SOPHIES ITALIAN RESTAURANT in City of London, Westminster

Early Saturday night dinner- very convenient to our hotel. Only a few other customers but waiter managed to mix up my order and brought the wrong entree. Later he brought us extra napkins that he thought we had requested- what would he do on a busy night? A very limited beer menu - thirst after a long day at the British Museum. My husband ordered a Peroni Zero - was brought a Becks zero - with no explanation of the change. I ordered cider, expecting a British one but it was Italian- actually it was delicious. My husband loved his salmon in lemon sauce entree. My spinach ravioli in Mushroom sauce was good - once it came!

Fab, casual little restaurant. Very friendly service by Yagiz. Food was delicious and great value. Thoroughly recommend.

I decided on Sophie's for lunch because of the special advertised on the board outside. My pasta was good and it was a good-sized portion and the included house white wine was good and served quickly. The salad was not as good. It was mixed greens which were a little "stringy" and bitter tasting, and the dressing-- if I can call it that-- had little flavor. My server was not friendly or welcoming, and once he took my order, he never stopped by again. I had to literally stand up and wave at him for the bill. The restaurant only had one or two other tables with customers and he spent little time looking at or checking the tables.

On my short trip to London I had dinner two times with a large group of my friends. The food was very good and the atmosphere excellent and I have to mention Fatos the waiter. Every restaurant should have one like her. Everyone of the staff welcomed us and was very helpful and nice.

So nice the steak was lovely and the soulle was even better! Definitely recommend this to any family or work meeting! Have fun

I was staying in a hotel solo and the menu was rubbish. I looked for somewhere local and found Sophie’s Italian. I absolutely loved it. The sea bass was huge. I’ve rated sea bass in restaurants all over the world. This was fab. Great service by Fatos meant that I felt totally comfortable eating alone in central London. Thank you!
