We came here as this was recommended as the place to go for great pasta… unfortunately the filled pasta I had was undercooked. I enjoy al dente but the inside was raw and difficult to cut with a knife however the dish itself was tasty so I would be willing to give the restaurant another go. The menu had a great selection of pasta, maybe I’ll try a traditional carbonara next time… The staff were friendly and the decor pleasant.

We had a great birthday lunch at the restaurant. A cozy restaurant with authentic Italian ambience. Pleasant music and nice decor. An attentive waiter and delicious food. The chicken for the main course was absolutely delicious. So was the Tiramisu dessert.

The host is lovely. Very warm and welcoming. However our server forgot to bring our garlic bread out before our pizzas so comped that and both myself and my friends pizzas had too much sauce on so we're very wet and sloppy. It's a shame as had a lovely salad there previously. Def better pizza places in Teddington.

Vera cucina italiana!

A group of 8 of us had booked for 7pm on a Friday night. As we arrived in the dingy, dirty looking dining room we were barely acknowledged. The young, oblivious (and I assume very cheap) waiting staff were painfully slow and unobservant, and we had to chase them to take a drinks order. We then waited 20 minutes for said drinks, only for half of our order to be missing. We were seated right in front of the bar, and there were only a couple of other occupied tables. We asked if we could place our food order, only for the waitress to rudely gesture for us to wait while she took the orders of two other tables that had arrived after us. It was now 8pm, and after an hour of waiting politely we had seen enough. We asked for the bill and at this point one of the more senior waiters asked if he could take our order, but we couldn't wait to leave. (So we did, and had a delicious meal at Crystal, the excellent Persian restaurant just across the road from Bagatti's) I cannot comment on the food here as we didn't get to try it, but based on first impressions, the state of the restaurant and the appalling service, I can't imagine it's up to much. Bagatti's has been a Croydon landmark for many years, but it sadly appears to be a shadow of its former self.
