As a seasoned couple of a certain age 🤪 we have eaten Indians for over 40 years all over the uk. We stumbled on the Indian Ocean whilst staying in Bournemouth for the weekend. The service from entering to leaving was exceptional and we even got to chat to the amazing chef at the end of the night. The food was fantastic, one of the best, if not the best we have experienced. We had the poppodoms and pickles to start, these were non greasy, fresh and crisp and the yogurt dip was sooooooo good 👍 We then shared a prawn Madras, garlic naan, egg fried rice and a saag chana that the restaurant made specifically for us. It’s hard to explain the quality and taste of all of the food, except to say, flavoursome, fresh tasting, with generous portions and an abundance of prawns in the curry. A nice warm hand cleaner afterwards, chocolate mind and a friendly chat with the owner to be informed that the red had won a top Southwest award for excellence. Please visit this restaurant as you will not be disappointed. If I could give it more starts I would 👍

We have tried many Indian / Bangladeshi restaurents in Bournemouth & Poole but always come back to our local favourite, never had a bad meal here and the service is always friendly and reliable, great discount if you collect ypurself

He visitado el restaurante en Nochebuena para una cena con mis amigos de la universidad , tenían un montón de opciones en currys de toda la India, especialmente comida callejera india, madras de pollo y tikka masala y todos los curry's tenían un sabor auténtico especial de la India que no encontré en ningún otro restaurante asiático en Bournemouth . Y otra ventaja es el buen servicio, la comida fresca, ya que el restaurante es galardonado y el chef galardonado. incluso nosotros obtuvimos el descuento estudiantil.

Would not recommend! Ordered a pick up take away… Food was average, very oily and two different curry’s with the same flavour base including added sugar, ordered lamb samosa received vegetable samosas ordered sauces for the papadums didn’t receive any and rice was cold. Service awful, was not offered a drink whilst waiting 25 min for food. Other pick ups were offered to sit down (men). Atmosphere - AWFUL, music loud and Latin from you tube from waiters phone which he flicked for his pleasure, not great signal so skipped with adverts. Patrons do not need to listen to ads whilst in a restaurant!! No coherency with the aesthetic. Carpet dirty! Tables dirty with stains. Would not return or recommend.
