton for Lunch yesterday and it was delicious. The service and food was excellent. We will most definitely be back to try the breakfast menu!
