The best restaurants serving Indian food in Westbourne and West Cliff Bournemouth South West

Just been for the Sunday buffet. Food was delicious and good service. Plenty of selections for starters, mains, rice, nann, sides and rice pudding dessert. Freshly cooked and fantastic value at £14.99 per person. I tried the lamb kara which was so tender and tasty. Also has chicken tikka massage and korma, which are always my go to. Always a nice welcome from the owner and his team. 👋

I ordered a takeaway for my birthday. It was a Monday. I placed the order at 5.30pm for a 7pm delivery. Shouldnt be busy as it is Monday I thought. I expected to turn up a little early if anything. Nope. It was 40m late. Took two phone calls from me to chase. Second time the person at the other end admitted the delivery guy did not leave until after 7. The food itself is decent. I have ordered a delivery several times before. It is a bit hit and miss and no way to track. This was the most delayed. I have also dined in here which is clearly the better option. My main complaint is there is no warning. They would have known it was going to be late. Also something in the way of compensation would be nice. The train companies do it now. On a side note. I ordered a Bhuna and Rogan Josh and they were virtually identical. Certainly in appearance.

I recently dined at Indian Ocean and had a delightful experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and the service was prompt and friendly. For my meal, I ordered the egg fried rice and plain rice, both of which were well-prepared and complemented the main dishes nicely. The Chicken Madras was a standout; it was rich in flavor and had just the right amount of spice, making it a satisfying choice. I also enjoyed the snacks platter, which offered a great variety and was perfect for sharing. Overall, the food was delicious, and I would definitely recommend Indian Ocean to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu!

Gone rapidly down hill in service and in Food to the point I will never use again, we’ve had Christmas parties here for around 25 friends over the last 5 years but not this year after another dismal service last weekend. Just about the worst Indian restaurant for a considerable distance.

We’ve been coming here every so often for some years. The staff are always polite and friendly, there is a pleasant atmosphere inside, and there is a good variety of dishes on the menu. The food is plentiful and tasty. Well recommended.

When we want Indian this is our go to place! The quality of the food has always been exceptional, with great portions and good service! We highly recommend this place! We've been going for years and it never disappoints. Five stars 🌟
