April 2023…I have eaten all round St. Albans, every curry house and takeaway since the 1970s from the days of the Koh-I-Noor and onward, and all I can say is, this takeaway is right up there for service, and curries. It’s now my option for every takeaway when I fancy a curry, their food is simply superb. I can’t fault it, and I’ve had several since I started using it this year. Highly recommend 10/10…..April 23rd 2024 - City spice a year on? Sad to say it’s gone downhill, several of the last orders had issues, consistency being a real problem, onion bhajis were hit and mainly miss! what a difference a year makes? Last nights dupiaza curry was swimming in oil, that’s never happened before, something is not good, quality matters. I Decided to give city spice another chance today 2/7/2024 after speaking with manager of city spice, and they came up trumps! Very good food all round, onion bhajis were the best I’ve had in a long time, dupiaza and Bombay aloo were superb, in all! The best food that couldn’t be faulted, the quality and food were 10/10, the manager promised change if I would order again which I did, they delivered, first class meal, if consistency is maintained? I would highly recommend👍👍👍👍👍 it’s good to see the consistency and quality, their onion bhajis have been very good and superb each time ordered, keep up the quality guys🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡

So so sorry but our last experience was dreadfully disappointing, popped in after a day out and just wanted a few starter's. myself and husband ordered a bottle of house wine, warm had to ask for ice to find it was a bottle of Sainsbury own wine chein blanc (£5.50 a bottle) stunded i know i should have taken a photo. samosas were what you would buy in any supermarket. awful 😖. WILL NEVER RETURN. Final bill was £50.00 For 5 starter's & charged a £20.50 for the wine.
