The best restaurants serving Italian food in South Lakeland North West

A little gem of a recommendation. We were grateful for the great customer experience, from the fabulous food, through to the welcoming and calm atmosphere. Well worth exploring.

We booked this place online, received reminders of the booking and it was only on turning up to eat did we find out it was closed indefinitely. There's clearly some automated booking system still active so be warned. Shame it’s closed as the place actually looked really cozy.

Came 28.2.2025 for my birthday treat. Won't be back again. Hubby's starter came Bert wedges one of the 2 was empty. Complained staff apologised. My pizza brandish, soggy bottom. By the time I had eaten half the other half had gone cold. The couple to my left also returned a starter, and the lady also left quite a lot of her main meal

Gorgeous food, would definitely recommend. We walked in at about 6pm but it got very busy afterwards so book if you’re planning on going any later

Lovely little restaurant with a good menu, food delicious and plentiful, staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Bonus that it’s dog friendly too. Brilliant little find

Lovely staff, food and atmosphere.

We have been regular visitors to Grasmere and the surrounding area for many years but have never visited Harley's Bistro. After walking up to Easedale Tarn in the recent snow, we called in for lunch - what a find! The varied menu caters for all tastes and encourages return visits. Excellent customer service, freshly prepared hot food, and extremely clean customer toilets. Thanks to Daniel for his friendly welcome and to everyone at Harley's.

This was the worse italian meal I have ever had, would not recommend I was so ill through the night and the next day I missed the new year.

Food was OK. We had mainly pizza. Bases were good, toppings a bit mean. Priced ok if toppings were just a little more generous. Staff are very nice, friendly and efficient. Room feels more like a cafe than a restaurant so if that is important to you there are more atmospheric places in the village.

Visited this place twice while away on a break and both times staff were ignorant, food was burned and orders were wrong when I received them. I will not go here again and I will spend my money with a business that appreciates my custom.

The crew at Aunt Sally’s were quick to serve. They took on board my request and were lovely. Back to our caravan our fish and chips were lovely. Fish was crispy and fluffy white fish. The chips were abundant. Thank you.
