Came in with my son, who works with Italian chefs in a kitchen, I'm a chef myself.. had a good selection of items from a varied menu & everything was faultless, very good standard 👍

Order took over 2 hours to be delivered and was cold when it arrived. Appalling

This pizza is the bees knees. Cannot recommend it enough. Tasty and doesn’t come with a soggy bottom! The dessert options are to delectable too!

My partner and I brought our dog to the restaurant and sat outside enjoying the sunset while we ate pizza and a carafe of the house wine which were both delicious. The staff were all attentive and very kind. Highly recommend the calzones. Looking forward to returning.

Dropped in on Friday night without a booking. The restaurant was full inside but we asked if we could sit outside as it was a gloriously hot evening. Our waitress could not have been more obliging in laying us a table. Good Italian menu (I can recommend the duck risotto). Our drinks were a little slow coming but we were not worried because we were given a large jug of iced and lemoned water on arrival. Nonetheless they refused to charge us for the drinks and were so apologetic. We had a lovely time watching the world go by. Thank you PDRINO

I went out here to eat dinner with my family but the moment we got the food the pizza was already cold. The ventilation was noisy, house wine and tiramisu were not very good either.

Rochester Sweeps and we hadn't booked but they fitted us in. We enjoyed Caprino pizzas and a salad. They were delicious. The half carafe of house red was inexpensive and lovely. Highly recommended.

This is our fourth visit, and probably third time calling in without booking, and as always they managed to fit us in. Always a warm welcome whenever we’ve visited. Can’t fault the service at all. All the food at Padrino’s is amazing, I always feel spoiled for choice. Pizza is reliably good quality, fresh and tasty. Not to mention amazing tiramisu and a decent cocktail menu! The restaurant and facilities are always spotlessly clean, too. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Rochester.

I almost don't want to leave this review, because it might make the restaurant more booked up. But this is probably my favourite Italian restaurant, and I cannot fault it in any way. The food for starters is proper Italian food, really high-quality and plenty of options on the menu. The prices aren't extortionate, and the staff are extremely kind. My favourite thing about this place is the atmosphere when they have all the candles lit and the fairy lights on the ceiling. It is so pretty and especially in the evening it makes the whole experience of eating here even more worthwhile. I came here for the first time a few years ago and whenever I can I always come back. Make a reservation though on peak times as it is understandably busy on Weekends and such.

Great service and lovely knowledgeable staff. Excellent food. Not sure Aviici, Olly Murs and Rhianna goes with the ambiance. House white wine is like paint stripper. House red is also pretty grim.

First time there friendly staff good food

Very handy for a bite before an evening event at the cathedral as they are open in the afternoon. Many restaurants didn't open until 6, so this suited us. Great food and service, and pretty good value for money. Nice atmosphere and we had a lovely waiter.

A lot of dough with no topping or filling in the case of the calzones. Harassed to take our order. Not convinced the goat’s cheese on my pizza was actually goat’s cheese. Side salads meagre. It was cold in there. Yes it was very cold outside but I don’t want to need to keep my coat on when I go into a restaurant. Carafe of red wine was good value and tasty. But it’s a pizza restaurant and it does not come up to the mark in a competitive arena. Will not be going back.

Not that Italian. On Meerkat app but only when it's convenient for them. The prices are way too high for the quality of food. Half of the food was good, half was average. Bathrooms were not very clean and no sope.

Booked the bottomless brunch for my friends birthday. Good choice of what brunch drinks you would like and there was many pizza choices, even a calzone! The waitress who served us throughout was amazing, she was so friendly, down to earth and to be honest she made the experience for us. But… Someone called Tom who worked there (unsure if he was the manager) spoke to us like we were children in school. We all agreed we have never been spoken to like that in a restaurant. My friend ordered the unlimited pizza brunch, on the 3rd pizza she asked if we would all like some, I ate the crusts. Tom came over and stated… ‘’Now, I notice the pizza is in the middle of the table. Now I’m going to give you a chance to tell the truth (sorry, who the hell does he think he is). Either you finish the pizza on your own and you can order another one. Or you all finish it and you are not ordering another one.’’ I’m sorry, but we have all bloody paid for this brunch, was does it matter? All together we spent £132 and what the hell does it matter if we was sharing one bloody pizza? It’s a freakin slice!! None on the other waitresses minded? I don’t get what his problem was. Also, as we were about to leave, I said to the waitress. Do you need this table as my friend is just finishing her cocktail? She said ‘’ no no, don’t worry we don’t need it yet. If so, I’ll let you know to go’’. Not a problem! 2 minutes later, Tom came over with the teacher face on, getting ready to tell us to leave. I spoke up before he even had the chance to say to leave. Even though this is very long winded, we had an amazing time. But they have lost customers and we will not be returning due to Tom treating us like children. But I hope the waitresses get the recognition they deserve because they are the people pleasers and are very good at their jobs!

Excellent service and delicious pizzas - just like the ones in Italy! We went as a table of 9 and every one of our party were delighted at both the quality of food and of the service .Several of us had pasta dishes which were also well cooked and very tasty .The children had portions that were huge! I had the tagliatelle bolognese which was delicious and the garlic bread pizzas were better than any l have had before . This is a small restaurant but they coped well with our party on this Sunday evening.

Haven’t visited padrinos in quite a while, so was excited to find they have a new menu. The Pappardelle was absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef! The cocktails are so refreshing, particularly liked the strawberry orange spritz! Pia our waitress was lovely too. Would definitely recommend and would visit again!

First time here with friends from the USA and all my family. The staff were all friendly and professional. My daughter had a problem on the way and called to say they would not make it. No problem. Then she called back 20 minutes later and said they were now on the way. No problem again. Starters were sorted and on the table as the arrived. And great starters too. The buratta was amazing. In fact all the starters were very good indeed. Garlic bread, carbonara and arancini all top quality. Main courses were great too. Pizzas were Napoli style and perfectly done. Calzone was said to be perfect by my husband who is from Naples. Pastas were rich and tasty too. Roasted garlic chicken, my choice, was tender and moist. The fennel with lemon set it off perfectly. The deserts were very good. Creamy tiramisu was had by most but the gelato was very good too. The best was mine, the bamballino, nuttela filled mini doughnuts, just wow. The restaurant itself is like many in Italy, nice things on the walls , very clean . Very nice relaxed athmosphere. We were there in the afternoon 2pm and eventually left at 5.20pm. But at busier times your booking is for 90 minutes which is fine. All ten of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the staff were fantastic.

Delicious pizza - that dough was perfect! Staff were friendly and helpful, despite it being really busy. Reasonably priced and great location. We'll definitely be back here again soon.

I went today for dinner. We had a pizzas. Both pizzas was fabulous. It was a proper Italian style pizza. The girls was very nice✨. I’m just gonna suggest to make little bit more big pizza but expect this everything was superb. Oh yeah in the end the give to us a very nice message on the receipt. Appreciate that. Gonna come back again🎉

Worst service I’ve had anywhere post lockdown. Pizza good. Booked with friends for a bottomless brunch. We were seated inside and it was so noisy (at 3:30 pm) we couldn’t hear each other speak. A large group was kept waiting next to our table for around 30 mins and added to the noise problem. Our food and drink order was taken immediately - but they had to come back to double check both orders several times. 15 mins later the pizza arrived, and my drink was the only one that hadn’t. After chasing it up my very simple beer (everyone else on cocktails) arrived. The pizza was good, and all arrived as we ordered, no problems with the food at all. We asked to move outside after we had eaten, and it was much more pleasant. When I went to order a second beer, I had roughly two mouthfuls left. I was told by the waitress I’d have to finish those last two mouthfuls before she could get another ‘because we are very strict’. So I took a sip. And was told to drink a bit more. Never felt so demeaned in my life! What an odd experience! And to make matters worse, after rushing me to finish my drink she never returned with a new one. I had to go into the bar to chase it. There was no queue, and no one was backlogged making drinks. So no excuse. The cocktails all contain approx 4 shots of alcohol per litre (we were shown the recipes when asking what was in which cocktail as the waitress wasn’t sure) so very watered down and they weren’t great. Go for Prosecco or beer. Absolutely awful service, not one of the waiting staff had a clue what was going on - they were all very young and would benefit from some experienced leadership. And being forced to down 2 mouthfuls of backwash, and then not given my ordered drink - an absolute shambles. Avoid other than for takeaway.

After spending a lovely day out in 30C weather my partner and I were looking for a gelataria in Rochester. We knew Padrino offered Hacket Gelato in their restaurant so popped in to see if they offered takeaway. The friendly guy in there said they did gelato in cones, and rattled off the extensive, 4 flavour selection. So, we had Salted Caramel flavour and waited whilst he fetched our gelato. Well, we were handed two cones with a scoop of "gelato" which barely peaked over the top of the cone. At £3.00 each we were hoping for a more substantial scoop. As for the quality, the "gelato" was stale, as was the cone. So, a big thumbs down to gelato at Padrino. Would we go there again for gelato? Nope! Would we go there for dinner or lunch, or any other food.....nope. First impressions count, even more so in the competitive restaurant business. So I'm afraid that Padrino failed at the first hurdle, a simple gelato cone. Sorry guys, but if your gelato doesn't cut it, why would the rest of the menu?

Came for the brunch which is £25 for pizza, dip and unlimited Prosecco. The food is great and the waiter was so nice. You get the brunch for 90 mins (for us until 4pm), and about an hour in we asked for a second bottle and were told by the waitress no, as there was only 30 mins left. We therefore managed to get a half bottle, then at 3:50 we asked for one more glass, and were told no because they would stop serving it at 3:55 and it was “basically almost 3:55”?! Fortunately the other waiter came over shortly afterwards and gave us another glass. All in all it’s good value for money and the food is amazing but don’t appreciate them making up new stingy rules! Would come back for dinner but perhaps not the brunch.

This place is a secret gem. The staff are beyond excellent. Nothing is too much. One of our party had allergies and they really took note of what she couldn’t eat and made sure her meal was perfect. There are other Italian restaurants in Rochester but if you haven’t been here you definitely need to try it.

Lovely friendly Italian. We had Nduja and four cheese sourdough pizzas. Absolutely delicious. We definitely recommend.

Delicious lunch outside on the pavement. Lucky to have secured such a nice spot to enjoy a fine pizza with the freshest tomato and mozzarella plus s bowl of fresh pasta. Lovely staff too.

Thought we’d try using a local pizza takeaway instead of one of the chains. 110% will now make Padrino our go to for takeaway pizza. Looking forward to going in and trying their other food on the menu. A local treat.

Was considering Pizza Express on the High St but thought we'd give this place a try - so glad we did! The food & service were amazing: authentic, home-made pizza bases which had blistered & risen showing proper prep & hot oven. The kids loved the colouring sheets & the kids menu is good value. The homemade lemonade was particularly delicious, as was the bombolini dessert. Waiting staff very friendly, accommodated some changes. Really great restaurant.

Great service from the start, used the meerkat meals deal for 2-4-1 mains. Had the burrata, padron peppers and foccacia for starters and all were lovely! Then a calzone and truffle tortelloni for mains which were incredible. Best Italian food I've had in the UK. Lovely drinks and a nice tiramisu to finish. Thank you! Took my daughter there because of the vegan /vegetarian options looked good .we had a starter to share and a vegetarian pizza and tortellini vegan dish The pizza was a good size and tasted good but the toppings were on the sparce side compared to other pizzerias The pasta dish was tiny ,5 pieces! The size of a starter and at £13 not good value for money and hardly filling although it tasted nice I questioned this with the waiter who actually agreed with me and said he would talk to chef when he wasn't cross,we weren't offered money back or desert to make up for it I was disappointed with our meal out and won't be back unfortunately Interestingly as we were leaving a lady on another table was making a complaint about the size of her salad as a main meal ,it's obvious it's an issue that needs to be addressed before they lose more custom

We always visit Padrino's when in Rochester visiting family. The service was prompt, friendly and very efficient. The food, a mixture of pastas and pizza, was really great. I thoroughly recommend this as a great place to eat!

Simply the best pizzas in town in a great atmosphere with many pictures of Italy adorning the walls. I enjoyed the quattro fromagio with some chilli oil drizzled on top, super delicious followed by profiteroles and an excellent cappuccino. Highly recommend the dining experience here with great friendly service provided by all the front of house team and wonderful food from the kitchen. Highly recommend!

We went to this place yesterday, we asked a member of staff if we would have time for a pizza 5.25pm and need to catch a coach at 6pm, she said not a problem. The meal came at 5.45 so left short of time but the worst thing was one pizza was very burnt absolutely awful. They did not charge for this but would not go back

Delicious pizza, far from the general fast food standard pizza, nice service!

On arrival we noticed a breeze. We asked if there was a door open to which the waitress told us that the staff were really hot so they’ve opened the door. People around us then started to put their coats on. After ten mins we had to ask them to shut the door. served a pasta dish with no sauce. It’s only that we asked for the sauce that they told us the chef forgot. Forgot to bring 2x side dishes of broccoli by the time the broccoli came the meals were half finished. Broccoli was also completely unseasoned, straight from the packet. Was an extra £2 for garlic oil or any dressing. The waitress offered us parmesan with our pasta dishes. When the bill came we had been charged £2 per pot of Parmesan. I told the staff that I’ve never been to an Italian restaurant and been charged for Parmesan. The staff told us that they think it’s strange too and we were also informed that they’re told to upsell sides like this. Very deceiving. All in all if you want an alright pizza come here. If not go elsewhere in the high street.

My partner and I had the most lovely experience. Although busy (a good sign in my opinion) managed to squeeze us in after a short wait. Staff were fab, food was delicious. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.
