Spaghetti House - Woodstock Street in City of London, Westminster

The food was good apart from the sautéed potatoes . me and my friend had woken up with food poisoning the next day as we definitely know it was the sauteed potatoes as they did not taste ok, they were not freshly cooked as they were covered in oil and looked like they were cooked the day before. Be careful Service was average as when the food came out they had never came back and asked if the food was okay we were just ignored.

Honestly disappointed, service was poor, we was not greeted properly. It was completely dead in the restaurant yet nobody came up to us and asked if our food was okay. Had the bare minimum in terms of service yet was charged a 12% service fee. Wild honestly. Had some cheese grated into my drink when getting it out onto my food. Didn’t get offered a new drink the waiter kinda just walked away. Food was decent though like the meat was tasty but the pasta was undercooked a bit. In my opinion considering how quiet it was I was expecting better. Staff were just kinda rude.

Food was plain, not tasty at all and even somewhat inedible. Starter: gamberoni picante - large prawns were ok, a bit undercooked, but could have been enjoyable if not for the sauce. It was sooo salty, like it had 3 times more amount of salt it needed. The sauce was supposed to be a little hot as it has chilly in it, but it was all salt and nothing else. No wonder they only offer bottled water in large bottles - I had it all to get rid of the salt in my mouth. Main: scallopa di vitello. Too much breadcrumbs, the veal was almost inexistent, sauteed potatoes tasted ok, nothing special, But potatoes were not freshly cooked, as if they were boiled the day before and sauteed before serving. Service was average, at best estimation. Though the restaurant was not crowded it took them ages to get me to the table, never asked what I thought of the food, and brought the bill before I finished. Overall, it's hard to expect something perfect from a chain restaurant but this was the one I would never visit again.

Great place for authentic pizza and pasta , and reasonably priced

The restaurant was empty, the moment we said the number for the table the waiter started complaining that there was no table for this amount, the other waiter let us in the whole time we there the restaurant was empty. The service was lacking

The atmosphere in this restaurant is very cosy and welcoming. The service is excellent. My food was undercooked, The issue was dealt with very quickly. I received a delicious dish that I enjoyed very much. For me, everything was perfect until I stepped into the toilets, which were really unpleasant, taking into account that the restaurant wasn’t too busy i would have thought the staff will make sure it’s all clean and tidy as the restaurant itself is immaculate.

Place is good, portion size is also good, food is as usual. Service was ok. Gave service 2 stars because when my friend and I visited the place the manager / the main person wasn’t welcoming, it seemed like he didn’t want customers. At the end of our dinner we had ordered Tiramisu and the lady told us it’s the last one and took our order. Two girls sitting next to us were having coffee and later decided to have Tiramisu and gave the order to the manager, and he did take it. Later the manager and the other lady had a discussion and the manager told the lady to tell us that the Tiramisu was over as he had taken the order from the other table ( although it was us who had given the order first). So he gave it to the girls next to us and made us pay the bill faster. Was very disappointed by the act/ discrimination. I don’t think neither my friends or I would ever visit this place again.

The food was mediocre. The salad wasn’t washed properly, I actually chewed on dirt! That was very disgusting, and no apology offered. The place does not seem to be clean, I do not recommend.

Went to the restaurant with a group of friends and we had an amazing lunch experience at Spaghetti House Oxford Street. The place has a delicious and authentic food, portion size is incredible and great value for money. Staff are super friendly, attentive and very welcoming. Highly recommend this gem to everyone. We'll definitely be visiting again.

First impressions,staff didn't look happy & the ladies' greeting wasn't inviting! The meals were quite small but $$ and then they charged me £ 11.00 for a service we didn't get! We waited quite a while for a staff member to ask if we wanted drinks & the place was not busy at all! We wouldn't return!

Garlic bread was absolutely delicious, soft and warm, the staff were lovely and accommodating. The, Calamari was OK, although the batter was seasoned the squid wasn't which was disappointing. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was meh, I basically left it after a few fork full and there wasn't much options on the menu.

Staff rude right at the entrance… I asked « in 30 min or at 30min » and got an extremely rude reply… never visiting this place

Essen war nicht geschmacksintensiv, Kellner hatte keine lust auf uns. War nicht sehr preisgünstig daher hätte ich mich mehr über freundlicheren service und besseres essen gefreut.

Die Spaghetti Carbonara waren so voller Pfeffer, dass man es kaum essen konnte. Auf meine Frage, ob ich das Gericht ohne Pfeffer bekommen könnte, bekam ich zur Antwort, dass es nicht geht, da der Pfeffer schon in der Soße ist. Wir waren bei unserem letzten Besuch in London vor ein paar Jahren sehr zufrieden gewesen und waren deshalb wieder dort. Allerdings zum letzten Mal!

Zentral gelegen. Es war konstant voll und der Service war sehr bemüht, sodass wir noch einen Tisch bekamen. Essen war gut. Preis-Leistung passt.

Great food and excellent friendly staff.

Schönes Restaurant direkt an der Oxford- Street gelegen. Nettes Ambiente, man sitzt jedoch etwas beengt. Wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, stehen überwiegend Nudelgerichte auf der Speisekarte. Es gibt jedoch auch Fleischgerichte und eine kleine Auswahl an Pizzen. Sogar eine vegane Pizzavariation ist auf der Karte. Die Bedienung war flott und zuvorkommend. Uns hat es gut geschmeckt und die Portionen waren recht groß. Auch die Preise waren in Ordnung. Wir können das Restaurant empfehlen.

Popped in for a pizza and a quick drink. We shared a Margherita pizza which came to the table quickly and was a nice genuine Italian pizza with a good flavour. No one was impolite and everything seemed to be running smoothly. The lady who served us could have been a little more cheerful to be honest and the place did lack a bit of ambience but the food was good.

We have been coming here for a few years when we are down in London. Always excellent quality food and fast service and friendly staff. The last time I was here I had the fennel sausage and wild mushroom pizza and it was absolutely beautiful. Also the garlic bread is to die for. Love the atmosphere in this place as it’s not too loud and you can actually hold a conversation with the person you are having your meal with, unlike some overly loud pubs/establishments. We will definitely be popping back when we are down in London again next year.

Amaxing food, slow service. One of the staff was constantly messing with his hair while having gloves on and then straight back to working without changing.

Service was reasonable. Food was extremely poor. Sloppy pizza drowning in so much oil it made my stomach cramp. One our pasta dishes was too spicy, the other so bland. This place survives on location and charging high tourist prices. London has so much to offer, real genuine Italian food, not this poor fast-food. Please avoid and find a better experience elsewhere.

For the price it's very acceptable. Good authentic Italian.

Walked in and The waitress said she’ll come in a second and then few minutes after another guy came to ask if we have reservations and said there’s no availability he didn’t even check but there’s lots of empty tables. Is it because I’m Chinese?

Food was really good, just need to take the spice down a notch (I liked the spice as I love spicy food but my friends not big chilly heads and for most people they may find it overpowers the meal). The servers were really nice but didn't check to see if we wanted any other drinks once we had empty glasses and had to remind the server a couple of times when we did ask for more drinks (cos they forgot to bring them). But overall I do highly recommend this place, just need to be a bit more focused on the customers and turn down the spice level on the food and it would be five stars all round :).

For a not fancy restaurant, they’ve done a fantastic job. The service was very quick and the food was “you get what you pay for” not fancy but good quality. I gave the review a 4 star because for a spaghetti restaurant, I’d expect more flexibility in the menu. For example, I wanted to have an add on to my pasta - it was possible for the salad- but the manager did not approve my request to choose any add one or change the dish. Also, I would think they’d have more variety of spaghetti styles, but they only serve the basic. That’s why it’s four stars- you’d expect a little bit more from a restaurant that specialize in spaghetti.

Don’t bother going in here because this place deserves 0 stars. Came in alone, asked for water - still water and the waiter was so rude and told me no only sparkling. I said no thanks and I see other tables with a water jug and glasses. Ordered Pinot Grigio and a pizza. Wine comes and it’s warm so I said do you not have anything cold? He takes the wine back to the bar and yells at the girl for pouring warm wine. He also yelled at her for bringing something to the wrong table. Then the manager comes, lovely blonde woman apologizes and I said no problem I’ll have rose if it’s cold. Great. Get my pizza it was fine nothing special and definitely not worth the price. I didn’t eat it all so I asked for it to be packed away. Apparently the girl behind the counter didn’t hear him and she threw my pizza in the garbage. He did yell to her 2 times and was so rude I couldn’t believe it. No offer of discount or offering me a drink or anything for any of the trouble. Horrible customer service, in Canada of you have service like that you would be fired.

Das Restaurant hat zwar gemütlich ausgesehen, jedoch würde ich es nicht empfehlen. Ich habe mich auf die Spaghetti gefreut, da es „Spaghetti house“ heisst. Jedoch waren sie wirklich nicht gut. Die Sauce hat ein wenig ranzig geschmeckt. Die Bedienung hat darauf keine Reaktion gezeigt. Der Preis der Spaghetti war jedoch komplett auf der Rechung drauf. Dazu wurde uns erst zum Schluss gesagt, dass keine Barzahlung möglich ist. Finde dies wirklich schade und auch unhöflich…

Refeição pouco temperada, ate aí tudo bem... ,mas na hora de pagar fomos informados que não aceitavam pagamento em DH. Sendo que não tinha nenhuma informação no estabelecimento que não aceita pagamento em dinheiro. Como que um estabelecimento comercial não aceita pagamento em dinheiro ? Simplesmente ridículo! Péssima experiência!

Extremely rude waiter taking in our order - Upon requesting MULTIPLE times to check on the content for Ragu sauce , she kept explaining in the rice content of the dish and was extremely RELUCTANT to check on with the chef when we requested . And when we offered that she checks or we walk out, she actually agreed upon us to walk out and picked up our menu cards

Hustling with the bill. Giving them self whatever tip they want. Bad food and even badder service. Don’t eat here if you don’t wanna be scammed.

The Spaghetti House I used to know is long gone. Been in Oxford Street Restaurant. Not a word of italian. No italian waiters or cook... what a delusion... food not bad but prices very, very high....

Worst experience ever. Rude staff. Unorganized rude manager. Zero customer service. We order one drink and one food for two people and they said they don’t accept it. We are from California and are not used to such a behavior.

We took some American friends there for lunch. The waiter hardly spoke any English. We had to repeat our order several times and ended up having to point to the items on the menu. The Salmon & Broccoli was swimming oil. The minestrone was very sour and we had to ask for cheese several times. We would have complained but didn't because we were with guests. We have been happy Spaghetti House customers for decades. All the Italian staff have gone and some restaurants have closed. This business and its long reputation for fine Italian food is sadly no more. I can't compare this restaurant with others in the area, only the deterioration from what it once was. We are quite sad about what they've done to this brand.

We stopped here for a quick bite after our shopping trip in Oxford Street. The food was ok, nothing fancy, and came out fairly quick. The waiter was polite and helped us with the table. Two pastas, two starters, a salad and a couple of drinks cost us £80. Not the best value/quality ratio but you pay Oxford street prices. I went to this place twice; I loved it the first time and I was craving it for a couple of days until I went today, never again WORST SERVICE, it was a different waiter and even his manager a blonde lady was rude, she even told us not to come again. We sat for 10 minutes waiting for them to bring us menus and left us sitting in dirty tables, he saw us sit he removed the cigarretes and he left all the dirt until i asked more than two times for someone to clean it and take our order. I swear it was like a whole different restaurant . He ignored us the tthe whole time; two tables came after us in ten minutes , they got their order straight away and they ate their food and finished and OUR ORDER HAS NOT ARRIVED YET!! TWO TABLES!!! After uss!! And whenever i asked him his attitude was so bad! Even his manager and in the end he told me we arent mcdonalds you dont have to come again!! i was utterly shocked and upset from todays service . So so bad. Even though i just ordred appetizers it was so obvious that the delay and the treatment we got was on purpose it was really bad.!! I told him in the end i was so excited to come here your partner was amazing to us last time and now you made me hate this restaurant instead of being welcoming like him, and he replied haha we arent macdonalds we dont need you dont come again and his manager i think had the same reply too ; she came whilst i was paying and talking to him and told me itsnokay dontncome again. So sad. I guess the muslim population is not welcome! Anyway never again ! PLENTY OF BETTER ITALIAN RESTAURANTS EVERYWHERE!

I was so excited to try their pasta but it was kinda disappointing The pasta was great but I thought it would be better We ordered pasta carbonara it was regular classic pasta with tomato and not much spices The second pasta I forgot its name but with white sauce, Also was great but not that much

Bon restaurant, la nourriture est correcte sans être excellente. Carte plutôt basique. Le cadre est plus original que ce qui est proposé dans l’assiette. Mention spéciale pour l’option sans Gluten. Cependant les pâtes trop poivrées et le service majoré a 13.5% laissent à désirer … Important de préciser tout de même que le personnel est aimable !

I had a pathetic experience. I ordered just one juice and was waiting for one of my friend he was stuck because of the train strikes and came in next 40 mins and ordered just a cup of tea as he was full too like me. There's a girl who was making bad faces because we did not order anything else and their expressions were telling us to get out.. Lol! I know it's sounds weird but yes I have been through this. They just don't value people.

Went for Sunday lunch after my sisters 30th birthday shopping, so you could say it was a day of celebration. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, we asked for a table for 3 plus a pram and even that looked too much of an ask and a lot of effort (the restaurant was almost empty) so it wasn't inconvenient but it felt it. Got on the train and my sister felt immediately unwell, got home and she was violently sick, we ate different things so i was fine luckily, avoid the mozzarella as it was clearly out of date. She called to tell the restaurant about it and was greeted by the abrupt and rude manager/owner shouting down the phone she wont do anything without a hospital note. We all know you don't go to hospital for sickness, and it is the only thing we ate all day and felt unwell immediately after so am confident in saying it was the food, after reading other reviews sounds like we weren't the only ones. They have the cheek to add an £8 service charge for what exactly? Earn your service charge and people will leave it off their own back. Will never return due to the response we got on the phone, rest of food was average but cooked at least, disgusting attitude from the woman in charge and quite frankly your in the wrong industry if you cant even talk to people politely or get food that wont make you sick! Avoid.

My pasta was half finished and the waiter still didn't come back with the parmesan. All the male staff was at the top level of rude and just looked like they wanted to punch everybody. They treated customers like they were trash. This is my 6th time attending spaghetti house for some pasta but the service is beyond atrocious each time. I wouldn't go if I wasn't starving to the point of fainting. Least to say each branch that I attend the staff is horrible everywhere. Idk what's with the consistent atrocity of staff. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Something needs to be done there. The place looks OK but everything else is shocking! The waiters looked like they had enough and are forced to work. The manager was rude, shouting and swearing 🤬 The toilet- dirty, the bin was full, toilet paper was everywhere, the sink- disgusting 🫣 The food was cold and pizza looked like needed to be in the oven a little bit longer. We wanted a nice quiet dinner with drinks but end up in a place like that, we couldn't even have a conversation due to the swearing and shouting. Left really disappointed with a bad stomach. 👎

I never leave a bad review but today I feel like I have to! Spaghetti house Oxford Street just horrible service no manners no one cares the manager is shouting and sitting having drinks with her friends or customers worse the waiter or manager seems like he’s forced to work. Hope this will be seen by the HR because for charging 13,50% for service you need to offer one . On other circumstances I would never accept to pay or allow to be treated this way but I was with with family didn’t want to kill the vibe more that they did! Don’t go there until they make changes

Lovely solo lunch on a very hot day. Fab atmosphere...attentive waiters. Fair price, air con and most amazing lemon & basil ice cream. Thanks guys..

Probably the worst Italian place I've been to. The food was okay. The bolognese I ordered was a bit salty but was edible, but I've never been to a restaurant where the pasta portion was so small, it still left me hungry after!! Had to have a 2nd smaller dinner at another place to fill up.

We are a family of five. We sat down and the waiters arrived and was very impatient, was rude and unpleasant. We ordered soup, pizza, pasta, bolognese, drinks, bread, everything taste bad and unfresh. There are plenty of other restaurants around, you better find a good one.

Absolutely terrible food and customer service. The rosemary potatoes were basically raw, they just brought some crackers in a package instead of "fresh Italian bread" and such rude and impatient staff. Unbelievably overpriced for the quality.

Es un lindo sitio, hemos venido a tomar un café con tiramisù. Al pagar nos habían recargado un 13.5% extra de service charge, cuando normalmente es 10%. A pesar de esto el camarero insistía para que le dejemos tips, ha digo un poco desagradable la situación de que te pongan presión para dejar tips .

Deja mucho que desear. Tanto la atención cómo el menú. No vuelvo. Igualmente gracias! 🥰

Service is terrible absolute a joke! The food is edible but nothing special! You could easily find some better place near by. I found it extremely rude when the waiter who was passing me cuterly into my hand rather than place it on the table, or expected me to pass him empty plates announced to me and my girlfriend's at the end of the meal that we should not forget about tips!!! Excuse me? With the 13,5% of service charge you haven't even deserved for 1% of the tips for the service we received!!!

Food was fine, nothing special. Staff were disinterested. Loud, with staff clanking cutlery and dishes and complaining about not getting tips (on top of their service charge). Poor value, though perhaps to be expected given the location. Will not return.

Group of 6. Very disappointed with our meals and service. We had to chase up a missed drink 3 times. Beers and soft drink were warm, salad leaves were old and slimy. The pizza and pasta for other tables looked great but my burger was not. Only saving grace for the second star was that the manager comped our drinks for the disappointment.

We were given seats very quickly and the food was quick to arrive. Delicious food and good portion sizes. Also amazing service in general especially from a member named Anna-Maria, she made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend to new customers.

I came in April. I had the opportunity to taste the pasta with mushrooms and ceps (which I normally don't like), recommended by the chef. And it was really delicious. The waiters and waitresses were really nice, (Rita I think and sorry I forgot the other names 🤦🏼‍♀️). I would come back the next time I'm in London, in May or June 🤞

Disappointing. Food was tasty enough but my pasta was undercooked. My friends pasta was a bit tasteless. Service was slow and not great, seemed to not understand anything we wanted. Not accommodating. Wasn't the worst but definitely not the best.

I had the garlic pizza bread and spaghetti with arrabbiata sauce. It was really good food which surprised me as it's a chain. Good service too and great location, about five minutes from Bond Street station.

Annemarie was amazing host, had a beautiful meal. Definitely come back here again and recommend to all.

We booked a table and on arrival was shown to our table, unfortunately our server didn't understand basic English, We ordered a garlic bread for a sharing starter and a pizza, chips and plain burger for our main which our server struggled to understand. A table next to us ordered after us and had they starter before us and our garlic bread arrived with the mains. I complained and our mains were then taken away and left to go cold on the counter and then brought back to us after we had finished our starter. I then complained and again our server didn't understand so i asked to speak to the manager. He then took them away and reheated our food and we think fresh chips which we was happy with. After this we were completely ignored, No asking of how was our food, would we like another drink and to see the dessert menu. I asked for the service charge to be removed which again was not understood, it was removed as we did not get any service after we complained. Safe to say we will not be returning.

Good service and tasty food. Great location in a very busy area. Found me a table despite being Saturday afternoon. Small grumble though £8.50 for a small lager! Maybe London's twinned with Norway?

The staff here are absolutely lovely and really welcoming. We would like to say a really big thanks for their ovely, welcoming smiles - Alex and Sharif were great. Their friendliness made us feel at home and they went out of their way to assist us. The food was lovely! We ordered via uber delivery and had it delivered to our hotel. My husband ordered the spaghetti carbonara and the garlic bread. He was very happy and happily shocked at how hot it was for being delivered.

Wir wollten draussen sitzen und ein kaffee trinken, als wir draußen sassen warten wir bis jemand für die bestellung kommt. Kellner kam raus hat uns angeschaut aber uns ignoriert, nach 10min sind wir gegangen.

My carbonara was very bland, and my Ceasar's salad tasted bitter. Portions were too small, especially for their insane prices. Staff were not *rude* but not exactly enthusiastic either. The other two people at my table did enjoy their food but were similarly dissatisfied with the size of the portions. Waiter gave me attitude & a sarcastic comment when I asked to waive the optional service fee (and we were not made aware that it was optional in the first place). Overall, it wasn't terrible, but don't go there.
