Bit of a sad end to an evening out, the food was ok, nothing special but ok, with exception to their caramel apple crumble that was very dry (we could of had cream with it but when it arrived we were told that would be extra so didn’t bother). When I went to order I waited patiently, then a family that had been standing a good distance from the counter on their phone just stepped in front of me and we’re served straight away, while I still had to wait so I was not impressed with the service. On top of this we did not see any of the staff as much a smile the whole time we were there, it’s like none of them were happy being there, with no effort to make a visit to this establishment a pleasurable experience for the customer

Omg, the worst place ever. The staff are rude and do not acknowledge your presence. Bottled water is 3 quid!!!! The children's menu is just scoops of ice cream, if they want pancakes then you have to buy adults pancakes. By the time my waffles came everyone else had stopped eating. Cutlery was dirty. Won't be returning.

Been a few times before and loved it but not this time. Beware some of the reviews on here giving 5 star as they look like they’ve been paid for. On Facebook, currently 24 of 26 people do not recommend this place. Staff were unwelcoming. Didn’t even say hello when ordering just waited for me to speak. Food came out slowly: First the child’s ice cream, 5 minutes later my waffle, 10 minutes later the last two cookie doughs. The child’s ice cream served in a small plastic cup was a rip off for £6.95. My waffle was alright. Adult cookie dough was the same size as a child’s and looks absolutely nothing like the menu so we got a refund for that. Then found a large hair in the child’s cookie dough so got a refund for that. The place felt miserable and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s met the end of its time.

Just got a takeaway order, staff are rude and miserable. Looked like it was a hard job just to serve us. I would understand if it was 5 minutes before closing but it wasn’t.

I ordered the coffee with a cake . It was very delicious and with reasonable price, I was very impressed with the service, quality of food and coffee. I will definitely be back and also highly recommend to others.

Very unwelcoming, including the staff. Waffle arrived 15 minutes before the other 4 desserts. Pancakes were cold, waffle tasted of nothing but flour. The toilets were dirty, the place generally was not clean or welcoming. I’d definately not be recommending to friends & will sure be looking for a different cafe next time.

Well first time we have ever visited a Creams and definately won't ever visit this branch again. Staff were awful, so unfriendly! They all looked so fed up and unhappy! Not one of them was welcoming or even smiled. Went up to order. They all carried on doing what they were doing looking glum. No one rushed to serve us even though hardly any customers there. Guy who served us didn't even greet us? Just stood there! Server who brought our foid & drinks over never smiled,was just a horrible atmosphere! Yes i know its an ice cream based shop but in this day & age shoukd be more vegan choices including milkshake plant based flavours like vanilla would of been nice. The vegan waffle was flavourless. So many other places do so much more for vegans. Horrible experience!!

Avoid! Dirty, run down and staff who couldnt be more unenthusiastic if they tried. My daughter was excited because it was her 4th birthday, so told the 2 members of staff behind the counter and they barely looked up. Ice cream was average at best. Menus old and dirty, holes in seats.... dont even think about using the toilets.

I do not recommend this creams. I think that it is clearly quite dirty, the place doesn’t look clean and the kitchen is always messy with food everywhere. The staff are very blunt and don’t say anything really and seem like they aren’t that bothered about customers. I do love a creams and on a light note the food is generally okay here it’s not the best I have had at a creams but it is still tasty.

We stood waiting to be seated for a while only to be told to sit wherever we liked. Only had one menu for a group of 4. Food comes at all different timings meaning you cannot eat a nice meal together. The food was nice though.

I used to work here a little while ago staff aren’t treated well I did go a single shift without someone crying in the back there where some pretty awful things that went on there including THE MANAGER severing non vegan food when it was ordered to be vegan.staff received little to no training and they are unwilling to fire bad or rude staff and would normally just tell the customer it was their first day to explain there action even if they had been there for months over all I would never eat or work here again

Walked in and thought the place was closed, many lights not on and no staff to great us. After standing at the “wait to be seated” sign, we looked around and was indicated by a member of staff to sit anywhere. We weren’t offered menus we had to go hunt them out. The state of the menus really does reflect the negativity of the staff here. Lots of stuff advertised but not available. Staff gave the impression they didn’t wish to be there. Place looked unloved. When asking for cutlery some had to be washed up. Our food arrived at different times and again no proper service. I am a “tipper” but there was no way I was tipping this service. How this place stays in business I don’t know. A half term treat that won’t be repeated, and it wasn’t at all busy. No excuses other than staff that clearly hated the place.

Sad offerings. Toppings were absolutely minimal. Oreo waffle was literally like a little bit of dust left from the bottom of an empty packet. Minimal sauce, dry waffle. Definitely gone down hill here. Dirty tarnished menus & ripped seats to boot. Definitely won’t be back

Massively disappointed! My little family went today to encourage our autistic son to try new foods. So always try to make is a positive experience. As we arrived and stood near the sign that said wait to be seated, we were pointed at tables so assumed we could chose our own seating. Sat at a table and waited but no menus arrived. Went to the counter to collect sticky menus. Returned to the counter and placed my order. Was told no hot drinks available, so had to go without. Less than 5 minutes later (we were the only ones in there at 5:30pm) our desserts arrived. One basic Mr Whippy ice cream sundae (had to make our own from the overly complicated menu) with chocolate shavings (£2) and another sundae (£8.95!). There really is no justification for the significant price difference. We sat and waited for eating apparatus but none arrived and no mention on their arrival, so I had to go hunting. The sundaes themselves were on par with the local ice cream van to be honest. The service was appalling and tables were left with dirty plates on them, yet no customers and half the shop was in darkness. Definitely won’t be returning and feel Creams has lost its spark and is no longer fit for purpose.

Today I took my 7 year old granddaughter and my two daughters for a treat this afternoon. This branch was very quiet just a few tables with customers . We wanted to sit in a booth but they were dirty plates and cups on them hadn’t been cleared away . We sat in the middle of restaurant. Not a friendly smile or any greeting when we entered . We ordered our deserts and a milk shake as they said no hot drinks available today . We had to collect our own cutlery and asked for another straw for my granddaughter to share milkshake the man at the counter was not happy to give us another one , but did eventually. Got to say how miserable they were , thought I was at a funeral parlour. For goodness sake it half term and children are coming in here for a treat ! So sad as the pancakes were lovely just the staff bringing it all done ! Very disappointing!

Absolutely disgusting service the rudest staff I have ever encountered, in fact im not surprised it was virtually empty, went for an after school treat with my grandsons , our desserts and drinks were slammed on our table , when asked where we got cutlery and serviettes from , we were told "over there " Won't be visiting again you have ruined our evening, it was meant to be a special treat for my grandchildren as I work many hours and don't get much time with them . P.s we also found a hair in one of the desserts!!!!!

This isn’t a review on the food, we had no issues with the food. We visited on a Monday and was the only people in, excluding the 3 staff members. It wasn’t busy. The restaurant was filthy. Dirty cutlery left in booths, a stack of dishes to be washed left on display, the tills were streaky with mud from presumably shoes. The restaurant floor was dirty with again cutlery and general mess on the floor. Cutlery provided was also sticky and streaky. Again, no issue with food but restaurant was filthy.

Shocking really. Usually go to the Rochester one. Order did not go through to their system despite my payment on here. When that was sorted i waited ages at the store, prehaps 40+ minutes as others were served before telling them that my birthday girl at home was getting upset. The lady them picked my order that had been on the top for ages and appologised. I then ran to my car and drove home as fast as i could to my daughter. Really poor. Will never be going there again.

Food was lovely, we had nicely presented waffles, they tasted great, and we're reasonably priced. The only reason i gave 3 rating is for this reason. What let's the place down is the atmosphere, half the resturant was in total darkness and unused and for a Saturday night I would have expected it to be busier? but there were more staff than customers and I think that says a lot about this place. Nobody was smiling, very dismissive service, not overly poor just got the impression it was more of a chore to serve you than friendly and welcoming. Toilets are grim, somebody had made off with the toilet brush? (possibly it had disolved in the dark brown urine left in the bowl?) there are old water spots and lime scale marks everywhere. Doubt they've had a good clean in a while. Same goes for the main restaurant it just seems like it could do with a decent clean and maybe a bit of a refurb it looks tired. I remember when creams first opened the experience was much better, desert should be fun and exciting but frankly it was a bit of a fun sponge.... Don't think I'd use this particular branch again.

My side order of custard had a strange taste, and 'bits' in it! The staff replaced the order without question, but when I asked them to cut open the custard carton, there were large green lumps of mildew inside. Lovely! There was no suggestion of a refund. Pretty poor service from staff who SO OBVIOUSLY didn't have a clue, and couldn't care less. The overall theme of the majority of these reviews is that the place is always dirty and is run by young and inexperienced staff, yet the hygeine standards never seem to improve. You'd think that after one or two negative reviews they'd improve things drastically but evidently not. Maybe the management share the same 'don't give a damn' attitude as the staff? I'll not be going back there again!

Disgusting customer service at Creams Rochester. Just visited and it was a shambles from start to finish. Assuming the rude man that served me was the manager, as he was in his own jumper and shirt, was inept, had zero product knowledge, struggled to work the til, and forgot to ask about sides. I went back up straight away when I realised he hadn’t processed the order incorrectly and he said he’d get on it. The people who ordered after me got their food and drinks first of waffles and milkshakes. Is it harder to make a cup of tea then a milkshake then? And the tea never arrived! When the food turned up it wasn’t as described and look very unappetising, also missing the sides that I went and corrected. Told the waitress and then waited 10 minutes for nothing. Taking the food back up and untouched as it was now cold and extremely unappealing. I tried to explain to the same guy what had happened and he continually talked over me. I asked for a refund because the whole experience was terrible. He told me that if I was going to be aggressive I could leave. I was calm, not shouting or swearing. I asked for a refund. He took me to a til which he couldn’t then operate correctly, taking 4 attempts. He made me sign a receipt to say I had got a refund before issuing a refund too!! This guy is a complete moron, and his name is Demmie. He also called me an idiot to my face, saying, ‘you always get one idiot,’ and then, ‘enjoy your stay’ - I wasn’t staying and I’m definitely never going back! I strongly suggest you don’t go either. ZERO STARS!!!

Called in after a trip to the cinema with kids. Normally a restaurant or bar being busy is a sign that it's good, but on this occasion it was people having to wait long times for orders. While I watched the lady on the hot desserts working tirelessly to meet demand, a plus point, one or two staff just stood by, including one who seem to just try and direct others with no clear success. The toilets were dirty and obviously hadn't had a scheduled check as the floor was wet and toilet paper was missing. On the whole I was very disappointed and will not be visiting again any time soon.

Came by the other day before a visit to the cinema and was pleased to see who I assume was the owner in trying to sort out the mess it's often left in. However decided to pass by again this evening and was dissapointed to see the blonde lady back in store who so frequently is rude and let's the team down completely saying they're closing or you can't eat in last 10pm and was takeaway only again. Serious consideration needed in her part of the company if I'm honest as she is no justice to customer service. The lad with the hat always works hard and deserves praise. Unfortunately I do not know names. But he grafts and is polite and always appears busy in times when others are not. A positive asset to the team of people who seem disinterested completely in providing good customer experience. I enjoy the desserts here. But it's in serious need of a reshuffle in team leaders or whoever it is left in charge in the owners absence.

Horrible service, can't rate the food as never got served. They close at 10, we got here with a table of 6 at 9 pm (1 hour before close) and Amy at the counter tells me they can't serve us for eat in because they have to start cleaning. I hope the manager reads this and realises what horrible service is being delivered. We only came here as there wasn't a Sprinkles Gelato nearby, next time we wont go for 2nd best at Creams, lazy staff who don't want to clean up after customers so we're told we can't eat in. Service, what service! It was meant to be a special treat for my son's birthday, but it was a disaster. We've never been to a Creams before, and never will we visit another again. An order of 5 deserts and it was almost 12 minutes between the first being brought to the table and the last. My husband complained and apparently they cancelled the order after the first item was made £40 for a couple of scoops of ice-cream!!! They eventually found the order then only brought 3 of the remaining 4 items out A further complaint finally prompted the last of our order being brought to our table. When we arrived we were greeted by the front of house staff whose clothing looking like she's been cleaning out the bins, utterly disgusting. Other staff we either wearing hair nets as an accessory, with their hair spilling out all over the place, others simply didn't even bother. The service counters were filthy with spilled food items and staff looked like they were barely out of school. Would advise to steer well clear!. If we didn't have children with us who would have been upset if we'd walked out, there's no way we'd have stayed to order.

Awful experience, such a shame as the last time we visited it, it was very pleasant. Staff was unable to make a smoothie and thought water and fruit was a tasty smoothie. Was so watery, staff remade but order was then wrong. And she also make it with water, fruit and this time added some ice cream. It states made with apple juice. First time visiting and won’t be rushing back, plenty of staff available, one could say there was more staff than customers. Put the order in all together however each dish came out separately, there was only 3 of us so it wasn’t complicated but the wait was that long we went up to ask if they had even started the final dish. Spoke to the manager and he seemed to not care. Only good thing about this experience was our server (Chloe) who tried to accommodate for all of our needs.
