Best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. Lovely smiley service, speedy, great atmosphere and amazing food. The spaghetti carbonara is the best I've ever eaten! Was so impressed that we booked for the next night as well! I really wish we weren't just on holiday here and we could get an Italian restaurant this good close to home! Many thanks!

Visiting the area staying at local premier inn & passed this restaurant so decided to pop in without a booking! The young lady on the front desk was lovely & after asking her about the history of the place we got the full run down that they had just taken it over! Food & service was spot on lovely! The place could do with a lick of paint & a bit of an uplift but couldn’t fault the food & service! Well done & thank you

Oh dear! One of our favourite places. Today we walked into what looked like a cafeteria. In the past, the tables were set up with cutlery, table cloths and napkins. Today our cutlery and napkins were presented in a tin can, after our food was served. To be fair the food was good. Normally when we go on an early Saturday pm, it is buzzing but not tonight. Please Nelson and family take note. Don’t let Erica and Alex down.

Arrived to a smiley lady who greeted us. Given menus - which had a good variety of foods & a children’s menu. Requested drinks were received quickly with a jug of water that we requested. Starters were served quickly, followed by mains then desserts - food was superb 10/10

Really disappointed, I wouldn’t usually write a review but this was a special occasion and a waste of £60. It was my birthday and my fiancé had planned for an Italian meal as it’s my favourite. We had been so excited all day about going as the menu online looks very nice. When we got there the place looks very quaint and pretty there was only one other couple in there (who also didn’t look very impressed) The service staff weren’t smiling or welcoming which isn’t something you expect for a restaurant as least a smile would have been nice. It took a while for us to get our drinks and olives (the best part of the evening) The food and service was terrible we were so disappointed because we had seen some lovely reviews for this place (I believe these 5* reviews are possibly made up/brought as nothing what they say was how it was) when my fiancés food came out it honestly looked as though someone has already eaten it and thrown it back up, it was a smashed up chicken breast covered in a cheese sauce splatted on a plate, then the side of vegetables came out which consisted of 4 small florets of broccoli, 4 chips, 5 green beans and 3 wafer thin slices of carrot (pieces you would usually throw in the bin) I ordered the carbonara which was tasteless and I didn’t eat it (this is my favourite Italian dish) we really wish we had said how bad it was but didn’t feel comfortable saying so as you never know how they would react and there was no one else there. It really did ruin my birthday and such a shame, we wished we’d gone to the curry house opposite as we feel you could get better food from a Wetherspoons than this place. As my fiancé described it “the worst food he has ever eaten in his life”

We were staying locally for a long weekend and found La Casa on Gmaps. The are very few restaurants in the area and we were very pleased to find this Italian restaurant. It’s quite small, but welcoming and the food we chose excellent. We like Italian restaurants and La Casa did not let us down. The menu is not extensive, but the pasta was good. We were also happy with our wine.

Have had many good meals here previously, and I can’t fault the food. However they are closing/selling the business and have gone down hill massively recently and offer very poor service. We wished to place a takeaway order for 8 people, had confirmed it the night before that we would be placing the order, when phoning up on the day they refused to take the order. Regardless of whether you are selling, it’s extremely poor customer service.

Hidden treasure, delicious food, pizzas fresh from the pizza oven and the lasagna is the best ever !!!! Staff are always so friendly best Italian in the area.

This is authentic and worth a trip. We have been here 2 times to eat inside and tonight a takeaway. The good here is absolutely delicious and the pizzas from the wood burning oven brilliant. Obviously, we will be going back again and again.

I can’t believe I’ve lived in the area for 2 years and not tried this place until today - it’s so good! Delicious, authentic Italian food, lovely atmosphere and brilliant service. We really couldn’t fault it in any way. Loved it and will definitely be going back….a lot!

We have often visited La Casa over the last few years for special occasions, we have always received great service and great food. End of lockdown and our first call for dinning. They offer children’s meals at request, would highly recommend

Stumbled across La Casa whilst stying at a local hotel an we decided to eat out on our penultimate night. We were very pleased with our meal - good menu, well prepared and great friendly service. They were really happy to make alterations for us. We watched the pizzas coming out of the oven and decided that we just had to have one so instead of the hotel restaurant we went back here for our last night and had two delicious Pizzas - probably the best we've had in UKVery inexpensive, nice wine and great service

First time to visit and we weren't disappointed. Loved the little extra touches like complimentary olives to start. We then ordered and 3 had calamari, the other garlic bread with onions, a little burnt but ok. Mains were delicious tagliatelle with vegetables in a creamy white wine sauce. Chicken parmigiana, tagliatelle with chicken and asparagus and a penny chicken cream dish, perfecto. Dessert was panna cotta, home made and affagato. All finished with a complimentary lemoncello. Friendly staff and good value. Pizzas made in the pizza oven, to which you can watch. They did look pretty good. We shall return

Fantastic people, all Italian. Our kids love the pizzas, I love the calzone and you can see them cooking in the wood oven. Great pasta and other dishes - all generous portions. Take away available for whole menu. Would recommend the cod with sea food, spaghetti amatriciana, seafood risotto.

Great little place.. Had to pre order which was a bit annoying but showed being careful and that was great. Food was all lovely.. No complaints.. Had a birthday song and candles on desserts without asking. Perfect.. And the staff were lovely.. Thankyou!

We stumbled across La Casa after our kids demanded pizza but all the pizza places near our holiday camp were full (due to COVID-19 restrictions). It was a pleasant surprise - the pizza was just like what we had in Italy the year before (so my kids were over the moon) and the marinara risotto I had was perfectly made (which doesn't happen often!). The service was impeccable - friendly, welcoming and attentive. And the COVID-19 measures in place were spot on. There were a number of people that turned up that you could tell were regulars, which added to the homely atmosphere of the place. Highly recommend!

One of the best Italian restaurants to go to around this area. Excellent food and lovely people, made a massive effort to make it special for us.

I celebrated my birthday here and it was great choice of food, the menu is different to other Italian restaurants I have been to. The staff was on point and even sang hapoy birthday! I will be going back as I would like to try more on the menu.

We had a very enjoyable tea last night my sister’s and mum and our friends. We were very pleased to still be able to get a large table when we realised it was valentines! They just asked that we had a two hour slot which we were happy to do, they didn’t bring straight away though so I was worried that other people were waiting one of the waiting staff did ask if we were ready to leave and the pay took a while, you always worry that you should pay for what you had when some are drinking, having extra courses, etc, we noticed afterwards the receipt had already split it 7 ways which would have made it much easier and most of us would have paid less than we did! There was a huge choice and specials too. There were already olives and water on the table which I really liked. We shared garlic bread and cheese garlic bread as a starter, this was made in front of you and I am sure the pizza oven was there too. Then we chose meatballs and spaghetti, spaghetti bolognese, chicken and ham in a cream sauce served with veg and sauté potatoes my sister’s also ordered extra sauté potatoes they said they were really good. Spaghetti carbonara and some of us had side salads, I would have liked to have had a dressing on these or on the side. Pudding, I had already seen that the panna cotta was recommended on the reviews and that is my favourite dessert, I was not disappointed, it was thick and creamy with a lovely berry coulis/jam lovely! We had profiteroles a bit different to your usual covered in a chocolate a bit like a mousse, semifreddo, ice cream and sundae, we had tea and cappuccino at the same time to save time, hot drinks served with a lovely milk chocolate mint and more when we paid and a complimentary limoncello! Happy days, the gin and tonic was reasonable too, all the prices were reasonable my meatballs were £8.40, a lovely evening, friendly staff I am definitely visiting again. The only thing which was strange the light kept going dim and bright again and the loo handle in the ladies needs replacing, thank you for a lovely evening.

My wife and I made our first visit to this restaurant last night. Lovely restaurant, good ambience, excellent food, first class service from friendly professional staff and reasonably priced. Booked late for an evening meal and managed to get a table albeit away from the main restaurant area. Prawn starter v good and a lovely chicken dish - chefs recommendation.

A group of us had an evening meal here and once we had finished we waited and waited for the bull. We asked for it and were ignored. We asked again and eventually it arrived.I could not believe that they had added a 10 per cent service charge and was about to complain when one of our group noticed that we had not been charged for puddings.We kept quiet, paid up and off we went.If you're going to charge for service you ought to do it properly.

We decided to try La Casa on advice from friends, and it was brilliant. Great seating for couples, excellent staff and service, and a wide choice of lovely food. Also, the house Rose was as good as I have tasted.

We are regular visitors here now and both the service and food are exceptional! The pizzas are fabulous.

The entrance to the restaurant is over a small bridge across a stream, lit up by coloured lights. A welcoming approach.

We have eaten here many times and recently took some friends here. The food and service was excellent. The quality and value for money takes a lot of beating.

We live locally and several people have recommended this restaurant. My partner just went to get some takeaway pizza and I was honestly appalled. I ordered the vegetarian pizza and it was totally tasteless. Only one third of the pizza was even covered with cheese and vegetables - the rest was just dough (which was a rip off in itself). The vegetables were over cooked and tasteless, the dough was tasteless, the whole pizza was tasteless in fact. I never usually write negative reviews but was so appalled by the quality of this pizza, I felt it was important. Perhaps they were just having an off day, who knows. But seriously unimpressed.

Really friendly and attentive staff. Delicious wine and food- I had the muscles starter and seafood linguine as a main. I couldn’t fault it.

We visited here on the 18th July my birthday and for the very first time ! We were so pleasantly surprised what fantastic service so attentive all evening the food was excellent and very reasonably priced . This restaurant is so friendly we just couldn’t fault it so we have booked to go back again this Friday and can’t wait ! Go to this place you will not be disappointed !

Admittedly there were 7 of us on a Friday night, but the restaurant was understaffed and we had to wait almost an hour and a half to place our order.

We tried this restaurant for the first time recently,for a lunchtime meal,and felt that we were on hold in Italy..Great service,and ambiance.

My wife & I again pre-booked a table for two for our anniversary meal, as we love Italian food then this was our choice. we arrived & the restaurant was not busy at all, we managed to park outside this time.

Much hyped and keenly anticipated having just moved to the area after spending a lot of time in Italy. Location was ok, a bit rustic. Service was good, debatable why I was given a spoon with my pasta. Menu was nothing special, nothing exciting just Italian dishes from the seventies. Dessert was not good. Overall the meal tasted ok, but again not a stand out fresh taste experience like Italian cooking should be. Bill was ok, not too expensive which was good !

We came here for a Friday night dinner (do book ahead!) and were completely charmed by this place. Even on entering the place you cross a cute little bridge, the staff are charming and you are greeted with a large bowl of complimentary olives on your table whilst you browse the menu. We went for the pizza-the classic!- and they were two of the best pizzas we have had outside of Italy! Tasty dough, great toppings and generous sizes-we took our leftovers home in a takeaway box and heated them in the oven the next day-still just as good! We shared a yummy tartufo dessert and were also offered complimentary limoncello before setting off home. We can’t stop raving about this place and can’t wait to come back!

My wife & I pre-booked a table for two for our anniversary meal, as we love Italian food then this was our choice. we arrived & the restaurant was not busy at all, parking outside was a small issue as it is a shared car park with the restaurant next door - so we had to park across the road.

Lovely meal catching up with my daughter. Delicious starters . Excellent Pasta . Service excellent . Felt sorry for the waitress as she was the only one serving the whole restaurant .

I only recently found out that, at last, we had an Italian restaurant quite nearby, so I booked a table for my wife and I. We liked it because it was very good. We had been to the same premises before when it wasn't an Italian. The inside looks much the same except for the addition of an open pizza oven area and the pictures of typical Italian holiday destinations.

Four of us re-visited La Casa for my husband's birthday dinner. Garlic bread with mozarella was delicious and our pizzas good. Their prosecco by the bottle is very reasonable for a restaurant and of decent quality. The service was a little slow as they appeared to be short staffed but this was not a problem for us. Complimentary limoncello was offered. I would say that the restaurant now looks in dire need of re-decoration internally and a clean up of the sign outside as it is barely legible and makes the place look a bit neglected. Otherwise a good experience.

Food was not more than ok. Service was terrible. One waitress was nice but didn't know her job. The other couldn't care less about us, and when I said service was bad she was rude and said it's because we were late. We were late, but don't think it's a reason for bad and rude service.

We had an excellent meal. This restaurant has a great ambience and despite being a Monday evening was very busy. There is a wide choice on the menu and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

I was lucky enough to book a table for 7 people at the last minute which was lucky on a Saturday night.The service was excellent and the selection of food very good.we all enjoyed the dishes we had and felt it was very reasonably priced .I would recommend booking a few days ahead if you can as it can get booked up..

Lovely venue and a fantastic hand made pizza, authentic and far better than alot of those big chains. The staff were very helpful and friendly and it was reasonably priced too. Will be going back soon. 😃

We’d been recommended this place by a friend and as we live close by we had high hopes. The two women working there were friendly enough but the pizza oven guy was miserable. Possibly just having a bad day.

This used to be a better restaurant than it is now. The pizzas are average but some of the pasta dishes, especially with cream sauces are way to heavy to be commended. The decor is more salt in need of updates. The ceilings look very dirty and so do the walls above the radiators. Toilets are also overdue for an update.

Top dollar for poor cooking and ingredients. 'will think seriously before returning. It's a shame as the owners appear to have paid attention to the decor and ambience.

We used to go to this restaurant frequently but stopped as Pizza’s changed. We ent last night as we thought it might have changed, unfortunately the Pizza was not cooked on the bottom they were both thickish not authentic thin and crispy. Staff always polite and happy,but it was very slow seemed like takeaways were slowing it down.

Cannot fault this restaurant, been twice now and the service was quick, food delicious and hot and fresh olives were on the table free of charge. Yes parking can be a bit on the small side but there is a car park down the road If need be and disabled parking is provided too. Will be going back!

Always good to see an independent restaurant busy on a Tuesday night. Part of a table of ten, where we had pre ordered our choices. A very enjoyable evening, the food was lovely and the service very good. I had chosen the calzone, which was enormous and I thoroughly recommend. The parking is a little limited as there is an Indian restaurant next door, but there is parking a very short walk away down the road.

After being so local my family and I decided to try it out and were met with burnt pizza, over cooked risotto and oily garlic bread. So many people have so many good things to say and it's always packed whenever I drive past but I'm honestly not sure what all the fuss is about ....

Nice little restaurant but quality of food was not great. I had the Bruschetta to start with and it was way too crunchy seemed like it was made out of stale bread that had gone really hard! I then had the spinach cannelloni as my main and it was dry and lacked flavour. The Tiramisu was good though. Staff was friendly. Beware parking can be a pain so go nice and early.

We went to la casa expecting an authentic Italian meal ! We were left disappointed My wife ordered the chefs special to start scallops in the chefs own sauce (hienz tomato soup ) I ordered crab claws which turned out to be imitation from Iceland no doubt ,We laughed as our burnt pizza bread came out to accompany our starter ,We waited in anticipation for our main meals my wife ordered the chefs special again Mediterranean fish platter £17.95 (£3.00 in Iceland ) I ordered the veal escalopes withSpaghetti only to find that like my wife's main course it was out of a packet and badlyReheated the spaghetti tasted like hienz spaghetti out of a tin ,By this point we were quite worried about the chef wondering if he had paper cuts onHis hands from opening so many packets I don't think any of the food presented to usWas prepared by a chef unless you count opening the packet,When I go to a restaurant and pay restaurant prices I expect the food to be fresh andPrepared on site , the only Italian thing about this restaurant is the staff who I must say Were very good,This isn't sour grapes my favourite food is Italian and I go out to eat it at least once A week , it's such a shame as this restaurant could have it all good atmosphere good staff , just need a chef who can cook proper food from start to finish

This restaurant serves the best pasta that I have ever eaten and the staff do it with a smile - albeit service itself may be rather slow on occasion. When we were last here I had the spaghetti carbonara and my partner had the chicken, both equally good and such large helpings that we had to have a doggy bag (in fact a rather dainty box!). Space is limited and the restaurant is obviously popular so it can be a bit hot and noisy. We think that is a fairly small price too pay for the wonderful food.

Staff dismissive when we arrived - a smile is always welcoming. My food was very peppery and left an unpleasant greasy taste in the mouth. Tiny portions of vegetables and frozen wedges passed off as sauté potatoes. The spaghetti accompanying the veal looked as though it had been put on the plate straight from a tin.The pudding menu reminded me of something out of a Wimpy bar with stock photographs of the puddings - would have been much better typed out in the same way as the main menu. The main restaurant area appeared to be very noisy and I am not sure the TVs were necessary just some beautiful artwork would suffice. The whole place needs a spit and polish to justify its prices. Decor is dated, toilets shabby and very strange swing doors to access them. The railings over the entrance bridge are rotten and held together by tape and the pots gave more weeds than plants - a shame as could be very pretty in the evening. Such a shame as could be fantastic. Having said all of the above I would revisit picking different food as so many others rave about it.

This used to be on our list of places to eat but we went last week and it's well and truly off the list now. As a couple we were sat away from the main room in a kind of corridor, so that's a zero for ambience. Everything on the table was filthy, salt, pepper, candle holder etc just plastered with greasy fingerprints, and the window we sat beside was so dirty you could hardly see out. If front of house is filthy what are we to assume about the kitchen? The single highlight were the staff - polite, efficient and friendly service. But the defining feature was the food. Overcooked pasta swamped in a tasteless mush sauce. Seafood risotto no better. I've had better school dinners. You couldn't pay me to repeat that meal.

My daughter asked to go to lacasa for her birthday, which was a very enjoyable evening. The service was excellent, efficient friendly staff. The food was also excellent.We all enjoyed the occasion especially when the staff sang happy birthday. Many thanks for a great evening Alex. See you soon.

We had dinner here for the first time despite living fairly locally. The restaurant was fairly full and busy but the staff coped very well and were efficient and friendly at all times. The atmosphere was great and the food was first class. We will without doubt become regulars!

Only had a take away from here so cannot comment on the restaurant. We are not locals. Rang to place the order and the woman who answered very offhand, very cold. The pizzas were nice, not overwhelming. Quite thick pizza bases. On collection staff quite cold too. Very odd??

I came here with my two children and we had a lovely family meal. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My son loved his pizza and I enjoyed my risotto. I tried my daughters lasagna and wasn't over keen on the taste and I don't think my daughter was that enthusiastic either, but that being said it wasn't badly cooked, so I think it's just a matter of taste, but I wouldn't recommend it. I wasn't over or underwhelmed, being out with my children was the best part. Would I rush back? Probably not.

Service was excellent, friendly and relaxed. The décor was interesting yet still had a homely feel. We had a hard time trying to pick out what we wanted from the menu because it all sounded so good. We were all very impressed with the quality of the food and the presentation when it arrived. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again. Simply delizioso!

I was here for lunch yesterday with a friend and it was lovely. We were given complimentary olives and a jug of water without having to ask. Nice linen napkins. My friend had crab claws and I had penne with broccoli and bacon. Everything was lovely. Very nice staff too. Well done, As we were on our way somewhere we didn't have time for a dessert!

Great Italian, fab food, Alex, Erica and their team provide a great place to eat with family, friends or as couples. Calamari is always a winner....Pollo Gorgonzola is lush. Alex makes fantastic pizzas.Definitely worth a visit.

We were welcomed very warmly and offered a choice of seating, the restaurant itself was pretty chilly, so our coats were kept on! The starters came and they were ok, my husbands main (seafood risotto) was good but my carbonara for me just had too much sauce. Sadly the desserts were a let down, clearly pre-bought, which seemed a shame as they had gone to so much trouble with the main course.

Went to La Casa for a family meal. The food was good. The price was reasonable. Service is good if you are not in a hurry. Would recommend it!
