The best restaurants serving Italian food in London

£9.95 for 6 slices of bread in a basket , I don't think I'll be returning very over priced its canning town not the west end .

I'm simply embarrassed that I have never been here before in the forty years I've been coming to London. I am very fortunate that a friend knows it well and we arranged to meet and have lunch here. The restaurant doesn't advertise, it doesn't need to. It has a steady stream of regulars both lunch and evening. And the food is glorious. As Michael Winner might say, the Burrata was historic and undoubtedly the best I have ever tasted. The cherry tomatoes were sweet and full of flavour as if picked straight from the garden. I followed with the baked Tuscan sausages and words can't really do justice to such a beautifully cooked dish. Inexpensive food made to lift the heart and soul. Paul made us very welcome and we left him to choose some delicious Sicilian wine. Nearest tube is Oxford Circus. Two courses are around £40. Don't delay, but probably best to book in advance.

I recently dined at Sensi and was blown away by the experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The decor is cozy and elegant, giving off that classic Italian charm.

We had a wonderful meal. My Grandson had Spaghetti Carbonara and said “ it was the best he had eaten”. The manager was friendly and very attentive. We were looked after extremely well and the food was excellent.
