The best restaurants serving Italian food in City Centre Manchester North West

I've seen this place serve Ethiopian food for a while now and always wanted to give it a go. I did just that the other day, ordering injera with vegetarian sides, as a takeaway. The injera were very filling, the sides were varied and tasty. The owners/staff were lovely and I felt it was extremely good value for money. I'd recommend anyone give this a go, I certainly will again.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, the service were friendly and welcoming. The food was piping hot and delicious. They did get the cocktail order wrong but, this was quickly resolved. Will definitely return next time we visit Manchester. Lovely, somewhat hidden gem that is away from the hustle and bustle and offers a quieter atmosphere to the larger restaurants in the surrounding area.

My sister and I visited Vincenzo trattoria and we had an amazing time. The food was delicious. From the polpette al sugo to the carbonara. The staff was also amazing. They treated us we kindness. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone who wants to have a good time and meal.

The decor is stunning at this restaurant and the service was second to non! Food was very nice and great selection of wines and cocktails. Only thing was we were a couple so were sat very closely to another couple, and worst of all it was right near the kitchen where the fish are, let me tell you it was freezing!!! Shivering the whole time I was sat there had to get my partners coat and wrap it round me. Secondly, even though the food was nice, the portion sizes are a joke! We got two starters which were lovely, but then our main came. I got bolognese and my partner got arribiatta, and let me tell you barely anything was in my bowl, if we didn't get dessert we would not have been full at all, and for what they are charging it was a bit cheeky. Other than that dessert was gorgeous and did the job, but yeah my criticism is just go and enjoy the food but don't expect big portions for the price.

I visited the Slice pizza at Oxford Road station (not the one pictured on here), and I'd just like to say what a lovely experience I had. I was greeted by a lovely young man wearing glasses, I think his name was Wilf. He was friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. It's really lovely to experience such good customer service. I would visit again in light of this. Pizza was also delicious. Thanks

Mi mejor amiga y yo tuvimos una encantadora cena de 3 platos aquí - conocimos a algunos asistentes encantadores al teatro y el personal se puso de pie rápidamente sacando la comida a tiempo para que todos llegaran al ballet... Estoy libre de gluten y tenía GF merengue boloñés y limón - era realmente delicioso! ¡El tiramisú también lo clavó! Un pequeño hallazgo tan hermoso con comida sabrosa y personal increíble - Jennifer tenía pestañas increíbles y nos cuidó muy bien, gracias - servicio con sonrisa ❤️

Went here on a Saturday night for a works Christmas party good service from start to finish the food was fantastic good choice of wine and beers nice and central for manchester

Please find below a copy of a review provided directly to the restaurant following a booking we had for Sunday 16th February. If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant I would strongly suggest you visit Italiana 55 which is just across the street from Don Marco. "I would like to be able to leave a review of the food and drink, the atmosphere and value for money provided by your restaurant however due to the rudeness and argumentative nature of the manager we did not even get the opportunity to go into the restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant the manager basically blocked the doorway to prevent us from entering and told us we would have to sit outside in the covered courtyard area. When I tried to explain to the manager that we had made a reservation he was not interested and was very dismissive. At no point did he ask me for my name or my booking number. He said the restaurant was full and that the only option that was available was to sit outside in the courtyard area. He constantly argued that sitting in the courtyard area was the same as sitting inside. To anyone with eyes this is plainly not the case as it opens directly onto the street. It was also extremely cold (the outside temperature was 3 degrees centigrade) with the only heating provided by patio heaters. Eventually the manager said we may be able to have a table inside but we would need to wait for approx 30 mins before he would know if one was available. By this time I had crossed the road and found the Italiana 55 Restaurant who where extremely welcoming and helpful and could provide us with a table. Whilst I was at the Italiana 55 Restaurant a young lady member of staff who had overheard our conversation with the manager asked my wife if we wanted a table inside as if we did she had one available in five minutes if we didn't mind waiting. My wife drew this to the attention of the manager and said that was all he needed to have done. His response was amazingly "she isn't the manager" by which I think he meant she wasn't rude and was far too helpful. Our visit to the Don Marco restaurant was part of a special night for my wife and I that included a stay at the Hilton Hotel. I am sorry to say that the attitude displayed by your manager came very close to spoiling our whole evening. I will not recommend your restaurant to anyone I know and will consider making this review as public as possible. I would also suggest that as a priority you send your manager across the road to the Italiana 55 restaurant so that he can see and learn how a welcoming establishment operates. One which welcomes their customers and makes them feel special by providing excellent customer service and food. This is the exact opposite of the experience provided by your manager"

The food was not so good... and not too much on the plate for his price... the service was 0... they looked stressed ... I wouldn't go there anymore!

The level is quite high, both in terms of service and food
