The best restaurants serving Indian food in Dartford South East

When the poppadoms aren't cooked well you know it's not going to be great! Service is awful - seem to concentrate on takeaways rather than seated customers. Food not fab either - luke warm. And to top it off they added a service charge which we didn't pay. Won't return

I had high hopes for Siam Radhuny in Dartford, but unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of disappointing. We were a party of seven celebrating a special family birthday and had booked well in advance, receiving confirmation of our reservation online. However, when we arrived, it became clear that our booking had been entirely overlooked. Despite showing the confirmed reservation on email at the door, we were left waiting for a table to become available and cleaned. This was not the start we had envisioned for our celebration. The issues didn’t end there. Once seated, our starters arrived at different times, with some members of our party finishing their plates long before the last person was served. Even more frustrating, there was over an hours wait between finishing our starters and the main course arriving, leaving us wondering if we had been forgotten. We had to ask several times being told that our mains were on their way. When the main courses finally arrived, two of the side dishes were cold - not just lukewarm, but cold to the touch - and had to be sent back to the kitchen. My mother’s tofu dish seemed to be overcooked, making it hard and chewy, not the soft texture one would expect from tofu. Additionally, the service throughout the meal was poor. The waiters were inattentive, rarely checking in on us, and we struggled to get their attention for additional drinks. Some of the cutlery was also dirty, which we asked to be replaced, only to have to remind the waitress to bring replacements. Once we finished our mains, the neglect continued. There was no attention to our table, and we had to actively seek out someone to ask for the bill as we had decided not to wait further for deserts or coffees. When we raised our concerns with the manager, his only excuse was that the restaurant was busy. He had no empathy to the situation or resolution, even with his "30 years experience in the business???". It took prompting from us to even get an apology from the manager, and there was no offer of compensation or even a round of complimentary drinks to make up for the poor experience. We even had to ask for the service charge to be removed from the bill - a service charge that certainly wasn’t earned. Overall, what should have been a memorable birthday celebration was tainted by subpar service, long waits, and poorly executed dishes. It’s hard to imagine returning after such a frustrating experience. We expected far more, especially given the occasion. A restaurant’s success hinges on more than just food - it’s about the experience, the service, and this one failed on every level. I didn't want to give them even 1 star.... To add, this restaurant seems to focus on its take-away customers, as take-away orders seemed to leaving the kitchen faster that dine in customers..... what a great business model!

Food great, however, mine was cold and the service I received when I collected my takeaway was very poor. I arrived exactly on time and, despite there being no one else waiting, I stood for quite a while before anyone came over to speak to me. No problem here, they are a restaurant after all. However, the guy immediately came back with my meal - which I suspect had been packed and ready all of the time I was waiting. The food was cold. The web menu is also incorrect. If you want a chicken Tikka main, then do not order a chicken Tikka main (even though the web order menu has this option). I did this and got a chicken Tikka Dhansak (which is chicken Tikka in curry sauce). I showed the guy what I ordered, but he made me pay £11.25 for the extra chicken tikka main (that I had initially ordered). The only good thing was that they had one ready, so no extra delay incurred for my already cold meal. It was my intention to switch our weekly takeaway for my family of five to Radhuny as we often end up ordering Chinese and Indian - I may try them once more but phone through the order and make sure they understand what I want. Good food ruined by poor/slow service leading to cold food.

Food was very nice and the staff were even lovelier. Had a great time thank you.

I told them to make it very spicy and I got as I asked. It’s really nice with Mooboo bubble tea as it’s spicy and sweet and refreshing raspberry nojito sparkling. Perfect combination ❤️

food was amazing as always, wil probably order directly next time due to the delivery being shocking. not the restaurants fault at all. the restaurant had to call the delivery driver to find out where they were. we order from here often directly with no problem. delivery driver marked that it was delivered at 20:25 without a code from us but didn't arrive until 20:50. food was on the colder side unfortunately but not fault to the restaurant.

Had a takeaway and it was awful and stone cold the chicken tikka main we had was just plain chicken not an fried onion in site the breads were cold and the curries were boring cold and tasteless they have gone off the boil won’t be back

Lovely Indian restaurant with great vibes and food. Went with a few friends on a Tuesday night and the food was as good as ever. Been a few times now and always a great experience. Best Indian in West Sussex

Very nice lamb Briyani, big portion… The spice is just right (not too spicy)… Next time I’ll try the wraps ……………………………..

We have had chicken tikka Missilla 3 times in the last month, it's absolutely amazing definitely the best flavours ever! also the guys that work there are so helpful 👌 worth 5 stars and more x keep up the good work

Myself and my wife thought we would try somewhere different from our regular eating house's. Wow the food and service here is really good. I'm 61 and noticed a few of the other customers were of a similar age. It seemed clear that a lot of local customers appreciate the excellent food and service the Kent Curry House offers 👌

This used to be one of the best in Dartford, was our go to Indian takeaway, but the last 2x orders have been awful. Watered down sauces with little to no taste. Must have changed hands as I see they’re now also trying to sell burgers. Avoid at all costs.

Arrived within the time slot. The temperature of the food was good, no need to reheat like with some deliveries. Full of flavour.

We arrived especially early (16:35) even before the guys got into their uniforms and everyone was incredibly accommodating. We have a daughter who is in a wheelchair and they made us all feel at ease. We have always loved the take away here and thought we would try eat in. The food was fabulous and better priced than take away via the mobile apps. The service was exceptional. Thank you for making my daughter feel listen to and respected.
