Fantastic food and service, thoroughly delightful evening

We had not visited this restaurant for some months and were pleasantly surprised! We were made to feel very welcome. The restaurant is light and airy with comfortable seats. The meal was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent.

Food delicious and just the right quantity. Happy it was delivered early. Would order again.

Absolute stunning restaurant with high quality food and extra ordinary service..All the staffs are friendly and welcoming.

Curry was bland. Tasted like a paneer tomato ragu rather than a curry. Chicken dish again had the same problem. The waitress kept asking our partners if they wanted anymore drinks but not us as if to say the women do not need any drinks?

very early delivery and the food was excellent. I had the chicken tikka Vindaloo, which was cooked to perfection. Vindaloo cooked properly is not supposed to blow your head off with the first bite. It's a gradual heat and full of flavour. My only gripe was the singular bombay potato, 1 or 2 more would have been perfect. Big chunks of tender chicken also. The wife had a Korma and said it was beautiful. Highly recommend

One of the worst places to order food. Never ordering food

Am a little disappointed that the food was cold when it arrived. The main dishes were adequate but the side dish portions were very small and generally under seasoned. They were improved by the addition of salt.

Tanto el pollo Korma como el cordero Rogan Josh eran sosos y mal especiados, y los entrantes de bhaji y pollo tikka carecían del sabor y la calidad de la comida - en versiones. El gerente se ofreció a reenviar porciones de platos fríos y se disculpó porque fueron los conductores la primera noche en el trabajo, pero no ofreció reembolso.

Service was ok, food was average. Just tasted like garam masala with chopped tomato and sugar. the 3x prawns for 21quid was a disappointment. The wine was nice

Very average. When we complained about the 21 pound main which consisted of three king prawns, very sweet sauce and a bit of plain boring naan, it wasn't acknowledged at all. No offering of discount on the bill for clearly being unhappy with our food. Won't eat there again.

Indi’s - as always - remains the healthiest Indian restaurant that I have ever come across. Consistently high standards, freshest ingredients, good portions, and exceptional taste, without the curry swimming in oil. Highly recommended.

Excellent food at Indi's. Always high quality curries with fresh ingredients. This time, I tried the lamb biryani, which was delicious! The whole family loved their meals.

This was my first Lassi I couldn’t drink up, it tasted like it had stayed on a warm place way too long. When I mentioned it, I didn’t even got a sorry and of course paid full price for something I couldn’t drink up at all! The salmon, the few vegetables and sauce were boring, plain and tasteless. And a bit burned. I never ever eat here again.

I don't like leaving this review but I was really shocked to be charged a 10% service charge on top of a fairly expensive meal. We were the only 2 people in the restaurant at one point this evening, I really can't see what was soo challenging serving us that you had to charge 10% more. I'm afraid this will put me off returning. Plenty of other places to go locally.

Gone rapidly down hill in service and in Food to the point I will never use again, we’ve had Christmas parties here for around 25 friends over the last 5 years but not this year after another dismal service last weekend. Just about the worst Indian restaurant for a considerable distance.

First and last time trying. Worst £60 ever spent on a takeaway for two. Terrible. Chicken curry was more like a soup or stew, flavourless. Sum biryani full of bits, lacking flavour, too much chilli. My wife is Indian and she was really looking forward to this, ended up incredulous. Trying to be something they are not. Burned Samosa and Onion bhaji. The only saving grace was the Pani Puri. Steer clear.

Unfortunately food items were missing from our order and over 3 weeks on, despite numerous calls and emails, no refund has been given or apology offered. Very poor customer service.

Food generally very good but pakoras not so good

El mejor restaurante indio en el que hemos estado. Desde el momento en que nos sentamos a salir al final el servicio fue fantástico que eran tan amables y atentos a cada mesa. El menú tenía una amplia selección de algo para todos. Al tener alergia a los frutos secos me informaron qué no pedir. La comida era muy deliciosa y fresca. Sin duda volveremos.

Outstanding meal, first class service, would highly recommend, you won't be disappointed

Parecen más interesados en recibir pedidos de comida para llevar que nosotros los clientes pobres esperando más de una hora y 15 minutos para la comida. Tuvimos 3 botellas de agua de mesa mientras esperábamos ya que queríamos beber el vino con nuestras comidas. Ni siquiera ofrecieron una botella de vino en la casa. Nos negamos a pagar el cargo por servicio que tenían la mejilla de poner en la factura. Otro cliente que escuchamos quejándose de que no consiguieron sus entrantes, pero lo pusieron en la factura.

We booked a table for the evening based on the leaflet we picked up outside to find when we got there the evening menu was completely different - deceiving customers.The poppadoms came before the drinks. Waited 50 minutes for the main courses. Food was good not exceptional. One of our main dishes was on the table 5 minutes before the rice or any other meals came. Sag aloo had no spinach in it. A vegetable curry was served on a wooden board with sauce in a jug to pour over how does that work? When we raised issues at the end we were told we did not understand their concept of fine dining. Insulting - we have been to fine dining restaurants and never waited so long. To summarise drinks and food overpriced. Manager was off hand and dismissive.

Platos perfectamente ejecutados, comida relajada y el personal era excepcional. La mejor comida fuera en mucho tiempo! Recomienda el arrancador tandoori paneer.

Ordered chicken biryani but what arrived was a totally different dish, I have never eaten rice biryani like this it was like rice mixed with yellow sauce and chunks of chicken with some green peas, edible but definitely NOT chicken biryani. Mixed platter was very oily and the samosa was not cooked properly. Poppadoms was okay. Salad was okay. The free vegetable curry was appreciated but smelt off so went in the bin. Delivery was approx 15 minutes later than stated. Overall I won't try again.

Beautiful food, great service, very attentive staff, first ate there Christmas 2022 and the food and service was great then, for some daft reason we’ve not been back until this evening, the food is of the best quality and the service we received was great, really attentive staff, we were happy to pay the 10% service charge, we will need to return much more frequently!

The food was excellent but unfortunately I didn’t get what I ordered. I wanted a Balti with chicken tikka. I got just chicken tikka. When I checked the order on the app, when ordering the balti it just requested what ever the filling of the balti and not that it was a balti. I’m presuming this is a fault with app rather than the restaurant. Will definitely order from here again but will be more careful as to what I choose.

Otra gran comida. El personal es encantador, el restaurante está impecablemente limpio y la comida es excelente . . . una muesca o dos por encima de la comida india de High Street habitual con platos más inusuales y especializados. Muy recomendable.

I ordered a chicken tikka masala, my friend a chicken korma. We were surprised at the flavour as it was very, unpleasantly sweet, like a rice pudding with chicken pieces. Not good, will not visit again.

HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED ...with food, quality and quantity both and the service wasn't up to the mark. I started with the starters as the menu looked tempting so ordered couple of starters to enjoy the variety of taste on the menu... But when the food arrived I was really disappointed by the quantity of food... and later by the taste of it. There was no taste in the chicken... lamb was roo dry to chew the duck rolls were too tiny ... And no dahi in the dahi puri... It seemed to me a kids menu than an adult menu... The drink was served in a cracked glass.. And when I gave the review at reception the lady on the reception was so rude... not at all apologetic and said..."I'll.pass on the comments to the chef. This is only I can do". WONT RECOMMEND....wouldn't eat there for even free.... Would have given minus stars if possible... anyways...

Terrible food, its not indian but a Bangladeshi restaurant. The oil is very stinky, and the chicken was of very bad quality.

this is our new favourite place. lovely atmosphere with great background music. staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. the food? omg. amazing. i’ve never had curry where you can taste every single ingredient before. everything is fresh and you can taste that in every mouthful. take away/ delivery is awesome too. highly recommended.

Warm and friendly staff, and relaxing ambience. The food is a different and tasty combination of Indian-Engilsh dishes: the starters were very nice as well as the two curries we had. You can also still get the classics if you want. The presentation is fancier than regular curry houses, so the whole experience has a more "up-market" feel. Staff were very attentive. Probably we over ordered as we did add also poppadoms, a chapati and gunpowder potatoes (very tasty).

Food always excellent. Service always friendly. Only slight gripe is the long wait to have our order taken.

Returning after several years away from Westbourne and Indis didn't disappoint. Main courses were kerala chicken balti, murgh jalfrezi and a chicken tikka and all were excellent. the side orders of naans, bhajis, sag, etc all tasty. The service has also, if anything, improved to the point of being a little intrusive! Bottles of water were removed when three quarters empty and a new one appeared, new serviettes provided, the crumbs regulakrly being cleared away. However, we agreed that we would rather service be uber attentive than the altrenative! The welcome was also warm and friendly, as we recalled from proevious years. Alongside a couple of beers each the price, excluding tip, was £33+ per head and I think that was good value. Definitely on the agenda for my next likely visit in the autumn.

Just got a takeaway from Ashley cross! Not the same as Westbourne. Menu is not the same! Food very expensive for very small portions! Would not recommend a takeaway! Indis website is not clear you can only order from Westborne!!! Ashley cross should redirect you to Westborne, not take your order over phone and provide small tapas dishes. I’m still hungry!

Different to your average Indian restaurant but it's top quality food with top quality service.

Absolutely love Indi's. The food is amazing, the staff incredible and always prepared to go that extra mile for any specific food requests. I've known of and visited Indi's since it opened over 20 years ago and can honestly say the standard has stayed the same throughout...if anything, it's got even better!

Just ate here Saturday evening. The food was amazing. We had scallops to start which were pricey but worth it; cooked and flavoured beautifully. Our mains were delicious and brilliantly presented. There are lots of amazingly friendly and helpful waiting staff. Every time I visit here, it seems to get better. Definitely recommend.

Good food and great attentive service, I loved the salmon shashlick, side dishes all tasty. Waitresses all friendly and overall was good value for money.

Had a great dinner here this week. The menu is different from the more traditional menus but the food is great. The restaurant is clean and tastefully decorated. The service is very good, very attentive and welcoming. The manager is so lovely, a warm friendly face that makes you want to return.

This is the first time we being in Indis. An absolute amazing place . Most recommended Indian in Bournemouth. The food and service is 10 on 10 . Very pleasant atmosphere with happy staff surrounded . Must visit .

We had our little one's first birthday party here. It was amazing service ,fab food and amazing atmosphere.The staff Agnes, Ponnu and Minnu are so friendly, so we thought what better place to have our party than the hostess. You get great food and brilliant service , I would recommend this place to all. Thanks to all of you who made his special day great.

Indis is one of my Westbourne favourites. Great Currys with a selection of the standard and fish dishes. Friendly service in a relaxed environment!

Really disappointed. Waited almost 2 hours for a delivery and I live 10 minutes down the road but originally said would only take 40 mins. Had to phone them twice asking where the delivery was. When it arrived the bread and rice were cold and hard and the currys barely warm, also no taste, watery curries. Worst Indian I've had in a very long time. Will definitely not visit or have takeaway from here again.

We’ve been coming to Indi’s since about 2002! The food is delicious and really fresh. The team are so friendly. We highly recommend it!

Once was the best around, but quality has gone down, prices have gone up (a lot!) and they sneak on a service charge that when questioned they insist is ‘mandatory’! Service charges are OPTIONAL in the UK!

The food was average and slow coming. The price for drinks are unbelievable £14.50 for a vodka and coke. I won't be going there again.

Staff were very kind and food was nice, but the hidden charges were ridiculous. Was twice what was stated on the online menu. Charged £3 per half pint of coke. The service was pretty slow, which would not be a problem if not for the mandatory £6 service charge they added to the bill. Would be an amazing place to eat if the prices weren't 3x that of a regular indian.

The food was okay, but the prices was terrible paid £72 for just the two of us! The prices are a complete scan and nothing like it is online (it’s essentially double) paid £15 essentially for a lamb rogan Josh whereas online it says £7.95 and wasn’t aware of the price until we paid! The portions were also small the criminal price we paid. Cokes were £3 each from the tap, in small 250ml glasses if that, and 3 small onion Barjis, and 3 small, slimy chicken pakoras were £6.95 each! I highly don’t recommend eating here, when there’s so many more affordable places elsewhere, and to top it up, they added a £7 service charge without notifying us, and when you’re paying £65 for food alone you don’t expect this without being warned

Best Indian in Westbourne by a mile I understand that they are about to open another one in Ashley Cross ✝️ looking forward to that immensely

We had a family meal here. Which did turn out to be incredibly costly for five (2 adults and 3 children). The staff were friendly but we have had the same calibre of curry for a fraction of the cost.

If you have allergies or intolerances i would avoid this place, or be cautious, menu does not show allergies and staff are not equipped to deal wit this. Got sick after eating here from consuming gluten despite making it known to them I’m intolerant. I would also add there is no accessible toilet for disabled and stairs very steep. A nice atmosphere and nice food, but if you have allergies its not worth the risk.

Very bad food. Me and my friends went this restaurant to have food and we had a very bad experience from here. The worst food i have ever in uk. The biriyani quantity was very less and price was very high and also the takeaway and dine in price was different.

We ate here last Saturday. It's a really lovely venue. The staff are very attentive. Our food was very good. We had recently ordered a large family take away and were very impressed with that. I was asked to pay a £10 deposit when booking but we realised this was not taken off the bill . Despite emailing them, I'm still waiting.

We had diner at indi’s this evening fir my eldest daughters birthday. A superb meal and service. Both my daughters and the eldests partner hadn’t eaten there before and said it was the best Indian restaurant they had eaten in Thank you for a wonderful meal and the surprise brownies as a birthday treat

We were in Bournemouth visiting our son who is at Uni. This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend of his and it did not disappoint. The staff were amazing and the food was even better. We have already decided to revisit when we come down next time.

Westbourne is fortunate to have 4 Indian restaurants. This is by far number 1 locally. Great selection of food and drinks with amazing waiting staff.
