The best restaurants serving Italian food in Aldersgate, Cheap City of London, Westminster London

Family visit 29th December. They were telling people tables were a 45 minute wait and people were waiting outside the door and at entrance, we had booked and had to wait 35 minutes for a BOOKED table. We were left by loos and in the way of the kitchen mainly because the main entrance was full of hopeful walkers by!!! The staff were rude and the whole place very chaotic and poorly managed. After the 35 min wait, no coats were taken to the cloakroom, I asked twice, then knocked off a chair and left by a waiter on the floor, wrong drinks came for which the waiter blamed us as i asked for a bottle and 2 glasses which apparently confused him and he was really really rude, then the new drinks never turned up we asked 3 times. Wrong side came at mains and beef cheek cold. Complained about service and attitude of staff, their sister restaurant in covent garden and Leicester square are my favourite restaurants in london this place should be ashamed to share its name. We won't be returning. No real appology they knocked off drinks and food they got wrong - bill for 3 mains still £130 terrible terrible service, avoid

Early Saturday night dinner- very convenient to our hotel. Only a few other customers but waiter managed to mix up my order and brought the wrong entree. Later he brought us extra napkins that he thought we had requested- what would he do on a busy night? A very limited beer menu - thirst after a long day at the British Museum. My husband ordered a Peroni Zero - was brought a Becks zero - with no explanation of the change. I ordered cider, expecting a British one but it was Italian- actually it was delicious. My husband loved his salmon in lemon sauce entree. My spinach ravioli in Mushroom sauce was good - once it came!

Whilst staying at a hotel in Shaftesbury Avenue we took a short walk to the restaurant for our evening meal. As a disabled visitor I was treated with respect and fully supported by the staff. All staff were professional and courteous. The whole meal…starter, mains, drinks etc were of a high standard and incredibly tasty. An excellent value for money meal and experience. I’d certainly recommend a visit.

Food poor to average, customer service poor will not be returning plenty of alternatives nearby. Should advise that no cash is taken now when making reservation

Tuvimos una experiencia gastronómica increíble en Mosaic Restaurant, y Elitsa lo hizo inolvidable! Su servicio fue impecable, amable, atento y genuinamente cálido. La comida era absolutamente increíble, superando todas las expectativas para un restaurante italiano. Cada plato era fresco, sabroso y bellamente presentado. Las recomendaciones de Elitsa fueron puntuales, y su profesionalismo se sumó al encanto de la noche. ¡No podemos esperar para volver!

We visited Prezzo yesterday afternoon, what a disappointment from the days when they were or go to family restaurant. Firstly I have to say the service was great, hence the 3 stars, but that's where the greatness ends. Two of us had the Arancini balls, these were 3 balls, served with a bland creme francie dip, not the Calabrese ketchup on the menu. Strangely the photo in the website shows 4 balls served with the bland dip, I guess they got it half right. The balls themselves were overcooked, dry and bland, there was no unctuous risotto filling. I ordered the Beef in Chianti which should have been served with porcini mash, but I was told they only had the buttery mash, which was fine, but really, they couldn't have got mushrooms anywhere on a Saturday afternoon? Or was it that they don't actually cook anything and had run out of the big tub of porcini mash? My husband ordered the sausage and fennel Al forno, it was obvious that it had been cut from a slab of cold pasta bake and shoved in the oven with some cheese on top, it was still in a solid square, even the waitress thought is was lasagne, no attempt had been made to even spread it evenly in the dish, resulting in a stodgy block of pasta. The seasoning was terrible, the fennel was so strong it completely overpowered the entire dish, clearly nobody had tasted the slab before serving. Moving on to dessert, we were given the menu and were told that 4 choices were unavailable,at 5pm on a Saturday afternoon, how could 4 deserts be unavailable when they hadn't even had their Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime service? Our experience has made it very obvious that many of the items on the menu are bought in ready meals reheated to order with no actual chef on site to improvise when dishes run out. I don't think we'll be visiting Prezzo anytime soon, I can cook ready meals at home for a fraction of the price.

We had a fantastic evening. The food was super and reasonably priced. What a lovely buzzy restaurant. The drink prices were also very competitive. Excellent value and quality.

“Unfortunately, my recent visit to La Botegga di Anna was highly disappointing. The staff members were incredibly rude and unaccommodating throughout my entire meal. The food quality was far below expectations, with tasteless dishes and poorly cooked ingredients. What made matters worse was the owner’s aggressive behavior towards customers, creating an uncomfortable dining atmosphere. I regretfully cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience.”

Possiamo ritenerci dei cultori di sushi perché ad oggi sono più di 10 anni che abbiamo degustato il sushi nei migliori locali del mondo come Nobu, Novikov, Zuma, Tao , tra Dubai, Londra, New York, Milano, Singapore e Bintan. Oggi a Palermo il SalCapone merita il premio posto per qualità di pesce, per professionalità di uno staff sempre attento , per le location super curate , pulite e molto belle e per avere dei sushiman tra i più gettonati della città . Il MIGLIOR SUSHI DI PALERMO non si discute , pesce fresco , piatti ben decorati , pezzi piccoli come in tutte le parti del mondo , il sushi è un boccone , non va spezzato . Bravi per aver messo insieme la qualità con una formula bel studiata , avere fatto contenti la città di Palermo.

Staying at this fantastic hotel, my friend and I came to dinner, how incredible that we are allowed to take our pooches with us ! The staff were all so sweet, interested in our little furry friends too. The food was all so beautiful, it looked like art and tasted heavenly. Chatted to other diners, it was the most memorable evening in a very long time. If only other places could take a feather from their cap. Extraordinary.

Una de las experiencias gastronómicas más extrañas y aventureras que he tenido en Londres. Polentina era el café de trabajo para un negocio de ropa, así que esa es la vista. Se encuentra en un polígono industrial del East End con un ambiente dudoso. El menú es comprensiblemente restringido, tal vez demasiado. El relleno de fior di zucca era ligero y delicioso. El plato de queso stracciatella era sabroso contenía demasiado aceite. Ambos platos de pasta eran buenos: lentejas y pasta frita, y albóndigas en una salsa de tomate en pasta corta. La única otra opción era cerdo relleno de queso que se sentía un poco demasiado invernal para junio. Para terminar compartimos un café dulce con Amaretto y limón. Para beber tuvimos 6 vasos de rosa Apulian que el gerente generosa y retrospectivamente cargó como una botella entera. En general, la factura llegó a £ 55 por cabeza - apenas más que el precio de una comida de pizza en Londres. El gerente italiano es encantador y acogedor y el chef talentoso es austriaco / italiano, lo que también resulta en algunos platos interesantes. Definitivamente vale la pena una excursión especial: planifica cómo llegarás y regresarás. Cerca hay un viejo boozer anticuado del East End llamado la Colmena que sería bueno para una bebida pre / post.

This would have probably got a 4 star but they let themselves down. The food was tasty and the service was ok except they made an error with my order and only brought it several minutes later after my friend was halfway through her meal. Sometimes when those things happen they will offer you a discount or free drink or something - they didn't but it didn't even cross my mind and when I received the £100 plus bill with the 12.5% service already included, I paid without question. However by that time I decided to have a coffee whilst my friend was finishing her drink and he (seemed to be a manager or something so not like it was a youngster without any choice) gave me a separate bill for it which I thought was very cheeky and disappointing and for such a silly amount, ruined my whole feeling about the place.

Disastrous experience I booked a table for Friday the 29th of July for 3 persons. On the day of the lunch, I received a text asking me to confirm my booking. We arrived at the restaurant and it was closed. There was a lot of mail on the floor which made us think that it had been closed for some time. I contacted the restaurant on instagram and by email and I have not received any apology and compensation. I also called the restaurant numerous times. This is disgraceful! One of my friends lives 3 hours away London and travelled especially to go to this restaurant. No one from the restaurant informed us it was closed and have contacted me since. So it is terrible experience!!!
