The best restaurants serving Indian food in South West

One of our favourite restaurants in Cheltenham. The street food starters are great. You never know quite what they'll be like, but they're always delicious, different and a surprise. Nice to have some different curries and flavours than the usual British curries. It seems more authentic (not having been to India!)

Absolutely fantastic food . All the food was cooked with care , it really was delicious. I haven’t had food that authentic since visiting India. Staff were very professional and friendly. Would throughly recommend. We will be returning very soon.

Friendly local pub that made us feel welcome. The chef was amazing the food superb and a good night was had by all. (The clotted cream ice cream was to die for)

Second visit to Rockleigh Takeaway and managed to have the Beef Stroganoff this time. Delicious it was too. As was the Thai Fish Curry. Really enjoyed it and generous portion too.

First time here and impressed. It was busy for midweek which says something given in middle of nowhere. Popadoms were warm, crispy and plenty of pickles. Mains were good, lots more sauce than meat but tasty. Naan was delicious. Definitely be returning. Staff very attentive.

Just amazing! Went for lunch on Saturday with my partner and my parents and the food was absolutely delicious. We were running late and that wasn’t a problem at all. Really busy and a great atmosphere. Best curry I’ve had and it’s so refreshing to have somewhere in the south west like it. Great service and will absolutely be back again! Great value for money and massive portions. And you’re not rushed at all. Nice and laid back. It’s a yes from us!

Lovely meal, lovely service. The Everest crispy chicken (Nepalese) was one of the best dishes I've ever had from an Indian.

Our first time to order food in this restaurant but I wish we knew this place when as they serve excellent food here we ordered for takeaway the aleppey beef and kerala beef and they were delicious! They used lean meat beef plus not oily the whole family loves it! Thank you soo much!

We were 2 indian families, 8 nos in total, with a mix of veg and non-veg preferences. We really enjoyed our dinner experience at Mittee - the food was just 5 star amazing, with a good ambience, and very attentive staff. Plenty of parking in front and nearby which is a big plus. Coming to the meals, our group (aged between 10 to late 40s) went through a number of starters and main course dishes, all of them fantastic and fabulous. Notes below: Starters ======== - If you are a veggie, we strongly recommend Chilli Veg Momos and Veg Manchurian. - The non-veg contingent really enjoyed Chicken Tikka and Chilli Chicken in a semi dry gravy that can only be described as mouth wateringly delicious! Mains ====== - You may not see this on the menu, but ask if you can get a Paneer Alina (named after a family member we heard) - really tasty to a desi palette - Those who tasted Chicken Mirchi had only superlatives to describe it - Naans were fresh and delicious Overall, a new found gem in Bromley. Two words “truly amazing” Stayed just up road and walking past on arrival into Lynton the food aroma was inviting. Second day we called in couldn’t resist. The Service was super friendly like talking to an old friend. You don’t get massive choice but each week a selection of amazing dishes which is a benefit rather than a negative. Most places offer wider options but this can affect quality, Spicy Mare offers a small selection that works well together ultimately improving the quality and experience. You will not be disappointed
