Great atmosphere, welcoming attentive staff. Food was excellent despite the other recent reviews. Portions were generous, food was hot and very tasty. Desserts were excellent.

Scelto per la sua posizione, comoda per il nostro tour londinese. E' decentrato, al difuori del solito giro turistico al centro di Londra. Si presenta molto bene con tavoli sia all'aperto che un'ampia possibilità di tavoli all'interno. Il risporante offre un'ampia scelta di piatti, particolarmen te diverse tipologie di paste italiane, molto ben presentate e condite. Ho mangiato tagliolini fatti in casa al tartufo: veramente speciali. La scelta dei vini é ampia, particolarmente per quelli italiani, con un'occhio attento ad alcune case produttrici. Il prezzo é nella media inglese purtroppo assai alto, ma si esce soddisfatti.

Comida de mala calidad. El entrante de calamares apareció muy rápido demostrando que no estaba recién cocinado y debe haber estado sentado alrededor. La pasta de almejas tenía 10 conchas de almejas y solo 4 almejas. La salsa estaba espesa y pegajosa de nuevo, lo que indica que no se cocinó a la orden, sino simplemente sentado de nuevo. Extremadamente caro y no merece una buena crítica de Giles Coren.

Después de haber comido aquí antes de regresar un sábado por la noche, nos encontramos con un restaurante que se había quedado sin muchos elementos en el menú a las 8 de la noche del sábado de un fin de semana festivo. Era noche de comedia, ya que la camarera regresó tres veces para decir que nuestro plato elegido no estaba disponible. Pedimos ver al gerente y gerente de turno Patrick cane con todo el encanto de un gerente de servicio al cliente de RyanAir. Queríamos una disculpa (y una comida) pero estábamos tan fuera que nos fuimos a llevar nuestra costumbre a un restaurante que tenía comida y valiosos clientes.

Very good food. On point service. Prices are 20% higher than they should be. 90min allowance for Saturday night dinner is not enough to enjoy a proper meal.

The hype is real! The food is superb and I appreciated as a vegetarian having multiple options. They were very nice to me about bringing my assistance dog. My favorite was the chocolate torte, which I think I'm going to have to order every time I go! Thank you for a nice visit.

How good it was to visit an old friend with the relaunch of Babbo at St John's Wood, NW8. My wife and I were greeted by old friends and new and spent a very comfortable two hours in the lavish rich red environment being attended to by an attentive young staff whilst exploring the range of dishes on the A La Carte menu. We started with a selection of freshly baked breads, melt in the mouth Tartar Di Tonno and Carpaccio Di Manzo ( beautiful beef fillet). For the main course we had Lobster Tagliolini and a luxurious 8 hour slow roast beef lasagna, followed by a house speciality Tiramisu and a smooth Creme Brûlée all washed down by a bottle or two of their incredibly reasonable Primitivo Villa de Fiori. Needless to say we will be returning soon. I would highly recommend you consider Babbo when looking for a treat for you and your family / friends

Hugely disappointing. Tesco-quality pizza, the lobster linguini was so spicy that it was inedible. Vitello tonnato was also spicy - huge no no for this classic recipe. Small portions and zero value for money. Will not visit again. Staff nice but clueless.

Great addition to the High Street. We tried a few dishes. The pizza was much tastier than it looked. A little heavy on the cheese but delicious. And enhanced by some chilli oil. For main I had the Lasagne which was rich and generous. Filling comfort food. My wife had tagliatelle and was a in delicious herby sauce and highly rated. We will be back.

Tengo que decir que estaba muy decepcionado con este restaurante. El tamaño de la porción de la pasta que pedimos no era lo suficientemente grande para alimentar a un niño de dos años. Lo que era aún peor era que el camarero trató de justificar el tamaño de la porción y dijo que era el tamaño correcto para un entrante. Pedimos más pasta y, para añadir insulto a la lesión volvió con 5 piezas de pasta (espaguetis) y unas almejas. Qué insulto a los italianos que son generosos con sus porciones. Quien sea el dueño de este restaurante debe prestar atención a lo que el personal está haciendo ... es un nuevo negocio para arrancar. Caro también.

Ordered 2 pizzas, very disappointing. Dough seemed like a supermarket frozen pizza one, very small as well. Probably an afterthought on the menu, would have been better to not serve pizzas at all. It’s a shame cos the inside is very nice and servers are nice, although we weren’t asked how the food was up until the end.

We just returned as regular customers of Babbo Mayfair. We found out on Instagram that they had opened another Babbo in St. John's Wood, so we decided to try it, and it was amazing! They kept the same chef, so the food was just as great as it used to be in Mayfair. We will definitely be back.

Lovely restaurant! About the starters: the bread basket and parmesan with olives were incredible (although the bread was too much for two people). The tuna tartare was a bit disappointing. Mains: the lasagna was very nice but a bit too salty for my taste. The truffle pasta was perfection!!! Dessert: incredible tiramisu! Overall very nice experience - only a bit loud and a bit expensive

The staff were really nice and the service was good even though the night that we went was almost full. (Approx jan 22nd 2025). However the food seemed really bland. Nothing tasted delicious. All dishes looked good but it was lacking flavour The lack of soft furnishings (eg curtains, table mats or tablecloths) and overly close tables and chairs made the room way too noisy and frenetic. The lighting was surprisingly harsh. If you are younger then you might not mind the noise and the lights.

First time here as a local and in among a lot of average restaurants, both past and present, this really stands out. Almost permanently packed, service was attentive, discreet and professional and everyone who was with us on a table for five loved everything: the aubergine parmigiana, the bread, the Parm chunks and all the deserts were particularly memorable. Well done, everyone, this was really very impressive so shortly after opening. 🌟

Gran servicio y personal encantador. Pequeñas porciones Acabo de regresar de este restaurante en la calle John’s Wood high street. Es un restaurante encantador y el personal era encantador. Sin embargo, pedí el mar - lubina en £ 32 y la porción era diminuta, pequeña y lo más decepcionante. Pasta con trufa era uno de los otros platos que teníamos .. perfectamente cocinado, pero de nuevo una porción pequeña v en efecto. La pizza que tenía mi marido era excelente y la pasta de setas también era excelente y un tamaño más normal. Sin embargo, en general esto es caro para lo que es , y necesitan ordenar la porción - tamaños. El mar - la lubina era como una pequeña camarera - como (la mitad) de los peces. No lo suficiente. Delicioso desierto de tiramisú era scrummy sin embargo. Una cosa más... la acústica es horrible. Fue imposible escuchar a mis amigos en la mesa. ¡En total 7/10! Pero todavía es temprano para este nuevo restaurante local.

Two decades in St John's Wood and we finally have a proper Italian restaurant in the area. Fantastic food and service lead by Patrick the incredible manager and his team (Mr. T is a legend) The meatballs and the fried calamari was one of the best I've had in London. The Lobster Tagliolini was amazing and the roast potatoes were the best I've ever had. Well done and keep it up!

It was wonderful to see some friends and a colleague choose this lovely place. As soon as we entered and were greeted with a warm smile and led to our table, our delightful experience began. They had an impressive selection of drinks, and we were promptly served. The food was delectable, hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and were not rushed at all. It’s an amazing place, and I can’t wait to return. Our friends made an excellent choice, and I’m definitely going back soon.

We used to go to Babbo in Mayfair before it was permanently closed, we found out there is a new Babbo just open in St John’s Wood, so my wife booked a table as we were excited to see one of our favourite Italian restaurant is back! Food was amazing exactly as it was in Mayfair! Best PARMIGIANA, Aranchini, Angel hair with truffles… thank you Babbo for coming back! Service was also very friendly and great. We don’t live close by St John’s Wood but we will go back there for Babbo soon again.

Hemos estado en este nuevo lugar -que me dicen que solía estar en Mayfair antes de desaparecer durante el Covid y re- emergiendo recientemente en la calle John's Wood -dos veces recientemente, la segunda vez en Nochevieja-. A pesar del estrés de servir una cena de Nochevieja a un restaurante lleno, la comida era mejor en nuestra segunda visita. El personal es encantador, la decoración cálida y hay algunos excelentes vinos (seleccionados por el experto y entusiasta Yuri). La comida es italiana - inspirado y en su mayoría bueno. Los panes, los mariscos (gambas reales con polenta y alcaparras) y la carne (mejillas de ternera cocidas de 12 horas) están bien; la pasta podría estar más al dente; tristemente un tiramisú lamentablemente carecía de mucho rastro detectable de alcohol. Por el momento solo están abiertos para cenar, pero aparentemente hay planes para ofrecer desayuno y almuerzo pronto. Puedo ver que esto se convierte en un gran pozo - parada para una pizza con una copa de vino, pero también un lugar divertido para un banquete familiar.

I saw the owner walk in the kitchen after being called in due to an injury. The head chef him straight out after 20 mins after making a catastrophe mistake. He said to him he was banned for 3 days, honestly it was a clown show in there. I use to come here to see the owners on a Thursday as they were available, now I come on a Tuesday since they are free Tuesdays. They are always booked up.

Cannot fault this restaurant. Very friendly, thoughtful and accomodating service. Food was delicious, fresh and pieces of art on a plate. Even the bread basket can out do starters and mains in some other establishments. I didn't drink alcohol during my visit and the bar staff did a fantastic job at creating rogue drinks on request. We also received complimentary sweet bites at the end of our meal, post dessert, and the staff were so lovely they gave me fresh fruit to make sure I wasn't left out because of my nut allergy. Highly recommend this restaurant and I want to go back asap!!! The only thing to caveat is I went for a business lunch so did not use my own funds and the portions are smaller at quite premium prices. However, for the quality I think it's worth it. Also, you can look up the prices online before your visit so please don't be put off by those negative reviews in relation to costs. Babbo is also in a very affluent area so I don't know why people were expecting quantity in bulk.

Quirky little place in Mayfair, food was great along with the drinks! Prices werent too bad drinks were a little over priced and the service charge was ridiculous but really good place and definitely return! If your in the area a must visit!

Honestly can’t recommend this place enough, as some one who has enjoyed visiting Italy a number of times, this place blew me away with its food. Wow! Visited here with my partner, had an awful experience in a restaurant last night so really wanted to make tonight a good one! Booked a table for 9pm (we arrived late) we called them and they said not to worry and to relax. Already a big bonus for us as we felt less pressure! Arrived (slightly underdressed) but it is 28 degrees so would be more comfortable in shorts than trousers - again, no judgement, no comments and no less effort out into service - which is what we have received at other restaurants in the town. Service - every single waiter, waitress and barman was incredibly attentive, welcoming, polite and impeccable at their jobs. They all stopped to chat to us, to recommend dishes, wines and cocktails and even though we were the last table to leave, didn’t rush us or treat us any differently. Food - absolutely incredible! I had the veal meatballs and lasagne, my partner had the arancini and the truffle linguini - every mouthful of every dish tasted incredible. We had countless cocktails and every one of them was incredible. We are looking to book a trip back to London purely for this restaurant!

Beautiful fine dining experience obviously. It’s situated at the heart of Mayfair. Very chic Italian! We had an al fresco experience but the tables were super close to each other - even if there wasn’t a pandemic, it would have still felt like people were in your personal space. That said, food was good. Took a bit of time to arrive but arrived hot and nice. Presentation was excellent. Absolute food art. Loved it. The value for money wasn’t great. Think it was over priced for the quality and portions . Good selections of wines though and staff were friendly and professional.

fine dining experience was great. Customer service was heavy on experience but the food took a little too long, pasta was wasn’t perfect but other than that everything else was great. This was ok, although I think they put more attention into making it seem like the customers are having a good experience then actually delivering on it. Granted it is difficult right now with restrictions, but my food came out basically ice cold and by the time I found a server who noticed me it was ironically too late to complain. I think they should focus less on trying to be a fine dining restaurant and deliver on good quality, hot food, served in a timely way. Also don’t discount customers who are dining solo, just because someone is eating alone doesn’t mean they won’t spend money nor notice the service and pass recommendations on to friends. End of the day, was good, but wouldn’t hurry to go back there

Due to lockdown and Tier 3, I am yet to have a sit down meal at Babbo however, I have had a couple of absolutely delicious takeaway cappuccinos in the last month and I can highly recommend. Truly great Italian coffee! On my last trip, I was recommended by Bruno, the GM, to try the chicken and avocado panini. It was out of this world delicious! Cannot wait to return for a sit down meal in January.

On Wednesday my partner surprised me with a meal here and I can honestly say it is one of the best Italian restaurants that I have ever been too! Every single person from the front of house ladies, manager, bartender and waiters was lovely! We were impressed by their professionalism and the way they built a rapport with us. Our main waiter was Alisso, he was extremely attentive to our needs and had a brilliant customer service manner. He recommended dishes, regularly topped up our glasses and made sure we enjoyed every part of our meal and service. Me and partner both ordered bread and the "fried squid, prawn and courgette starter". The seafood was fried to perfection! juicy yet crispy. The selection of bread was warm and came with a selection of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For our mains I had the salt baked seabass as recommended by Alisso and I can honestly say that It was amazing. The fish came with a server who carefully took the fish out of the salt, de skinned & boned the fish. It truly was spectacular and the seabass was so succulent that it melted in my mouth. My partner had the harissa grilled chicken which was moist and juicy with nice mellow spicy kick. My partner didn't have a dessert but I had the chocolate fondant. Once again, I could not fault the tastiness and presentation of the food. To top of our evening, my partner picked the restaurant as David Luiz and Willian own the restaurant, & my partner is a die hard Arsenal fan. We actually met one of them and my partner managed to get a picture with Willian which made his night! All & all this restaurant is amazing, from the location in Mayfair, the interior, ambience, staff and food. I have already recommended this restaurant to my friends, family and the consultants that I work with and I will continue to do so!

I went to Babbo as it was close to the hotel. The reception and service was lovely. I had a beetroot salad and four cheese pizette. The salad of course is always glorious because of beetroot and mix no doubt. But the four cheese - need a revisit. It was hard to distinguish the cheeses in the 4. Although the portion was very good as with the crust just the cheese. The tiramisu had some old reviews that indicated that it came with a cream poured over the dessert. It didn't seem consistent with how it was served then: The tiramisu arrived in a dessertware which what looked like a whipped cream on top of biscuity base. It very dry. All in all it was OK. The inside was cozy and warm and quirky. It's still worth a coming back to try other items on the menu. But sadly I will not be ordering the tiramisu 😔.

Great service, nice staff and amazing drinks

Went in this afternoon, ordered a couple of coffees, they arrived within a couple of minutes of sitting down, the cappuccino was fine however the flat white came out with the consistency of water. Not expected at all, specially as this place was recommended by colleagues. Major let down for the price point.

One of the best Italians in London. The service is great and the food even better. The melanzane and pizzeta are must have , try the raspberry tarte for dessert and you will not regret it .

The owner of this restaurant arrived and within 25 mins my meal had been given to the wrong person who ate it and then had been dropped on the floor on the second order. The owner made countless mistakes this day, and was forced to leave the restaurant after causing a calamity in the back. This restaurant owner is unreliable and the manager wants to get rid of him which will hopefully happen by June 30th. An utter waste of £8 million. Would not recommend this place unless you want a terrible experience. Bin.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant! Superb service and food! They were terrific especially with a baby (high chair provided) and young children, in fact welcoming and for a Mayfair restaurant exceptionally hospitable! Would highly recommend and look forward to going again!

When we arrived, I asked for some olives with my drinks as we were waiting for others to arrive and the olives were so tiny, they were all stone! Once our party arrived, we sat at our table and our food arrived. The food was of okay quality, I had to wait until after everyone else finished their bread starter for mine to come out (mine was gluten free), it's just a bit awkward getting your dish as everyone else is finishing theirs, but I was happy that I was accommodated for! The rest of the food was nice, but nothing special - the two dishes that stood out to me the most was the creme brulee, (that was delicious!) and the white fish was also nice. Unfortunately the steak which I was really looking forward to needed more salt. The service was okay, there was only one other group in the restaurant and it felt like we were being watched closely but that our requests were not being acknowledged or that it was too much trouble to do. It wasn't the friendly environment that I expected. We asked for the leftover cheese board cheeses to take away but received only 2 boxes, one with the full of quite tasteless cheese and one box with the more flavoured cheeses but there were 6 or so cheese boards that weren't touched so not sure where all of that extra cheese went as there only seemed to be one slice of each of the flavoured cheeses inside the box. Overall okay, but their hype and location made my expectations for them quite high and they did not meet them.

Don’t go here, like ever!!! Overpriced, small plates of food which isn’t great. The set menu is not available every day like it says on the website so if you plan to have the set menu always check. Or better yet, choose a different place all together! Also, when they said they don’t have the set menu we wanted to leave and they said they’ll charge us £20 per person!! Which is the cancellation policy for parties of 6 or more. We were 4!! Sorry Babbo, you looked amazing but disappointing like hell.

Not value for money because the food served in very super small portion.ordered lobster pasta, it was hard and 2 small pieces of lobster. Very disappointing. Also, waited 40 minutes for two pasta. How awful. The only positive things is staff is friendly, that's it.

Took my girlfriend to Babbos for our anniversary. The whole experience was amazing. This was my first time going to a fancy pants fine dining restaurant and it was worth every penny. The service was brilliant and the food was delicious. Our waiter was brilliant and we were not rushed at all. The best dining experience I've ever had. I will definitely be taking my girlfriend back again in the new year. Thank you Babbos.

Great service, very expensive for what you get : the quality is good (not excellent) and the size is small. For that price you should either get delicious and small, or good and large, but not tiny and good. Staff was very nice, and overall an okay experience.

Babbo is cute and lovely place with a special design. I love the old Fiat 500 in front of the restaurant to promote the place and the food is excellent.

I was at Babbo with my family and we really enjoyed the dinner there. Everything was perfect: food, cocktails, service. We really liked the Babbo Parmigiana. The best one I have ever tasted. I recommend it to everyone who really wants to know the real taste of Italian food. My kids ate the special Babbo "pizzetta" with white truffle. It was very delicious. Fabulous place to enjoy a nice dinner with your family. We will surely be back. See you soon guys!

Babbo is an italian restaurant in mayfair . The staff are friendly & the service is proper. Besides , the food is tasty & the food portion is balanced i.e neither little nor large

We have dined here five or six times and the food and service cannot be faulted. Each time we have taken different guests and they have all agreed that the meal was excellent.

Absolutely amazing experience - we went for the bottomless brunch. The food was exceptional and the staff were amazingmy partner proposed to me and every member of staff congratulated us. We will definitely be back. Thank you xxx
