Great food tonight at Chilli Raj …I had the lamb Methi . So fragrant .. others had Chicken tikka Bhuna and a chicken tikka Balti .. starters were amazing …highly recommend this establishment. Our server was Mohsin and so attentive without being overbearing ..

Each dish was very fresh, not greasy and packed with flavour. The service was excellent, everyone is so friendly, attentive and accommodating. It was an absolute pleasure to dine here. I live in St Albans and always driven by, I am very glad we went in.

Delicious food, nice & spacious well-lit atmosphere and reasonable prices. Very impressed. Between two of us we had a starter, two main dishes, three side dishes, a large sparkling mineral water and a beer - it all came to under £70. Would definitely recommend. It's only a Tuesday but it's busy so make sure to book ahead (although we arrived at 7pm and didn't need to)

Been eating here for 2 years and every experience has always been like the first. Great food as always. On this occasion I ordered a Lamb Chops Main recommended by Shahin. It was tender, soft and delicious. The service and food was 10/10. Will be back again soon.

Came here on a Saturday evening, around 6/7pm. We didn't have a booking, but after a quick check, staff sorted a table for us. Had poppadoms and chutneys to start, which were lovely. The young lad taking our order was silent though, not very friendly. Had chicken korma and butter chicken. The butter chicken tasted very coconutty, exactly like the korma, so while it was nice, not what I ordered. Unfortunately there was a very large, loud group also in, so the whole evening was spoiled to be honest and we just ate our food and left. Obviously this isn't the restaurant's fault, and just bad luck I guess, but not enjoyable and won't bother returning.

We ordered with Deliveroo, who were 30 minutes late!! However, this wasn't Chilli Raj's fault as it's out of their control and the person I spoke to at the restaurant was apologetic. The food, as usual was very good and we'll be ordering from here again ( though we'll try and order from the website instead next time)

We had a fabulous dinner for an adult family of four and took advantage of the Monday (and Tuesday) special offer of a starter, side dish, rice or nan and a main course for £18.99 - all from the main menu which is very extensive and varied. We also had the obligatory poppadoms of course. (Duck and sea-food options have a small surcharge) Every plate of food was delicious and beautifully presented. It's not McDonalds, top quality, freshly prepared food, made to order takes as long as it takes to cook, it's as simple as that. Service from Hassan & Mohsin was perfect, polite, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient without being intrusive. £135 including service charge, a bottle of wine, a small Cobra beer and soft drinks. Great value. We will be back and will no doubt become regulars.

Our visit to this amazing restaurant on Tuesday night!! My family and I were very surprised from the quality of the food in terms of flavour, presentation and portions. BE CAREFUL! we ordered a £25 bottle of Australian Shiraz. WE WERE SERVED JACOBS CREEK SHIRAZ worth about £9 in morrisons. cunningly, there were no details on the wine list. If they actually believed it was quality, they would have put it on the menu. Clearly didn't want to advertise they were offering cheap tat.

We all work very hard and took time off to celebrate our friend's birthday, so it was disheartening to be treated as if we were just there to complain and score a free meal. It's frustrating to hear you repeatedly mention that "no one else complained" that night because it has nothing to do with our specific experience. It feels like you're implying that we're fabricating the entire situation, and that's disheartening. Had our first meal at the Chilli Raj last night. I have driven / walked past it many times as it is about five minutes from where I live but had never been in before. Excellent experience and I will definitely be going back. The food was excellent and the service was great with all of the staff being really friendly. Highly recommended.

I was shocked that I was charged £5 for cake service, without being informed. They didn't inform us before and I cut the cake myself, so there was no service. This wasn't written anywhere and the staff just said its not us it's management 🙄 as we left the young waiter was very rude to us, shouting at the doorstep. I was very shocked. Avoid avoid avoid
