Lovely service from the team this evening. Tracy that served us was brilliant and the food was delicious.

It was my 40th birthday and I had a free birthday main to use and it was super easy! Lillyana was our waitress and handled my gluten free allergy without an issue and gave me confidence that she understood (sometimes you get waiters in places where you have to triple check they have understood it is gluten free!). Our lovely waitress also gracefully handled the fact that the gluten free starter I ordered was disappointingly not available (no pizza bases) and I picked something else.

The food was really good but the service can be improved

I ordered a take away dinner tonight from Bella Italia to get it home and find a dirty hair band in the bottom of the bag! This is disappointing and very disgusting I am really disappointed

First time visiting and the restaurant was spotless. The staff where very professional and friendly. There were no mistakes with our order and everything was great.

welcomed and seated quick by manager. Had to wait a while for manager to take order. when food arrived was delicious. restaurant was cold, had to put jacket on. Manager very helpful and jovial.

Enjoyed a meal so much at the local Bella Italia, I went back again today! Had the mushroom risotto again as it’s so utterly divine. Cooked to perfection & a generous portion. Loads of mushrooms in it unlike other places I’ve visited. So full, I won’t be having any supper tonight! Thank you.

Price and quality of food was outstanding. The lady that served us was also amazing.

Had a lovely experience here. Staff friendly and helpful. They would have got 5 stars, but they forgot a few of our extra dips we had ordered and it was a few minutes before we could grab someone to tell them.

Really friendly and great service

First time trying here, as I struggle to choose menu items as im finicky about food. Decided on lasagna, dough balls and cookie dough. After ordering, delivery wait time shot up almost double. When arrived, was rather cold. Albeit, the dough balls and lasagna were quite nice, could do better from home for less though, but for the convenience of not doing it myself it is fine. The garlic butter was mostly oil/butter with congealed clumps of garlic and herb around the edges - which was nice, best part of the meal when dipping dough balls, but presentation was not. Cookie dough was not as expected. Half cooked cookie would be more accurate. Quite dry/flavourless other than the chocolate. Think it'd have been better just full baking it and making a decent crunchy cookie not this... Portion sizes for the prices was outrageous however. I expected double the portion received for the price. All in all, if it wasn't for the price, I'd probably have been a returning customer despite its overall average-ness.

Friendly and welcoming environment, our waitress was Erin and she is kind and friendly and took the time to have a conversation with my children. Food lovely.

Really attentive waitress, very professional and quick service with the right balance of being available to help with our order without interrupting the flow of our conversation. Very friendly and got all our orders spot on! Food was delicious, recommend the Milanese, the garlic butter was to die for and the chips with it were perfect! Highly recommend.

My pizza was stone cold wasn’t even able to eat it had to cook my son one and my chips wasn’t far from being stone cold the Marco Polo was very dry nothing like when you eat in very disappointed.

Came here on a Sunday evening at 4:15 for a table of 11, service was absolutely terrible, two members of staff working on the floor, about 10 tables of people. Other guests were waiting to be seated for almost 20 minutes. It took almost and hour to get a drinks order and then 30 minutes after that to have our food order taken. Young waitress having to do everything which I did feel sorry for her but she was so uninterested. We tried to go to the bar to order drinks when the waitress was behind there but was told we had to wait for someone to come to our table. We then could see our food by the kitchen and that sat there for at least 10 minutes. I definitely won’t be going back. Pretty sure the manager on shift that day really couldn’t have given a shit he was really uninterested when one of us said a book out the poor service. It got so bad in there that they then had to bring a chef out to help wait tables. If you that short staffed definitely shouldn’t have been open or taking bookings for large tables.

Went here few weeks ago and service was very poor, today thought would give it another try and this time was even worse,after standing at the door for 10 minutes being ignored by 4 members of staff we decided to seat ourselves. Then proceeded to get our own menus. Drink order was taken reasonably quickly however waited 15 minutes for 2 drinks. We watched our food sit on the counter at the kitchen for 15 minutes before was brought to our table, food was cold. Lack of service and interaction from staff. When mentioned to the manager about the poor service and the cold meals he wasnt interested and walked a way. He was very rude, clearly needs some training in how to run a restaurant and customer service.

Nice meal but small .....3 Cokes and bottle water expensive,not much change from £20. Couldn't use blue light card as large booking ...though we could have used for us 2 though,

Always a pleasure to venture here. We come here every year for a Christmas catch up meal and it never disappoints. Very happy.

Ate here tonight, waited ages at the door to be seated. I asked for crayons 3 times for my daughter which the waitress proceeded to forget 3 times and didn’t end up getting them for me, so I had to look around for some. Drinks came warm. Food was absolutely disgusting, taste like rubber. I had the spaghetti meatballs and my partner had pepperoni pizza. Desert was ok. Staff do not come round to tables and ask if everything’s ok. Need more staff. Won’t be eating here again.

Our time slot was 5:30 for a group of 11 on a Sunday evening, we arrived and were seated at 5:20/5:25. We were greeted politely and promptly and were asked about any allergies and intolerances. Waitress then took over 30-40 minutes to come over to ask if we would like any drinks, and we then had to call them over, after being sat for an hour to place our food order. The restaurant was not busy at all, staff were too busy talking to each other rather than seeing to the guests. The tables were not overly clean, food and cutlery on the floors too. When the starters were finally given, we then had to wait longer for the cutlery- which should have been given prior. Cutlery was given for the mains just before they were served, but instead of being polite, a staff member just reached through two members of our group and dumped them all in a heap on the table. Again when desserts were given, we had to wait again for the cutlery, which should have been sorted prior. We eat out at a lot of restaurants around Kent and found our visit to Bella Italia in Hempstead Valley one of the worst services we've experienced in terms of the service from the waiters before our order was finally taken. Charging a service charge is a joke and quite frankly, they did not deserve it. They were not rushed off their feet, just too busy standing around talking to each other having a chinwag. Having said that, once the food orders were taken, the orders were served in a timely manor, good flavours and hot, so thank you to the chefs on shift that evening. BUT, not worth the price in my opinion. I had the lasange with a side of garlic ciabatta. The lasagne is £15.79, the portion size isn't very good. The dish is shallow, lasagne was barely an inch thick if that and doesn't come with anything so not worth the price especially compared to many other restaurants that would at least serve it with garlic bread/salad rather than having to buy it separately as a side (garlic ciabatta was £4.29). Overall, we do not feel this is a place we will visit again based on this experience. Two of the guests were young children, who are usually well behaved when eating out but during this visit they became restless and irritable because they were hungry and getting tired thanks to the negligence of the staff prior to the order being taken, ignoring our table for the first 30-40 minutes of our visit. Food was nice, but being seen to by staff was poor.

dobt bother with the desserts or the capreae salad. desserts were tiny and the cheesecake had no compote. fries where cold and the caprese salad was full of water. I really wouldn't bother ordering a takeaway

Excellent food, service and staff

We had a really lovely meal for my daughter’s birthday. I couldn’t fault anything at all, the food was lovely but our server went above and beyond.

Service non existent, 3 staff serving 10 tables. Unorganised and chaotic. 30 minutes wait to get drinks and place food order. When you can get hold of a waitress they are too busy complaining about how short staffed they are to bother clearing your table. Avoid.

It was really nice meal and delicious pasta carbonara and the bacon was really good. And I love pasta so much because I like eating it with different things on the pasta or something on top

I been today with my wife and l had an amazing time… thank to Ozan the manager was an amazing hard worker and happy to come back here anytime…. I have to say the ambient with out him will be not amazing like is now…. I usually come here from many years but now with his knowledge to manage the team… l have to say the experience is fantastic ☺️☺️☺️👍👍👍👍

Not much meat in Bolognese loads of spaghetti my partner had lasagna it looked great but she said it wasn't the best she's had tasteless the deserts was ok but at 7 and 8 pound each and another 5 pound each for drinks is a bit too much I should of had a steak meal next door as probly been better but the server was first class and helpful thank you

Our family went here tonight but it was a terrible experience. First we waited for ages at the desk to be seated & then received no greeting, just to be told to "sit over there" in the window while she cleaned our table even though there was only 4 tables with people sitting at them. Waited ages for the drinks order to be taken by the moody waitress. The cocktail was in the smallest glass I've ever seen & it was nearly £9 & nearly £5 for a small glass of flat cola. The waitress eventually took our order & the starters came out. The mushroom Alforno was just a few mushrooms sitting in loads of sauce & a waste of money. The Pollo Cacciata was tasteless & had bits in it which were horrible. The carbonara was tiny & tasteless. The Garlic bread resembled a cheap version from a supermarket & they charge £7 for it!! Desserts were so small especially the tiramisu which was tasteless. We felt like the waitress had a terrible attitude as when we queried the bill as we thought it was extremely expensive she said "no its correct" & spoke to us like we were stupid & then she told her colleague who shook her head & pulled a face. Therefore we left no tip!!! Terrible food. Appalling customer service. Piles of dirty glasses piled up on the bar. Expensive drinks & sides. Not worth the money. Portion sizes too small for the cost Waitress Erin was very rude & looked like she really hates her job. We will never return to this place Avoid at all cost!! No wonder it was dead for a Saturday night!!

Awful. Terrible service, staff completely unengaged. No greeting, no smiles. Terrible, tasteless food and poor service in a large venue with only 4 tables occupied. Dread to think how long service would have been if it was actually busy. Had to go to the table where staff were sitting and chatting every time we wanted something. Never setting foot inside again.

Zara is our favourite waitress, she goes the extra mile with our son and make our visits extra special. Food is good too.!

I have an assortment of dietary issues, the menu was clear on what I could eat though and there was a handy filter on the website. The staff were super helpful and friendly also! I had a pudding here that I've not had out for years, would usually have to bake at home to have. Had a really positive experience here. Add a picture of the gluten free, vegan cookie dough which was delicious.

Disappointing experience. I appreciate that it is a chain restaurant and that our visit was part of a shopping trip but .... the starter of mushrooms oven baked were floating in too much oil as was the main course of chicken milanese with a very oily crispy (?) batter. The accompanying pasta was okay fortunately. We've been to this branch several times and have otherwise always been satisfied; this was disappointing.

We were so impressed with the three waitresses from Bella Italia Hempstead Valley yesterday (26/09). They made my son's 5th birthday memorable. His words were 'this is the best birthday ever'

We were waited on by Jess at the Hempstead restaurant. She was absolutely fantastic throughout. Our food was cooked to perfection and we all enjoyed everything.

Lovely food and staff are so polite and welcoming and really are hard working, however not enough people scheduled to work. 1 person serving 14 tables. 1 person on drinks and 1 person on desert. Not acceptable to leave 1 member of staff on her own dealing with all these tables orders. Within the hour we had 1 drink and still no starter…

Tia with the blonde hair gave me such a friendly service. The lasagne and coleslaw was so nice.

Seated and served very quickly by friendly staff. They had explained all of their allergen protocols for my wife who has allergies and was catered for brilliantly. Would definitely be going again and again.

We are really upset that our anniversary meal was ruined by a really really poor show from both your service staff and kitchen. After being sat down we waited 10 minutes before we had to get up and ask for a drink. Finally once ordered main and a drink we waited 25 more minutes for the food and still had not received a drink. The restaurant was empty so no excuses. The food portion size was small and overcooked. The flat bread was not cut into portions even though we asked it to be as was sharing. Once the main was cleared we sat for 10 minutes before having to call someone over, we then asked for desert, another 15-20 minutes went by and we did not receive, we gave up and asked for the bill, I noticed in the bill that we was being charged for two desserts we did not receive, I asked for it to be taken off and the waiter seemed confused and said didn’t you receive anything ? He then went on to say we have nothing to do with desserts that’s on the kitchen, it’s their fault. During this whole time there was only 4-5 people in the restaurant. The staff were busy talking to each other to actually provide a reasonable service. This is by far the worst service I have ever received and considering our bill I’d expect so much better. Simply aweful experience

girls lunch. 2 ladies servicing were so busy but managed great service anyway. cocktails were lush and were booked for Xmas! never to early to plan the annual festive girly catch up

Missing items, and restaurant does not pick up the phone!!!

Placed an order through Just Eat with 2 main dishes missing. Called the restaurant numerous times with no response, as still wanted the 2 dishes delivered and not a refund through the app. Very poor customer service!

Ordered through just eat! Didn’t receive two main dishes I have tried calling Bella italia 17 times and no one answers. Very poor customer service, no one answers the phone!! How can a business run like that? Will not be ordering from them again. Be warned if you order you won’t get you main meal and will find yourself eating a cheese sandwich at a friends house while the others eat the meals that did turn up.

Only wanted a cup of tea and was then going to order dinner , I do enjoy a Bella Italia. It was 6pm so asked if ok to just have a drink first. Was told yes , but had to pay first , which seemed acceptable as sitting outside. After a 40 min wait , and at 30 mins waiting asking the waiter if the tea was arriving soon ,we asked for a refund and left. There appeared to be adequate staff , and we often saw 2 at the tills just having a natter , again no problem with that but not when customers are waiting on their order. Won’t be returning to this Bella Italia and will use other branches with much better service.

We came for lunch with our children on friday and lynnel welcomed us in her service and friendliness to both us and the children was next to none! Thank you for such a lovely experience

Bella Italia Hempstead Valley, SHOCKINGLY BAD, the place was nearly empty this evening when we walked in and tried to get a table, only to be told (in a not to polite manner) that we could only go in to eat if we booked a table via the APP. I said I hadn't but can we just book one now as you are not busy at all (at least a dozen or more empty tables) Only to be told 'you have to use the APP', then the waiter just walked off. The service/greating was laughable. I will never go back. Frankie & Bennys next door got our custom this evening, and they will get it again as we had a fantastic meal with great service, well done F&Bs.

While we were shopping in the Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre we fancied having lunch. We did not want a large lunch but my wife, who is Gluten Free, really fancied the rack of ribs on offer at Bella Italia but that the normal meal would be just too large for her appetite. The friendly, extremely obliging staff arranged it so that we could share one meal. It was well-presented and delicious. I have no doubt that, the next time we are in the shopping centre, we will be returning to Bella Italia.

Terrible service. Forgot to put our food order in. Not busy but still seemed short staffed. What was supposed to be a quick dinner, was almost 2 hrs! Almost walked out as no one around for payment. Said we could use a taste card but when got the bill, couldn't. By that point lost the will to live so couldn't be bothered to argue. Wont be returning

Good food (great pizza and fries!) with nice vegetarian options, a decent set menu and fair range of drinks. Staff were welcoming and very helpful.
