The best restaurants serving Italian food in Guildford South East

Realmente excelente primera visita aquí (Surrey Street). Tomé algo de comer antes de ir a casa y comí la mejor ensalada. Nunca. Casi nunca pido ensalada porque es aburrido, pero hoy puede que haya recobrado el sentido. Me encantó el servicio amable de todo el personal y estoy muy emocionado de volver. Hermosa obra de arte, especialmente de la increíble Sofia Loren 😍 Grazie Mille, ¡Un presto!

I discovered Pasta Out during lockdown, so unfortunately there was no availability to sit down and eat within, but the golden side to this was that I discovered their lovely take away service. The pasta is absolutely beautiful, so much so, that I will only have dry pasta in the house for emergencies only. There is a great choice of freshly made pasta and if they don't have any left, they will make it for you there and then. Easy to cook and beautifully fresh, soft and tasty. Highly recommended.

A relaxing lunch at Positino this week - the food and service were both really good - with an added bonus of an unexpected dessert for a birthday. Many thanks.

Lovely food is a little pricey but food costs are expensive and great ingredients used here.

I stumbled into this pizzeria by accident, and honestly, it was the best mistake I’ve made all week! My pizza with rocket and Parma ham was so good, I almost asked for a second one. My fiancé had a curly unusual pasta with prawns and asparagus, and it was so tasty, I briefly considered trading some of my pizza for a bite. The service was friendly, the vibe was cosy, and I’m already planning my next accidental visit! Highly recommend!

Jaded, lazy, disinterested and underwhelming. Food bang average unsophisticated trattoria fare but at high end prices. Worst of all, service abysmal. The owner has a jaded, disinterested air and the overall level of service - elementary stuff like incorrect cutlery, no water on the table, no black pepper - in an Italian restaurant - wine delivered after the food was finished - really shoddy, underwhelming. Tonight the starter, scallops were barely cooked and could have quite possibly have been microwaved. I noticed another table sent theirs back. Wish I had. Plus just basic stuff - puddings served with a spoon and no fork which made the pineapple carpaccio impossible to eat until eventually a fork was supplied. Considering this place has a decent reputation locally, I found it to be of a really poor standard.

What an amazing gem of a place. We went for drinks and light bites and the food was amazing. Lovely atmosphere outside on a warm summers evening. We can’t wait to go again.

Great pizza again. So tasty with thin crispy base. Plenty of toppings. Only waited 10 mins as a walk in. Well worth trying this instead of the usual chain pizza places

Visited last weekend with family and friends. Notes from our visit1. Please clean your toilets. Sinks flity...2. Chefs should be wearing hats and kitchen uniforms. They shouldn't be working with their Jean's...NOT HYGIENIC3. Menu is very good, but the execution of the dishes are horrible. Eg: brushetta should be on a toasted bread, tomatoes should be room temperature not ice cold from fridge...4. You shouldn't be serving food on a chipped plates.Such a shame as they have a lovely concept and menu but lack of care and management. We wont be returning.

Best pizzas around Surrey. The only place we eat at in Guildford that serves delicious Pizza. No.5 is amazing and the chef consistently knocks it out the park. I add the 3 chilli mix which is perfect

Quality of food was very poor. My daughter ordered steak and it was the most driest and rubbish steak I’d ever seen. They could do a more decent job at a burger van. Similarly for me the lamb rump was undercooked and cold. Would not recommend to dine here unless you really prefer undercooked and cold rudimentary food.
