I’ve tired about 6 different Indians in Bournemouth and Eye of the tiger is my favourite. Recommend. :-)

One of the finest curries I have had………..ever …… regardless of country!! The wife offered me some of hers and bloody typical, hers was delicious too so I’m now sat here having had my curry and a third of hers and feeling bloated but by god was it worth it!!! Exemplary food, service and price!!

Had a lovely meal last night (14/8/24) Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. One of the best Indian meals we have ever had. Will certainly go back next time we are in Bournemouth. The restaurant setting was great and the staff very attentive.

Ate here last night with a group of friends. It was pre paid via a package so all we had to do was buy beers. The food wasn’t anything special but the main issue was the service as they charged us £9.00 a pint, even when the menu states £5.95. Refused to budge on this. Rude - would avoid at all costs.

Ignore the prices in the massive menu’s under the glass on the tables, they’ve been meaning to change them since Covid… 4 years ago… they’re just decorative now. The Manager is a very angry man. save your money, Tescos do a better microwave meal and the self checkout has better customer service.

Ate here this weekend. With the manager fighting with the only one of our party that had an allergy too nuts and would continue to tell him he can only have a lamb Balti. Tied in the fact we had to pay £8.95 for a singular beer when the menu underneath the glass table mats said £5.95. I will not be eating here again. Poor beer prices. Average tasting beer. Would’ve been better if Hoz turned up too

Food was nice. The menu is from before Covid so prices are out of date. Went for a stag package booked through chilli sauce and had no choice of food and then paid £8 for a pint of kingfisher even though the menu advertises £5.95. Unfriendly staff, very pushy

I've been here during my trip to bournemouth. Because I love the british-indian kitchen, of course I had to try some curries here! So i went to the eye of the tiger. I ordered the Tiger Special - and it was great! I got the pilau Rice with it - that was also really great. The staff is really friendly and you can have a chat with them about this and that... I love it! I have nothing to complain about this place! Can reccomend it to everyone.

Went here last night and was not disappointed. Had a veggie platter which they went to the trouble to veganise for me, delicious.

Fantastic food and great staff Both my wife and I do love Indian food. This restaurant proved to be one of the best we have been to. The food was excellent, so good we dined there for two days. I had the Madras, which was spot on, and my wife had the Vegetable Korma, and on the second visit I had the Balti. All the dishes were done to perfection. They also have a wide range of wines, beers and spirits The staff are attentive, but allow you to get on and enjoy your meal without being pandering. Will dine here again when in Bournemouth

Having been told that this was a great Indian and one of the best in Bournemouth we thought we'd give it a try. At first seemed like it was going to live up to expectations. Waiter polite and listened well to my Indian Heritage friends order. Offering to make it spicy etc. Unfortunately it was rather disappointing. Bland food, Onion Bhajhis as hard as cannon balls. My recommendation is to avoid if you like good Indian fare.

The food is second to none in my opinion. I have been going there for 20 years. They have never let me down and they are very consistent with high attention to detail.

One of the best Currys I have ever eaten this was our third time there and every time has been unbelievable. ........ Would recommend if you like great food and great service

My family and I dined here (6 of us), on a Sunday evening, we hadn’t booked and was unsure as it didn’t look very busy but we thought we’d give it a go and so glad we did, we were made to feel very welcome even at 9pm on a Sunday evening, the food was exceptional & the service faultless. We wasn’t rushed in any way, the team really couldn’t do enough for us. We would definitely recommend and will return next time we visit the area. Really enjoyed my time there with my family last night. The food was great and the people were truly amazing. The prices were also very good. So all in all a perfect evening. Also want to mention that I forgot to get the name of the person who looked after us but he took his time to have a chat after we had our meal and give us a few tips on where to go and what places to visit in Bournemouth, really friendly and well mannered individual. (Sorry I forgot your name but thank you very much. It was appreciated).

First ever order. Some things good and other not but it does deserve 4 stars and could have been 5 1) rang them before to check vegetables, they were very informative. Thank you 2) order came in good time. 3) order was wrong, mistake was corrected. 4) fresh item was delivered with an apology which was appreciated. Overall, food was lovely and if the order was not wrong, would have been 5 stars. Will order from them again.

This restaurant was recommended to us by the receptionist at our hotel and it didn't disappoint. We received a charming welcome and given a lovely table. Food was quick to arrive and was fabulous, very reasonably priced, too. Would highly recommend.

“Cleaner, brighter” ambient compare to usual Indian restaurant. So far my favourite Indian in Bournemouth. Good food and good service makes it my favourite Indian in Bournemouth so far. Over the last twenty years I have been travelling for business (and not) reason and I have discovered a lot about the world of catering.

I came here tonight for dinner. Food and service was great. Was really nice to meet Alex he is very passionate about his restaurant. I highly recommend. I will definitely be back soon.

Ordered a meal. Half of the meal was not even in stock, however I was not told this upon ordering. Food came out, very disappointed especially when no alternative was offered and staff were very disinterested in compensating the fact I'd paid full price for a meal that never arrived at my table. Is very stupid to even contemplate asking an establishment when ordering food if they have items in stock, but seems to be the case with the eye of the tiger Bournemouth. Okay venue, terrible food experience & lack of empathy from staff as a result.

What a fantastic Curry House. Make sure you visit if you come on holiday. Me and my husband grab a takeaway every week. The food is always spot on. The service is great, they know what I want and I even get a cup of tea while I’m waiting :) Highly recommend

I took my partner here for V-Day. The food is wonderful, great portions for 2 people. The service from the staff is delightful, charming and helpful. The price may seem a tad high, but it's worth it for the quality and flavour of the food. I Highly recommend the mango and lime cider.

Minus 5 stars was just lumps gristle n fat was worst takeaway ever known unedible, by law should got refund if had any pride was just wrong . And I eat many places Indian especially and travelled, there's much better anywhere tbh no thankyou was not even chewable will not try again and that was ages ago I sent pics and emails at the time and you refused to do anything so never again thankyou

Great food that tastes delicious, for me the best Indian food in Bournemouth. I also lived in India for 9 years so I do know my food and tastes , hats off to the chef & can't wait to go back .

Our second visit to Bournemouth and this lovely restaurant in three months. The food is amazing, lovely atmosphere, great location and I suspect a well run family business. We look forward to calling again.

We moved away from Bournemouth 4 years ago but still come back a couple of times a year and when we do, we always eat at The Eye. Fabulous food and very friendly and efficient service. See you again!

lovely people, great service, food hot and fresh and very quickly out of the kitchen. if you’re a fiend for spice like me then give the ‘tiger blast’ a shot. absolutely not for beginners but dry heat and full flavour, really quite good

Tiny portions, mix grill is tiny and small for 16 pounds just for this dish is not worth the price , lamb briani rice not that great , it's my frist time to order from them but It will be my last .

Lovely food, loads of flavour and really good value for money

We were staying in Bournemouth for one night and during a walk about in the day this restaurant stood out from the rest. I’m so glad we returned that evening. We were warmly welcomed and seated. The staff were lovely and the food delicious. The restaurant itself is very plush and roomy. We have no plans to visit Bournemouth again but if we happen to be there we will definitely return.

Food was very tasty however portions were a let down as they were very small not value for money.

Went as a family with our 2 young children, early ish so it wasn't too busy. Lovely staff, great food. Good value. Toilets could do with a redecoration. Overall, good location and meal - would recommend!

This is Bangladeshi not authentic Indian. Please don't expect Indian taste. Very expensive. Small portion. Not worth the money

Have just come home from having a lovely meal. The staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, very tasty. The popadoms were the best I’ve ever had, very crispy, melting in your mouth. I’m not from Bournemouth, am from Bristol, but will certainly go there again, when we come to Bournemouth to holiday again. Thanks very much.

We actually first came to the Eye of the Tiger over twenty years ago so after such a long time I was excited to come back and try the food. It must now be under new management and it’s be redecorated inside it’s been blandly updated and there was no music playing. The food was very nice although very small portions on the main dishes , rice and side dishes. The staff were very friendly and even ordered us a taxi. We would come back , this is just my opinion and some constructive criticism.

My boy and I have been to eat. We have had Chicken Bombay and Chicken Pathia, with two types of rice and meat samosa as a starter and everything was very good. The fast service. Normal price for the area.

Staff are really helpful & nice, portions are small bit expensive, overall I'd give it 4 stars.

The staff don’t have sense of talking with clients. When I specifically have asked for table of 7 (including 1 child) the response was varied from staff to staff and i ended up not having table at all! Avoid this restaurant.

I was very disappointed with my food, I chose this place because its been in the town centre for a very long time & I trusted it's reputation. Well I can honestly say it's the worst Indian meal I've ever had. Onion bhaji were tiny & very dry, lacking in flavour & the sauce with it was an awful watery taste. The chicken kurma was bland as was the pilau rice too. The aloo gobi was massively lacking in flavour too. Never ever again will I order food from here. I always order the same dishes every time I get Indian food so it was easy to compare taste & quality with the many other take aways I've used.

First time here, and what a lovely place to have dinner. Great experience, great service, and wow great food! I would have taken pictures, but I was too engrossed in the food to even think about it! Definitely will be back

Gorgeous Chicken Vindaloo & Balti, possibly best we've ever had. Turned us down flat when we asked for Banana fritters! Noisy neighbours from Stoke was only downside, but they were having a good time!

What a wonderful restaurant staff were friendly, food was lovely and hot fast service and nothing was too much trouble. Just a shame we don’t live local as this would be the new go to place. Well Done excellent from start to finish and price was reasonable!

Tbh a little disappointing but there are hints this could be a good curry house. I say hints as flavours were good but my chicken was over cooked in the madras and poppadoms were chewy rather than crisp. Not what I'd expect.

What a brilliant restaurant, definitely the best curry I've had sine eating at Asha's in Birmingham several years ago. From when you arrive you are greeted as a friend, made to feel welcome & nothing is too much trouble. The menu has a great choice of dishes, the food & service are both excellent & to top it off the evening was extremely good value.

The best Indian food and service so clean and polite a place we look forward to dining out. Joanne and Rick

We had been there to have our dinner. The staff was a bit confused and unwelcoming even when I called on the phone and confirmed with them. They are asking questions to each other that whether they have a table for us, which was a laughter for me. 2ndly as we entered in the Best seats that we wanted for 5 of us, that was ignored saying someone is going to come but later no one came..that was another Joke. We were made to sit in some corner adding a single chair in the middle for making 4 tables to 5 . 3rd. The food quantity was too poor. May be the staff/ chef should get their own colleague or family then they will know the insult. I paid the bill 70£ and I was embarrassed to see the quantity. For £12 they offered the lowest portion, and the main boss seems to be a bit confused..they need to improve on what and how they offer. Yeah! We Neither saw the Eye 👀 nor the Tiger 🐯. My reputation went down becoz of this Tiger 🐅. It was an insulting experience for me to bring my office colleagues in here.

Can’t recommend enough. Firstly the place is completely spotless, the waiters were so friendly, attentive and couldn’t help us enough. The wait for food was a little longer than other places but the food was so lovely and cooked from fresh so we were more than happy with the slightly longer wait.

Indian cuisine is my absolute favorite. Visiting Bournemouth, eye of the tiger served the worst Indian food I've had in my entire life. Shrimp in spaghetti sauce and 2 scraps of lamb in the lamb dish. Drinks with no booze. Go across the street to Lahore. Food is great and byob. Should have stayed with them for my second and last night in town.

The food is really wonderful, the chef is high quality and consistently good, the waiting staff are professional, courteous,and intelligent. I have been coming here to this restaurant for years because they never let me down. Always a high degree of cleanliness and concern with the customer's requirements even when those customers are sometimes rude and demanding. This restaurant is my favourite in all of the countries i have been to. There is a high degree of integrity in the management and staff. These things are important and add to the quality of the experience. I recommend this restaurant 100%.

Ate here on an awful night wether wise, but the food and service here was first class. Very fresh and tasty food, generous portions and would definitely come back again.

Was staying in Bournemouth for one night, fancy a Indian meal, wasn’t disappointed, , very clean and fresh dining area, very busy on takeaways (Wednesday) only 2 other dinners, very good menu selection, staff excellent, food was very good, different dishes, to others so time to try something new, very tasty

Best curry I've had for ages, possibly the best ever. I currently live in Southampton and this is certainly much better than the 5 different places I've tried in Southampton so far, and all the places I've tried in Christchurch. So much flavour, it's obvious good quality ingredients are used. They make the curry pastes and pickles in house and it's very obvious they don't just chuck in extra chilli powder when you want it hot. I had the Tiger Blast and asked for it hotter than vindaloo. It's chicken-based, made with peppers etc and naga chillies. They get their naga from Dorset Naga which is a great company. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The level of heat was perfect. When I have vindaloo at other places and ask for it extra hot, I'm often not happy with the strength. I made the mistake of going to Mela in Christchurch recently. A friend and I both like a hot vindaloo. I asked for mine hotter than normal and it came out tasting like Madras strength and the sauce was like tomato soup with chilli powder. Anyway, Eye of the Tiger made me a perfect curry and it was only £12.50 I think. Rice extra of course. Staff were top notch. Next time I want a curry, I've decided I'll come over to Bournemouth to Eye of the Tiger. No point having second best. I might not have found the right woman for me yet, but I've found the right curry house!

We were visiting Bournemouth for a couple of days and looked on TA for a restaurant recommendation. We chose "The Eye of the Tiger" as it had good reviews. We eat out regularly and were very impressed by the food and service we received. We...

Nice setup. Average food. Poor service. The servers don't have the time to look up from their phones to help you with your order. Also, the chicken was completely covered in red food colour (🤢), the Tikka was pretty bland, and the only saving grace was the Tiger blast. Did not meet the expectations or the hype.

Lovely food in the restaurant rated best Indian in Bournemouth. Only downmark is the drink prices . Four pound for a small lime and soda . Too much !

The restaurant was empty and I appeared to be the first customer of the evening. The poppadoms were crispy but the mango chutney was dry and looked like it had been sitting there for days, also there was no yoghurt with the poppadoms which is...

I love this place even though the heating isn’t great on cold winter nights. However the prices are reasonable, and staff friendly and attentive. Big menu laid out as part of the table tops, lots of choices too. The Thali is exquisite, truly wonderful mix of tastes without being lost in excess heat 👍 👍👍

My self and my husband had a fabulous , tasty meal here . We had not been before but certainly would again . Good excellent , service exemplary and looking forward to returning .

Happy with the food and service. Had delivery from uber where a small mistake was made and eye of the tiger rectified it as a matter of priority. Very happy with the resolution and more customer service like that everywhere would be great.

We held a "work do" for over 10+ people here. That can be a bit like herding cats, but the staff handled all of our requests very efficiently. The food was excellent, the interior pleasantly modern, and I felt well looked after. I'll be going again for sure.
