The best restaurants serving Italian food in Carlisle North West

We learnt of Big Pizza Pies via facebook, and my partner and I have been fans ever since. Beautiful hand made pizzas cooked in front of you in a wood fire, they are to die for! While I'm a simple margherita fan, my partner loves the different specials they have on every week, especially the cumberland sausage ones.

Pizza van in Local community hall car park, there most Saturdays. More to the point they're very good and keeping you informed via Facebook if they won't be there. Good selection of excellent Pizzas at reasonable prices,

Excellent Italian food with a Sardinian twist. The staff were great and the atmosphere was very friendly.

Amatos never lets us down! Starters, mains and puddings were all delicious! Staff are polite and professional. Best Italian in town!

Being here earlier in the year, loved it x hubby surprised me with a little sneaky night away & we got a pod😛 img always wanted to stay in a pod ! Was super clean the shower was amazing & at first thought it would be could but boost the heating up was red hot!! The bedding linen etc were exceptionally clean honestly I can’t wait to go back!!! The staff, the locals are really lovely people ….. my only concern is I’m writing this & Steve & team get so booked up I won’t be able to get a room xxx we’ll find guys x bagel of a place x ❤️

Ate here today with my daughter's and other family members and we can't fault it at all. We have eaten here several times and it is consistently beautiful food and always very good service. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

We’re regulars here. Me and my partner go either for a date night due to the lovely atmosphere or if there’s something to celebrate. We were in this Friday and the Staff are always warm and welcoming. While the menu may seem a bit on the “pricy” side to some in our opinion the steak is the best you’ll find in Carlisle along with the focaccia and pollopicant for starters I cannot recommend those enough.(sorry if I spelt that wrong) The cocktails are fab, to all the staff thank you for a wonderful evening! ☺️and the chefs thank you for a delicious meal as always!

I visited this delightfully quiet eatery last week and I was very impressed. It's rather botique and doesnt have a lot of space but the service and food is fantastic. The steak was cooked to prefection and very reasonably prices. Well worth a visit - you wont regret it!

Something gone wrong with this place, one time favourite for good Italian. Now the usual rubber garlic bread like all the other take aways in chorley, Lasagne-hardly any pasta, Sloppy with huge lumps of mince, Spag bog chillied up. Disappointed. I liked the starter though.

Bland and uninspiring. Expensive too. Used to be excellent when small portions were offered for a good price and you could have a few to make a tasty lunch. Lasagne I had was just mush with no discernible layers of pasta and very bland. Items have been dropped from the menu, but the the menu has not been reprinted, so when you order you are told, “we don’t do that anymore” well, reprint the up to date menu then!
