I went for lunch with my husband on Thursday 18th April. We were treated like royalty from Faz and Valatina from the minute we walked in. Can I also complement Martin our barman who again was excellent. We will definitely be going back. Nothing was too much trouble.

We had a really nice pizza and chicken salad everthing so fresh, cocktail very nice and the Nutella cheesecake and tiramisu was excellent. Faz was very friendly and made our experience very pleasant, we will be back in Manchester next month and we will definitely be coming back to this restaurant.

I recently visited Piccolo Arndale. I love the vibe of this place! It strikes the perfect balance between elegant and relaxed, making it ideal for any occasion. Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. The pizza caprichiosa was especially memorable. Must try!I can’t say enough good things about the service at this restaurant. The staff is incredibly accommodating for minor changes and goes the extra mile to ensure guests are happy. Bravo! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. This restaurant exceeded all my expectations. You do not often find a place where every element comes together so perfectly. Well, where do I even start with this gem of a restaurant? Let me paint you a picture of the delightful experience we had. Firstly, the garlic bread. Ah, the garlic bread. Tasteless and cold, just the way we like it. We then embarked on an epic journey of patience, waiting for over an hour for our mains to grace our presence. And when the food finally arrived, it was like Christmas morning! Well, sort of. We ordered for five, yet somehow received three bowls of pasta and a lonely burger. A quick headcount confirmed that, yes, there were indeed five of us. After a brief panic, the missing pasta dish miraculously appeared, as if by magic. Now, let's talk about the pasta. Watery, flavorless, and unseasoned - truly a masterpiece of culinary disappointment. But fear not, for salvation arrived in the form of black pepper and salt, delivered after several requests and yet another delay. Overall, dining at this establishment was an experience I won't soon forget - for all the wrong reasons.

Had an amazing time service was great everyone was welcoming and looked after us especially our host Valentina and server Gaia the food was delicious definitely worth the money would highly recommend

Absolutely love this place! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and especially if you’re dining with a child with a lots of energy, the staff are just so great and make you feel welcomed …Faz is my nieces’ favourite person and he’s so patient and wonderful to her! To top it off, the food was really good (highly recommend the burger).

Really quite disappointed with the service and food here. We went at 5:30pm on a Saturday night having booked shortly before (great) but were told we would only have the table for 70 minutes (fine, but made us a bit stressed). Arrived and the server was lovely. Ordered two bottles of wine and seven mains in addition to a few sides. Were warned that the pizzas would take forty minutes which is fine, but had been sat down for our allocated 70 minutes and food still hadn’t come - weren’t kicked out obviously but just showed the time constraints wasn’t actually there and unnecessarily made us feel stressed. Food was seriously bang average. The pizzas looked ok but the ham wasn’t cooked so was like having packet ham on top of a basic pizza base. The carbonara was made with bacon and not guanciale, very liquidy and very small portions. There was then an issue with paying as the systems were down and they couldn’t provide us with a breakdown of the bill (thankfully the nice server did let us look on their system to verify) but was a very expensive £260 total for a disappointing meal and experience. Staff are lovely. Service was poor. Food was average. Would definitely look elsewhere if wanting an Italian in Manchester.

Staff were exceptional, especially the guy from clock face,St...Helens....he will know who we are. He made you feel, so at ease, couldn't do enough for you, as was the young lady attending us. The food was excellent, will definitely call in again, next time in Manchester. 27th March 2024

Well how to say... I am a Neapolitan Pizza chef I know quality.... Unfortunately there is nothing in Quality in this place....all the food comes on a frozen blocks ... Even the pizza dough.... I don't know is possible to pretend...that they do real Italian food.... When all the food is coming from the freezer...also there is "chefs" no quality employees... All of them follow "the book" otherwise they can't cook a simple fries. In total ...sometimes they accomplished some good quality pizza from time to time... But mostly is the rubbish of the Neapolitan kitchen.

Really the pizza as well as the ice creams were excellent. You immediately feel the quality of the products used. The service is attentive. Please note, the restaurant is on the second floor of the shopping center...times therefore depend.

This place is absolutely amazing!! I took my son as a treat whilst we were in town doing a bit of shopping. We were an hour earlier than our reservation but it was no problem at all as we were shown to a table by the window by a lovely member of staff who greeted us with such warmth. The food was beautiful, authentic Italian pizza, the best I have ever tasted. We felt truly valued throughout our time here and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely our favourite place and will be back very soon.

Called in on Friday eve. Service was very polite and friendly. Food was lovely (only missing a little depth on flavour & the offering of Parmesan / black pepper etc). The Tiramisu was amazing!!!! Would return just for that. Thank you

Faz is an absolute credit to this restaurant . His wonderful customer care and charming friendliness was very impressive . It was a very busy night and yet he managed to get everyone tables with a smile and nothing is a problem approach . Faz made everyone feel special and valued . Lovely experience and he deserves recognition for his front of house hosting skills.

We were met at the door upon arrival and treated like VIPs....the food,service,atmosphere were all top notch! A manager asked us to move tables to accommodate another group, absolutely no problem...especially when we were each given a complimentary cocktail! But sadly it was a disappointing end to our evening...the final bill included a few items that didn't belong to us, which we pointed out before paying the bill. To our amazement, we were stopped from leaving and accused of having the items we previously denied...eventually the management agreed it was not us but the previous diners responsible. To say this left a bad taste in our mouths is an understatement. Shame, the food and service was outstanding.

I've been frequenting Piccolos for 4 years now and host alot of business meetings here, along with the occasional family dinner. I must say, it's by far one of the best Italian restaurants in Manchester (never had one bad meal), underpinned with top rate service from all staff. I am always made to feel welcome with warmth and a smile. Especially by Valentina and Mariano. Both attentive and charismatic. I shall continue to visit this hidden gem for the foreseeable future.

Accommodated 8 of us at short notice before a gig at the arena - service was excellent, great with the kids, food was fantastic - all round great experience.

So good I tried this place for the first time last week and visited again the week after! Food is delicious and the staff are friendly and fun. The bruschetta to start and carbonara were both amazing - would highly recommend. Great stop with a great view of the world below when needing a shopping break.

Service was altogether very attentive and professional. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Environment / Atmosphere was typical Piccolono Italian, busy, exciting and fun to be around. Food was EXCELLENT! authentic and quick. If you're looking for a quality pit stop during your city centre shopping spree I don't think you will find a better stop. Great value for money.

Welcomed us made sure we had a table,brought the waitress to serve us.I have been a client at this place since it was called Gino da campo and valentina as always been amazing since it was called that, just like Faz that I met when now it's called piccolo by piccolino.Very amazing people.Restaurant is very clean,bar is there to wait if no table is still not available.Faz will keep you entertained and laughing all the way just incase you feel a little bit down.The food is amazing.The dessert 🍨 was of a higher quality and standards.The wine was on the top.Thumbs up Faz,piccolo by piccolino's star.

We hadn't booked but were looking for somewhere casual to eat after a day of shopping and this place was perfect! A nice buzz about it, friendly and energetic staff, and lovely stylish decor. The menu had something to suit everyone in our group and the wines and beers were great too. Fares was really welcoming and accommodating, finding us the perfect booth with a nice view and plenty of room. Efficient service from all our servers, food all brought at the same time, and all really hot and tasty. We all cleared our plates! A great choice for a casual but stylish pit stop from the hustle and bustle of shopping. Thanks for a really enjoyable dinner.

Got met by Faz as soon as we walked in. He was very friendly and even though they was full they fitted us in as I am diabetic and needed some food. The food was excellent and came quite quick to say they were busy. Will he definitely going again and will be recommending to all my friends

Valentina and all the staff are so friendly. Well furnished stylish and amazing food especially the chicken breast with chips. The romanian chef there is a real pro. We lost our wallet there and they kept in the safe the next day now thats what I call a dam good restaurant. Highly recommend. Deserts are fab too!

Stopped in after work for a quick drink and bite, service was phenomenal, quick and delicious and a credit to the chefs and the waiters. Mariano and Martin have done a great job with food and drink.

Found this place by accident, entrance is a little concealed. Take the lift upstairs and you have a very airy and bright restaurant. It is very clean and you can view the kitchen or people watch from your table. Food is very good and the service is excellent the staff are very friendly and approachable.

Food is ok but nothing special for the price. Choice is limited. Pizzas seem the best option. It caters more towards safe and conventional rather than exotic.

Went here for the second time with my friend. The first time was a bit of a let down as we had a Confidentials voucher given to me as a gift and the manager was unaware how to process this and caused an embarrassment to us in front of other diners. However, we both had a nice pasta dish and decided to give it another chance when next in Manchester. We were quickly seated and the waiter we had was very attentive. We ordered cocktails then the waiter brought us the menus and told us that they had no pasta..at all..apart from lasagne which is obviously pre made. I asked why and he said the pasta cooker is broken and they were waiting for it to be fixed later in the week. What? This is an Italian restaurant, put a pan of boiling water on and cook some pasta!! Really couldn't believe it. As the majority of the dishes are pasta or pizza, this was a complete joke. The lunch menu contained many pasta dishes and we were given no alternative. Very very poor. No wonder your restaurant is empty. Won't give it a third chance, will stick to Sud.

The service was really poor with our waiter sitting on a table with a guy who seemed like his friend and scrolling on his phone while we waited to pay the bill. The music was distracting as there were often two loud songs playing at once. Food was good but not worth the price. Ok experience, but would not come back

We arrived 10 minutes late for our reservation, to be told they had closed early. However, when they knew we had a reservation, the FOH guy welcomed us with pleasure. I just went for dinner on Monday (3/7) night. I think the food is good and the price is reasonable. I especially want to praise the manager of the restaurant. His attitude towards the customer is very good. I was very satisfied throughout the whole dining experience in the restaurant.
