Enzo's Caffe & Pizzeria in South Lakeland

The pizza is amazing ! Absolutely loved it! Staff modified my pizza with no fuss and it tasted divine. Will definitely visit again, when in the lakes.

Arrived at Enzo’s to order a couple of pizzas for takeaway but told they don’t take orders in the pizza restaurant, you have to go to the Yewdale pub to place your order. Weird but ok. A member of staff took my order whilst I was standing in the pub entrance after a bit of messing about sorting other customers and told me to sit down to wait. I didn't have to wait too long for the pizzas to be brought to me but got the pizzas home to find they were a bit disappointing. Toppings were a bit meagre and not evenly distributed, not cut very well, and with soggy bases and burnt crusts. To top it all off, I also realised later that I’d been charged a 5% service charge which I think is really cheeky for a takeaway where the service was none existent. The only upside was that it meant we didn’t have to cook, but definitely wouldn’t return.

We stumbled upon this restaurant having made a mistake on another reservation. At first we were a bit wary as the decor at first glance is quite messy BUT DONT BE DECIEVED . The food was excellent. My husband had a freshly made pizza with a crispy crust and I had the special roast chicken with risotto..beautifully cooked chicken with crispy skin on Al dente risotto ..green beans (only thing a tad over cooked but still good) the waitress serving was very friendly and knowledgable about Italian cooking and ingredients.

I’m surprised at some of the other reviews here, we ate here on consecutive nights, friendly helpful staff and good food, maybe there have been some changes in the new year as I don’t know what’s not to like. The tables and chairs are a bit basic but that’s nothing to complain about, really enjoyed both nights

Our party of 6 visited last week for a Birthday meal, we were staying in Coniston on a walking break. When we arrived at the bar there was already an altercation going on as another party were asking for a 'tab' and were told 'Managers orders no tabs as people complain and don't pay' We had booked a table the day before even though we were told by the staff 'don't need to book it's dead' When we arrived someone else was at the table we booked-a member of staff said we were 15 mins late even though it was only 7.10 and we had booked for 7.30, the small blackboard with our name and time was on the bar and had not been put out to reserve the table, there wasn't another table to accomodate 6 of us and so a very very rude waitress went to the people sat down and started to wave the blackboard at them telling them they would have to move...she was so rude they left, she came to wipe the table saying 'we know where they've gone but don't know where they've been ha ha so I'll wipe the table!' her comment was totally unacceptable and the people at the next table commented to us 'how rude' Our food arrived...oh dear, burnt Pizza's so badly burnt we couldn't eat them, the same waitress came over and started to tell us how a charcoal oven worked! when we said we didn't want anymore she very sarcastically said 'what would you like me to do Sir' my husband said surely a refund should be offered at which point she started shouting 'I don't like your attitude' so the whole of the pub could hear at this point we understood why the bar didn't offer a tab service, I said I wanted to take a picture of the burnt food but before I could she whipped the plates away with another waitress helping her, it was so very embarrassing but she didn't seem to care, she then said in a very loud voice ' Sir is getting a full refund' one of the bar staff said her name was Dee but when I said I would be reporting her her she starting laughing and said 'Dee was a name the staff used for people like us' Another member of staff came over to issue a refund We had spent over £120 and the refund he gave was £25! It was a terrible experience that we don't ever want to have again, we visit Coniston many times a year as we have a house there, we will only be eating and drinking at The Coniston Inn, Black Bull and the Crown in future.

If you come here, your wasting your time and money....that's if they even bother to serve you. Better alternatives within walking distance.

We knew this place from last year so were happy to revisit, the pizza place is part of the pub so you order at the bar, staff are friendly and pizzas arrived in good time and were delicious, fresh and flavoursome, recommended and will come back

Lovey bar and the staff are very nice , however the food is terrible. Sandwich’s are small and bread is not even buttered. Please don’t order food here.

Popped in after a long day for two take away pizzas, both the same but mine was soggy and under cooked, the wifes was fine and tasted good. Not sure we would return, for the price I would expect a cooked pizza.

Shared a margarita pizza and chips with my boyfriend, both of us really enjoyed it - very nice and great service. Nice and quiet inside.

We had a couple of takeaway pizzas which were excellent, piping hot and ready on time for collection. Would definitely recommend

Extremely disappointed with this place, we had a brilliant meal here on the Friday so came back on Sunday, it was really busy so we decided on a takeaway and got some drinks from the bar and sat outside. My wife and daughter went inside to check on the order, a waiter came out and tried to take my wife and daughters chairs, I explained they were taken but he insisted that the manager had told him he wants the chairs. I had to tell him that I would not allow him to take the chairs before he backed down and went back inside. What kind of place tries to take seats off of paying customers ?? If you are that busy you need to resort to that then turn people away for an hour or tell them it’s only drinks for now sorry we are too busy. The staff member responsible was male,tall and bald, the girls were extremely helpful and friendly.

We are locals in Coniston village and Enzos has the best pizza 🍕 around ! Their sourdough base, all sorts of toppings is Absolutely delicious and made very fast in their authentic pizza oven! You will not be disappointed!

I spent two nights at the Yewdale Inn this week and, despite arriving late, I was welcomed by some nice staff who fired the pizza oven at Enzos back up for me. I had a delicious Marinara pizza, there's a great selection of others, and a cracking pint of Loweswater gold in the lively bar. All in all, a great place from which to explore the Lakes, in a lovely village, and considerably better value than more centralised hotels. 👍👍

Ate he twice last week on our short stay in Coniston would definatly recommend the Pizza's well worth a visit

Had just walked up and down the old man of coniston, popped back to are camp site at grizdale but returned to coniston for evening meal, everywhere was packed turning people away or was told you had to book, spotted a table outside. So we asked if we could have this, was told table had just come free inside, so we took this instead. Desired on tris pizza but asked for chicken and bacon to be added. When it turned up we will as surprised, very generous with additional topping not just three or four bits, and it tasted great. Also has chip and onion rings, nothing disappointed us with this meal. Would definitely recommend 👍

Absolutely amazing pizza, true to Italian style. When it comes to good food we're not easy to please so that says how good it was. Service not over fast but hey relax you know it's done to order, just watch the world go by😊

Not the best for service, choice or food quality. Disappointing all round. Instead, be organised and book into a pub or get in the black bull well before 8:30 or you will end up with a sarnie from the petrol station which is probably better...

During the busiest weekend in Coniston enjoyed a food Pizza but had to queue up for a couple to minutes waiting for a table to become free. Well worth the short wait

No covid precautions whatsoever, tables wern't cleaned in between customers nor were the menus. staff not wearing masks and generally just felt dirty .food shocking too. will not return.

5 of us sat in the gardens on a lovely warm evening. Cannot book but we were seated very quickly. The food and service were fantastic and all reasonably priced.

The standard of the food was really poor. Very small portion sizes and very dull and boring food. My burger for example was about the same thickness and size as a small beer mat and came with a bun the size of a bin lid....

Good range of food to suit all tastes, the pizzas are delicious and made in a wood-fired Italian oven.

The service was so slow and we almost felt like we were an inconvenience to them. 4 cheese pizza was extremely soggy, chicken pizza bland, scampi fried so much they resembled conkers and pie and mash served cold.

Nice pizzas, they have nice outside tables although they were only serving food inside. They let us order take away pizza and eat in one of their outside tables as I don’t feel COVID safe in indoor places without a mask.

Dropped in for lunch as saw they do traditional pizzas. So glad we did. Husband and I had chilli hot pizza and son had a burger. All freshly cooked and served piping hot. Nice beer and friendly service. Just right!

Absolute joke. Everything went wrong! Overcharged by £18, waited 2 hours just for takeaway order. Food was freezing cold without even leaving the restaurant. They refunded the £18 overcharged but made no effort to make things right. Terrible experience DO NOT GO!

Enzo's have been marvellous during lock-down in Conston, especially providing top quality Fish & Chips (takeaway) and arranging delivery of free cooked meals to those of us who are elderly or quarantined.

Me and the mrs had pizza fantastic all round! And I heard they are doing fab things in there community 10 out 10 ✌️

Fantastic food and great service, looking forward to visiting in person when this is over but in the meantime the takeaway is just perfect 🤩

The food is beautiful here, we have take away pizza here at least once a week. Customer service second to none, thank you for still trying to operate through these difficult times and for the food packages to the people in need!

It's difficult for restaurants in these difficult times, but these guys are really trying with there takeaways on a Friday and Saturday, they are also supplying free meals to people in need on a Friday, keep it up doing a fantastic job, the Pizzas are...

We met some old friends at the revamped Yewdale Inn and Enzo Pizzeria. We had a cracking night and fab pizza diavola from the authentic pizza oven. Great atmosphere. Now doing takeaways during the lockdown. We'll be back.

We had take away fish and chips last night. The fish was perfectly cooked and the chips were the best I've eaten. Great service in this difficult time
