The best restaurants serving Italian food in London

The restaurant had only one other customer dining in during our visit. Our starter (calamari) arrived reasonably quickly, rubbery with some small limp salad garnish and a not very pleasant dipping sauce. There followed a 45 to 50 minute wait, while we sat and watched a couple of Uber eats/Just eat bikers came in and collected food for delivery. It was apparent that the business prioritised these orders over preparing ours. Eventually fed up and hungry and having had no apology or explanation for the delay we said we were leaving. Just as we were heading for the door our food left the kitchen. The 2 staff (on a Saturday night) both apologised (too late) and we were offered a discount and no service charge. This was the least they could do as we’d received almost no service. The pizza and pasta were both adequate but nothing special and I’d advise anyone looking for Italian food to go to the excellent Piazza Della Cucina which is only a few doors down. This was a bit of a celebration dinner for us and I was extremely disappointed, but you only discover these things by trying a place out. We won’t be back

Fuimos a Pappagone Sud para una cena familiar temprano y lo pasamos muy bien. Desde la cálida bienvenida en adelante el servicio fue genuinamente amable, comprometido y eficiente y todos los platos que probamos estaban excelentemente cocinados y de tamaño generoso. Compartimos un par de entrantes entre tres y, entre nosotros, tuvimos una pizza, un plato de pasta y un plato principal de carne... todos estaban más que contentos con su comida y lo rematamos con un gran helado. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar.

The staff were lovely but I thought the food was really unnecessarily over priced. My partner and I had the marbled Spanish steak (@£160 per kg) I really expected it to be amazing, but I found it quite tough and disappointing in flavour and texture. When looking around at other dishes, the portions did not add up to the price on the menu. Sadly I wouldnt go back, and I left quite disappointed with a noticeably smaller wallet!

Gran lugar con personal amable que a veces frecuento. Recomiendo si quieres un lugar para sentarse en Shoreditch especialmente al sol

Piccolo ma buono. La pizza è di qualità e leggera ( lievitazione naturale) tutto a vista e te la preparo in un attimo. Servizio veloce ed efficiente. Da provare. Giusto compromesso tra qualità e prezzo.

I am so sad that this restaurant has closed!!! I loved it so much! Westbourne Grove is such a difficult place to open a restaurant! They keep on opening and closing... Noce was one of my fav! Sad sad sad

Unexpectedly wonderful haunt in Leytonstone. I was staying at the Sir Alfred Hitchcock hotel but the Rear Window restaurant was closed today. Instead the bus dropped me near Bocca Bocca. I was intrigued by the pistachio and mordatella pizza - and it was delicious. Really enjoyed the neat burrata and courgette cream for antipasto, along with a red-blooded negroni. Affogato and grappa for dessert topped it all off. The service was excellent and I was warmly welcomed despite dining alone. Informal and friendly atmosphere meant I had a great evening and left with some new friends from the next table.

Aunque no en el centro de piedra de afilar , este restaurante / cafetería uno a la gasolinera ESSO sin duda merece una visita . Las instalaciones de los ladrones están limpias y ordenadas y ordenadas. El propietario era muy amable y amable. El menú ofrece una buena elección si desea desayunos, inglés completo , vegetariano y de Oriente Medio o un almuerzo o cena más sustancial. Mi esposa vino a tomar un aperitivo a media tarde antes de reunirse con nuestro hijo e hija para una comida más tarde en la noche. Ambos comimos salmón ahumado con queso crema, mi esposa eligió el suyo con pan de ciabatta y yo elegí baguette. Ambos tuvimos un café recién hecho que sabía bien también. Pensamos que la comida era buena relación calidad-precio, así como los platos más abundantes. Sin duda vale la pena los pasos adicionales a lo largo de High Road para buena comida.

After reading all the excellent reviews for this place I had to check it out especially as I was in the area. First of all the staff are very friendly and let you try all the flavours. They even kindly made me a fresh cannoli ☺️. The gelato was OK nothing special I've definitely had better. Portion size good.

We enjoyed the best Spritz of London, with delicious salami and cheese board. The staff is super nice and kind and the vibe is laid-back and cool. Highly recommended!!

We recently discovered this place was only round the corner from our house and we are annoyed it took us so long to try it. By far one of the best restaurants in Streatham and some of the best pizza in London. The pizza is so fresh and tasty and the Aperol spritz is better than most I had while travelling the Amalfi coast. Since finding we've been back almost every week.

What an amazing hidden gem , we were shopping and upon passing the Prosecco Caffe, decided to stop for a coffee to refresh ourselves, we ended up staying and having a glass of ( perfectly chilled ) prosecco , some delicious small plate snacks and some of the best coffee I have had in a long time . The service was really quite amazing , you would think you were in a cozy Italian restaurant, not a Caffe in a shopping area. The seating was quite comfortable and the ambience just right. We cannot recommend the Prosecco Caffe enough, it wasn't why we went down to London , but we are so glad we found it and will definitely be visiting again as soon as we can .
